Henry240: Unlike the South African army that fled without turning back, the Nigerian army reversed whatever gains made in a 6 weeks blitzkrieg. The African lightning war. Then they begged South Africa not to return giving mining contracts and protection. Seleka is currently protecting mines owned by South Africans |

tdayof: To fight hungry thugs? To fight rebels who are kids and still give the same excuse on finished ammunitions?.
Common we Nigerians accept our past but we're stronger than ever. In case you're not aware, Seleka is not South Africa's problem. Boko Haram is your problem raping and killing your own blood and flesh.... Your trauma is gonna last for decades. |

tdayof: The same kids your guys fought in CAR and went out of armor.
Moreover, why do you love arguments? We killed 600 out of 3000 in less than 24hrs...
Nigeria lost 4000 troops just trying to cross a baifran river
COWARDS!!! |

Henry240: Nigerian soldiers withdrew, when it was clear they were about to be overrun, regrouped and counter attacked. Anyway, it doesn't matter, we simply rolled back all the gains the terrorists made in 6 weeks in what is a magnificent military feat by any standard.
All dose wan na wen some Omo dem nyansh don dey hot dem to yarn trash. Na 2 put dem 4 d sukaway wey dem belong. Ah no plan am like dat, things just roll d wey e roll out.
Anyway, I mak sure sey dem chop beta slap b4 I call off the routing. Half a battalion ran away to Cameroon and some applied for asylum... It's an act of coward. ... Your own Courts found them guilty of being cowards

Posidonius: Looks fixable to me, although it would cost a lot of money. The main rotor looks damaged means the engine might need changing, no signs of fire damages and the main airframe looks okay. The systems shouldn't be affected although they would need to go through some checks.
I'm sure the helicopter would be fixed as a face saving measure, and to show accountability.
Repairs can be done in country and could be pushed for. AW might be willing to go an extra mile, because of the idea that Nigeria might be getting more helicopters looking at the interests in the Russian platforms. My assertions might be wrong though but let's see how thing pan out. Nigeria doesn't have the technical skill to fix that chopper at that stage of damage. This is not maintenance work or bug removing in the turbines.... This is something else... If the aircraft was more damaged than it is, it wouldn't be fixed at all but it would be just scrapped. I hope you understand. |

jln115: Trust me they are active every fvcking day!! The artillery school is at Klipdrif military base, but the range is on the other side of Potchefstroom about 30km apart.....you can hear the rounds landing if you are in Potch, and sometimes if you are in the right place you can hear them firing then a few seconds later you can hear the shells landing as well. You at Potchefstroom? For some reason I always assumed you were in the Western Cape :\ |

I'm a believer of our own products HOWEVER I don't believe the Rooivalk would ever sell outside South Africa. See, buying a machine like the Rooivalk goes beyond "Wow this machine is great", there's plenty of politics to consider.... South Africa is an AFRICAN country so I don't think the world is prepared to invest the future of their air defence (even partially) to an African country. We're still not there. |

kikuyu1: @ActivateKruger,have you ever considered maybe Ivan equipment isn't so much 'cheap' but Western stuff is perhaps overpriced? Please breakdown the cost of a Su 30 mk1 compared to your Grip. Thanks Western engineers (research, design and and development) are costly because of high competition amongst competing industries BUT it's a case of paying for the best brains. The fact that Russia can't import and pay for top notch engineers from around the world makes their equipment not better in comparison. |

MORE DAKKA-DAKKA*
*this requirement is impossible to meet as you allways need more DAKKA Hehehe Not a bad idea, there's a small window at the back of the door ... A minigun could add more dakka |

Denel could acquire a licence to make a modified version for our needs. We do exactly what we did to the Puma and wala an Oxry 2 is born..... We have the experience. |

The helicopter we could actually use... It carries 9 more troops than the Oxry. Theoretically we could buy lesser numbers than the current Oxry numbers to retain the same capacity.
