I had a very good balance in two savings account which i added to support my application. My daughter's visa is ready and my son and i are still waiting and hoping for good news this week. |

I'm not sure how i ended up filling October 2018 instead of July 2018. That's the mistake i made, but on my children's form its July 2018 i filled . I don't know their email address or contact number. if it will help I'm willing to send a mail or make the call. this is an honest mistake . |

I applied for a 2 years visa with my children, we've been to the UK together and i schooled and work there on post study visa for some time before coming home. i don't know why I'm just seeing few mistakes i made in my application right after my biometric.....where they asked have you been to the UK in the last 10 years? i answered yes and put the month and year.......only to realize now that i typed in October 2018 instead of July 2018, this is an honest mistake....we don't stay beyond 4 weeks when we go to the UK so never over stayed i only made a mistake of the month i filled in, funny enough i filled July 2018 for my kids. i haven't been able to think straight, i'm the same person the bank addressed the letter to German Embassy instead of British embassy. 2 years visa money no be beans ooooo....been thinking .....do i need to send any mail ? |
We just got back from the VFS center, and i just saw a mighty mistake made by my bank on the letter they wrote to the embassy. i clearly stated i was applying to the British Embassy, only to check the letter now and it was addressed to German embassy, i guess they edit the letter per customers request and forgot to change it from German to British. I'm very worried and confused now. What can i do? |
Hi , please we are going for our biometric is this week and we will be using the assisted service to submit our documents at the VFS center , my major issue now is i have business MTN mobile money wallet document which is as large as 244 pages if i print it out for 6 months and 150 pages if i print it out for four month. This document is very important and i must submit it as it shows all source of funds to my business, this account is where we receive all payments from customers and same account is used to pay suppliers and workers. I transfer money from this account into my business account daily. Will they be able to scan this at the VFS center . I'm very worried , i already chose assisted service cos I'm not very good at putting documents together . What can i do ? |
Thank so much @cashmadam you're a lifesaver. I appreciate all your response to all my questions here. God richly bless you. |
I'm really confused at the moment, i have submitted 2 years visa applications for i and my children and made payment, but we need to submit this application together and i see flexi appointment ? does this mean we all have to each pay that amount ? 117.20 pounds each? any one with this experience, need response urgently . thanks |
Hi All, need an urgent response as i need to submit our application next week. We are renewing our visit visa. A brief history....studied in the UK in 2010, got a post study visa which expired in 2013, returned back home before visa expired with no issues. 2015 applied for a 6 months visit visa with daughter , Visa granted, visited for 3 weeks and returned. Renewed visa to 2 years visit visa in 2018 for myself and daughter, my son was a baby at the time so applied for a 6 months visit visa for him, visa granted and we travelled for 4 weeks and returned. i personally travelled for 2 weeks for shopping in 2020 just before covid and returned back on time . Its time to renew again for a 2years visit visa for myself and two children, i own my own business which is doing very well.... In my personal account i have about 7400 pounds, after putting our cost together its a total of 2400 pounds for the 3 of us, as much as i try i can't reduce this amount as it will become unrealistic. Cheapest flight is about 1650 pounds for the 3 of us, hotel i booked is 385 pounds for 7 days . I have been reading a lot on this platform about not spending two times your monthly income on a trip and its getting me worried. I'm a business woman and sales are unpredictable , I pay myself about 500k Naira monthly , sometimes 400k will depends on sales, but i have a very simple and straight forward bank statement with good inflow and outflow. I can't do much about this 2400 pounds, its the least i can quote as expense on our visa form and this will leave my personal account with a balance of 5000 pounds. My business account has about 10000 pounds but can't be used as travel money, i have other savings but I don't want anything that will confuse the VO .......my husbands account is not very straight forward so i don't even want to use him as a co sponsor for this application....i have always presented just my bank statement for all previous visas. clearly i will be spending 4 times my stated income......been thinking a lot about this.....what can i do ? |
Hi , I'm back again with my questions. I'm travelling with my kids (2) to visit two siblings with PR. I have lived in the UK as a student and visited UK with kids too. I will be sponsoring the entire trip to Canada, but the flight ticket is quite high for myself and my kids. I can afford to pay without any issues but the reality is that the amount i stated we will be spending on the trip after putting all expense together on our visa form is like half of the money in my savings account. ........balance in my account is 3.9 million if converted to Naira . . i don't know if this can affect my application . Imy business account has constant in flow which has a balance of 4.5 million Naira, i will add both personal and business account to this application. My parents will also be travelling as its a family holiday to reunite with my siblings we haven't seen them since 2019. question: Can my father sponsor part of the trip with a letter stating he will purchase our flight ticket ? or my sister in Canada should be the one sponsor part of the trip? or i just sponsor the trip as i already planned to do? I feel I'm old enough to support myself but will it be a problem if half of my savings is spent on the trip as per what i filled in the visa form. I'm yet to submit so really thinking of the best way to present this to a visa officer without issues . please help a sister , need urgent response . |
Hi all, Please how do i fill the income and expenditure part on the visa form for my children ? How much are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK?.....when i type 0 I'm unable to save, I'm paying for them. What's the total amount you spend each month? not sure what response to fill for a child? should i write total amount we plan to spend on the trip and explain in the additional info section ? |

Hi , please i need help with something bordering me. I'm applying for visit visa with my children, we plan to visit my siblings who have PR in Canada , i have travelled with my kids on summer holiday to UK twice . what will be the strong ties for children below 10 years when applying for a family visit visa ? i have requested for letter of verification of enrollment from their school . Please what else do i add to make our application sucessful especially my kids i don't want any refusal ? |
Hi, please i'm filling the visit visa form for myself and kids , how do i apply? when i applied some years back i applied using one account . on this new platform im not seeing add another applicant, urgently need help on how to go about it, i'm not done filling my form though. |
Hi Gurus, Thank so much for all that you do on this platform, helping us find answers to so many questions on our minds. I have two siblings in Canada with Permanent Residency . I 'm married with two kids and i live with Hubby in Ghana. I did my Masters in the UK, stayed for two years on post study visa and returned back home before visa expired . I have been to the UK several times after this with my kids on tourist visa . I have been to the USA once for a conference while studying in the UK, i have also been refused USA Visa in the past which i will declare in this application I have been to Dublin on Tourist visa as well while studying in the UK. I' run my own business and doing very well. My Sibling are inviting I and my kids for summer holiday but we will be booking an Airbnb or hotel accommodation. please is this right ?or we have to stay with them? My sister stays with her partner while my brother stays in a small apartment . do family have to stay with relatives in Canada when invited to CANADA on Tourist visa or we can stay in the hotel? question 2 ...Please how do i answer this session....How much money do you have for your stay in Canada? (In Canadian dollars - CAD)? please does this include flight ticket or just expenses within Canada eg feeding, accommodation, transport within Canada etc. ? thanks so much in Advance |
Hi Gurus, Another question . I have lived in the UK as a student , also On post study visa and visited UK twice after this on both 6 months and 2 years visa with kids and stayed for a short holiday and returned back . First visit visa as a tourist and second visit visa for brothers graduation. I’m applying again with my kids , I’m sponsoring the entire trip but my budget seem to be high, 2500 pounds which includes Accommodation, flight and other expenses , we will stay for 2 weeks. I pay myself 500k monthly and transfer this into my savings from my business account . my business makes more than this and I could pay myself More but I decided to maintain 500k . I have about 6.5 million Naira in my savings account , about 7 million in business account but obviously my savings account is where I plan to use money for the trip . I live in Ghana with my family , so amount stated is the equivalent of cedis to Naira . I’m a sole proprietor , I own an online business that makes a lot of sales monthly with evidence of all transactions I.e receipt ,invoices Payment , clients order like messages on WhatsApp etc , i have evidence and picture of my business and products which I submitted in my previous applications. I honestly don’t know how to reduce this budget as it becomes unrealistic. I have tried to reduce it and that’s the lowest I can go . What do I do ? I need a response urgently. |
Hi to all the gurus in the house I need your help urgently….. a quick response will be appreciated . I’m planning to apply for a 2 year UK visit visa . I did my masters in the UK in 2010/11 , stayed in UK for 2 extra years under the post study visa . Came back home , Applied for a visit visa in 2015 for 6 month with my daughter , visa was granted . Applied for another 2 years visa with my daughter and a 6 month visa for my son who was a baby at the time and all got it . I want to apply for another 2 years visa for myself and 2 kids. I really don’t know how to fill the Address section , the question on if you own the house or rent the house you currently live in ? The house I currently stay with my husband and 2 kids is one out of many of my parents properties, so belongs to my parents ,we don’t own it , neither do we pay rent for it, it’s a family property . We stay in it alone. I can get access to the house papers which as my parents name and submit it as part of my application. But my only worry is how to answer this section Since we neither rent or own it . I want to be as honest as possible but this sound reasonable to the visa officer . |
Hello ALL, posted yesterday about paying for priority and not getting any update. I applied with my son and daughter . And we All got our 2 years multiple entry. . Got a mail yesterday from Croydon visa section that our passport has been dispatched and also got a mail from tls that it’s ready for collection today . Went to pick up and it was granted . I noticed tls doesn’t update on time thought . Best of luck to those still waiting |

Hi Gurus , i intend visiting UK with my kids for my brothers PHD graduation. what type of visa options should i select... Family or Tourism? we intend applying for two years visit visa. i have been to the UK before, did my MSC in the uk and also visited once in 2015 with my daughter. my son hasn't been before cos he wasn't born then. does he qualify for a 2 years visit visa too? another question is that my parents are also attending the graduation and they have booked a big family accommodation for all of us and they will be paying . it means our accommodation is sorted. will this be an issue? I'm married and i have my own company and can afford the entire trip but once my parents have booked a family accommodation i see no reason to book another. how do i proof this in my application that they are sponsoring accommodation and what supporting document do i need to show . im the one paying for the flight and living expense in the uk. |

hi justwise and everyone in the house...i need urgent advise and opinion on this issus....note im a ghanaian i invited my hushand to vist me in the uk, and he was refused....the decision states: the decision: you state that you will finance your intended travel to the uk and have submitted 2 bankstatements in support of this. i note that the barclays bank statement you have submitted is in your company name, and has a closing balance of ghs2771.70 (£923.90 based on £1= ghs3.00). you have also submitted a personal zenith bank statement that shows a closing balance as on 23-7-2012 of ghs999.61 (£333.17).you business account shows a closing balance as on 27-04-12, as this was over 2months prior to your application, i cannot be satisfied that it shows the most recent state of your business finances. i'm therefore unable to be satisfied that there are sufficient funds in this account to cover your flight. regarding your personal account, with a return ticket to the uk csting on average £800.00 (ghs 2400.00) there are insufficient funds to cover the cost of the flight. therefore i am not satisfied that you can support and accomodate yourself and also meet the cost of onward travel from the uk given the above, i am not satisfied that you are genuinely seeking entry to the uk as a visitor for lesss than 6monts who intened to leave the uk ot that can suppot and accomodate yourself and meet the cost of onward travel from the uk as required by paragraph 41(i) (ii) (vi) and (vii) of hc395. i have therefore refused your appliation because iam not satisfied on the balance of probabilities, that you meet ll of the requirements of the relelvant paragraph of the unitedkingdom immigration rules. please justwise and all points to note: he has been given a right to appeal against this deision under section 82(1) of nationality, immigraion and asylum act 2002. he submitted a 3months bank statement of his barclay bank account which is his business account starting from 1st april 2012 and ends in june 29 2012 with closing balance of over £3600... this was just weeks prior to application and officer claims he only saw statement of 2months prior to aplication....application was 27th of july 2012. from what the visa officer has written he claims he only saw an april statement that shows a closing balance on 27-04-2012 meaning he failed to go through my husbands company bank statement carefully and he claims the company bank statement my husband sumitted was over 2months prior to my his visa application so he is not satisfied it shows my husbands most recent state of business finance and he is not satified there are sufficient funds in the business account to cover cost of his flight ( note 3months statement was submitted ending june 2012). also note my husbands business account runs and operates very well because money goes in and out as he runs his business. i don't know how the officer was blind to see is statement for may and june and he claims he can see just april closing balance which as at end of april had just £923 as clsoing balance... well we still have the bank statement my husband applied with cos the same officer return them. officer saw his personal bank statement which closing balance as on 23-07-12 was just £333.17. he based his decision on this as he didnt see the other bank statement. i dont know why the officer didnt check carefully before making his decision. please also note i had boldly indicated in my invitation letter that i was going to be able to accomdate him throughout the duraton of his stay and i even attached my rent agreement. so i dont know why visa officer claims he can't accomodate himself. he seem to ignore documents and didnt go trhough them at all. my questions: what do we do next because this decision was made on the 31st of august 2012 and we have got just 28days to send in the appeal. we want to do the written appeal but i don't know how to go about it. im in uk and he is in ghana. i know we can either send it in to the tribunal in uk or to the embassy in ghana, but which is the quickest and do we need to get a lawyer in ghana or in the uk. im so confused right now and i need people who know to please advise us on the process to go about it. |
