9jadelta: okwaraji was just an average player, he becomes legend because he died playing for his country. Nigeria vs india is a false story we keep telling ourselves till we forget the realityWhat have you won in your life? A Belgian club paid $500,000 in 1980s for Sam while Man U with deeper pocket paid €1.2m for Eric Cantona in 1992. The first black player to command £1 million was Justin Fashanu, John's brother in 1980s and Sam commanded $500k straight from Africa, do u think Oyibos like to throw away money? He played for AS Roma. |
rigormortis: the first day you met him, would have considered talking to him if he didnt have that car?, i thought you said you like tall and chubby guys, now young dude comes in a flashy car and you sharply miss you period while standing on the high way, you suddenly dont care about height or chubbiness anymore.A million gbozas!! |
I need a bottle of Odeku and Ganga to understand this one! |
AmBeautiful: @ op, from the tone in your post, its evident you don't even like her.Likeness doesn't pay the bill... Get it in ur head! |
Chinaimporter: Illuminati people don come again.they want us all to be gays and lesbians...branson di kwa careful oKeep wallowing in your poverty infested mentality while your pastors are buying jets worth millions of $. They are already enjoying their heaven on earth in " illuminati" lifestyle. |
Tales by moonlight.. Odds of this happening in your life 1 out of 10million |
Rocktation: ^^well for one, getting a direction in life will make her his wife, from everything he's said up there. I mean, he's done all the picturing that needs to be done already. He doesn't care if he's dated her for just two hours or one week. Neither did he lay any other complaint on why he cannot get married to her.Time for a reality check! Marriage is a costly venture that must be funded and paid for in order for love to flourish. |
Locally fabricated and put together or everything all locally made? Engines locally made? |
Truth be told: they are not going to be exploited to pay for 2 weddings -- trad and white like Naija men.. BTW, it's the bride parents that pay for white wedding. |
Yes, I can do it cos I went to heaven without dying!lol |
Rocktation: Well advicing her is not enough. Why don't you help her start up the biz since it's going to be rewarding for you too? I mean working-together-and-building-up-financially, has never made more sense to me.It takes more than love for marriage to happen. Wedding is paid for with money not love, rent is paid for with money not love, kids are also taken care of with money. So the man is not asking for too much. Dump her if she doesn't want to do anything to contribute. |
ChikezieU: moonnkkeey; who is talking of many children, the topic is simple, financial stable or not, manage the amount you earnCretin, it's hard for blockheads like u to think with their brains. Marriage produces kids and they must be taken care of by folks who laid down to bring them into this world. They are not supposed to help us raise our own family. Parents are selfish when they don't think it through on what it takes to raise a family. A lot of young Naija folks think that the easiest to be accomplished when their hustle does not pay off is to get someone pregnant. If you want someone to be your flesh and blood, shouldn't you be thinking what to leave behind for that your offspring? Should we bequeath poverty simply because we were born poor? |
philusaau: i have got no job and i am getting married thins year. What most people do not understand is this. There are some blessings attached to marriage.Says who? Folks like you are the reason why many kids are begging and hawking on the streets. Kids are not supposed to play a part in your hustle, they are supposed to enjoy your hustle... You are laying a good foundation for a never- ending poverty in your lineage... The rich are planning and having fewer babies, the poor are having more babies thinking that strength is in numbers! |
A bunch of typical hungry Naija girls! Always wanting their guy friends to pay for life their parents could not afford. |
Why is it frowned upon to say " I have adopted"? |
And most importantly, bring a blank cheque to assure him that you will be a team player and payer as well! |
carefreewannabe: She is thinking:Lol... But it ain't me! |
Most of them didn't pass English in their SSSCE and we are talking about intelligence test. |
tess22: @adconline, I understand that any change is always resisted. But what do you propose to end the carnage? Are we going to let the FEAR of strikes prevent us from doing the right thing to safe guard lives. If you have a headache, do you cut off the head? Truckers move the nation. The govt should enforce traffic laws, make sure that drivers are trained. In a country where driver's license is obtained in absentia, how do you expect drivers to be properly trained? |
SLIDE waxie: Let's reason and see if a woman is actually jobless:How can u do all these if someone is not working and paying for it? |
Matthew briggs: I will tell her the qualities I see in her, that I love about her, Because that's what she wants to hear. But deep down I know that that's not the main reason, because there thousands of women with same qualities and I never fell for them. Love is a force I can't explain, no matter how we try it remains a mystery. There is something that drew u to that woman.. Maybe physical..b0oty |
Matthew briggs: The above is lust not love. Love is selfless. I have once fallen in real love with someone who didn't have the qualities I wanted in a woman, I fell in love with, who she was not what I wanted from her.So if the woman asked u to name one thing that made u fall in love, what would that be? |
Always remember that guys have marriage at the back of mind when are fully settled. School-work-house-family. Guys are also more realistic about marriage and its challenges than most women. Good to know that he wants to settle down after his program. Like u said, there a lot of guys out there who would like to date u, but how many of them are ready marry u? |
Your relatives are going to pay $60k for ur Masters in the US and you are still asking for better option? Masters and better pay later outweigh ur bank offer. Also, you will be debt free and if u decided to settle in the US, you can take an entry level position with lower salary since you don't have student loan/debt to pay back. Consider the exprience and world class education |
yinchar: See people talking about MONEY when we talking about LIFE Mscheeewwwwwwwwbecause u don't understand people's lives are going to be affected if they are banned. Drivers will go on strike. A litre of petrol could go up to N200. Prices of good will go up by 50-100% |
tess22: Walk The Talk: Ban Daytime Movement Of Fuel Tankers And Trailers In Nigeria! From akinwaleok: u r very rightFrom Okada to KeKe to Trailer to Tanker. What have u started or tried in ur life? Truckers and trailers move the nation, not trains, ACN, PDP, and Airplanes. I wonder if you have put so much on what it takes to move a bag of garri from Edo to Lagos or what it take deliver a gallon of PMS from Lagos to Katsina. Ask the govt to fix roads, railway and enforce existing traffic laws. |
Amaechi stole Rivers money to buy a private jet and nobody is complaining. All we care for is why his jet was not cleared by FAAN. Major roads in PHC are in horrible condition! |
Royal^Pearl^:Having kids is not a measure of success and maturity. What matters is the quality life offered to the kids. It's obvious that Jim Iyke's kids would have better quality of life than OP. Jim can afford to send his kids to best schools and hospitals Naija. They already have an edge in life. Too many kids are not being taken care of , we born them and send out to relatives and friends. We send them out to go and hawk things on the road. I see this a lot amongst young Naijas, when their hustle is not paying off, the last resort is to go get someone pregnant and start making babies. Kids are not supposed to walk their hustle part with us because they had no input when we were getting laid, |
Puvguy: Yes, Jim Iyke is the topic here and I wrote against the assertions of the 28 year old dude. Again, Jim Iyke is a successful man. But there are more successful people who are less popular. His chosen career just made him more exposed to the public. We should always have an holistic view bro.Since success and fame are not mutually exclusive, find me a guy who's got it all. Jim Iyke has it all going for him. So you are "successful" like the OP by having 2 kids? The OP set bar for measuring success = having kids. It's this lazy mentality that has kept Naija stagnated. I bet u the OP had his 1st child at 25/26.. now show me how many 25 yr olds who are financially stable in Naija?Unless he's an outlier or inherited wealth, it's very difficult for his kids to climb up the ladder of social/economic mobility. To be born poor or struggling is destiny, but to pass it on to your next offspring is sheer laziness and selfishness! I believe in leaving my family better than I was given. So many folks don't plan their lives, they plan along while bringing kids to the world; hoping that their kids would have it better without any concrete plans or savings for their kids. This mentality has to go. The rich are having fewer kids while poor are still thinking that more kids are more wealth. |
Red-Light:Benin Ore road. |
ola_pluto: So by that single, isolated incidence, Nigeria is unsafe. Bravo! Hope you have your red pali because Nigeria doesnt really need you. What's ur understanding of isolated incidence? Maybe ur dictionary is written by Boko Haram? This a daily occurrence in Naija and you are talking as if you live in Aso Rock. BTW, GEJ had to stay indoor during one of ur our Independence anniversaries due to insecurity. |
