I see Nigeria has a far higher Doctor to patient ratio than countries like Ghana - a country many like to tell us is ''better than Nigeria'', and a higher rate than almost all other countries in west and central Africa. Nigeria does not manufacture vehicles. Innoson assembles. Powertrain made by Cummins USA, Zinox does not manufacture, but assembles. In fact, Nigeria does not make KEKE NAPEP, but India; no bicyle but China; no wheel barrow but China. Are roads are built by Germans, Isrealis, Lebanese,Chinese and Arabs.

Whether or not you plan before or after marriage the time to have kids is not the point. It not always necessary to have kids immediately after marriage..it good to wait to there is financial stability. A lot of people marry w/o being where they want to be financial, but work together as a couple to get there. So during this time they will put off having kids.

Why not get financially stable before talking of marriage? It seems that most folks who are clamouring for ASAP marriage are simply looking for someone to pay for their source of happiness i.e. marriage. if u believe that marriage is going to make u a complete and happier person, why not save up for that instead of waiting for someone to pay for that.

I met this girl late last year and my intention was made known to her.

What i actually find difficulty in understanding is the fact that the federal government levies higher charges on importation and clearing of new cars/buses at the ports compared to old cars/buses. So in effect, it is cheaper to import old written off cars into the country than it is to bring in new ones. You have to wonder at the logic of policy makers in this country.

In other countries, policy makers keep out the trash and make it easier for citizens to bring in new stuffs, in Nigeria, it is the other way round. Little wonder the streets of England are flush with the most recent vehicles by year of manufacture. The benefits are immense - safer road, cleaner air and better quality of life.

Big vehicles have longer lifespan than cars. Mack/CAT/ Mercedes/MAN engines can run up to 1 million miles and still going strong. Big vehicles built in 1960/70s are still on the road in most devolelopd countries. The problem with Naija truckers is that they think they own the road, they are reckless, and uneducated and trained. You drive through Naija road, you will see crashed vehicles like brand new Mercedes Actros, MAN, Iveco, DAF and Mack. These are vehicles that can pass road test anywhere in the world.

Problem with Nigerians is that hard to say I cannot do it or I have neve done when it comes services. I took my car a a Dunlop service centre in Lagos , the place looks good like what can you find in most develop countries , the mechanic didn't know to remove my rear shoe brake and started telling I got the wrong one since it did not come with springs. He said that I should buy another one from their " recommended vendors" unknown to him that my relative had purchased the parts overseas with correct vin number. When I told him that he didn't know how to do it and I saw how he was struggling, he became defensive and started telling me how he was a God fearing person. I asked him to stop and asked that only my plugs be changed, he was excited to tell me that I had brought original plugs, then I told that I got the spark plugs and brake pads, shoes together from one source, so how come the brake shoes are inferior and spark plugs are original?
