Totally agree with your submission.
The sum total of Ben Bruce point was:
1 Nigeria had NO economy before but a structure of PATRONAGE coming from the FG
2. The banking sector was FAKERY. All the banks were on feeding bottle of high oil prices and we should have left it to continue.
3. When you put FG money in commercial banks it will earn interest instead of doing what it should do so it is no wonder that budget performance was 15 %.

I am happy we REMOVED Goodluck Jonathan. That man was lacking the courage to transform Nigeria. He was weak and corrupt which was sad because the first Niger Delta, non military, Non northerner, academic president of Nigeria was supposed to be the CHANGE but corruption and avarice destroyed his destiny

Next time we'll start asking politicians the right questions especially the dull ones like sai BABA.

It's very vexing that an economy that was growing at roughly 6 percent year on year suddenly sank into recession in just over a year of PMB's presidency and some big fools will still open their gutter mouth and blame GEJ.

GEJ and Dasuki are responsible, they "ATED" the 95%.

May God give us the grace to forgive the millions of zombies that voted for this recession.
It is because Jonathan is not in prison yet that you have the nerve to post this. You guys have no sense of reason. It was not a mistake that turned Nigeria to this .
It was a practice and culture of looting, senseless lack of investments in value adding things, executive cluelessness and misery management of internal crises like BoKo Haram and Niger Delta ..

Jonathan is not just the worst President Nigeria ever had, he is also likely one if the worst in Africa for sheer lack of vision and sense of history

US created internet with the help of Chinese brains. China today is technologically stronger if compared to US.
I beg your pardon?. The Internet is a British man's creation expanded, deepened and standardised by the US. There is no other country in the world that comes close to the US. Ordinary Facebook, Amazon, Twitter, Apple and other private entities data centers alone is unbelievable capacity to spy on the whole world. The NSA is an amazingly rich and powerful cyber intelligence organization.

All the noise about Russian hacking of Hillary's email is plot within plot of intelligence agencies. The Russian government itself did not hack but a group of Russian young wiz kids maintained by FSB (KGB). The hacking was known immediately and the report kept away from the public, why?. Maybe because hackers can be hacked and that was going on secretly.

I rate capabilities like this out of 100. US - 50, China - 25, Russia 10, Europe - 10, Others -5 .

This is a truly ignorant statement even the most ardent anti- US fanatic will not utter.
China and Russia are merely developing countries trying to catch up. The US created the internet and have the biggest software and hard ware firms in the world and the best IT minds too.
70% of the advancement in Cyber technology in this world was made on US soil or in collaboration with america.
Who invented hacking?. The US NSA budget alone is more than Russian defence budget. There are orders of magnitude difference between the capabilities of the US and the rest of the world when it comes to cyber intelligence

My sister...you couldn't have said it any better. The events of the 2015 elections from the campaign phase to the handover and present administration phase has taught me a very big lesson in life which is, "When you are hated and people fight you and say all manner of things against you, don't fight back but allow time and posterity to be the judge."
This is the point. One year time frame is not posterity. Nigeria is a childish country because greater than 70 percent of the population is under 40. This is why people are impatient for things to unfold before claiming pyrrhuc results.

Believe me you don't understand posterity and karma .
It is usually in multiples of 7 years. The damage Jonathan did will hit the generations it will impact very soon

Awo's strides in free education for the SW was only beginning to be felt only in the 70s and it has affected already two generations. The grandchildren of the products of free education are now globalised citizens of the world settling in the US and UK and sending a good portion of hhe $20bn diaspora money home.

We will see the effects of what Jonathan did or did not do for his people and Nigeria soon and it will be suffering or bliss but not photo opp.

Don't sweat it my sister, Tramp ain't winning. Americans are too sophisticated to elect a Bigot as a President. We have seen this before . There is no way of him getting 270 Electoral Votes looking at the battle ground States. It's good for the media to make it look like it is going to be a close election. That's more money for the media.
I predict Clinton 320 Electoral Votes, Trump less than 200. Libertarians are going to garner some electors .

CSTR2:
Russia is a developing shitthole with the highest level of wealth and income inequality in the world. No amount of white-washing will change that.
Their agricultural sector is nothing to write home about compared to the united states. The US probably makes more from corn exports alone than Russia makes from its own agricultural sector.
Infact, the only reason this ruskies are taken seriously at all is their Nuclear deterrence and their surprisingly impressive military technology, an unusual feat for a near third-worldish nation like russia . Because when it comes to Economy, standard of living. education, and infrastructure, it is a big Russian zero.
Russia is not a very efficient country in spite of its high level of technology development. Compared with China in many sectors, they should actually be getting worried.

IF WE ARE EVER SERIOUS IN THIS COUNTRY, THEN THE NIGERIAN GOVT SHOULD AS A MATTER OF URGENCY CONVENED A COMMITTEE OR COMMISSION OF ENQUIRY TO INVESTIGATE WHY THE SOLDIERS WERE NOT ON LIFE JACKET WHEN ENTERING RIVERINE AREAS. WHY DO WE PLACE LESS VALUE ON THE LIFE OF OUR NATIONAL HEROES. I AM SURE THAT IF IT IS A HIGH GOVT FUNCTIONARY THAT IS GOING TO THOSE AREA, HE WOULD HAVE BEEN GIVEN ALL NECESSARY FACILITIES TO ENSURE THAT THE JOURNEY IS SAFE. RIP TO THE POOR SOLDIERS.
Your mind is vlose yo the the truth about the incident and you are not saying it.

The soldiers were on an unauthorised trip. This is not a NA boat they were travelling in. No NA boat is underpowered. Indeed the fact that civilians were witnesses to it and tried done rescue confirms it. They left their posts without permission and commandeered a boat for a trip to Yenagoa. Might even very well be woman related trip or assignation.

You are too ignorant to know when an economy is being ruined. In fact the people who ruined your future have left office. Economies are ruined during years if boom.
Jonathan not only ruined the economy for your generation during a period of boom, he probably took your children's future with it. Wrong choices, putting the interests of some idle billionaires above the masses, stealing of security funds, messing up tax collection , encouraging indolence and insecurity in the Niger Delta, rampant corruption, unbridled importation ...the list is long

I want Donald Trump to Win because he's the lesser of two evils .Donald Trump is a true patriotic American who says it like it is and who deserves to be the president out of the two candidates. Bill Clinton was a good president ,but his wife is not him. I'm sick of liberals and their stvpid destructive policies on society. I'm neither liberal nor conservative .My ideology is middle ground and borders around progressive conservative. Too much conservatism is bad,and too much liberalism is also bad.

I don't give a damn about Russia, but I think Putin has an amiable personality, and is fragile than most people would imagine. Obama is a nice guy ,but not a good American President. He would do better working for a humanitarian organization or as a diplomat .
Trump is a dementia ravaged spoilt business man. He does not say it like it is. Actually he does not even know it as it is. He is ignorant of issues and he oversimplifies childishly.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Angola Sacks Finance Boss Due To Economic Crisis Caused By Sinking Oil Prices by Adminisher:
It is very IDIOTIC to sack your finance minister when you have a full blown crisis. The policy mistakes and mismanagement that cause economic crisis are usually during periods of boom.

Unless if this Minister was the Minister on seat when oil was $124 barrels, it is foolish to sack him . We have already sacked the government of Jonathan that caused our own economic crisis.

Politics › Re: Nigerians Rate Buhari Poor In Economic Management – Vanguard Poll by Adminisher: 4:37pm On Sep 05, 2016
This is the STUPIDEST poll ever. It is a poll of performance rather than ability or strategy. Buhari HIMSELF rates his current performance on the economy LOW because the measures put in place have not yielded results. Since the results are expected
in 2017/2018, it is not surprising. So the poll is low IQ all the way. A student who is going to score a has not passed until he has taken the exams. You cannot gauge a harvest while the crops are still in the ground.

Nigeria is trying to beat recession by borrowing and SPENDING on infrastructure but militants have cut FG earnings by 30% and security expenditure is killing other sectors.

Also the whole business of using the word "economic management " is funny. Was Nigeria managing it's economy well since independence?. The answer is NO. Oil prices have been high in cycles of 7 years and we gave spent and wasted money when the price went up. There has never been economic management in Nigeria before Buhari's first regime and later OBJ's first term.

Nigeria is an inefficient and corrupt culture of patronage designed for a rulling class that alternated between the military and civilians. No economic management was ever done because very few members of the rolling class apart from Buhari and a few others ever cared about the masses

Kpele. It's a sad reality we wake up to face everyday. It's most painful that our leaders think differently playing dangerous politics with us.

This administration lacked and still lacks an economic insight into solving the economic problems especially making unrealistic promises during the campaigns.

I am positively sure we will get through this phase but only hope that as youths we would have learnt to look deeply through our politicians to use our votes wisely.

My broda, what doesn't kill you will only make you stronger.
You need to stop embarrassing yourself. There is no special economic insight. The oil price crashed, we did not prepare and we are in trouble. The FG is doing exactly what it should be doing. Exactly what any good government should do. There is no insight or economic black magic that will reduce the time needed for improvement to happen.

There is no artifice that will protect you from hard work and innovation to make it in life . Let us stop deceiving ourselves and face reality. On s personal level, farming is a good option, small scale manufacturing is a good option or looking for work abroad.
