PoliticsRe: Update on developments in Anambra state-photos by Abohboy: 4:20pm On Dec 19, 2020
Rocksvibes234:
Trade and Commerce are integral parts of Ndigbo especially Ndi Anambra. Ndigbo survived the scourge of the Nigerian Civil War, developed their home states and other parts of the country where they live through trade and commerce.

Conscious of this therefore, Governor Willie Obiano's administration is taking giant steps in terms of policy articulation and partnership to develop a 21st century ultra modern market in the state.

The latest of this partnership is a 10 000 capacity Awka Capital Territory Ultra Modern Market Isiagu, Awka South Local Government Area. The partnership is between the state government and JC Micheals Nigeria LTD.

During the site inspection yesterday, Governor Willie Obiano represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Solo Chukwulobelu expressed happiness that Ndi Anambra are gradually thinking home.

Governor Obiano said, "It is the duty of the government to provide enablers for investments to thrive and my administration is doing that. Our resolve in the security of lives and property is paying off hugely today".

"However, locating this market here is in line with Anambra Vision 2070 which is trying to diminish the culture of building markets on the streets or within the residential areas. This project will also open up this area and decongest the capital city which is already getting over populated".

In conclusion, Governor Obiano thanked Keystone Bank for coming through with the financing of the project.

arlier in his opening remark, the developer, Chief Jude Agbuzie thanked Governor Obiano for his visions in putting Anambra on the map of progress. According to him the Market will comprise 10 000 lock up shops; a hospital, fire service centre, entrepreneurship development Hub amongst others.

Chief Agbuzie assured that by second quarter of 2021, a total of four thousand six hundred lock up shops must have been completed and ready for use.

On his part Mr Anayo Nwosu who represented MD/CEO of Keystone Bank, Mr. Olaniran Olayinka said that the bank is ready to finance the project fully and thanked the state government for the opportunity as this is their first business since the creation of the state .

The Traditional Ruler of Isiagu , Igwe Austin Nwankwo, thanked the state government ,the developer and keystone bank for siting the project in their town and promised full support of his community Isiagu.

Hon. Uchenna Okafor Wiper, the Honourable Commissioner for Trade and Commerce while thanking Governor Willie Obiano for his efforts at decongesting the Awka city appealed to the developer to deliver the project in record time.

Dignitaries at the occasion include: Mr Primus Odili (Chief of Staff to the Governor), Arc. Micheal .M. Okonkwo (Commissioner for Housing), Ven. Barr. Amaechi Okwuosa (MD/CEO. Awka Capital Territory Development Authority). Emmanuel Ntomchukwu (Regional Head, South East Keystone Bank), Comrade Louis Nwankwo (PG Isiagu Community) among others.
That’s a lot more than a market, that’s a whole mall, if it can actually handle 10 000 shops the. Anambra would hold the largest mall in west Africa and possibly the whole of Africa, hopefully it is completed in due time.

A currency does not need to be digital for cross country payment to be possible.

Countries just need to collaborate to make cross border payment possible without vehicles such as MasterCard and VISA
I’m not saying it has to be, but if it is then the currency will be more efficient and make transactions easier for the populace.

Lagos, Nigeria (CNN)Disney, is joining forces with a Nigerian production and distribution company to market some of the American entertainment conglomerate's new releases such as "Mulan" in the English-speaking region of Africa.

The deal makes FilmOne Entertainment the sole distributors of Disney-owned films in the region
"It is a major career highlight, that we're able to get the world's biggest movie studio as a partner," Moses Babatope, a director at FilmOne, told CNN.

Can you please post about Nigeria being the second largest country in the world in terms of Bitcoin transfers, ahead of Kenya, UK, South Africa, Ghana and even China. Bitcoin market is set to expand significantly and it is likely in the next ten years, most transactions in Nigeria will be digital, the government should hasten the development of the ECO currency, make sure France isn’t involved in the currency in anyway, and they should make sure that the currency can be digital, meaning you can use your phone or device to pay for any and everything.

It is time to demolish all borders in West Africa, even the Europeans who set them up for us have demolished most of theirs with only weird line markings left grin grin
That just isn’t true, from England to France you have to go through two toll gates, from France to spain there is another toll gste, I have gone through both of them, the major routes have border posts, it is only in some minor towns where there is no fence or border post same applies to west African borders, you can easily crossover into either nation.

The Ghana Immigration service is the most efficient with the best facilities at it border and is followed closely by Togo.

The Nigerian Benin border is the most chaotic and irregular border you will ever use on this route.

Your country kenya is only now trying to put up better border facilities.
wink

Again you are new to the game of better services

Austine 's house is better than what you live in, if I'm not mistaken
I can’t post pictures but the new seme border post is very efficient and it looks very good.

So where are you getting your ancient Nigeria from?
He means people that lived in the area that is considered ancient Nigeria, like the Hausa, Fulani, yoruba, edo, igbo etc. He even detailed it earlier in the thread if you bothered to read through it, just because it isn’t have the same name doesn’t mean that it couldn’t have existed.

Eko Atlantic being developed by Tinubu's business partner Chaugory when completed will rival these two cities.
For the price of development in Eko Atlantic, anything of the same scale in every single state in Nigeria is currently impossible. We can have some aspects of it, those aspects being the roads, sewage system, street lights and electricity if all of those were provided across all states in Nigeria we would be fine, we should be concentrating on improving standard of living st the moment, not trying to build 35 more Eko Atlantic’s

I’m just going off the data you’ve put down, India has 101m people living in slums and Nigeria has 79m people living in poverty, so India has more poor people than Nigeria as of 2020

Once again you have dug yourself a whole, you’ve been claiming that Nigeria is the poverty capital of the world right? Yesterday you said there were 79m Nigerians living in poverty, but now we see there are 101m Indians living in slums and if your living in a slum youmaremin poverty, meaning that India is the poverty capital of the world and not Nigeria based off of the data you have been publishing.

I don't argue with people from poverty capital of the world.
Notice how the figures were 100 million four years ago and it’s gone down to 79 million, it’s progress it’s going down very quickly just watch , covid has slowed things down but the textile, mining, steel, aluminium and petroleum products industry being revived will save the Nigerian economy, after 2023 a completely new party is likely to take other party, and hopefully there’ll be less corruption and more development of industries. But ultimately Nigeria is on the rise and with the NESP in place, post covid recovery will be easy.

After several years of independence, Nigeria is still technologically backward.

Compare our home made rocket with Ethiopians as I live you with your
thoughts...
Ethiopia didn’t even make that rocket stop spreading news, they built the satellite that is within that rocket, the actual owner of the rocket is either China or Russia. Nigeria has done the exact same infact we did it before them. Go and search Nigeria edu-sat 1. Then go and fine where that so called Ethiopian indigenous rocket was built, they have no capacity for that, no country in Africa does. We have the capacity to build satellites but not to build rockets. As for your information Nigeria is one of the leading countries in Africa in terms of space exploration and development, Ethiopia doesn’t compare to Nigeria in those factors.

Good poinnt...

So, where are your political structutres?

How would you pass a law to ban old people from competing again?

Who is your leader, what is your ideology?

And by the way , who made you spokesman for the youth? Were you elected?

How do you plan to enlighten the North, and the rural areas of the South to follow you?

Go and do the hard work of building up a structure that can make PDP and APC shake..., then we can talk.

Remember the Egyptian youth. Got mubarak out, and then ended up with his younger brother from another mother four years later. And the younger brother is worse.
Ban old people? That is dumb so when we grow up, if I was a good leader let’s say I created millions of jobs, and made Nigeria a developed country, 20-40 years later I want to be Vice President or governor etc, because i, now old I cannot fun again even though I am a good candidate it doesn’t make sense, does it. We do these things by who is the best not by age
