India a failure of a country just like Nigeria cannot be taken seriously! Buhari will only listen to heavyweight countries but unfortunately they all see shia as a terrorist sect. |
Osakah24:We have more touts roaming the streets of Lagos and Aba than the North so it's a universal problem not only keen to the Northern states; however, you are right about more illiterate youths in the North. It's important to note that the military did not put us in this condition, democracy did! With democracy we've seen unprecedented amount of funds looted. With democracy we have more government officials and more ministries which equals larger budgets and expenditures. With democracy we've seen the rise of different groups capable of destroying the country as they all see the central government as weak and corrupt. Don't get me wrong democracy is still the best form of governance if practiced properly but unfortunately here in Nigeria it is nothing but a showcase! |
dikeigbo2:Why do you always speak out of your anus? I know of many Nigerian firms that are fond of giving end of the year bonuses to their employees, at the same time I know of many American companies that does not give bonuses, so what exactly are you saying? You need help mehn! |
The religion in me: Disgusting! The realist in me: Why is the religion in me contradicting my religion? Thou shalt not judge yet I'm disgusted and angered by what I see! |
Islam has never been the problem rather its interpretation is the real culprit! It happens in Christianity too, so many denominations and each with its own doctrine. My viewpoint is this; there are hidden forces trying to destroy the religion in order to create chaos and the Islamic communities have been sleeping for far too long. For example let's look at Iraq: When Saddam was there the nation was united, rebels were crushed and the neighboring countries behaved themselves especially Iran. Saddam was eliminated and chaos broke loose! Now Iraq is a war zone, Afghanistan & Syria are catalysts for terrorism and the entire Middle-East is waiting to explode. The same thing can be said of Nigeria, when the military was in charge, Nigerian lives were much safer. Robberies were limited, rebels were crushed and religious conflicts were at the bear minimum. Fast forward to democracy and we have so many rebel groups out there from MEND to Boko Haram, when will the madness stop? When? |
As long as the protests are peaceful, I'm all for it. Sometimes we must protest in other for the government to take us seriously and this goes for everybody not just Biafrans! Whether you are Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa and so on; you must learn to fight for your rights in a peaceful manner. This is the beauty of democracy! |
Brooklynsouth:Buhari's only defense is that it was an entitlement based on being a past head of state, this is a credible defense! Dokpesi on the other hand is not entitled to such. Dokpesi however might be able to win his case if he can prove that it was authorized by the presidency for damages to his properties. Learn to analyze not just observe! |
Lionsclaw:I really hate when people type rubbish, does Dokpesi have the same defense as the president? The president was giving an entitlement and this entitlement was given to all past head of states according to the allegation, this automatically gives him a chance legally, Dokpesi and others accused cannot lay claim to the same defense. If however they can defend themselves in court, let them do it after all they are all innocent till proven guilty! |
jkendy:Tell me exactly how he knew the source? Let's stop being biased and reason like learned individuals. His convoy was attacked, it was replaced by the Government at that time since he was a past head of state and entitled to such. Until someone comes out and tell me that accepting such is against the law then it's all just nonsense! Dasuki on the other hand is guilty of diverting money meant for arms deal and deliberately jeopardizing the lives of our soldiers! |
Don't you just love it when people fabricate lies just to gain sympathy? The girl is in Dubai yet she is so sure about the amount of people that were killed, she even went as far as to say the number grew from 450 to 1000, such a well rounded number! Another thing, how can you speak to someone on phone with the person having been shot with no medical treatment? Are we dealing with Iron Man here or the Hulk? Surely this tragedy is overwhelming enough without the need for unnecessary lies and propaganda! |
There's a difference between statutory entitlements and straight up embezzlement! If the president received a bullet proof car and a specified amount of money from the arms deal then it must be returned otherwise he is just as guilty as the rest of them, if however he did not know that the money came from the arms deal and the same items were given to all past presidents then he's guilty of nothing! |
dikeigbo2:I know your kind you have no history, no mental equity and this greatly affects your sanity! Leave the discussion for people with higher intellect as this is far beyond your level of intelligence! |
susrite:It's one thing to fight the Government on issue of minimum wage and standard of living, it's another thing to try and equate income with electricity tariffs. The cost of producing electricity in Nigeria is high due to corruption of the past, it's a thing that can't be fixed immediately, you mention increasing civil servant's salary, what about employees in the private sector? Where do you want the government to get this money from? |
mikeapollo:Another ignorant Nairalander, the minimum wage in the U.S is not $10-$15 please do your research, it is less than $8. I'll keep saying it till you people get it into your thick skulls, income has nothing to do with electricity tariffs! You pay for what you use! If you bothered to read my post carefully, you would notice I mentioned government subsidy as a possible solution but in reality every advance country out there leaves electricity in the hands of private companies, these companies charge whatever they like and nobody can challenge it, it's either you pay and get electricity or you don't pay and live in darkness! |
susrite:Will you shut up! Your electricity bill is based on the amount you used and the time of the year, when I was living in a one bedroom apartment, I spent anywhere from $40 to $80, now that I'm in a 4 bedroom house, I spend anywhere from $140 to $ 250, so what the f*ck are you talking about? Furthermore what has income got to do with wanting stable electricity? When we have true privatization in this country, you will only pay for what you use! If someone makes 50,000 Naira per month and used electricity of 20,000 Naira that's his or her fault and not the electricity company or the Government. In any place in life you have to cut your coat according to your size, if we want 24/7 electricity we have to be prepared to spend more! |
In the States, people pay anywhere from $60 to $300 per month for electricity, if we want stable electricity in Nigeria we have to be ready to pay 10,000 to 50,000 Naira per month, unless the government is willing to subsidize. We would all like to blame the government for not providing stable electricity but how many people actually pay their electricity bills? Some people would even risk their lives by tapping current from the electricity pole or connecting wires all over their homes. The real solution here is to leave electricity out of the hands of the Government and put it in the hands of private companies, let them charge whatever price and let's have a healthy competition just like in advanced countries. This way anybody that wants electricity would sign up with those companies, pay a security deposit and then get a meter. When we give those companies full control instead of this pseudo privatization then our electricity situation will surely improve! |
Quite unfortunate, poverty + bad governance = high crime rate! But wait o, something doesn't look right. How did they recover the car? Or is that not the car used to commit the crime? Nigerian bloggers sha ![]() |
The mere fact that this is being done deserves a little praise, past governments completely neglected the youths. What most people don't realize is that it is not the government's job to provide jobs rather a good government must enable the environment where private firms are able to employ more people. This can be done by tax incentives, stable electricity and a safe environment. The government still has a long way to go towards reducing unemployment but let's give credit where credit is due! |
90% of guys out there masturbate now or before, so it's nothing new! However, there comes a point when you realize it's becoming excessive and that's what you've got. Your major issue is that all you seem to think about is sex. The best way to cure your addiction is to feed it, yea you heard me right, feed it man! Find yourself a girlfriend or two or even three; have as much sex as you can but always protect yourself those girls ain't smiling ![]() The more sex you have, the less time you would have to masturbate. Study shows that those with a very active sex life are 70% less to masturbate than those with a lonely, poor or non existent sex life. I remember back in the school days when most guys in my hall were busy watching porn, I was either camped with one girl or the other, never had time for porn cos I always had the real thing, hope you understand ![]() |
OlowoB:? Do you have proof that he is giving back? Or are you going to pretend that you don't know that Benue state is one of the poorest state in the nation. |
Look at the comments,I always knew most Nairalanders were ignorant but wow! Imagine statements like 'is it your money' or 'it's his money'! Most people rely on the government to get rid of poverty not knowing that little charity from celebrities and private companies can also be a solution. In advanced countries like the USA most famous celebrities give back to the community in many ways, I believe Tuface is one of the biggest stars in Nigeria, asking him to give back to his community is not too much. The only thing I would blame the OP for is blaming him for buying an expensive shoe! |
falopey:If you bothered to just search Google I'm sure you will find examples of terrorist who were Christians(Norwegian bomber,Hitler, KKK and so on). I'm not here to defend one book or the other, I'm just saying wrongful interpretation of religion has caused more deaths than any disease. If you bothered to study Christianity of the 12th and 13th century(Over 3 million deaths) and compare it to radicals in Islam, you'll see that the problem was not the religion itself but man's interpretation. Ask yourself How come you don't see any Yoruba Islamic terrorist, or a terrorist from UAE or Indonesia? Afterall all Muslims read the same Quran! If you are too ignorant to see that extremism exists in all religion then you are even dumber than I thought and should probably be discussing on a forum for kids not adults! If you are still thinking it only happens in Islam then look at the following links and tell me they are lying: http://www.alternet.org/tea-party-and-right/10-worst-terror-attacks-extreme-christians-and-far-right-white-men http://aattp.org/here-are-8-christian-terrorist-organizations-that-equal-isis/ http://www.ifyouonlynews.com/religion/christian-terror-12-examples-of-terrorism-from-the-right/ |
When you say Database Administrator you are being vague! I'm sure you didn't study that in school. Do you hold a bachelor's degree or a masters? Which product certification are you proficient in? Oracle 11g, Oracle 12c, ICCP, No SQL or Microsoft SQL? Are you fresh out of school or do you have some experience? In Nigeria you better be one of the best or be self-employed, the market is not friendly enough for an average Joe. Just so you know there are different Database specialized fields and Database Administration is one of the basic ones. Database Administrator (DBA): Responsible for installing, configuring and maintaining a database management system (DBMS). Often tied to a specific platform such as Oracle, MySQL, DB2, SQL Server and others. |
chisco82:And a rational person should be civilized! Don't type rubbish just to prove your point! By the way it's arrogance not arrogant ![]() |
I billion naira is a small amount compared to his wealth. I'm sure he's just trying to outsmart the mumu bank. Guy pay up, no let Skye Bank bankcrupt o ![]() |
KwoiZabo:It's a pity a fully grown person could sound so moronic! GEJ achievements in every sector of the economy? Someone give this guy a hot slap! |
chisco82:Well your point is ignorant, learn how to be civilized! |
chisco82:I don't think Seun or the other mods are as ignorant as you to want to ban someone for having a contrarian view. A lot of Nigerians are used to not speaking the truth in order not to get banned or criticized so I understand where you are coming from ![]() |
tefund:Seems to me you need glasses! |
Wealthyone:I laugh in Swahili! |
iamodenigbo1:No offense taken! |
