I asked a simple question and u are still deviating. A car that is on 80k/h can it still enter gear 1 in the absence of brake? Apelex: When your dont know somthing. You learn
Its called engine breaking. It's your best bet when you gave a failed break. The car can only run on low speeds in low Gears. |

See them So a car that is on 80k/h can still be put to gear 1? Teachers don't teach me nonsense nurey: So you are doing 80km/h and see traffic ahead and you press the brake to slow down and see it isn't working and you expect someone to remember all these.
safety maneuver is an involuntary action, the best bet that any driver in such distress should have in mind is "Engine breaking"
for manual transmission, switch to gear one straight and lightly the depress the accelerator and the car would decelerate instantly.
For automatic move your gear lever down to 1 or L or lowest gear depending on vehicle make and deceleration would occur.
please never switch to N or off Engine, as downward decent in N would make car go faster or level ground would not slow Engine down as for switching off Engine, you loose steering wheel feel nah crash be that ooo |

Bros your father has chosen for him self and his entire family including you. If you are comfortable with it kindly discuss with your family. I have also seen families where a son separates from his father due to opinion. By the way if you must know the truth Osu is a and non osu is like two different parties and it is in every nations of the world. Your father knows more than you Maybe you people have already no I ed the osu party long time without you knowledge and that is why your father have ur sister his blessing just to make it clear to people like you who did not know before now. TheSkyIsBlue: My Sister Is About To Commit A Serious Taboo All In The Name Of Marriage
Hello Nairalanders!
Please ignore any typographical or grammatical error. I just want to pour it out the way it is in my heart.
I am seriously confused and worried about what is happening in my family and I will appreciate your candid advice.
There is this guy my sister has been in a relationship with for over seven years now. so he actually asked her hand in marriage and decided to come see my parents for introduction, about some months ago. My family decided to take their time to find out more about the guys family background as is required in Igbo tradition.
After several questions asked, my family came to find out that the guy is an Osu (an outcast). On knowing this, everybody in my family told my sister to cut ties with him and discontinue the relationship because it is a big taboo to get married to an Osu in my place . If you do, no family member or friend will attend your wedding or even have anything to do with you again.
But my sister refused to listen to anybody claiming she really loves the guy, that they have been together for a very long time and that she is not getting younger anymore (mind you, she is in her early thirties). Everybody (my parents and extended family members) tried to talk her out of it but she still didn't listen.
After much pressure and her continues insistence, my dad decided to give them his blessings, although against his wish (my dad is actually not really deep into tradition). Now the guy has done all the traditional rights and paid for her dowry. Their wedding is coming up soon.
But the problem now is, according to tradition and from what I heard, if she was allowed to go with the guy without my dad giving them his blessings, the stigma would have just been on her and she alone would have been considered Osu, since she insisted to continue with the marriage. But now that my dad has given them his blessings, it is considered that all of us (her siblings) will also have that link of Osu too. Except if she decide to put an end to the relationship and discontinue with the wedding, which I don't think my sister is ready to do.
I am really worried and depressed about it, cause I don't want anything that will affect me tomorrow when I want to get married just because of my sister's mistakes.
I will really like to get opinions and sincere advice especially from those that are familiar with tradition, cause I'm seriously bothered. Thanks! |

That is it. Your mum and family will not accept her as you say. Why not distance your self from her now cox she is just saying those things cox of you and u know it. Wht do u mean she said she is not in a hurry to marry but she is maybe 27 or above If she is ur sister at that age and said that she is not in a hurry to marry, will you be happy with her? When you know that men in Nigeria don't usually like to take ladies above 30 for marriage Listen my friend I know you find her as easy sex partner and that is all. As time goes on since you are not ready to marry now, you will eventually see that she is too old for you considering there are many younger girls available. This is how a person invites evil into his life "To be forewarned is to be foreharm" as the saying goes Just start keeping ur distance now! vincentjk: I've no problem with her being older than me nor the tribe difference. The problem is my mum and family
Btw she told me she isn't in a hurry to marry else I wouldn't be considering this at all |

vincentjk: Yea i think just two. she's older than me and she's also from a different tribe which I won't know how to start explaining to my people, like they won't even understand what I'm saying. Oga leave that lady to find her life partner now she can We all know that you will not marry her You already started talking about tribe and being ashamed of the age gap Respect it self now. Imagine she is it sister and a random I love u boy is forming I don't mind marrying her cox we know each other You are not even ready to marry now but you still want to deceive her |

This is exactly what this post is all about It is clear you are under 33 And if this is the case, can you please Go find ur mates For the fact that you can insult people here does not make you wise but rather makes you more stupid or simply more childish By the way Age is very important for marriage. Taking Nigeria as a case study, 90% of marriages with problems in Nigeria cement this fact. Yes there are exceptions but that is usually rear. Secondly I also think it is advisable for a man of 33 and up who is looking for a life partner to also consider the lady's age too cox women of 26 and up are better too for marriage as they are already thinking of settling and to build their own family unlike ladies of 25 down who still have to hustle to help their families. So, my point is that the most contribution of problems in marriages in Nigeria is FAMILY cox it is almost like a culture now in Nigeria for families to subject their children into one form of pressure or another and this is both to the males and females alike But I also observed that many people get matured with age and then can be able to ignore that family pressures or learn the best way to handle them. So, to me, marriage is best for 30 and up for men and 26 and up for women When I was under 30 I thought it would be hard to marry ur choice lady after 33 but now am near 33, I saw that women get more attracted to guys of 31 up. Even little girls below 20 will easily fall for this age bracket of men and two, money is better managed by a man of this age too. Not necessarily having too much but knowing better. This does not mean that couples of this age bracket do not cheat but it is Better done and better managed unlike couples of 20s Another thing to note here that money as people of 20s usually think is the key to stable marriage is actually not true cox no body on earth has gotten enough when it comes to money including bill gate but rather money management is the key. There are things that a man in his 20s will usually spend money for while a man in his 30s will ignore it and save that same money and even for the same purpose he will still get value in that despite avoiding the expenses. Now you know what they mean by the popular saying " A FOOL AT 40 IS A FOOL FOR EVER" lilwetdick: how is this a stupid question, i dont know how you guys think, everything is to show your aggressiveness and frustration instead of answering the question..maturity could mean different things to different women, write down your own view instead of the nonsense you typed.
simple question that requires simple answer, i dont understand how this is stupid. god damnit. |

You can just chutup gidgiddy: Somebody should tell the Monarch that according to the Federal Government of Nigeria, an unarmed organisation like IPOB who killed nobody is a terrorist organisation
But an armed group like the killer herdsmen who slaughter thousands of Nigerians each year with their AK 47, are not terrorists, and deserve Ruga settlements
So because the Federal Government does not know what terrorism is, it is not safe for Kanu to go to a country that doesn't know what terrorism is |
