Cretin, it's hard for blockheads like u to think with their brains. Marriage produces kids and they must be taken care of by folks who laid down to bring them into this world. They are not supposed to help us raise our own family. Parents are selfish when they don't think it through on what it takes to raise a family. A lot of young Naija folks think that the easiest to be accomplished when their hustle does not pay off is to get someone pregnant. If you want someone to be your flesh and blood, shouldn't you be thinking what to leave behind for that your offspring? Should we bequeath poverty simply because we were born poor?

NURTW is notorious for going on strike over anything, even when there were asked to stop parking illegally on the highways and to use their parks instead. Will we continue to let this group get away with daily slaughter of innocent Nigerians just because of strikes?

If we insist on the right thing and uphold the ban, they MIGHT go on strike, but they will call it off eventually. I don't mind a bit of sacrifice today, in order to have a safer tomorrow.

If you have a headache, do you cut off the head? Truckers move the nation. The govt should enforce traffic laws, make sure that drivers are trained. In a country where driver's license is obtained in absentia, how do you expect drivers to be properly trained?

But deep down I know that that's not the main reason, because there thousands of women with same qualities and I never fell for them. I have once fallen in real love with someone who didn't have the qualities I wanted in a woman, I fell in love with, who she was not what I wanted from her. also I have friends who have the qualities I want in my ideal woman, but I am not attracted to them talk less of falling in love. In my opinion this qualities increase the probability of you liking or fancying someone but not a sure bet to induce love.

Always remember that guys have marriage at the back of mind when are fully settled. School-work-house-family. Guys are also more realistic about marriage and its challenges than most women. Masters and better pay later outweigh ur bank offer.Also, you will be debt free and if u decided to settle in the US, you can take an entry level position with lower salary since you don't have student loan/debt to pay back. Just yesterday another accident involving a trailer claimed 5 more lives in Anambra State. Innocent men, women and children have been burnt to ashes and crushed to death because fuel tanker and trailer drivers have refused to pay heed to traffic regulations. The victims of those accidents never bargained for it, it could happen to anyone tomorrow.

Ask the govt to fix roads, railway and enforce existing traffic laws.

Just because a guy at 28 has two kids does not mean he is poor. He could be established and financially secure and especially married at that age shows some form of maturity. People are different and have different goals and measure success differently like he may view having a family as successful while others may view career and money as successful. Having kids is not a measure of success and maturity. What matters is the quality life offered to the kids. It's obvious that Jim Iyke's kids would have better quality of life than OP. Jim can afford to send his kids to best schools and hospitals Naija. They already have an edge in life. Too many kids are not being taken care of , we born them and send out to relatives and friends. We send them out to go and hawk things on the road. I see this a lot amongst young Naijas, when their hustle is not paying off, the last resort is to go get someone pregnant and start making babies. Puvguy: Yes, Jim Iyke is the topic here and I wrote against the assertions of the 28 year old dude. Again, Jim Iyke is a successful man. But there are more successful people who are less popular. His chosen career just made him more exposed to the public. We should always have an holistic view bro.

Here are some food for thought:

1. A rich successful man with 3 kids that gives him problems - daughter getting pregnant out of wedlock, son steals his money and waste it on frivolities, another is involve in cultism . Now would you call him a failure because he can't put his home in order? I bet not!

2. A successful man/woman that is either divorced or never married, with or without kids is certainly not a failure.

3. A poor/average man with 3 kids - son in the university doing well with his academics, daughter is married to her love, another graduated and working (Kids are his legacy). I bet you will still call him a failure?

Since success and fame are not mutually exclusive, find me a guy who's got it all. Jim Iyke has it all going for him. So you are "successful" like the OP by having 2 kids? The OP set bar for measuring success = having kids. It's this lazy mentality that has kept Naija stagnated. I bet u the OP had his 1st child at 25/26.. now show me how many 25 yr olds who are financially stable in Naija?Unless he's an outlier or inherited wealth, it's very difficult for his kids to climb up the ladder of social/economic mobility. To be born poor or struggling is destiny, but to pass it on to your next offspring is sheer laziness and selfishness! I believe in leaving my family better than I was given. So many folks don't plan their lives, they plan along while bringing kids to the world; hoping that their kids would have it better without any concrete plans or savings for their kids. This mentality has to go. The rich are having fewer kids while poor are still thinking that more kids are more wealth.
