sucess001: its really erroneous for pple to think hardwork is what brings in money.
its not.
its God's favour and the financial rinciples you practice dta does.
back in 2011 i was working my life out in vi and collecting about 60k per month.
then i got another job for less stress a month after and was paid 170k for less work.
then i moved into the bank for yet less work and got paid about thrice that.
you should all think...those your ogas...are they really 'hardworking'?
no they are not. tyhe morte you move up the ladder, the more you are expected to relax and use your head more.
this means with time, our op will also grow up the ladder...hardword or not...
for all thinkin hardwork is why you have more money...think twice... Hard work and success are not mutually exclusive.. Efficiency is the biggest ingredient of hard work.. U got paid better because of efficiency. U work smarter. Dictionary is the only place that success comes before work. Hard work is the price we must pay for success. I think you can accomplish anything if you're willing to pay the price. Vince Lombardi |

macjive01: My take on the issue.
First, nowadays, many Nigeria's especially igbo tend to Stick with their white wives. And never remarry.
How old is your man? If he is over 40 then there might be an issue, most older folks are more traditional than the younger , devil-may-care- attitude igbo/ Nigerians. ( though yorubas still have a strong family influence over their choice)
Has he any education ? ( this will help gauge his reasoning and outlook).
He got his resident permit before he married you; If he got it through a marriage union with another white girl then I would say his married with you must be geniune, cos the traditional approch would be :
marry a white girl , get ur papers, then start searchjng for women back home;, do traditional wedding; then divorce the white girl; then marry the black wife and then bring her over.
However, you said he gets heart attack; that might be another angle, his people might have told him that with such a condition, if he dies, that might be the wnd of his linage as rhe white girl will ( stereotypically) elude with his child. So it could be he is now listening to them and their archaic reasoning.
Now, before I proceed,; are you a wifee material ?
Do you really think a man would want to spend the rest of his life with you? -
I know its a bit harsh, but sincerely some girls are as fat as a jumbo plane, stink as high as hindu onions and garlic mixture, and ugly as a motherfuxker . Such women, whom has been rejected and dejected by their own, only to be sweep up by this desperate immigrants, ( though many blacks geniunely like big white girls). Such girl should be rest assured that if they dont make effort to improve themselves; lose weight, clean out , and learn to ride the D, and improve their finances , THE MAN WILL LEAVE HER AT A POINT. Child/children /no children .
Hopefully, you are not in that class, right?
Now, looking at the issue on another lens , his side, his defence. Very good point on the extinction of his lineage if he dies.. I had to get in a "fight"with someone - a friend of a friend who told me that my lineage would be over if I had only girls, I told him I rather have girls like Okonjo Iweala/Shola Borha/Akunyili than a male like him. He got angry and wanted leave. |

A man gets to certain age and feels a need for a wife either u have much or little. getting married late is much prevalent in cities esp Lagos where ppl have high taste coupled wt bogus societal expectations. Money is a huge factor in marriage.. It serves as fuel that powers your vehicle... Don't be Naive! I have friends and families who said the same thing, but this time of year they are ringing people's phone off the hook seeking for assistance to help their families.. Kids cost money is a discussion most Nigerians don't want to discuss, that's why most folks are having many kids they cannot provide for.. "It's God that gives kids" |

I'm neither a fan of OBJ nor GEJ. GEJ lost a huge political capital when he alienated his base-- masses and opposition that demonstrated against the cabals like OBJ and co. I expected GEJ's response. To contain some hard facts and numbers.. Number of attacks by MEND and BH during OBJ and how the number has dropped. Amount of crude oil theft during OBJ and the amount now. Number of prosecutions won by EFCC during OBJ vs GEJ won.. How many politicians prosecuted by OBJ vs GEJ.. All I see here in this response is " we are working". The only 2 paragraphs he trumpeted his achievements: FDI and UN Security Council.. How about daily lives of Nigerians.. This Naija mentality of " the country was fkucked beforeI became president" therefore, don't expect anything better is going to lead us nowhere |

After the renaming gimmick, he will jump into their brand new mercedes, wear their Amani suit and drink their crystal champagne for dinner. Who is fooling who?
But trust stupid Africans, they will fall for the old tricks of our dictators. Yeah, I remembered Mobutu changing his own name to Seseseko as well to make him ultra African but inflicted an un-mending damage to Africa forever. Can Mugabe build his own plane? What was the purpose of inviting her if you had the questions typed out? Is there no communication channel between ministry of finance and the house to send "expo answers" Why did they ask NOI to go back and respond to the questions in writing and then be invited back to response? They have served her EXPO!This is pure political grandstanding! The essence of parliamentary inquiry/invitation is to get unscripted, unrehearsed and untested answers from their respondents and also to see how knowledgeable they are in their chosen fields. Pure nonsense from NASS. Common sense is the scarcest commodity in Naija. |

Why are Naija youths obsessed with marriage but not obsessed with planing the future of their kids? For every story that ends with " started from the bottom, now we are here story" there are millions that are far far worse from where they started. Have u ever wondered why all these kids are roaming the street come from? why they are beggars? Why they are not in school? Why they are hawking? Why they are naked? I have seen a lot of knuckleheads from primary school days, who were up to no good, never obeyed simple instructions; never did their assignments and homework. They tried their hands on a couple of things and failed, then folks will ask them go and get married.. It's going to be very difficult for their kids to make it.. Mind you that a kid that goes to a run down school is going write the same aptitude test with a kid that goes queen's college.. My point is why settle for less when you could have more.. Children are not supposed to help their parents in their struggle, they are supposed to be taken care of. Everyone is not supposed to be like adenuga or Dangote but we owe it to ur kids to provide them with a better future than we had. |

If you can't affect lives positively with 30k, then you can't with 30million naira. The kids here will one day grow up to realize that money is not everything. I'm so happy with my life!
