I'm loving this, the more the noise the more devastating the failure. One question to those licking sugar, what happens when Obi loses? Is it back to agitation for Biafra or do y'all hop on Atiku's prick? E NI WO TAN ![]()
|
AlanSugar:Again no be you go dictate person wey people go vote for, abi na you dey feed am?.....I CAN'T SHOUT! |
AlanSugar:You don't have to like it but you shall tolerate it! The right to vote for any candidate is the right given to any Nigerian, even if that choice does not resonate with you! |
Grandmeister:Keep quiet, did he claim any superiority? He only stated the obvious especially pertaining to Nigeria. Religious and often tribal sentiments have shifted our focus from logic to emotional bullshit! The average Christian or Muslim in Nigeria is more receptable of their pastors or Imam than a doctor or lawyer. Even when we can see that the sky is darkening and thunder roaring, if our clerics tell us it won't rain, we would believe it. A sick nation ruled by sentiments and religious schisms! |
These bet shops need to be regulated, how do you bet more than you have? How do you accept bets without collecting money first? Are there any limits to the amount of wagers in a day? A woman brought her kid to a bet shop, no regulation that prevents underage people in such a place? Nigeria wants to enjoy the good things like the big boys but won't put in place controls/measures like the big boys.....SHAME! |
Helpout12345:The most credible sources I have are confidential or requires subscription(LexisNexis, FBI database, Justia) due to the nature of my work(auditing), if you are willing to spend money on subscription to statista.com, you can also find more stats there but a simple search online shows that only about 5% of divorce cases in the USA actually involves a prenup https://helloprenup.com/prenuptial-agreements/prenups-are-the-new-life-insurance/ Here's another interesting writeup that shows the history of prenup cases in Georgia where I reside, if you have time go through the cases, you'll be amazed at how important it is to have a competent lawyer. https://www.hhfamilylaw.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/CLE-Evolution-of-Prenups-.pdf |
Helpout12345:Everybody knows that it can be contested that was never my argument, he is saying all prenups are useless because the judge will side with the woman for any reason which is a comical way of reasoning. A competent lawyer makes sure all the conditions of the prenups satisfies the legal requirement and beyond. |
Kelechi009:Go back and read my comments, I said there's no way a judge can deny a prenup prepared by a competent lawyer, keyword is competent. In your rush to critique you missed that keyword, part of being competent is operating from a position that your client is the one with the burden of proof. A competent lawyer not only insists that the female also has a lawyer but there must be witnesses and a notary. A competent lawyer advises his client not to get a prenup so close to the wedding but to do so with at least 2-3 months before to remove the presumption of duress. Your initial comment specifically stated duress: A prenup will be 100% thrown out in the state of California if the woman claims that she signed it on duress. A prenup is a waste of time in many ways because it is almost impossible to convince your GF to sign the prenup. When talking about duress(coercion), I am well confident when I say less than 10% of all prenup related divorce cases in the USA are thrown out by a judge for duress, in fact those cases also involved outright illegal activities such as bullying, fraud etc, if this is your evidence that all prenups are a waste of time then you're a joker! Finally, my argument was never about the dismissal of a prenup but one created by a competent lawyer, there's a big big difference, yes we have exceptions but stop acting like those exceptions invalidates the remaining cases, that's a bullshit argument and you know it! |
Helpout12345:Come on you're better than this, stop being vague, show me the percentage of prenups that were prepared by a lawyer, signed in good faith with witnesses and a notary and were later on invalidated by a judge or jury. If it is more than 10% of all cases over the past 50 years in the USA, I'll personally deposit $100 or 70k Naira into an account of your choice, come on I dare you! |
Kelechi009:You're spewing nonsense, I prefer to believe my colleagues over here than you, continue arguing with your phone.....PEACE! |
Kelechi009:Claiming duress is different than proving duress, this is why a competent lawyer must draft the prenup, it must be signed by witnesses, be factual, fair and notarized. If all these things are present, the success rate of invalidating a prenup is lower than 10%, I challenge you to prove otherwise, this is not an argument, this is a fact based on experience and being conversant with the legal landscape in the USA, you don't have to agree ![]() |
t2luv1:Not S corp, C corp! We are talking about two different things, even with multiple member LLC, you must instruct the IRS you want to be treated as a corp for tax purposes but with C corp, nothing ties back to your personal tax hence no divorce can affect you. |
Kelechi009:Are we talking about legally or are we considering sentiments? A prenup properly written by a competent lawyers, signed in front of witnesses and a notary will never be thrown out, California or not! You can't claim duress if the prenup was signed at least 2 months before the wedding and done in good faith. Your idea of cohabitation is also rubbish because if no women like to sign a prenup guess what they hate more? Lack of marital commitment! |
t2luv1:No LLCs are a no no, the IRS can still consider it as a nonentity if it is owned by an individual. A C corp is needed, it gives the most protection especially when you have a board. |
t2luv1:This is why I advise most men with some form of wealth to put almost everything under their incorporated business and make sure the wife is not a signatory to the business. The business assets are protected from any litigation that comes from divorce, even the house can be under company's name. |
Vulcanheph:First of all it is not 'most', the correct qualifier is 'some'! Next, why aren't men being sensible by having a prenup? A prenup 99% of the time solves the issue you brought up, the vast majority of divorce in the USA happens due to infidelity and statistically men get caught more then women when it comes to cheating hence the reason why the law is skewed the way it is! |
seanwilliam:Yea that's why Nigeria is so backwards when it comes to women suffering. Abroad created those laws because women whether they like it or not are more vulnerable than men in society but I think women are starting to abuse those laws now. |
CheapHomes1:If there's no prenup, he gets 50% of her assets, if there's a prenup he gets 50% of what they've built together while married. |
seanwilliam:While most men make most of the financial assets, the raising of children, keeping the household clean etc are part of the emotional investment in any marriage for most women. For a man to throw away a woman after all the years of emotionally investing in such partnership is an injustice. The court views marriages as partnership, both partners have equal shares in the partnership and when the business is being sold/liquidated, the proceeds must be split. |
Vulcanheph:It's the reason why many men misbehave in Nigeria. The divorce settlement is not men settling women but the household assets divided between the two people who contributed to it over the years either physically or emotionally. Furthermore, who told you divorce rate is low in Nigeria? Maybe you believe only those who go to court are actually divorced, in 9ja many women are still married legally but are living separately from their husbands and never going back, in fact them don born for another man ![]() |
ZombieSlayer1:The key is knowing the right mixture of pap, cold water and hot water. |
ZombieSlayer1:Over 500 pap made so far in life, never been disgraced, some of us grew up with iya agba so we are ibile to the core ![]() |
CaseSensitive:Yea that's why so many people are skeptical. We can't seem to distinguish between naturally occurring climate change and that caused by human pollution and excesses. If we don't know the problem how can we be sure of the solution? It's a much more bigger and intense discussion but I'm glad to read your viewpoint.....thanks! |
Make una stop this nonsense, no such thing as pap will disgrace you, na you no get proper OT. If you no get confidence, get measuring spoon and cups, know that there's a science behind this, know the right amount of papa, cold water and hot water to use, no come dey act drama for here!
|
CaseSensitive:So to be clear are you saying this is man made climate change or natural climate change? The problem we are having now is doomsayers not being able to differentiate between the former and the latter. Since 1851, hurricanes have been recorded in terms of strength and we have had several greater than Ian. Labor Day hurricane of 1935, Camille in 1969 and Hurricane Andrews in 1992 were far more devastating and all came through Florida, so what portion of blame goes towards man made climate change and what portion goes towards naturally occurring climate change? |
NezzyMike:Na your papa tell you that or you don see his birth certificate? Why stop at Buhari, you suppose say he's older than Obasanjo make thunder fire your left ball ![]() |
Flamemignon1:I'm not sure you read the sources thoroughly but the central premise is that there's no gay gene but a bunch of genetic factors that influences SEXUALITY. The vast majority believe the genetic makeup of an individual influences whether they are heterosexual, homosexual or bi. Sexual behavior is just about how someone chooses to express their sexuality but sexuality in itself is how a person sees him or herself which is what majority of the sources were alluding to. |
VTJN:In life everything should be viewed within context or parameters. Since I'm the one describing my situation, personally I cannot use references which I do not have hence the reason I used the qualifier "my" , it could be my boy, my daughter, my child.... Nothing wrong with any of these.....PEACE! |
NezzyMike:Na you wan kill am......Werey! Buhari wey una kill since 2016 still dey frustrate una, mumu ![]() |
I this I that as if na only him go dey run government. Politicians are same everywhere, so damn generic and broad. We want specifics, what will you do exactly to stop banditry? Talk is cheap but can you stand up to the Northern cabals who we all know sponsors majority of these terrorist activities? Words can be sweet, anybody can say what you want to hear but it takes a real master to say what you need to hear! Unless Obi is willing to call out the sponsors within government and politics, it will all end in premium tears. Person wey get experience with them sef, dem don turn am to vegetable not to talk of a baby politician in national politics, abeg yarn us another tori ![]() |
Flamemignon1:You can't just make a claim without providing a credible source, disclaimed by whom? I think you've got backwards, prior to the mid 1990s it was believed environmental factors had more influence in shaping sexual orientation but from 1998 upwards, most of the researches have now linked genetics as the major influence. Again I'm not saying this is right or wrong, I'm just letting you know the results of recent research into the topic. My number one concern is how old are the kids? As a father, I can't imagine not speaking to my boy for a week not to talk of months, so what gives? If your kids are old enough to talk, this age of technology they can send voice notes, MMS, recorded videos etc, expressing how much they miss daddy. Sometimes the best way to apologize is to do so through the eyes of innocence. If your kids are still toddlers and unable to speak, then you can still record videos and direct the narrative, apologize and even pray for him. The vast majority of fathers out there can hold a grudge against their wives but find it very difficult to ignore their children. My advice to you is to forget about your external family issues and focus on your own issues. 9 weeks of not talking, for wetin? |
