GAZZUZZ: In response to the removal of PMS subsidy.
I have installed an LPG/CNG carburettor that also works with PMS (petrol)
Kindly note
Fuel tank emptied via the supply hose .
Scale set to measure lpg as it is consumed in KG
1L of fuel measured out into a gallon and will be poured into gen.
Same amount of load will be applied in both instances .
Timer set to zero.
I will start with LPG.... Will run for 1KG and I will turn it off once it hits 1kg on the scale the mark the time.
Next will be petrol PMS, it will also run for 1L then I will mark the amount of time it took before gen went off.
1kg of gas = ₦650 (June 12 2023)
1L of petrol = ₦500 (June 12 2023)
Let's start.
Any questions feel free to ask.
Modified summary
Total time of LPG - 197mins at #650/kg
= #3.3/min
Total time or petrol - 106 mins at #500/l
= #4.7/m
Another way of looking at it .
With Gas
By calculation
1kg of gas at 650naira per kg lasted 3.17hours (3hours 17mins)
How many kg of gas per hour 650/3.17= 205.
Cost per hour = ₦205
I.e ₦205 of gas lasted one hour
*With Petrol*
One liter at #500 lasted 1.46mins (one hour 46mins)
Cost per hour= 500/1.46 = ₦342
Conclusion LPG cheaper
Personally gas is so safer than pms any day, but I'll have to put out this warning.
WARNING!!!!
LPG IS FLAMMABLE.
THE GAS LINE AND GAS CYLINDER SHOULD BE KEPT AWAY FROM NAKED FLAMES AND HOT SURFACES.
WHEN TROUBLESHOOTING A PROBLEM WITH YOUR GEN USE PMS ESPECIALLY FOR VALVE AND ELECTRICAL ISSUES.
FINALLY THE END PRODUCT IS STILL CARBON MONOXIDE AND GEN SHOULD NEVER BE USED IN A CONFINEMENT, CARBON MONOXIDE WILL KILL IF THIS HAPPENS.
Happy independence day people . Where is the carburettor? |

Skyview01: Take a look at the crime rate and lawlessness in the society and you will realize flogging actually is not working. We need a paradigm shift in our parenting style in Nigeria. Come let me teach you how to flog. The kind one that feels like those wicked specie of mosquitoes that bites you in ondo and few weeks in Lagos you still dey feel the bitter bite even scratch the spot till it turned to scar that lives with you for life. |
Family › Re: Is Flogging A Part Of Good Parenting ? by Advancedman(m): 10:14pm On May 16, 2023 |
Yugoslavia247: Despite all the flogging, we are still the most corrupt nation. High rate of internet fraud, hook up.
Flogging never actually worked.
Many parents flogg and gave up. Children revolt and fight back. Children become more dangerous and beast mode is activated.
Alot of children want to stay away from home.
At the end the flogging will at a point be needless. That is when most parent use the real parenting skills of advise and pleading.
You can not flog an 18 year old. He will fight you.
I think real parenting is the ability to use the other forms of effective punishment and reward approach. Because advise is the best.
In school the most notorious are still the most flogged. Did they stop being notorious? No.
The most pampered are more willing to excel academically.
In parenting, the ability to use the carrot and stick approach effectively works to a very large extent.
Children get use to beating and it becomes ineffective.
At a point you would not be able to beat that child. What will you do?
This is Africa where we we teach morals to children and encourage corruption of adults
Spits
In Africa is where a Father teaches his children not to steal while he loots his place of work endlessly
We actually are too lazy in African schools to imbibe theories of parenting and teaching. We prefer the easier route. Using pain and fear.
If many Nigeria teachers were living abroad they will learn patience and respect for children rights.
We most certainly do not respect that in Nigeria.
Many wealthy politicians sent their children to these schools in Nigeria where no one hits their children.
These same children end up the in elite and political class. They very confident and outspoken.
Flogging is for the poor. Discipline is a high level discipline in training meaning you need to study it at an advance level. For instance impartation, impact, and leading by nature popularly called by example. Bringing a child to a point of brokenness, sobriety, reality realization and self awareness are set of tactical and tactful skill that a guardian must possess and be proficient in their application to specific individual ward as everyone is peculiar and unique in their own way. All these must be executed in love, care, friendship and understanding. Listening to children is paramount as well as being active at one's duty as a guardian from foetus till adulthood. |

cutecommend: As a Christian who fears God, is their any need to confess Adultery to your partner? Or should someone just pray to God for forgiveness and move on? Assuming a secret child is involved, should the Adultery still be confessed or should it be sealed after prayers of forgiveness have been offered to God? Confession to ones partner should be done after guidance from a good and mature Christian counselor.
