When people get married, they are taking an oath for better or worse. In the struggle for survival, life sometimes forces you to make a decision such as parting with your family for sometime just to make a better way, would such a person choose to watch things get progressively worse or sacrifice now in order not to regret later. Of course life isn't perfect, sh*t happens and plans don't work out but not trying at all is the biggest mistake one can make. For men who are afraid that if they left their wife alone for sometime she would cheat or become frustrated, I say to such men would such a woman not cheat or become frustrated if you couldn't afford to take care of her needs or you became inept? For women claiming the kids would be deprived of their father's love, I say to them would it not be worse watching the kids go through life not able to provide for their basic amenities? This world is a jungle, many of us must move out of our comfort zone in other to provide for those we love. Eat or be eaten! |
poseidon12:What was the alternative? Refuse and fail, watch my mate go for NYSC while dealing with an extra year because I dey form big boy, abegi! |
Love Machine:DSS officials are humans just like you and me, they are just like our police officers and I bet you most of them are owed salaries. Shining shoes for a minister was that particular officer's choice, it is not indicative of all DSS employees! |
JN1:Please keep quiet! If you don't know what to say then kindly mellow instead of yarning rubbish. DSS employees come with ranks, you can't compare the duties of a low level officer to that of a higher ranking member. I'm curious to see, can you can provide evidence which shows shining shoes is against their code of conduct or are you just going by your own intuition? |
I don't understand why people like to make a big deal out of nothing! We like to act like things like this don't happen but it does, it's just part of life. In college days just to get approval of our projects, my friends and I washed our professor's car and fetched water. Some of my friends working in a bank were reduced to errand boys when they first started working at the bank before being promoted. Some councilors are nothing but errand boys for their local government chairman so why the noise? Even OBJ when he was a recruit served his superiors by running errands and look what happened to him, let's stop all these useless ranting, abeg! |
The United States' constitution protects all U.S citizens regardless of their heritage or place of birth, so I know Trump wouldn't make such a delusional statement. We do not need false news like this stirring up controversies! |
Is it a flag? NO Is there any reference to Nigeria in the game? NO Does the storyline suggest any affiliation with Nigeria more than any other country in the world? NO Case closed! |
thymedcurry:Park well jor....Perhaps you don't know the meaning of the word objectification or objectify? Or do you think it's only women that can be objectified? Next time choose your words carefully ![]() |
Very good development, this shouldn't even be news in a responsible society! The North needs so much attention and this can only help. More kids will now be willing to come to school as this might be the only meal they eat all day, sad but true! |
thymedcurry:Will you keep quiet, are you not guilty of the same or is this not a quote from you? Shame! thymedcurry: |
sammhi:Is the topic about morality or the way porn stars feel about their profession? The OP claims that porn stars are living a miserable life and that most of them are HIV positive and this was enough for me to educate him about the industry. In addition, there's no such thing as sexual morality, morality is morality and in this world we all have committed some form of immorality so judge not in other not to be judged! |
selfmadeOLX:Clap for yourself, kid! |
selfmadeOLX:It is not my place to tell others what to do, each person should be able to follow his or her heart. It's not too late, you can advise your mum to go into porn or you can venture into it yourself.....just saying ![]() |
selfmadeOLX:Yes it is,it is recognized as a profession here in the U.S and the porn professionals are highly paid. They are considered actors here and even have their own award ceremonies every year....educate yourself! |
Abylyty:Whoever believes this crap is not only delusional but need to be placed under psychiatric evaluation! The porn industry just like any other regulated industry works according to government regulations and laws of their profession. The workers undergo mandatory testing some of which are random. Some of them actually come from rich, wealthy homes and are very satisfied with their profession. The real problem with the world is the religious nuts in this world thinking you can force your religion or beliefs on people who dare to differ from the way you see and think. With all the religion in the world, it's a shame most of you actually live an unfulfilled, frustrated life! |
Until the OP reveals what is actually wrong with the girl, he should be ignored! Obviously something fishy is going on here, as if the girl does not have any family or friends that can be reached! |
Yet the best universities in Nigeria does not rank in the top 500 in the world, what a shame! Nigerians stop celebrating mediocrity! |
Some guys are more emotional than others and it could be that maybe someone he wanted to witness the wedding was not there or probably passed away. So many things can make someone emotional but for most guys on wedding day we are busy thinking when will this be over or I hope say we go make some cash to recover part of the expenses ![]() |
cococandy:Ehn Ehn.....So you love shaking booty for Jesu.....correct ![]() |
One thing I love about Christian churches, never a dull moment! From singing and dancing to miracles and deliverances. I'm amazed every freaking time! Pure genius, absolutely magnificent.....The greatest show on earth ![]()

There's no arguing with facts, this is spot on! You can't champion the anti-corruption war and yet approve such ridiculous budgets, this is one of the few things that PMB totally got wrong and I hope the more people cry out about this the more informed our leaders become. A government website for a ministry at most should not be more than 200 million naira and only if it has subdomains for each one of the 36 states. |
Fake story, check the source and read, it's clear to see it's all rubbish! Enough of this evil act, people spreading rumors up and down just to deceive Nigerians. Any right thinking Nairalander should always check the source before commenting, this is the only way we can weed out the truth from the blatant lies! http://www.vanguardngr.com/2016/01/buhari-storms-out-of-meeting-with-bbog-as-mama-taraba-chides-organisers-chibok-parents/ |
DSS stopped you and yet you still had room for a long text. You are so popular yet most people don't know you exist not even those in Maryland recognize your presence, my friend stop being a nonentity and find something to do, ask around perhaps you were picked up by scammers or robbers, leave DSS out of your propaganda! |
Teempakguy:A wise man once said, "When it comes to survival, the end will always justify the means! If someone or something poses a direct threat to my family or livelihood, it is my natural instinct to remove the threat by any means necessary.....case closed! |
Teempakguy:I don't understand what sold away means but let me try: If you meant selling the cat to someone else, I really don't know many people that would buy a black cat for a pet, most people buy black cat for purpose of traditional rituals or medicine. If you meant releasing the cat into the wild, what gives you the assurance that the cat wouldn't come back to repeat the same crime, in case you don't know cats are some of the most stubborn animals in the world. For the record, I don't fully support killing the cat and burning it, poison would have worked just as effectively! |
Baroba:Clap for yourself! By your reasoning, if humans don't want to be invaded by other humans, animals and so on, they should built a dome over their houses and surround it by a 12 foot wall.....hilarious! Whatever happened to not living in fear? You mentioned cats are carnivorous in nature, so I guess that gives the cat the right to eat as many chickens or livestock as it could eat since they are cats and are just doing what comes naturally....rubbish! What annoys me the most is that you believe all cats are pets and that all humans can afford to part with the little they have....I bet you've never known poverty in your life and I pray you never have reason to witness such! |
Teempakguy:Sorry don't mean to be rude but you sound like someone that's never struggled for anything! A human being will not go into another person's domain and steal food or money, if a human does that and gets caught, there would be serious consequences. The cat invaded someone's territory and at such got what it deserved! Don't give me that crap about it only doing what comes natural, if a bear or lion attacked you and somehow you survived, would you be willing to entertain the animal next time or would you do all that is in your power to make your environment safe? Even in the USA, we've seen animals put down for attacking another person's child or pet not to talk of 9ja! |
Teempakguy:Please stop acting as if you are oblivious to the plight of the masses in Nigeria, perhaps you are! Try to reason before criticizing, go back and read what the OP posted, you would notice this is not the first offence for the cat. The OP deliberately built a trap in order to stop the menace, releasing the cat to the wild solves nothing! Also, you mentioned 3 chickens are not enough to feed him, this is where you are wrong, if 2 out the 3 chickens are hens and the remaining one is a rooster, the 3 could quickly turn to 10 or more within a couple of months, I know you might not be familiar with the poultry business but take it from me, livestock or poultry farming can be a source of livelihood for many years if done properly! |
Teempakguy:Leave Grammar for the Novelist would you! We're talking about Nigeria where poverty is the order of the day, where corruption has killed more people than diseases. When you depend on the sale of chickens for survival and some wild cat came to destroy your livelihood, tell me what stops you from removing the intruder! Keep your moral lessons to yourself, humans are dying of hunger and you are here talking about pets....rubbish! |
Nairalanders are so funny, it's like some of you are so entrenched in what's going on in Western civilization that you forgot this is 9ja! Someone just lost several chickens to a wicked cat and you all are shouting animal abuse, do you know the cost of chicken? Some even said take it to the animal shelter or release it back to the streets since it was only looking for food, to those people I say, wake up! Poor guy must have been calculating how much those chickens would fetch and one useless cat just devoured them just like that, wicked cat! |
snailspeed:What you've just said is false, which law exactly are you referring to? Please provide evidence of such a law if it exists! |
