You don't know jack. A lot of you are too young to be commenting on Yoruba politics. Yoruba politics was already developed when people like Tinubu and Obj were still in primary school. The Oyos are the real non conformists. The subset of Oyo people called Ogbomoshos are the real fire crackers. Egbas are highly independent. Ondo are aggressive personally but politically docile same for Ekiti, otherwise Fayose won't be governor

GEJ said that Nigerians will thank him when he is no longer in power and it's true.
@OP, has Buhari laid any railway track ?
Thank GEJ instead.
IGNORANCE is thinking there was no railway in Nigeria before Jonathan came. Jonathan's impact on the railway system in Nigeria is less than 5%. A lot of the noise was just LIES.
There was a railway network of thousands of miles BEFORE Nigeria was even founded . The youth of this country have been lied to too many times and they just stupidly absorb it .
These cattle from Zamfara is neither Buhari or Jonathan's doing. The man to thank is a half educated but tough leader guy called Lord Lguard

Politics › Re: Recession~ What Is APC Long Term And Short Term Economic Policy? by Adminisher: 3:37pm On Sep 03, 2016
It is very STUPID to be asking about policy.
The policy is clear in the budget and MTEF. It is discernible in the import ban. There have been many press conferences on it.

I have come to the conclusion that Nigerians left within Nigeria are the dumbest black people in the world. All the stars have left the country. Everybody is just shallow and dumb and trying to hide it by using meaningless expression.

Asking for economic policy at this time is like asking a woman having sex with her boyfriend what style she likes. The style is already on display.

If the economic policy is useful to you, send me your business idea I will do a feasibility study for you based on current ONGOING policy and how it might affect it.

How can a whole country of 170million people have such a low IQ ?. Can't they think. Restructuring is the last thing we need now. Nobody who knows what is going on in government would ever support it for now.
The most annoying thing is that it is not even Buhari's job to restructure Nigeria . A few elections losers are just going mental over nothing. Nigeria is in dire straits financially and we won't restructure until a lot of things are in place.

All this is rubbish. You guys are supposed to be young yet they have heaped the load of the past and you are carrying it like the slaves your mind has turned you to.

There is no need to break up Nigeria and restructuring will happen at its own time. The world is fully globalised so ethnic nationalities are just a phantom. They are even slowing people down. Facebook owner just came to Nigeria. Do you know his nationality?. He is American but his name is Zuckerberg. Do you think he gives a rat ass for the German or Austrian town his great grandfather came from?

The world will change in the next few years in drastic ways such that all these rubbish talk will be come irrelevant.

Read, develop yourself, learn a globally sellable skill, invest, travel, live full and pray. That is the way.

You have just poisoned the thread by mentioning Biafra. It is now meaningless to contribute.
The funny thing is all manner of restructuring of Nigeria are possible when you don't inject that failed evil entity that has caused so much unnecessary destruction to its people and Nigeria
Let us do an experiment, continue shouting Biafra and wait another 300 years and there won't be restructuring.

Bill Clinton and Obama have not joined the fray heavily yet and the most damaging adds against Trump have not been released yet.

People whose average budget performance while in power was 15 percent. Nigeria is in trouble with this quality of opposition.

If Nigerian did not stand against insensitive and incompetence of those managing our economy we are heading to there so the prediction of USA that put APC government will come to pass .
Shut your mouth about incompetence. You won't know incompetence if it jumped from a moving vehicle to wallop you in the face.

Some other government inherited surpluses of 35bn US dollars, made 100 dollars a barrel everyday for six years and returned this trash of a country to you, you did not complain and you are talking competence.
Do you even know what an economy is?
Do you know what drives it?
How many of the things that drive an economy did the last administration improve?
So opease SHUT your mouth and humble yourself.

Do you even have light at home? .
If so, thank God. That is just 6000MW built after spending 20 billion dollars.
You are finished and you don't know it.
Do you have fuel to run he generat or?. Good. That was 1billion dollars every month importing it with all four refineries in Nigeria killed.
They have finished your generation and the man who was President then not even half aware of it.

If you refuse to face HARD TRUTH about the past you will repeat its mistakes and wreck your life.
What book is it written that you must always cowardly hide from the truth or refuse to call a spade a spade in order to succeed?.

The economic problem of Nigeria has already been solved by Buhari . The setback from the Niger Delta is 300 million dollars every month. If we had that coming, maybe things would have been better.
However, the main structural issues have bern cleared with fuel subsidy removal and floating of the Naira.
All that remains is PRAYERS, TIME itself and hard WORK. If we do innovatiOn technology and efficiency improvement we can even improve on the time it takes.

Gbam. I keep telling people Oil is marginal to our GDP output and we really don't get access to it directly. How many Nigerians really work in that sector? Money we make from international remittances is fantastic. About 20$ billion a year. That is raw cash passing through our economy which was d biggest supply of money in the black market. That stabilized the economy to a great deal. Yet, Buhari scattered and confused the entire monetary policy thereby messing up that source. Our entire annual budget is 20$ billion so remittances was a big deal. GEJ allowed every business to mind their business. Buhari wants everything to pass through federal which is how he messed up d policy. He wants ur families hard earned dollars to go to the federal government. Doesn't make sense. So many other misteps. But our problem is not oil decline. Of has turned to an excuse for more corruption.
The idiotic thing about your post is that Nigeria's monetary policy is not different from 75 percent of all the countries in the world that are free market. It is actually edgier than the UK not to talk of many European countries .
You are just speaking big English for nothing.
We have devalued the Naira and done something to the interest rates so foreign money will come in . It is a waiting game. I use not less than six systems for transferring money to Nigeria and all the rates have improved considerably close to black market rates in the last three months.
We need to stop this stupid smug attitude of poo pooing our country because oil market fell and we corruptly wrecked ourselves. We can build it back if we work hard , innovate and stop stealing as a culture.

In tue Naira value, if you are knowledge - able enough, the real reason Naira fell recently was because of Niger Delta pipeline bombing against the outflow for forex backing for Dangote refinery, defence equipment, especially airforce jets and counterpart funding for projects with China.
All very temporary. Nigeria's economy will improve this quarter.

Death should now await any community that harbours eco-terrorists of any hue. They should be levelled completely. Any terrorists caught should not be spared the most horrific torture. The Jonathan that inspired the attacks should also be kept under security watch. Any suspicious call or meeting should provoke immediate arrest. He should explain why Nigeria that honoured him with high offices in spite of his modest abilities should be visited with economic sabotage from an ex President no less

Please Buhari is not constructing this road. It is infrastructure. It should go on whatever party or individual is in power. Let us stop over personalising basic development that should be a right. This cluelessness and immaturity on reporting road construction and other items of infrastructure started during the Jonathan era but should now stop.
Buhari is not building any road. Fed Min of Works is... based on budget approved by people we voted into the legislature and we are paying for it through our taxes.

I love this quote...
I pity you. You have not removed your mouth from Jonathan 's yansh. You better get your mind off mediocrity and emancipate yourself. The way you start is admitting the truth no matter how bitter.
That man was Nigeria's worst President. Even his wife knew it that was why she took 'charge' during Chibok problem. Under Jonathan, Nigeria WASTED every opportunity. In his last months ships carrying rice and palm oil were coming into Nigeria. Palm Oil !!!!
Obj spent 12 billion dollars on power and Jonathan added another 8 billion dollars. Between them they generated 5000 MW of gas fired power which his under emancipated tribalism cursed brothers are still undermining.
All refinery projects during Jonathan were sabotaged because his unpatriotic Ibo masters and his Ibo women supervisors had to keep importing fuel .
The idiot went back home and admitted that he did not do anything for his people and the perpetually drunk excuse of human beings took him back.

With Jonathan . It is clear. Look at his face. That is what failure looks like.

Na wao, some people no dey sleep at all, seat with their phone for 24hrs, and they will be the first to criticise PMB, Lazy people expecting magic all the time.

Almost all the faceless people i met on this forum, judging by their comment, there are no future leader.

This is the reason why the country continue to recycle old men. A leader can easily be identified and found, not imposed on people.
There is no culture or institution for breeding good leadership in Nigeria. Everybody is lazy, corrupt and expecting magic
TheRe is no passion for excellence or endurance or love of positive exertion in the youths. Christians call it joyful effort.
Every young person in Nigeria is looking for ready made sucess handed to him with silver tray. They prefer to be "boys" to politicians yet they complain that the old soldiers are bring recycled. I personally can smell a bad leader or a fool in 5 mins of conversation .
I have rated good public service leadership in Nigeria and this is my table , current and ex governors included ;

Awo
Murtala Muhammed
Buhari/Idiagbon
El Rufai
Samuel Mbakwe
Audu Ogbeh
Ogbonaya Onu
Olusegun Obasanjo
Melford Okilo
Fashola
Tinubu
Kwankwaso
Ayade
Amosu
Obi
Obiano
Diete Spiff

If you don't know some of the names on this list, no apologies. You are just too young.

Some random truths arranged in no particular order:

The worst leaders Nigeria (President and Govs) ever had were Shagari, Goodluck Jonathan, Odilli and Abacha.
Abacha was better than the other two in terms of leadership skills but his blood thirstiness and over reaction to opposition spoilt everything. Odilli had talent but extremely selfish and corrupt.

Shagari and Jonathan should never ever have been made President - they were weak and confused throughout their terms.
Igbinedion, Orji, and all the PDP middle belt governors under Jonathan were the worst governors in Nigeria ever.
Igbinedion in particular not only had ZERO leadership skills, his IQ was also below average.

Odilli was probably the most corrupt governor in any third world country on earth yet he had more leadership talent than most Nigerian leaders you compare him with. Just a spoilt , evil man who wasted good talent.

Shonekan did a lot quietly for the Nigerian economy but was cut too short in office by Abacha.

The IBOs don't encourage good leadership. Their culture in politics is too selfish, materialistic, cultic and exclusive. It is very difficult for that region to bring good materials into the political class. They should stick to trading and quick returns manufacturing

The Cross Rivers/Akwa Ibom axes has the most creative, hardworking and progressive Nigerians in public service, Every assignment they are given locally or nationally is always executed to first class standards. The examples are many- Isong, Ani, Duke, Ayade, Udoma, etc, c. So many more. Even now, Buhari works better and trust the Minister of National Planning and Budget than any other.

The Niger Delta has very counter progressive culture. They are extremely lazy, weak minded, emotional, sentimental and are not capable of the discipline and endurance necessary for success. They have short term view of life and are not viable as a people.

The North is the most retrogressive Nigerian region. Lazy politicians with feelings of entitlement, too exclusive of millions of their people who they call Almajiris. Institutionalised corruption and nepotism. Buhari has a great deal of work to DO to prepare the region for the 21st century. It has nothing to do with religion- Dubai and most of UAE is ready for 2 1st century. Turkey is already there . Iran and Pakistan are moving fast.

Anyway, an illiterate daft can't be compared to an educated intelligent person.
Yes Obama did. Many many times.
He blamed Bush for 1 trillion dollars Iraqi war. Obama was abused ten times more than Jonathan or Buhari for the state of the US economy by the republicans and he replied with criticisms of Bush and his father.

This is just the point knowledgeable people are making. The Nigerian economy is NOT getting worse day by day. It is ignorance that is making you say this.
Maybe you don't have the experience or knowledge of modern production and service networks

The effect of any improvement is not immediate. It is not black magic . If you put an input into an improvement process you have to WAIT.

Nigerians have to get out of the STUPIDITY business.
Everything good takes time from prayers, to establishing a business, to re engineering a business, to diversifying an economy. Only Evil or destruction is immediate.

The major reason white supremacists look down on Africans is that we have a lovely for immediate gratification , just a little higher than animals . We need to change our mindset

The ND militants blowing pipes get immediate joyful gratification from it but the poverty will last at least 7 years.

FIRS is generating more revenue for the FG, even surpasses Crude Oil Revenue first Time in the History of Nigeria.

Introduction of TSA exposed some corrupt Ministries and as well boost the National Coffer!

Introduction of BVN also helped to discover ghost Workers across the Country!

Boko-Haram Sect has been crushed and will become a History soon!

Gradually, local Rice is gaining more attention and patronage!

Crocodile just smiles in the Niger Delta Creek and the NDA sharply give up on their selfish Struggles!

The Government is working..... slowly but surely we shall all enjoy the CHANGE we envisage and voted for!

God Bless PMB/PYO
God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria!
Believe me, in our lifetime and before the very eyes of Nigerians, Buhari will bring security, diversify the economy and even bring about the so called restructuring. The shame that will come to PDP supporters will be nothing compared to the pain that a lot of their favourite politicians will also be forced out of the world stage. Nigeria currently has concurrent support of the US, China, Germany, the UK and even Russia. Corruption is being tackled and the only place to go is UP
