RomanceRe: How Do I Become My Wife’s Best Friend? by adconline(m): 4:07am On May 03, 2010
Sometimes, men are on different wavelength's to women and men can be totally engrossed in their quest to put food on the table, forgetting that its not all about money. Women have totally different needs. We need love and affection. We need to be appreciated, we need to talk, we need to be listend to, we need to be affectionately touched and spoken to. Men are sometimes too busy to do all this and the woman begins to feel unloved and un appreciated.
It seems that you are mixing dating with marriage? A woman who's married to him for the past 10 years should not derive joy in sending signals. If are u bold enough to walk naked before your partner, you should be bold enough to be a straight shooter. You dont pile them for ten years or could be regarded as the biblical Delilah. Playing mind games is not a good thing in marriage that's lasted for 10yrs. This dude never forced her to make babies knowing very that she was and still not a happy camper. She knew the outcome of this marriage from the onset would be a divorce, so how could she put herself and kids through all these when she could have averted all of these if she had been rational?

Maybe you were financially more suitable than most of the guys she had been sleeping with while she was shopping for a husband. There was a trade-off for her.

kobojunkie, adcoline and knowall ( lol) i really don't understand why you guys are so against the airport project. like someone already said, the airport is part of the lekki free trade zone agreement. why not let those who know best decide what to do? fashola has been doing a good job so far so i think there is good reason to trust his ideas.

Could you answer my questions please? On a scale of 1 to 10 where does a new airport rank amongst the needs of Lagosians? Do you go shopping for a jacuzzi when u ve got no running water. Show me facts not emotions?
BusinessRe: Fashola Shops For N73.3b For Airport by adconline(m): 1:47am On Apr 29, 2010
I thought he said "In most cases" In most and in all have 2 different interpretations.

What's wrong with the Government giving ups something to benefit the same public.

Btw, so if I be one of the lucky hundreds of people wey go dey collect paychecks from the elite airport, my landlord go reject my rent money because na elite airport I get am from.

Abi mama put do refuse to sell me rice because na for elite airport I dey work. The elite thing is really comical I swear.

I know ignorance and illiteracy is real, but why force it to the surface by any means necessary?

U didn’t answer any of my questions? To break it down, do you go shopping for a Jacuzzi when there is no running water in the house?
PoliticsRe: New Video of Training, Martyrdom Statements : Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab by adconline(m): 1:41am On Apr 29, 2010
Point Blank,  U r a fool if u actually believe that video is real. even the captions of the "militants" in the video looked like a straight fraude, the caption of abdulmutallab looking into the camera for the biggest hollywood stunt ever lol  . By the way why would the camera guy zoom right in on him huh? im thinking at that time being he had the same status as the other "militants" so why the extra special caption? lol.

Oh yeah, and u better believe that this guy is not a real terrorist. he is made up by the US and UK, open your eyes. If the dude wanted to blow up the plane he would have peacefully. he wouldnt have gotten "caught", a real terrorist would have just gone in the bathroom and blew himself up. and yep everybody would pretty much be dead. Look closely and the video is fake. The boy is no mentallity or the statue of a trained militant smh,  oh and wow, the West was real clever in putting in the whole "kill Jews and Christians" thing to make it more believable, Bravo!!!!

Its funny how theyre training in the desert of Yemen when yemen mujahideen militants and saudia arabian army have been fight in that same desert for years and they still are, youtube it lol,  even just type in yemen and it'll just pop up. and on top of that both the yemen mujahideen militants and saudia arabian soldiers are all muslim so abdulmutallab couldnt have been over there in the field talking about "kill Jew and Christian"

My Africans and Nigerians dont be fooled all of this that is happening is just the seed for the future excuse of "why we invaded nigeria and brought Africaom",  the US has already made nigeria submit to them by forcing them to allow them put air marshalls on their flights! Its all the beginning,

I know u wished that he had not done what he did? Are we also naive to believe that he wanted to attack an airplane? Maybe UK and US forced him to do so, but never forced him to get educated in one of the best universities in the world? Maybe UK&US forced to live in $6million mansion? Maybe the US&UK forced him to fly first class and travel the world? My grouse with UK& US is that they are treating these terrorists with kids' gloves. I will not take it lightly with anyone who wants to kill people cos I dont want my family to get hurt, I know you want the same thing?
BusinessRe: Fashola Shops For N73.3b For Airport by adconline(m): 1:25am On Apr 29, 2010
All those speaking against the airport are doing so based on a very illiterate understanding on the concept of PPPs.
This project is a public private partnership. In most cases, the money used for the project would be sourced form the private sector.
The concessionaire would have to make returns on his investment for crying out loud!

Mr Teacher Sir,
What would be public involvement in this project? Why is it a partnership if the public is not going to cough up some dough? Are you saying that this is 100% private sector project? Are you going to include Land, govt largesse and concessions that will follow? Why cant PPP build house or power stations? Don’t you think that capital for housing is less, but with higher returns than building an airport? All PPP can build roads and charge toll fees.
The point is that the elite want to build a gigantic airport to congratulate themselves that we have arrived, so that we can now dine and wine with the Queen, but fact still remains that most Lagosians do not have basic amenities of life. Do know how much he would make if he built roads and installed toll ways, provided water and waste management since most people use these on daily basis? In Maslow's hierarchy of needs, where does airport fit in?
Christianity EtcRe: Benny Hinn's Wife Files For Divorce, Very Sad. by adconline(m): 12:56am On Apr 29, 2010
Hey get some respect, we are talking about a man of God here.Like i always say, marriage needs a lot of work to survive. Besides, some ministers devote so much time to their ministry at the expense of their family life and the results could be tragic especially in a society that have allowed the satanic doctrine of divorce to thrive even in churches. What we are seeing is a direct result of the effects of watered down gospel preached in most American churches today. When supposed men of God wed homosexuals, tell you that your wife may not be Gods will for you, encourage you to seek for divorce at the first drop of a hat, what do you expect. No one wants to stand for marriage. This is besides the fact that highly potent satanic forces are always focused on ministers especially in America to discredit the gospel. And thats also why i will never listen to juanita bynum or Paula white talk about marriage since thay have nothing to offer in that department.

Naija way of blaming unseen forces for every thing. Can we for once accept responsibility in our lives?Pastors  who have "prayed and counselled" many people couples cannot even  handle business of marriage. No wonder Mandela endured imprisonment for 27 yrs, but not stand marriage for 5 years.

RomanceRe: Do Nigerians Always Marry Each Other? by adconline(m): 3:17pm On Apr 28, 2010
Yours is a case of one in a million an like I said, you cannot concretely generalize.

I have a cousin who married a German and after a 10 year marriage is asking us to find a 'Nigeria wife' for him.  And that is not an isolated case, it's very very common especially with Igbos.

How many threads do we get on this forum where Nigerians abroad dont even want to marry their own people there. They prefer Nigerians living in Nigeria. Are you telling me they NEVER dated a non-Nigerian they could have married comfortably

Are u a sociologist or a statistician? Do you have any data to back up  these  generalisations? U are saying that if "A" happens that be "B" MUST happen. Can you bet with your life that "B" must happen?  Show me facts not emotions or stereotypes. How can you speak for over 100 million folks? This is 2010 it ain't 1900.

PoliticsRe: Ohakim Signs Mou On Nuclear Power Generation, Mass Housing by adconline(m): 11:54pm On Apr 24, 2010
Nope the burden of proof is on you who are making the allegation. This stems from the concept of innocent until proven guilty. It was never guilty until proven innocent.
A company that  says that its primary business is importation of distallates from W/Africa can reliable build a nuclear power plant?

The Imo indigenes are not interested in the technical prowess of companies awarded contract, they just are interested in having the promised energy/electricity delivered.
I don't know that there is any Government anywhere in the world that awards a countract and goes on to lecture its citizens about the Engineering prowess of the company procured to execute the contract.

Can you speak for urself cos folks want contracts to be awarded to the right company. We are talking about nuclear power generation not refuse disposal.  A very few companies are into this line of business, and companies that have signed MOU are no where near this category. If u are a Nigerian, yes ,govt does  not have to award contract to technically competent  companies, we have also seen where it has landed us. So we should not be the standard.

So if you have gone as far as saying these companies are not legitimate companies then please provide proof or hold your peace.

You can not sit in your little corner and accuse the rest of the world of fraud and ask them to prove their innocence. The world does not work like that. Prove it if you say the company is not legitimate and yes a google search is not conclusive.

Google is a seach engine and not a database of all legitimate companies in the world of which any company that does not appear on google is a fraud.

Here is the information of a one-man company that builds nuclear plant
http://www.exporters.sg/member_profile.asp?co_id=101018
Run a search on manta.com  and goliath.ecnext.com to check these companies

Nigeria just signed a local content bill and what this means is that more and more companies that are not house hold names will continue to be the direct beneficiaries of contracts like these. They may end up sublating some part of the job if they don't have the expertise. But that ExxonMobil, Shell or General Electric has not won the contract does not mean it is a fraud.
What's local about American based companies? So local content bill favours unknown small American firms instead of Nigerian companies? U are making sense at all? What's the correlation between  importation of products from W/AFrica and building of nuclear plants? Maybe it's jack of all trades!!!

However if you think if you think it is a fraud then provide proof. Since this doesnt smell of fraud, would you  allow ur pharmacist to become ur sugeon?
PoliticsRe: Ohakim Signs Mou On Nuclear Power Generation, Mass Housing by adconline(m): 8:32pm On Apr 24, 2010
Please let us have proof of the list you are looking at.

A mere google search may give an insight into what is what but is not necessarily conclusive.

If for a example the companies are Nigerian companies what is permissible evidence is records of the company in "Coperate Affairs Commissions" records or the lack of it.

So stop tearing others down over nothing, just produce your evidence.

The boarden of proof is for those of you who say the company does not exist.

How low can we get? A governor  signs an MOU with companies that are not into power generation and distribution and u are arguing over it. A simple google search tells you a lot. One of the companies says that it exports products to West African countries, it operates office in an apartment complex. This sounds like a front for Nigerians. the one that seems credible is a law firm- maybe acting on advisorial capacity, but where are the companies that are nuclear power builders?
Not only a google search,  if u run a company  profile search, the results will be ZERO. There is nothing to show for these companies. This sounds like another Pentascope -NITEL
The burden of proof is on you that these companies are capable of handling a nuclear power project and they have done it in the past. It's not tearing folks down, it called due diligence. If you are going to hire someone for a job, shouldnt you consider her work exprience and qualifications?
PoliticsRe: Ohakim Signs Mou On Nuclear Power Generation, Mass Housing by adconline(m): 12:34pm On Apr 24, 2010
Did the companies say on their website that they are conduit pipes for money laundering?
What research did you do to show the companies don't exist? Google search? and thats enough to know what companies exist and which dont?

One of the companies is listed as sellers of distillates. You are speaking on behalf of companies that have no websites and tracking record of producing candles let alone nuclear station. The era of being naive and gullible is gone, cos why cant a power company at least have a searchable profile. It seems u live in paradise, did the companies that helped Alameiye launder funds say that they would help anyone who would like to move money abroad? Maybe the ones Abacha and OBJ used classified their operations as conduits

Folks just need to open up their minds a little bit and stop being negative over nothing. When other were working, we were asked to pray for miracles, now folks who worked are enjoying their fruit of their labour, we are being asked to be positive and hopeful " Those who wait may get their share, but only left overs from hustlers" Chinese proverb. On the contrary you prove that these companies are world class and capable of delivering nuclear power technology to folks in Imo State
PoliticsRe: Ohakim Signs Mou On Nuclear Power Generation, Mass Housing by adconline(m): 7:16pm On Apr 22, 2010
and what if it turns out the energy plant does get built?
It's possible only if a molue company can transform over night into a "NUCLEAR power company. It's possible cos Nigerians believe in miracles.
A simple search will tell you that these companies are conduits for looting public funds. Why cant he start with geothermal companies like that of Barth Nnaji?

I had searched all websites to corroborate Fashanu's side of the stories, but did not find any link to support his version.Naija journalists are amazing, it seems that they are happy to get an interview with a celebrity so that they could have their one minute fame. The interviewer did not even do a simple search on his marital status, cos he/she could have found out that he divorced his wife a few years ago .He/she could have asked him when he played Kanu. These journalists should take fact-checking as a course.

PoliticsRe: For Real? How Jonathan Made Nigeria Proud In Washington Dc by adconline(m): 3:32pm On Apr 19, 2010
US government sources say Nigeria is the first country in Africa under the Obama administration to enjoy such an agreement. It was signed just a week ahead of the Jonathan visit. Incidentally, soon after Nigeria signed the Bi-National Commission with the US, the South Africans also quickly got a similar deal with the US government, which was announced last Thursday after the departure of the Acting President. The US-South African agreement was named a Strategic Dialogue, raising press enquiries at the State Department that this was happening so soon after the US-Nigerian Bi-National Commission.

In the 90s,  Al Gore and Thabo Mbeki  co-chaired a bi-national commission, unless it was not considered a bi-national commission by Obama administration or did this newspaper do a fact check?

I wonder what's constructive about his statement. What credibility does this man have to criticize Sanusi? Under his watch, a lot of Nigerians had been killed because of his lack of vision. He has consistently failed to see the signs of violence in Niaja. "Public sector spending" in 70s and 80s that appeared on paper and never happened in real Naija. Politrickians signed bogus loans, got their kickbacks and stashed them in Swiss banks. What are we talking about? How can there not govt spending where our electricity, rail and road systems are in shamble? We talk about govt spending, have we measured stated govt spending with actual delivery of govt projects on ground? Ajaokuta would be among the public sector spending of 70s and 80s?

Please tell me who is shouting that Nigeria is heaven on earth. We all know our problems. The issue is why are people shouting that Nigeria is hell on earth.

Arguing against this write-up is reminiscent of Saddam Hussen's Information Minister Mohammed Saeed al-Sahhaf actions. He was telling Iraqis that their soldiers were still in control even when he knew that Saddam had been forced out of his palace by the Americans . "Today I have visited whole Baghdad city, no invaders found. You go and see how we have ousted them from this city. They are crying outside and waiting to receive bullets. They will be killed shortly."

So what is the premise of your argument, that such slums do not exist and or that folks do not live in those slums? The reason why western media pay us no good attention is because Nigeria is a nation that has an image deficit. Simply put, there is nothing positive to balance Nigeria's negative image. India for instance has some serious socio-economic problems, but it can point to some positive results like raising over 200 million of its citizens to middle, higher education that produces graduates that are competitive in the global market, nuclear power, space lunch, grooming a lot billionaires who made their fortune from Indian economy, stable democracy, opening doors to foreign investments etc.
