Visit www.justalternativepower.com You will access articles and information on inverters and backup solutions. |
If you have an inverter backup that is not working well then read the article to know why a lot of inverter backup solution fail in Nigeria. http://www.justalternativepower.com/articles/why_backup_systems_fail.html |
Hello, Decided to redesign www.justwebservices.com so as to be able to meet with the challenges ahead and to take care of opportunities around. Criticisms and comments are welcome as I want to make the site useful to Nigerians. |
Well, it seems that events are proving those that highlight the atrocities of the West right and the poster needs a distraction. All in all, the average Nigerian likes to advice others but hates to take advice for any reason whatsoever. |
A server is just another PC that serve other PCs. Same way your PC tends to run slowly when you have a lot of applications jostling for CPU time is the same way a server that has a lot of websites will run slow (and in some cases stop and restart itself). I need not go into the pluses and minuses of overloading a server because business owners who are serious about their websites usually try to understand some of these things before settling for a web hosting package. With 10MB disk space ( I have seen people advertise for 2MB) one can have up to 1000 websites or 5000 websites in the case of 2MB disk space hosted on say a 100GB hard disk machine and when all these websites come with their unique visitors only God knows the level of reliability the server will offer as the RAM in most cases is not even burstable. So, when we talk about uptime we should talk about it in a way that our explanation will not boomerang when a website owner decides to learn a little more as regards the dynamics of web hosting. Enjoy! |
Cheaper is not always better. How many domains are hosted on these servers that carve up as much disk space as possible if I may ask? Can a server with just 500 websites hosted be less reliable than the same server with 50,000 websites? I don't think so. |
Big B1:Abi you no like the man because hin dey shout say na IBB suppose answer for Dele Giwa death? ![]() |
You seem lost and confused, sorry. |
presido1:When I call you a pig you begin to wonder why. I have never labeled OBJ a saint because he is not one. I have never stated that OBJ is not corrupt, not even once. But idiots like you will continue to imagine nonsense and base your useless posts on them. I am really disgusted reading posts put down by animals like you here. I have no business with OBJ and care less if he is sent to jail for life tomorrow morning for his actions. Thank God I am Igbo otherwise fools like you would have been playing the ethnic card here, silly pig. |
Boy, I really do not have time for silly things like you seeking cheap attention. I never boasted about any of my sites yet you started your moronic post making that wrong accusation. Believe me, in your lifetime you will only wish to do what I have been able to do online and legitimately too. As regards your advice, do take them and apply them in your projects. Good luck and learn to communicate because based on what I have read thus far you lack proper communication skills. |
Yeah, I understand ignorance is your problem but I hope you can get a cure. Empty barrels make the loudest of noises. Your profile says you are the best coder to have come out of Africa, only an insecure person would have such a claim. Inferiority complex is a bad thing, enjoy the week. |
Nope, you didn't hurt my ego, in my world little things don't matter and you are just a little thing. I have only stated facts and I am certain pigs like you don't like them when they are stated. This is the internet so you are free to even claim that you are the main brain behind Microsoft, no wahala, we know where scam artists like you end up. How many different sections have you posted this your scam advert for people to sign up? Just count them and what desperation may be doing to you. Enjoy! |
And your point is? Every attempt you make to justify the greed that propels people like you will fail, we are watching. Keep going round any website you see to bring content even when common sense is there to make it clear that you were not thinking right on this issue. |
buluti:@buluti, Thanks for pointing that out, honestly I am beginning to get frightened at the rate people criticize the government or agencies and once they have anything to gain or do with them they turn around and are ready to die for the same thing they were criticizing before. Has Nigeria1 been making all these noise (especially on the last census) because he wanted government patronage or what? This is the bane of Nigeria today, many are insincere with their criticisms and the moment they believe they can benefit anything they do a u-turn. @Nigeria1, How much are you being paid? |
@beetintin, I tire for Nigerians oo. Someone gets involved in a shady business and when things go bad he/she is ready to blame anyone but himself/herself. Just a phone and I dismissed the guy as pure scam. Unfortunately, he will still be released and he will come up with another scheme. The truth is 419 is like prostitution, as long as men are willing to patronize prostitutes the trade cannot die and as long as greedy Nigerians are ready to hope for a business deal that will translate N2,000.00 into N5M in 3 months such schemes will be around. It's just the noise they make when things go wrong that I hate. @denex, Leave the sleekdot alone let him continue to swim in an ocean of ignorance. The moment I asked him to explain if the guy was running a micro finance bank as they were criminally and erroneously trying to deceive people into believing the guy disappeared. That is their style, start off with a lie and try to build a mountain on it, I am surprised that no one has claimed that the guy used juju on them yet. |
@my2cents, What makes you think the 2 sites have anything in common? As regards functionality, many companies are just realizing that beautiful faces on websites and huge banners don't make the sale. A lot of substandard websites are tolerated by their owners today because they don't depend on the websites for revenue or anything, some just decided to own websites because their friends or competitors have websites. |
At times it is best to listen to other than to be the one doing the talking. I have learnt a lot from the comments posted by Kobojunkie and My2cents. My take on this, if you are a fast learner it is better to learn on your own than to go to a school especially as the rate of change or improvement in virtually everything related to IT is high for even schools to keep up with. |
Wow! Your your silly remark on the other thread I had the impression that you were a web developer not knowing that you are busy looking for people to take their money, shame on you man. Are you promising anything that the likes of goolge isn't promising people and in this case based on someone else's business? Personally, I never send money to any website without a physical address listed. Keep looking for people to either rubbish or scam while others keep making money legitimately. |
Pain:I can't remember boasting about a website, I stated that Nigerians can list their businesses on a website. What part fo that don't you understand? I will take you senseless comments as one of those that come from people who don't know much about web development instead they do all their web development on discussion forums with absolutely nothing to show. People like think the fastest way into relevance is rubbishing others, I got news for you, it doesn't work that way. Some of you need to head back home? Another silly comment. Do you need to be in Nigeria for you to provide quality web services to Nigeria? I don't think so. Maybe you have forgotten that on the internet there are no boundaries and no limitations as regards location. So, keep looking for people to abuse while you remain in perpetual state of uselessness. |
chidichris:Oya Iyke-D, you don hear am, mark today's date and quote him any day. Laugh no go kill person for this forum eh kwan. |
denex:Denex, One can easily have you for lunch for asking this type of question. His sins may be many but I don't think there is anything wrong in the N10M reward. |
Unfortunately, a lot of Nigerians don't see anything wrong in dubious businesses these days. I have been offered up to N200k to replicate a bank website for fraudulent purposes and when I turned down that offer and walked the guy out of my office I was shocked at some responses by a few people I told this. Many of them told me that in Nigeria nobody does any clean business and as such that it was stupid to have rejected such offer even when they know I can complete the job under 10hrs. All in all, we must answer for our actions whether right or wrong. Unless you understand a business so well it does not make sense to invest in it, this might be a simple advice but in its simplicity lies the difference between a wise investment or a foolish one. Look at the latest adverts for Dangote flour, they clearly use the fact that millions of people eat bread everyday to justify their asking Nigerians to invest in the company. While no one can be forced not to invest in any fraudulent scheme those who do so should not play the victim when things go wrong. A clever person knows how to solve problems while a wise person knows how to avoid them. |
sleekdot:With an opening statement like this I expected you put down something reasonable but you just wasted your time beating around the bush. What is the name of this micro finance bank? Maybe people like you need to start from there before your confusion consumes you. |
Is she supposed to take the topic back to the president for understanding and/or implementation? Is her visit personal or official and if official does she have any constitutional responsibility for being the wife of the president? |
@debosky, The way wild allegations are being thrown around here is alarming and unfortunately those behind such allegations believe deep down in their hearts that they know exactly how things work. If there is no ulterior motive behind this type of allegations then only God knows why they are usually made in the first place and before you know it questions, analysis and comments are based on this wild allegations as if they were facts (or anything close to facts). |
@giffyted, I am really shocked at the level of acceptance of wrong actions all in the bid to justify greed. @iyes, Thanks for your comments, Nigerians will rather blame everyone for their problems but themselves. Such thinking prompted me to write an article at http://www.afamnnaji.com/blog_view.php?myview_id=25 |
Thanks for the insight but you are wrong. I personally know of former colleagues that earn what we are disputing here, so take care. |
In fact if you make use of MTS First Wireless the *2* code when recharging is for Atiku as the former no 2 man, maybe he gets 20% of that amount and is sent to his account in Jamaica. Nothing person no go hia 4 nairaland. |
On fair trade, the West have policies in place to promote and protect their own from foreign competition while doing all they can to get resources for free if possible. I do not believe the West is responsible for all our problems as that would be a stupid position to take, however moves being anchored by the West to further ridicule Africans should be resisted. I believe Nigeria and indeed Africa will wake up once we have selfless, dedicated and sincere leaders, only then can the activities of the West (those that are detrimental anyway) be curtailed if not totally done with. Global capitalist economy? I don't even believe in al these ideologies that are created to protect certain interests. All human beings should be given equal opportunity to survive and compete even though it will be an almost impossible task. |
champredd:I wasn't referring to menial jobs sorry. I meant professionals even though what they pay differ from company to company and from country to country. |
You are on your own, good luck. |
