Originalsly:We don’t have the plans yet they are set for delivery and the current air bases we have are not equipped enough to hold or account for these new fighter jets, so we need to make a new one that has the capacity to handle it. Nigerians are already in training to learn how to use it. |
This article may be true, but the information and evidence displayed is very convincing. What really happened 4000 years ago in Nigeria, igboland to be precise. |
Furnace found in the area.

The ones found in nsude are significantly larger and more structured then the ones at lejja, could a generation of iron smelters from lejja have moved up to nsude, becuase of its proximity to the raw material needed for iron, I think that the answer is yes, yet westerns archaeologists believe it was used to worship ala, I seriously doubt that. Because if you look at the whole area, you’l find that lejja is not the sole iron smelting site in the area, there are several others, showing evidence of an advanced and United iron smelting society, infact the first one in the whole world. But now the question arises, what did they use the iron for and where did they live, is there any evidence of houses, buildings, artefacts etc dated as far back as that, and for now, the answer is no. But maybe we’ll find something sooner or alter to give us more information on the ancient igbos or whatever ethnicity they were at the time.
|
The lejja iron smelting site has been dated circa 2000BC, making it one of the oldest ones in the world, an ancient iron smelting site in Nigeria. Which ancient society or empire could be located here that created such advanced technology, going by iron reserves the closest ones to lejja were found in nsude which just happens to be the location of the pyramids which is weirdly similar to the pyramid found in lejja,
|
Now compare these two
|
Next we’re looking at igbo land where the earliest iron smelting site was found in lejja in present day Enugu site, this is likely where the ancestors of the blacksmiths that created the Benin bronzes and ife artefacts started off, to learn the skills of the trade, but if you look at th iron smelting site you’ll find a triangular or cone like structure surrounded by the iron slag, smaller but still similar to the nsude pyramids, now allegedly lost.

The first sculpture seems to show three different people at the top likely royals or nobles who are watching over the work of the commoners, who are smaller and at the bottom, it looks like the commoners are holding a tool of some sort, so there could be the potential that, that this sculpture was made to show the making of the Nok sculptures or to show the social hierarchy at the time. Or even potentially showing how the royals and nobles modeled for their sculptures to be made by the artists. It is all very interesting, and gives us an idea into the customs and ways of the early nigerian. |
The lines found all around the sculptures are likely the beads that the royals or nobles would have worn and this is found present in most of the other Nigerian empires established after the Nok, which means there might be a possibility of a link between the Nok culture and ife, Benin, nri and the Hausa City states.
|
The thread is made to showcase all historical evidence of life in Nigeria from the Nok, to Benin to ife to nri, this thread is for all Nigerians to come together and Leicester together Nigeria’s history, hopefully we’ll all be able to learn something about the history of other people in Nigeria, I’ll get the thread started off. Nok terra-cotta sculptures: circa 1500BC - 500AD, first found in 1928 in Kaduna state, Nigeria, they are thought to depict important people in the society at the time, distinct features on them are the ovular eyes and intricate hairstyles.

Found this on google earth, need physical confirmation of if it is the nsude pyramids, possible ancient town in the environs as well.
|
Originalsly:Possibly, if only we could get the government’s attention or at least someone to start digging up the land, who knows what could be discovered there. |
Yujin:Yes I’m from aboh through my father, but I school in the UK. I have always been interested and fascinated in Nigeria and Africa as a whole, and I have found that you learn the most about people through their past, so I have been trying to piece together the past of Nigeria, when I heard of the pyramids I said why don’t I try and do something to help with the search, I’m still trying to find new ways to help find new things about Nigeria, and nairaland has helped me to learn a lot about Nigeria and it’s history. |
RuudVanNisteroy:Actually the first two good leaders of Nigeria were very good, the leadership of Tafawa Balewa and Azikiwe was exceptional as well as awolowo and others, their leadership was amazing and Nigeria was doing very well up until the 80s, before then Nigeria was a very good country. |
Nigeria produces 13 000MW, the 5000 peak was how much the transmission infrastructure could Handel as a peak not power generation, stop with the fake news but it is still poor that our number is so close to theirs, |
SUFFERInSMILIIN:This is The greatest lie ever in history. Nigeria is nowhere near as bad as Zimbabwe your hate for Nigeria will consume you, I don’t understand why you hate the country so bad. But alas your stupidity is funny and enjoyable. |
theenchanter:In terms of living standard follow the conversation. |
SUFFERInSMILIIN:Norway is better get your facts right. China is at least 10-100 times poorer than Norway, I dint see what point your trying to make. |
afube:The plans were to open ports in Bonny island and Warri, IPOB didn’t do anything to make them plan this. It is just basic knowledge. Amaechi planned it out, I don’t know why you think IPOB has done anything at all, cause they haven’t. Besides onne is in SS not SE, it’s not ugbolsnd so stop claiming other people’s land. This is the same way someone else claimed that abo in delta was part of igbo land. Stop it, we are one country, 9ne nation, IPOB supporters are idiots and they can’t do anything to Nigeria. |
afube:100 ports is foolish, even countries like US don’t need up to 100 ports. For Nigeria 10-15 ports maximum should serve us just fine. |
fashrola:We need seaports, not river ports, seaports are better, they should leave Calabar port and turn it 8nt9 a ferry terminal, and build an actual port on the coastline. |
Why do,people think that creating more ports will destroy Lagos. Lagos is building a free trade zone along with a refinery and ultimately it is still the financial and commercial hub of the nation. Unless another state puts up infrastructure at par to lagos’s then no company will move their headquarters there, that’s not how business works, sadly. This is good news I’ve been waiting for this as well, seeing that onne port is currently being expanded to handle more vessels and cargo. First pic is onne when completed, second pic is progress on Lekki port. All from skyscrapercity. I’ll update those threads as often as I can.

Awol1:We owe them 3 billion dollars and we make more than 35 billion dollars per year. |
SuperSixSeven:I’m not paid by anyone and why would I, the fact that you don’t see who’s working behind the scenes in the demise and holding back of Africa is sad and honestly disgraceful. |
SUFFERInSMILIIN:Your family must be really poor, maybe you should have sent them the money you used on sao paolo on them. Please feed them, that’s unfortunate |
Shma:The first image doesn’t represent the population of people who own houses it represents the percentage of people and how they pay for the house they live it’s not a population compared to housing metric. |
ArcSEMPECJ:Of course it does but in the U.K the first modern rail line they built was london-Birmingham because those are the two largest cities and would create the most money, it is a step by step process. |
jln115:D.R.C is already in turmoil look at all the rebels and they just happen to be in the area with the mot resources, countries cons just swoop in and take what they want whenever they want. Have you never seen the artificial runways, planes filled with cobalt, diamonds and gold then flown away, why do Belgium, France and the U.S have their own airports in Congo, to ferry out the resources easy as that, and how do you make it easier for you to get the resources, very simply by creating a diversion like rebels, distracting people from it. In the case of Nigeria, in 2014-2016 when both Jonathan and buhari said Boko Haram had almost been defeated why did America then move to establish multiple drone bases in the area, apparently for security reasons, but very soon after they were established, Boko Haram seemed to have gotten new guns, more ammo etc. and they were able to attack again whereas before they were established they were weakened, surrendering and didn’t even attack. Where did they get all these new guns, weapons and ammo, it can’t be a coincidence that all this happened at a similar time. Then again this year when the army went on a massive offensive and we were gaining territory and getting close to winning, what happens out of nowhere, some people called bandits started to appear in the northwestern part of Nigeria. Fully armed with guns, but where are all these people getting their guns from, certainly not from Nigeria, can it be a coincidence that every single time we’re getting somewhere with Boko Haram, another problem arises or they become stronger. It just doesn’t add up, and NGOs are very clearly against Nigeria, they are always attacking the government even though the government is trying to fight Boko harms trying to create a rift between the people and the government, trying to divide the country, and now their newest tactic is the Christian genocide story. Whereas everyone is getting killed not just Christians there were multiple mosque and church bombings. Yet these NGOs like amnesty keep lambasting the government over what they call a “Christian genocide” to try and divide the northern and southern parts of the country. If this does work Nigeria will be a much weaker country and will not be able to battle against France’s influence in Africa, and it will make it easier for Chad to try and take over the lake Chad islands and claim the massive oil reserves in that area for themselves. So yes they do want Nigerian oil, and they have their own tactics of doing these things, in the case of Kenya, I’m not sure and if the case of Somalia, they have already been in that country and who knows what they took or didn’t take whilst they were there combating “terrorism” which they likely sponsored at the start. |
