You are making your judgment based on your encounter with vet students in school forgetting that most students always try to put up the impression that they are studying the best course while in school. Reality always hit them in the labor market though. Meanwhile, as I type this my friend who is a vet doctor is in Enugu hustling on feet for a Pharmacist in his distribution company.

Some people would have everything they need but won't know how to use them. That is life for you.

What am saying is that vet.med isn't a bad course as people generally perceived.

My love and value for pharmacy is top notch, even when I spent four years sitting at home as I'm not regretting studying it in the north. It's an interesting course which I will never compromise with vet. medicine.

Initially, I wanted to ignore your post but when I realized that you claimed to be a veterinary student, I had to pause and give a response in order for you not to mislead innocent people reading your post and assuming it to be correct and authentic because it is been posted by a vet student. For the sake of clarity, I'll itemize the issues one by one.
Firstly as a vet student you claimed to be, it is not fair to unjustly lambast a field you voluntarily chose to study thereby giving false impression to innocent people about the profession, my brother you never can know who is who that may be reading this post and may be influential (present/future), whose decision may be antagonistic to the profession simply based on your post he read "after all wetin vets dey do sef no be to treat dog".
Secondly, you claim its only dogs Nigerians treat and to be honest that made me doubt if trully you are a vet student because throughout my stay in vet school I hardly came across dog/cats except during practicals. If vets only treat dogs, why then do they study ruminant medicine and surgery, small animal medicine and surgery, swine medicine, avian pathology and medicine, wildlife medicine and even fish pathology and medicine, take note you must go for clinical postings for all the aforementioned, if these animals don't need treatment then what is the point studying the above or don't you know that cattles, pigs, sheep, horses, goat, poultry and even fishes fall sick and it is only a veterinarian that is licensed to treat them except you will acquire the services of a quack for a cheaper amount (of which I don't think a man with a poultry capacity of more than 1,000 birds would want to try it).
Thirdly you said "forget self employment" when you had not yet graduated, the implication is that whatever you know about self employment after vet school is hearsay and not from personal experience. Truth be told that even the worst antagonist of the veterinary profession would never say what you said because for God sake in 300 level you will be taught poultry production/pathology/medicine, swine production/pathology/medicine, ruminant (goat, sheep, cattle) production/pathology/medicine, fish production/pathology/medicine, even that of horses and camels. In addition to the above you must compulsorily go for postings both (internal and external) to facilities where the above animals are produced/reared and yet with all these knowledge you dare say "forget self employment" when with less than 50k you can start up a small poultry and with your veterinary knowledge can even make yours stand out !!!! habaaaa!!!! my brother!!!!
Finally I must admit that employment into civil service and private sector may not be easy which I believe is not perculiar to the veterinary profession alone, but I belief that with the knowledge an average veterinarian is exposed to, a veterinarian by the grace of God has no business with poverty except the person doesn't know what he or she is doing. Let me stop here. Thanks

If I had been this much enlightened, I wouldn't have wasted my precious time and years vying to get pharmacy as a course of study.
Back then in 2014, when I was admitted to study vet. med in UI, owing to the mis-information from ignorant folks about the course and different forms of stereotyping, I turned down the offer.
Later when I got admitted into pharmacy school and when I mingle with vet. students I finally get the actual picture of the course. Some moments in the past, I couldn't help to forgive myself not taking the admission.

They won't tell the almajiri kids not to beg money from Christians on the road but when it comes to empowering the Almajiri with western education just like their own kids got from western countries they tell Christians to hands off....

So the way I see it if we Christians in Nigeria want to live a peaceful life then we must be ready to give the almajiri the western education the Northern oligarchy is so afraid of. Western education brings liberty, emancipation from religious indoctrination, global perspectives, cross fertilization of knowledge, scientific advancement and so much more. That whole propaganda about kukah trying to force feed the almajiri with Christianity is blatant rubbish. The missionaries of old never did that neither would the missionaries of today try such in a place like sokoto or kano. The point here is this, the muric's of these world don't want the almajiri educated so they can continue to be foot soldiers in the jihad movement to islamise Nigeria or continue to serve as blind electoral bloc voters to continue to put bigot islamist in power.

Bro salam alaykum. I’m a Muslim also. What I’m pointing out is that either through dream or through reality, everybody agreed that God instructed Abraham to use his son for sacrifice. God speak to the prophet sometimes through dreams or by sending angels or revelations.

Both the Bible and the Quran talked about how God commanded Abraham to kill Isaac.

We all believed it and it’s even part of the reasons why the Muslims celebrate Ileya today.

This Benue man might be insane or he may be telling the truth that God sent him. Coz, when people keep hearing something talking in his brain they might think it’s a way of God telling him what to do.

So one of two things is right:
1) Either he is completely insane or trying to use his son for ritual

As regarding the command of Abraham by God to kill his son, both the bible and Quran have different perspective.
The islamic perspective is that Abraham dreamt that God ordered him to kill his son, not that God spoke to him directly as recorded in the bible. As Abraham took his son for the sacrifice, Allah replaced it with animal... Muslims do not attribute immorality to God.
