Ricky_Ross: Very well said. And don't be surprised Nigerians will celebrate over this stupid report coz they are their own worst enemies. They like to hear bad news about Nigeria. Are you kidding me? ![]() How can Britain be Nigeria's worst enemy? Remember that Britain staked their reputation to make sure that Nigeria is held together. When will Nigeria accept the fact and make ammend? Nigerian military is only good at mounting roadblocks and terrorizing civilians. They are not disciplined too. . . |
They are not far from the truth. The following are evidence in support of their claim that Nigerian forces are incapable of mounting offence operation or doing basic military manoeuvres; 1. They were unable to subdue Nigerdelta militants. They resorted to the massacre of civilian populations to instill fear in the populace. It was the politicians who were able to calm the situation with amnesty programme. 2. Boko haram menance is still ongoing in the northern region. Soldiers who were sent to the region are unable to exert control over the situation. All evidence suggests that the crisis is spreading to other parts of the northern region. So the British tabloid observation is in sync with the events on the ground. We don't have to play ostrich. |
I'm at a loss on why Onitsha should be singled out to be incorporated into Anioma state! I smell politics of divide and rule here. What will Anambra be left with if Onitsha is carved out? Someday, they will carve out Enugu and merge it in a proposed state to be created out of Benue. Igbo leaders should resist this move. |
This is why I did not bother to vote in that election. The election was reduced to a mockery. How can we vote for an "Ofeke"? Ogugua has never demonstrated the basic knowledge of Igbo politics, language, customs and traditions. She can't even speak nor write in Igbo! I believe that she came in contact with Igbo and Nigerian politics for the first time on nairaland. Someone as young as her tends to be confused when she gets infused with cacophony of informations from Igbo detractors online that she will be convinced that adopting pro-Nigerian stance is the best thing to do. Adopting pro-Nigerian stance is good! But you must be ready to balance it out with the defence your tribe whenever it is mobbed or tongue-lashed. My prototype of how pro-Nigerian Ndigbo ought to behave is Abagworo. You will see him in pro-Nigerian threads defending one Nigeria; you will equally see him on anti-Igbo threads defending his tribe. Abagworo has never made any comment to denigrate the status of his kinsmen. But Ogugua and Okija-juju have adopted that habit. |
Iowa and Colorado haven't been called because of a large number of early votes and too few Election Day returns. Nonetheless, Obama is a very obvious favorite and the combination of these states and Nevada would give Obama 272 electoral votes. ~by Nate Cohn 5:06 AM~ HIP HIP HOORAY!!! |
Kay-Dee:Relax! The counties left in Florida are leaning Democrat. So Obama's odd of winning Florida has improved. |
Santa Rosa County, a deeply conservative county in the Florida panhandle, has counted most of its votes, eliminating Romney's biggest pool of outstanding votes. Obama still leads by 40,000 votes. While there are about as many votes left in Republican counties as there are in Republican counties, 40,000 votes will be a tough climb. ~by Nate Cohn 4:52 AM~ |
Obama is a very clear favorite in Colorado. 74 percent of the vote is tabulated in Larimer County and Obama leads by 5 points. This is a county where Romney had to do well to compensate for Obama's resilience in the Denver suburbs. If Obama wins Colorado, and Nevada where he was favored heading into the evening, and Iowa, he would hold enough electoral votes to win the presidency. ~by Nate Cohn 4:44 AM~ |
shymexx: Romney didn't do his homeworks - he had everything to nail Obama, yet he was too arrogant to use it...His desperate lies is about to nail him in Ohio and you are here recommending more lies. |
ogugua88: Fired up and ready to go. Chukwu dalu, I'm not working tomorrow. ![]() Romney told reporters today that he wrote only victory speech. And Obama said that he wrote both victory and concession speech. Let's hope that Obama will be kind enough to lend him his concession speech. ![]() |
Romney's tough math: with Obama presumably favored in Nevada, Obama now holds 257 electoral votes once NH and WI are added to the blue states. Obama is an early, but clear favorite in Colorado. There's nothing yet in Iowa, but a win in the Hawkeye State would combine with Colorado to give Obama the presidency. Florida looks extremely close and it's easy to see how Obama could take the lead with outstanding votes from Democratic areas. Obama's showing in Richmond bodes well for his chances in northern Virginia, which would give him the state if he could repeat his '08 performance. There aren't many Election Day votes in Ohio, but Obama took a large lead in the early vote. Obama trails by less than one million votes in the popular vote and could easily take the lead when the West Coast states report. ~by Nate Cohn 4:02 AM~ |
Since Obama had won Pennsylvania; Romney HAS TO(MUST) win Ohio or it's all over. |
Romney's also in trouble in Florida. Many of Romney's best counties are already finished (although Santa Rosa and Okaloosa are outstanding) and Obama still has votes left in Miami-Dale, Orange, and Broward Counties. The point isn't necessarily that Obama's an obvious favorite yet, but Obama has a 20,000 vote lead and Romney doesn't have an especially obvious means to take a big lead. It's going to be very close. ~by Nate Cohn 3:49 AM~ |
manny4life: Obama leading in CO, but loosing out in MN, NC, and VARelax!!! Don't ring the alarm bell yet. This is Nate Cohn's analysis. . . Right now, Obama has only netted 25,000 |
Unless something surprising happens in northern Virginia, Obama will probably carry the state. Romney didn't make enough gains in rural Virginia and Obama is holding up quite well in the black belt counties of southeastern Virginia. With Obama holding up well in the Richmond suburbs, it's tough to imagine how Romney would make huge inroads in northern Virginia. ~by Nate Cohn 3:41 AM~ |
Obama can afford to lose Florida. He only want to use Florida as a bulwark to deny Romney a path to 270. |
ogugua88: AND OBAMA GETS THE BIG STATES!They are all blue states. It is not unexpected. I'm least surprised. |
CNN has Obama up in Florida 51%-48%, with almost 40% of the vote in. Oops now 41% of the vote is in. I thought Florida was one battleground state Romney might win, but he looks to be struggling. (Of course in Florida, it’s not over until the last lawyer has been heard from. ) |
ItsModella: Romney wins Arkansas, Tennessee and Oklahoma. They are deep red states. He's expeced to win in those states. |
The big picture in Virginia: Romney isn't getting the margins he needs in western Virginia, so he'll need a decline black turnout or out-sized gains in northern Virginia. Most wouldn't have expected either of those outcomes, which makes Obama an early favorite. Of course, we don't have much from eastern Virginia, so the returns haven't precluded either of Romney's routes to victory. ~by Nate Cohn 2:19 AM~ |
Ok, letSeriously, you have issues with comprehension that you could not even identify illustration when you sees one. He illustrated a programme designed to frustrate the Biafrans economically, while you are regurgitating some loads of malarkey. You are simply disoriented. In your bid to attack Ekwueme, you overlooked his illustration to explain his point. What prevents you from linking him up on facebook or other social media to debate this issue with him. Cos you loves to play to the gallery. You want to accept cheers from your ignorant adherents. Katsumoto: That's a lot of BS sir. |

I wonder why someone will waste his precious time responding to that overfed buffoon called FFK. He's so ignorant that no informed mind should bother to dignify him with a response. The man is simply an attention seeker. It's only in Nigeria that folks like him are called intellectuals. |
ferdiii: Actually she asks 'what do you do for a leaving?'. When she ought to have started with am a medical doctor and you are...?No! She can never make a pre-emptive introduction. She will expect you to lead the way. When it's her turn, you'll discover that she brought nothing to the table. As a matter of fact, she is liability to you. The same person will develop love for you on the same day because she sensed that you can afford her financial security which she so much desire. |
ojubi: I know a girl who is currently refusing a marriage proposal from a very promising, God fearing, ambitious, and nice young rich man cos accoding to her d dude does not satisfy her in bed.One famous comedian once said "e dey sweet me e dey sweet u; na who go pay?" Know it today that many women place sex on their priority list. Just that they wont admit it. |
1. Beauty: Eye go first chop. I will ask myself, "is she presentable?" "Can I proudly walk on the street with her?" 2. Character: Dis na the main thing. I can't just tolerate some characters. I love girls who are down-to-earth. Though I mostly meet the proud types nowadays. |
Billyonaire: Learnt one or 2 things there, but that money issue is a fat lie. I cant love without throwing some money around. Money is the lubricant of love. Ladies, what says y'all.I can't agree more. Remember that ancient maxim; "there is no romance without finance". My uncle once told me that love is not sweet without money. Therefore, money is an essential part of love/marriage. If money is not essential, then why do girls start conversation with, "what do you do for a living?". |
texazzpete: So the 'whistleblower' here is a security consultant and arms supplier whose business can be said to be negatively impacted by the FG doing business with a key competitor...and you people are swallowing his story hook, line and sinker. |

homerac7: most of posters here have never had a dealing with any FG agency on technical matters otherwise you will know that scamming those guys is next to impossible unless those guys are in collusion with you. do you really really really think that everybody in civil service is truely a dumbo? dont worry, when time you have dealings with them arrive, just go to them with such mindset and see yourself disgraced.Exactly! You can only scam Nigerian government if they are in collusion with u. |
illitrate: Nigerian defence and security equipment contractor, Alh. Rabiu Hassan, yesterday, alleged that some Israeli security contractors (names withheld) were fleecing the nation of huge sums of money in hard currencies by supplying either non-functional equipments or collecting mobilisation fees without making supplies.Did anyone read meaning into the bolded? ![]() It's all politics! Two firms are bidding for a lucrative contract from the federal government. The firm which is on the verge of losing out is wiping up sentiment by playing subtle racism to deny its bitter rival the deal. Is the intention of this write-up not clear from the bolded? |
