Wish2Die:Poverty, hunger, pain and suffering are the strongest weapons of control ever known and used by the people in government to subdue their subjects. Anyone who wants to plan an overthrow or coup must have done so with high level of professionalism and discreteness bcuz those he might intend to plot with might just be another set of hungry lots looking for their own opportunity to get a little drop of token from their oppressors just to feed themselves and their families. If you look at how policemen shot at protesters and how the military is doing all they can to serve the people's common enemy, you'll marvel at our callousness as a people. Everybody is suffering and almost suffocating in Nigeria today just bcuz of bad governance yet, some people's father could pick up arms and shoot at protesters who are requesting for a better Nigeria for them and the people shooting them. Is it not pathetic? Bros, let anybody who have ears listen, the workability of the project NIGERIA is nothing but an illusion. Plan a coup and see how the North will rise against any meaningful thing you do as a government. More like they're happy destitutes in their own country. |
Funny con man |
Surprised? Nah! Not anymore. Let us kuku end the whole panel madness. Those of you who asked for probe panel, there you have it. |
See him mouth like thief own. Abi him be thief sef. I have been contemplating on contracting out my website development job to a guy I saw his advert here on Nairaland. His charges are relatively cheap and paying him outrightly is not my fear but I'm afraid he too might just abscond with my money and that's why I've been stalling on the deal since. If you have ever paid someone you met on Nairaland to help you design a website and you got what you paid for, plz help a skeptic. Times are hard now to lose my hard-earned money. |
ObaKlaz:You're right. It's gradually getting back to business as usual but you know what? It's dawn on me that Nigeria might not work out after all, so if anyone desire a better life, his/her best bet is to exit this country. There's no sign of things getting any better |
ivolt:Your point? |
backbone503:You made a good point but how do we different a peaceful protest from the "politically motivated unrest" that you talked about or are we trying to deny people their constitutional right to peacefully assemble to make their voices heard? Is it unconstitutional to demand good governance from government via protest? For crying out loud this is democracy and we should always respect that. I'm not a supporter of violent protest or one which is used to infringe on the rights of others but we all know how this thing works in the western world. Government is supposed to provide security for the protesters but of course I know it doesn't work that way here. Remember how videos of some alledged DSS officials conveyed thugs to disrupt the peaceful protest at Abuja and how a Lag bus conveyed thugs to Alausa. It's interesting that nobody is probing that incidence and infact it's back to business as usual for those concerned. In contrast, we all read how accounts of some youtha were frozen. Is this how to govern aright? 2023 might appear to be around the corner but is life that guaranteed for of us? They're more than a million ways to die or be killed in Nigeria. Is the country doomed? Is it too much to demand for the basic things of life today instead of wait until 2023? This country is in its own class. |
backbone503:This sounds more like a threat. In case you're saying this as an independent/concerned Nigerian, pls refrain from using such words. There's no fear in the face of a dying man... Hope you know. It's only people who have a good life that knows the worth of their life. There's hardship in the land and people are fed up. Some people are actually ready to hit the street no matter what. Let's not overheat the polity with our utterances please. It's been long said that NIGERIA is sitting on a gunpowder but most of you don't know what that means. Our government don't even have the accurate data of Nigeria's unemployed graduates. The number is alarming. Look at the numbers of thugs in Lagos alone that get their daily bread from thuggery act. Consider the number of almajiris that have grown up to become young adults who have nothing tangible doing. Nigeria is walking on a tight thin rope but our government aren't sensitive enough. The day the people realize that power resides with them, that marks the end of the road for politicians. Let's watch what we say please. Government and governed |
ramatintin:Azzin! The fact they supported an opposition means they shouldn't exercise their constitutional right to protest. I mean protest against extra judicial killings. What's wrong with a Blackman's mind plz. I'm finding it difficult to understand the connection between their political affiliations with the current issue of EndSars. Are we saying enough is actually not enough with our SARS officers ni? Or are we saying it's overboard to demand for good governance as Nigerians? I would have bought into this whole plot of discrediting the young men and women if they had shown us how money moved from Atiku's account to these people's account and where they met to discuss the whole protest shit. Enough of all these stupidity from whoever is paying these folks to discredit the protest and protesters. Nobody is talking about the alleged DSS guys that was caught on camera conveying thugs to disrupt the peaceful protest at Abuja. We've also buried the BRT bus that carried thugs to Alausa. Instead, the initiator of the tweet and the op wouldn't stop at anything to shift our focus to past events that have nothing to do with the current issue at hand. More like they're trying to justify the government action for freezing their accounts. |
AMINDA:Just asking ni ooo.... And how come you're privy to these sensitive information? Don't play the OSINT card for me please.... Right from the initiator of the tweet to the OP and about 6 to 8 monikers who commented on the 1st page of thread arouse my strong suspicion. Dear Nairalanders, If you're old enough to follow Fela Anikulapo Ransom Kuti history in his lifetime till death, down to Abiola's story, you'll know how perilous it is to front anything in Nigeria. Unless you have foreign backing, I repeat, dear common Nigerians, do not attempt to ask or demand for your right. Ours is not a sovereign state. It is true you have freedom of speech but YOUR FREEDOM AFTER THE SPEECH IS NOT GUARANTEED. 2face wanted to spearhead Occupy Nigeria but ended up backing out. E get why oooo....! Make una wise up. Their agents are on this forum too and I'm sure the moniker am quoting is one of them. How is it a crime to support a politician during election? Begging for money from atiku wouldn't have been a crime today if that same Atiku won the election.... But bcuz his fellow Fulani man won, we're here today to discuss how a Yoruba man is been questioned for supporting the president's tribesman. |
Mancrossfire:My brother, na over religiousness dem use dey enslave us. All the swearing with Bible and Quran hasn't taken us anywhere in this country. Let's get back to the African root and let's substitute these scriptural books with African metaphysics. Our politicians have turned us to mumu nau bcuz they know God would not strike them immediately. So they're toying with God by swearing with Bible or Quran |
Mancrossfire:If they'll permit me, we actually don't need any juju or charm for them to swear with. All I will ask from them is alligator pepper and 3 bottles of dry gin. Then I will demand for a bucket and ask all their security aides to drop their guns inside the bucket while I pour the alligator pepper and dry gin on top the guns and allow the alligator pepper and gin to ferment for a while. Then each and every one of them should be asked to step forward and drink out of it and say some negative words on themselves if they ever have a hand in the Lekki shooting. Afterwards, we all go home and case closed. The rest is for us to be hearing how stray bullet will be killing some of them even from God knows where location |
tollyboy5:The life video of the Lekki tollgate was claimed to be Photoshopped and pro government apologists say nobody stepped forward to ask for their missing sons/daughters. Here you are again asking for videos when names of victims have been publicized and numbers of the dead has been given. I'm sure when you get the videos or pictures, you'll demand for autopsy on the dead to confirm they're dead. All the best to Nigeria and our roforofo politics. |
I see this government manhandling this whole EndSars wahala all over again. They might be a second wave of the protest with all I'm seeing. |
ArewaWife:Victim was held hostage in Sokoto State, Nigeria. Also remember to note the place the kidnapping took place. He was kidnapped in Niger Republic. The narrative should be very concise and direct. |
emperor863:Hello Nairalanders, Kindly note these moniker and it likes. Na them. Awon political media warriors. |
LegendHero:We don hear you. |
PVision2020:Are you taking side with the murderers or you're trying to justify the gruesome killings? Aren't we in this shit hole together ni? |
DrFunmisticGlow:Read through what I wrote again... Never said the LLC visited any mortuary.... They're the company in charge of Lekki tollgate |
Flier:I read comments like this and I weep for this country. Whoever dies for this country that have your kind as survivors died wrongfully as said by Fela Anikulapo Kuti. Those protesters thought they were doing Nigerians a just cause when they were being gunned down on that unfaithful night. Only for people of your kind to raise and pitch your tent with the oppressors. I shake my head. It is one thing to not support the protest and it's another story entirely to insult the dead by knowingly taking sides with their murderers just to make it seem like "them against us". Truth is that we're all gonna suffer the same fate someday. Death is inevitable. It's just a matter of time, we'll all be gone some day. What would have been more appropriate in this situation is to keep mum or just scroll past the thread. It's callous of anyone to come out to say the Army didn't kill anyone on that night bcuz we all agree that some people sustained gun/bullet injury (at least you agree with the Lagos State governor on that). You equally didn't feel suspicious of the fact that the LLC said they have footage of the whole shootings on the night and the committee said they're not ready to review that yet but went in search of the mortuary first. Is this a plot to give their editors the ample time needed to cut off all the part where bodies were being carried away by the army? It's unfortunate that some youths have to die protesting for you and your families to live a better life in Nigeria and yet, all you could say after their demise is that they were never killed nor were their bodies ever taken away. |
tetralogyfallot:Like seriously if I have that money, we move! Naija don cast. Even the rich are struggling here. |
BOOZELEE:Are you referring to the same OSINT that the Nigerian Army claimed was photoshopped? Are you saying the same videos making the rounds should be considered credible enough for intelligence gathering in the area of investigating brutality on our policemen and not be used in the case of the Lekki tollgate massacre? Unless we restructure Nigeria, I'm sorry the improvements we crave for might be some centuries away. |
thebosstrevor1:Bros, I will rather wallow in this deception and enjoy watching how it unsettles all the unpatriotic Nigerians that hold political offices than be on the other side of the fence and pretend all is well even in the face of obvious realities. |
adioolayi:As much as I try not to trade words with you, it seem like you're so fired up for it. The Nigeria of our dreams is quite different from the Nigeria of our reality. We all crave for a new dawn, in fact, some have fasted and prayed for it. If only God would compromise his standards for Nigerians, we would have planted yam and reap Apples. Wake up boy, your president holds a contestable secondary school certificate while his vice is a professor and a senior advocate. You must be daydreaming or hallucinating to expect anything good from that combo. Nigeria will work the day you start calling a spade by its name. |
adioolayi:You're still stuck with the thought that I have problem with those nominated or the nominees of that committee. Wake up. I'm not bothered about those, my concern is how much will be budgeted for the whole exercise and how large some people are going to benefit from it. Still sleeping on the bicycle? Wake up! |
It's beginning to become a laughing stock. |
Terrible things happening in a terrible country at a terrible time. |
adioolayi:You're doing well. Oooin! Obviously you're still new to the Nigerian political landscape. When reports of how much was budgeted for this panel makes it way to the public and you hear how the said Youth nominee complained bitterly about how he bought bottle water from his purse to attend such meetings, your myopic mind will draw back to my comment here.... obviously you're too shallow minded to see the end before it even begins. |
Like seriously where did the church get all these food items from? And who else saw the woman that left from the wing of those covering the looting and went to help a woman carry her loots on her head? The monster is only just reveling itself. This should send a signal to the ruling class. The day they finish looting the middle class, they're surely going to be the next. |
adioolayi: ... Trust me it's actually funny seeing how reflective of your stup1d1ty your wordings are.I didn't attack anyone. "Someone's gonna walk out stupidly rich" doesn't mean it's got anything to do with the nominees but your height of mumuism will always make it ahead of you. Get well soon. |
Someone is gonna walk out stupidly rich. I fear who no fear Nigerian politician. |
