Nothing is special about Lagos yet people keep rushing in daily, na una talk say Lagos be no man's land so why are you now surprised that it is filled with all kinds of people including monsters? What does development have to do with human capacity to be wicked or evil? |

Sheggy13: So Osinbajo was the first to do this, or only Yorubas have done this for you to make betrayals a Yoruba thing. The people saying this nonsense about Yorubas who you're referencing are the ones cheering Peter Obi today not minding that same Obi swore never to leave APGA that gave him platform to become governor; but where is he today? How about the likes of Tambuwal, Okowa? Politics has always been a game of interest, intrigues, backstabbing, betrayals and realignment regardless of tribes or religion. So stop ethnic profiling like the other poster advised you. I don't care what the children of hate do or don't do, I only care about Yoruba people's reputation, we are known to backstab one another especially when we have agreed behind closed doors, I'm Yoruba true and true, I will not shy away from the truth. This reputation is no secret, I'm just surprised Osibanjo allowed himself to be used as a kryptonite against Tinubu. |

mamajaz: Yinmu for you. This is where I respect baba Adedibu of blessed memories. He was raising Kings and ruling the Kings and everything under them. He never for once wanted to become Governor. When he was even ready, he had to present a son of his. That's what Tinubu should have done and remain an enigma but nahhhh...the greed, arrogance and pride in him will not allow him to see the road. Forget that he brought Osinbajo to the limelight, he did his permutations well and knew the people would be happy to go with PYO. As if he himself has a moral and ethical standing. You're now talking morals. You're spewing jargon, Adedibu was uneducated and was not an ex Senator/Governor, his ambitions was strictly at the local level and never aspired for more. You're comparing him to Tinubu someone that has battled for elective position three times, you see say you don commit error? When I talked about morals, I'm talking about not biting the hands that fed you, I'm glad you used Adedibu as example because we all know how he brutally finished the career of a politician that dared to challenge him......Once again,, you see say you don mess up |

DaInferno: see what you are using Nigeria to do. As if its a toy or cloth to be used and passed down to younger ones, Where as in this case, to be passed on to the older ones, whos religion, source of wealth, educational background, age and others things are questionable or unknown. OSIBANJO saw the need to contest, change the status quo of the nonsense politics that's been played in a great nation. Wtf is emilokan?! Where in the world is that practiced in a "democratic" county?!
Osibanjo knew BAT must have had nothing to presentable for the country and decided to save it from the dilemma.
If you say yorubas can't be trusted, then why should tinubu be trusted?! You're confusing yourself, Osibanjo cannot eat his cake and have it! He is a product of godfatherism/corruption, if Tinubu was good enough to elevate him in Lagos and then at the national level then Tinubu deserves the respect/honor when it comes to an elective position. We are talking about internal politics here, same party, there are protocols, stop the sentimental crap! |

Osinbanjo contested because he knows emikolan is not fit to be President. He should be resting, taking care of his health and enjoying his old age. In Yorubaland we call that betrayal! I know this simple concept is hard to understand by people who disregard loyalty and integrity but if you are the product of godfatherism, you simply do not bite the hands that fed you! |

Racoon: When have Bola Tinubu started arrogating to himself the power to forgive sin? Meanwhile, have VP Osinbajo sinned against him by contesting the APC primary in a democratic setting? Read what he said, if God forgives, who is he not to forgive someone he took under his wings and brought to fame? Whether we like it or not, Osibanjo is a betrayer, you don't have to like Tinubu to understand this simple concept, legally Osibanjo did nothing wrong, ethically and morally he messed up, he singlehandedly proved why people say Yorubas cannot be trusted. |

baralatie: The doctor that perform the autopsy said and wrote he died as a result of the action of the police officer!na you know where you get different opinion? Yes that's correct, police brutality played a major part. The doctor also explained that no life threatening injuries were found and that he also had drugs in his system. You don't have to be a genius to realize what he's saying, I repeat a combination of police brutality and drugs led to the death of Floyd. |

baralatie: First correct yourself here USA Today www.usatoday.com Fact check: George Floyd autopsy ruled his death a homicide
It is this reckless state by Kanye that has made him an eyesore when it comes to black movement First of all, if you bothered to read the full autopsy you wouldn't be arguing here, try to get a full copy of the autopsy and then come back and tell me that I was wrong, it had nothing to do with the police brutality combined with the drugs in his system. I'll leave you with this to ponder: The autopsy did not find any "life-threatening" injuries in Floyd's neck near his head, spine, chest, brain or skull, however, the report identified blunt-force injuries to his face, shoulders, hands, arms and legs, a broken rib and bruises on the wrists from handcuffs. Someone that consumes a drug that is known to affect breathing all of a sudden had his airflow restricted what do you think would happen? |

Nosayer: This world is more hypocritical than what you're thinking though you're hypothetically correct.
It's one group trying to silence the other and for now, the minority (gays, transgenders etc and all those using them for politics) are winning.
Kanye is especially fighting those politicians and cooperations benefiting from the term "woke" culture while using those minorities as a means of enriching their pockets.
The politics in America is so thick and rough and for now, the liberals are having their way so much that you won't survive in their university system if you don't conform or stay silent.
By the way, Kanye is brilliant but I don't think he's completely sane upstairs. It has nothing to do with liberals or conservatives. In fact what Kanye said directly angers the conservatives more than liberals. Anybody that says anything against Jews and/or Israel is persona non grata. Kanye is mentally unstable but at the same time that's what gives him his brilliance, I just feel his delivery is terrible, he always comes off as rambling instead of being concise and smooth. |

The problem is not what he said because it is 90% true, the problem is that this truth is used to galvanize hate groups who are bent on destroying Jews, blacks and other minorities. In a country still trying to silence its racist background, such truths are dangerous and catastrophic. I'm surprised the FBI has not invited him for questioning, the money he loses won't matter much because his earnings are mostly on auto pilot right now, unless the feds freezes his assets, man cannot go broke anytime soon. |

jackcanfield: LoL there is no doubt the IGR of Lagos has been increasing on a regular, I doubt if any Governor of Lagos State is deeping hand into public funds because of the vast opportunities the Lagos State Government is creating of which our Oga in Burdillion is a major beneficiary and stakeholder. But what we are saying here is not IGR but been able to allocate money to local governments and be discipline enough to stop interference of such funds by State Government. I don't think that is happening even in states the King of Burdillion has overwhelming influence. As for the Chop I Chop thing ,well if you are in his inner circle you no get wahala, you are in for astronomical rise, but if you are outside the circle na to dey look like spectator till they invite you in. Did you read what I wrote or you were just so quick to offer a rebuttal? Ask yourself what was the motive behind the increase in LGA's in Lagos? Remember everything comes from federal so the more LGAs more money. It's not perfect but it is an example of the kind of innovation we can expect from him, he ain't no saint and he'll definitely chop his own but I can bet anything the country won't be so tight and bottled up like we are seeing under Buhari. |

jackcanfield: Me I don't like pretense ..... In law their is something called precedence, so you really don't have any precedence to show you would do this . There's no greater precedence than Lagos itself, no matter how much anyone hates Tinubu, we cannot deny the fact that he knows how to open up the economy, either for his own selfish interest or the interest of his supporters, the koko be say his motto is chop make I chop. Local governments were split into two or three to generate more funds, more development and most importantly increase accountability. Lagos IGR grew over 7000% since 1999, the next closest state can't even boast of 800%, no be juju be that? |
