Yoruba aint cowards! They are just reserved. I like them but don't pass ur boundary sha!
We are cowards jaare, out of all the tribes wey fit blow themselves up or die for a cause, na Yoruba scarce pass, aboki people na dem be expert suicide bombers, Igbo and Southerners na dem be pipeline vandals and MEND, Yoruba all we've got is a dysfunctional OPC cult that are easily settled with money.. We love life to the fullest and would rather make deals with the devil than to sacrifice our lives. The only reason Yoruba nation seems a little strong is because of Lagos, take Lagos away and what you'll see is a widely marginalized tribe just like the Igbos with the only difference being that we Yorubas are contented with what we have and are happy to hide and live to fight another day!

Ignorant people, if any of you bothered to read the news you would have seen the media anticipating N. Korea's nuclear bomb test. The fact that one religious nut made an educated guess does not make it a prophecy. As far as I'm concerned, T.B Joshua has not said anything spectacular or foreign to the educated minds. All you have to do is watch CNN and BBC regularly and you too can claim to be prophetic....nonsense!

Sharia law is an abomination and a sign or illiteracy in the Muslim world! Followers of the Quran knows that vengeance is for Allah alone and that he is certainly capable of defending himself. Sharia law just like the hadiths have created more problems than solutions. Just like the Jews and their traditions, some laws are meant to be done away with during modern times!

Kindly let the girl go as the both of you are not compatible or are you ready for marriage now? A virgin like yourself has no business dating a non virgin, most times it's always complicated when the guy is the inexperienced one. The fact that she's revealing her frustrations to you shows that she cares for you a lot, most girls in her situation would have gotten it on the side and leave you clueless, take note!

PDP should shut the f*ck up! He'll be charged to court and given the chance to defend himself!

Videos games are addictive, same way I'm addicted to my work in the theatre. But it grows me. You see. Not all addictions are as deleterious as porn. Go figure.

cheesy cheesy cheesy
I'm glad you just proved me right! So you do agree that video games are addictive yet you are effective at work, the same video game addiction caused a Russian man to lose his job and his family.

http://www.forbes.com/sites/insertcoin/2015/12/27/man-sues-bethesda-because-fallout-4-is-too-addictive/

This means while pornography is also addicting, many people can still function effectively....I rest my case!

Lol. When you said it was crap, I was looking forward to a brilliant argument, but... You just said nothing, for all I care. You don't know about the hand-brain coordination needed to play video games, do you? You don't know why doctors who are tennis players become the best surgeons in their generation. Do you? I will engage more intelligent folks. cheesy
You're still speaking jargon! Google is your friend, video games are just as addictive if not more addictive than pornography, so what works for one should work for the other right? Your analysis should bode well for video games just as it did for pornography but a careful examination reveals it holds no weight at all. You might be a neurologist or whatever but your argument is weak and you know it!

atleast we can stop this silly blaming each other for every little bullshiit....we simply dont produce enough end-products....!!!
We all know it's not enough but it is a step in the right direction,if the refineries were working for the past 15 years,I'm sure production would have been sufficient by now. What the government need is encouragement not critics dragging us backwards!

Erectile dysfuntion is a possible health risk...by this i mean when you indulge in masturbation, you find it difficult to maintain a healthy erection that will lead to ejaculation and even if you manage to ejaculate after one round of sex, the next round will take long to start and even when you begin you will find it very difficult to ejaculate. This is the case because the vargina does not have such grasp as your hand while you are masturbating and as such you will find it difficult to ejaculate after one round. this act is also addictive as you might be ejoying it bacause you dont have a girlfriend but trust me, when its in your blood you will leave your wife at night and masturbate ...the act is not good, thats the truth...am speaking from experience and i have conquered it with God.
Bullsh*t! Masturbation has actually been proving to help maintain a good erection. Men with erectile dysfunction are often encouraged to masturbate first and then engage in sexual intercourse because we all know for these men the problem is mostly anxiety and masturbation takes away that! What you are referring to is chronic masturbation which happens to less than 10% of all masturbaters, please get your facts straight!

Attention Deficit Disorder, quite different from HyperKinetic Attention Deficit Disorder found in hyperactive little children is what happens to porn addicts.

The process of storing long term information in the brain is called consolidation, which occurs after acquisition. Acquisition can occur in the spinal cord and this is called short term memory. However, long term memory is a job for the brain cortex itself, so in consolidation, the brain commits information acquired into long term memory.

So short term memory information is easily produced when needed coz it is usually at the spinal level, that is why if a person is a fast thinker, we say that he keeps his information at spinal level.

How does pornography rubbish memory?

Information, stored as groups of neurons all over the cerebral cortex follow a particular logarithmic curve in the process of Recalling. They are traced in the same pattern they are stored eg from visual cortex (if from sight) to the amygdala. Forgetting, a normal form of amnesia can be dangerous if complicated by things that acts on the brain's reward system, such as drugs (amphetamines and the likes), consistent and tireless orgasm and subsequent squirting /ejaculation all alter the brains logarithmic curve in Recalling. By nature, creation takes the easier pathway in times of conflict of interest, thus it won't be a surprise to see the brain surrendering it's engrams (bundles of stored information in the cortex) to pleasure. This displaces your information and makes you look stupid in interviews and examinations.

Have you wondered why a good student in secondary school starts dropping in academic expectations once she gets a boyfriend who spoils her with goodies and sex?

Pleasure is a NO for memory. Focus is the key of all geniuses and inventors.

I might do a very extensive thread on this if I have time.
If this is not the biggest crap written on this forum it's definitely one of the biggest. Do you know who watches the most porn in the world? Geeks and Nerds, these intelligent beings make up for their lack of social skills by watching pornography, visiting sex chat forums and other virtual reality stores. How do you explain this? If pornography is such a danger to memory, shouldn't these geeks and nerds be affected greatly? Sounds to me like your research is manipulative as the connection to pornography can easily be used for any other activity which requires time and focus. E.g- Video games, Watching Series or Seasonal films, e.t.c

It's a great step forward, more news like this and maybe there's hope for APC in 2019. We still have a long way to go and Nigerians are not smiling, now that refineries are working, let's make them more efficient so we can end this dependency on foreign importation. Let those that call Buhari a dictator take note that this dictator might be the best thing to ever happen to Nigeria!

The problem with Nigerians is that we think we are smarter than everyone else when in reality we are being made a laughing stock! Masturbation is the most natural thing any human can do, it's not only for guys but for women too and in fact 80% of all humans within their prime do it. We've seen cases were men and women were so Hot that they slept with someone they should never have slept with, we've also seen cases were a guy visits a who.re house just so he can cure his urges. That's not all, we've seen pedophiles and adultery gone up because of strong uncontrollable urges by some individuals! The solution to some of these urges has always been masturbation for many, it provides immediate relief without the risk of STDs or unwanted consequences, it is a promoter of faithfulness and a saver of money, why would anyone be against such a natural thing? I believe where most people are confused is when it becomes excessive or when we have guilty conscience from doing it and to those people I say, life is all about self control! Most of you feel guilty for masturbating but feel no guilt for smashing a girl you just met or sleeping with a guy you are not married to, we've become such an hypocritical society that we are willing to fight something which has little to no medical consequences and yet keep shut about the more dangerous acts many of us practice secretly, SHAME!

This is nonsense and an example of what I said when I stated the black man is too ignorant. It is too easy for them to pull wool over your eyes.

GEJ point wasn't stealing was not corruption. His point was stealing is not the ONLY form of corruption.

In Western world, they are developed and understand that power abuse, non-monetary favors and other actions which affect the institution of government negatively are corruption as well.

However not in African countries, where people are so backward they welcome every other form of corruption then wonder why they never make any progress.

They are too simple-minded. Only focused on money while the institution rots; then wonder why white countries progress while Nigeria doesn't.
You're still typing jargon! I stay in the Western world and believe me corruption still exists. From espionage to inside trading, from nepotism to outright racism, I've seen it all. You keep comparing Nigeria to the Western world but you lack one thing and that is objectivity! Let's take the U.S for example, a country which got independence in 1776, let's add 56 years to that and we have 1832. In the year 1832, the U.S had not undergone the industrial revolution, it was not an economic powerhouse and a lot of the systems were backwards. Nigeria is also 56 years old, stop expecting perfection and start being realistic! The only African country that can claim to be far ahead of Nigeria is South Africa and yet they also suffer from economic crisis, corruption and so on,so please save your ignorance for someone else!

They leaky have you guys believing GEJ was the only President that stealing occurred under. They have you believing thieves like El Rufai are innocent when they played a major role in the problem the past 16 years as leaders in PDP.

It is saddening how simple minded Blacks can be. It is too easy to pull wool over their eyes.

In another year you same people will be begging whites from Western countries to save you from this same Buhari.
I love the fact that your pessimistic point of view almost justifies the bigotry in your mind. No GEJ is not the only president that stealing occurred under but he is the only one to ever believe that stealing is not corruption and corruption is not stealing. No Buhari is not a saint and he's not the messiah but he is doing something rather than playing dumb and watching the economy sucked dry by certain politicians or civil servants. I know you don't believe in Buhari but some of us do, so please keep your prophecy of doom to yourself!

Progress? Is dictatorship progress?

When the executive arm of government ignores and tramples on the judicial arm of government, it opens the door of anarchy.

The question to ask is why are Africans so backward mentally?

It is only in African countries like Nigeria where they will welcome dictatorship.

It shows how pathetic the people of the country truly are.
If the last administration had shown any form of decency we wouldn't have the need to hunt down those who are trying to bankrupt us financially and socially. What you call dictatorship many see as a fight to put the country back in order and unless your family is among those being prosecuted right now, I see nothing wrong in Buhari actually showing some balls and making a firm point against our corrupt judiciary!

Rather I propose he is released under probation and put under heavy surveillance, we need more proof of his atrocities in order to justify his next arrest and ultimately his elimination.
Career › Re: Computer Enginnering Or Computer Science by abbey621(m): 7:42pm On Jan 04, 2016
The problem you have is not your course of study but your limited mind. There's no such thing as computer science or computer engineering in the real world! Companies expect you to specialize in one or two areas and have limited knowledge of the rest. For example: With Computer Science you can either specialize in Networking, Programming or Security but are expected to have knowledge of Database administration, Data structures and Algorithms and so on. A computer Engineer basically designs hardware and circuitry, they can also build software but the testing and integrity of the software is primarily done by someone with a computer science background. Engineers are heavily geared towards hardware and circuitry something computer scientists rarely specialize in. A computer scientist might have little to no knowledge of diodes and motherboard circuitry but heavy knowledge of software architecture and interpolation. So in short, either field is an awesome choice, in Nigeria what you study rarely matters as we have Computer Scientists working in Engineering departments and Engineers writing codes and testing software.

Education › Re: Why Do Engineering Students Brag To Know Maths More Dan Mathematics Students by abbey621(m): 6:12pm On Jan 03, 2016
Only in Nigeria are those who studied pure Mathematics considered inferior to Engineering students. The truth is both fields are completely different in the ways they practice. In Nigeria, Mathematicians are mostly relegated to the teaching profession while Engineers can work basically anywhere. In advanced societies a Physicist could be more versed in mathematics than a Mathematician or an Engineer, it's all about skills and paths chosen throughout educational career. Finally most people don't realize this but in Nigeria, Mathematics is taught rather than practiced. In the advanced world, a real Mathematician is a researcher, a formulator and the brains behind most Engineering concepts. E.g. A computer engineer is trying to develop a cooling microchip for a processor basically meant for data processing involving operands and other data from the library of congress. Without complex mathematically analysis this would be impossible, without the formulas from great Mathematicians the Engineer would be lost!
Celebrities › Re: Top 10 Revelations From The Don Jazzy And Olamide Showdown At The Headies by abbey621(m): 4:33pm On Jan 03, 2016
(2) Olamide is of a highly questionable character:

Music they say comes from the soul and there is the high possibility of an artiste singing from the way he sees the society. Olamide has been known to be vulgar in his songs. He preaches violence, talks about indiscriminate sex, alcohol and weed. He portrayed the vivid picture on the Headies Award stage by using swear words in Yoruba language. He also allegedly destroyed the Headies green room and beat up a fan that hailed him at the event. This is not the image he wants his son, Miliano to take after.
Shoro ni yen? Some of the greatest rappers in the world rapped about violence, women and weed yet they live a comfortable life and their family is doing great so keep shut!

I would have believed this story if the fan said one of his boyz or bodyguard assaulted him, that's much more believable. Out of all the rappers out there Olamide is probably one of the most intelligent when it comes to maximizing the love of his fans and maintaining a coded lifestyle so tell me how he would suddenly assault a fan who was hailing him? In addition,Olamide na small guy, he rarely fights always calculating how to make more money,he ain't got time to fight, in fact back in the days na mouth e get,to fight he always ran away so this story is very suspicious!
