Phaytie: Good morning nairalanders.
Please, permit me to ask an abstract question,......pls, how does one deal with a mum who is skeptical about her single daughter leaving Nigeria to Canada. On grounds that the said daughter is not married, and needs to get married in Nigeria first, because she may not find a good Nigerian man to settle with in Canada and she is getting older (even when the daughter in question has no current relationship that could lead to marriage). And the mum also thinks that life abroad is not as easy as Nigerians think it is, coupled with the financial requirements for the express entry been expensive.
Pls, for those who have idea of these things, or are in Canada, how easy is it to find a bearing, and start life, career and otherwise, especially for a single lady who knows no one in Canny, except a cousin to her friend, who she has never met. What are your opinions? The lady has already began the process, ECA in progress, and IELTS soon. She should continue with the process. Mummy ma wa alright. She shouldn't spend all her time convincing mum. Mum is only worried as a mother. All her worries are unfounded. |

Fidesa: Hello house,
Trust we are all doing great.
Quick question:
A family member is going to give me my POF which will be backed by a gift deed and notarized (just so that i can have rest of mind). Now, i wondering which will be best to keep it between Tbills and fixed deposit. Can someone just advise me on which option is better, with reasons explained.
Ps: My score is 468 and i'm patiently waiting for the next draw, meanwhile i am already gathering my documents ahead, that is why i need some advise on the POF. Thanks. Money Market Fund. You earn your interest daily and you can liquidate at anytime with no penalty whatsoever. |

teechedah: What of if they asked a question I did not know, can someone tell them you don't know the answer? In addition to LadyMarshall's note, I'll suggest you practise well before the test date. You can also check for frequent speaking topics. This will help you to know what to expect and the right vocabularies to use. Note, I don't mean big grammar/words, but the right and appropriate words for the subject matter. Ieltsliz will be helpful. |

Please NOC/ Work experience gurus should help with answers:
She's creating an Express Entry profile. Here's the question: For the *OCCUPATION SECTION* of my profile, please I'd need some help as to what I should include. My background is in Petroleum Engineering (Sept 2009 - April 2014). During youth service, I was posted to a secondary school to teach (August 2014 - July 2015). After which I started a job as a Network Engineer with a Telecommunication Company (Jan 2016 - March 2017), this is more like an industry change based on what I understand from the immigration website. Now that I have a master's degree in Oil and Gas and would like to continue in this industry (i.e. on my Canada profile), what do you advise that I fill in the place of experience? |

Guys, here you have it, the secret we've all been looking for. Finally, we can all age backwards and get better scores!
Yes, you stand a chance brother. Just read page 1 and you'll see how easy it is.
If you can age backwards, this journey shouldn't be a problem for you at all! Lolz...I think he meant "spouse will be 30". He omitted the word spouse IMO. You guys are hilarious |
