Big B1:Of course God knows best as regards Vasta, it is just normal that the senseless killing based on envy be discussed and the people behind the killing shamed. It is like shooting someone from behind. What despicable statement are you talking about that warrants apology? Be specific abeg. @chidichris, In you I see a person with a perfect combination of stupidity and ignorance. You will remain a slowpoke all your life because your mind is like a closed circuit television. I really pity you, continue to swim in the ocean of ignorance. |
@chidichris, What is the level of your education because your level of reasoning is ultra low? You started by asking if Vasta was actually involved in a coup and the rest of the nonsense you put down was based on the premise that he was really involved, shame on you. You are even abusing the wife of Vasta who died some couple of months ago, you are indeed very very disgusting. @BigB1, I need not remind you that Vasta never planned any coup against IBB neither was he involved in the one that he was killed for. If Vasta ever planned a coup against IBB it would have succeeded without any problems, it is common knowledge that IBB got rid of him because he has always seen Vasta as a friend that was more intelligent than himself. I really learnt a lesson from the IBB/Vasta story, I always avoid people that feel I am more intelligent than them because history may repeat itself and every wise man out there should learn from the story. |
Saw a template that I liked and customized the site to my taste without using the template. Just like seeing say CNN website and designing a site based on the idea and features. |
Your first statement is flat wrong, I don't know how you arrived at such a conclusion and yet you have based your post on this wrong conclusion, I won't be engaging you on this. Stick to facts and stop twisting issues just to make your point. Again if you really want to be taken seriously, such name calling as regards OBJ being addressed as a monkey by you should stop. Insulting someone that way is very irresponsible and I am surprised you have not realized it yet. |
dsweetest:On any major section or sub section you will see a New Topic button, click on it and start typing. |
segebee:Check the resolution of your monitor, its a 900px wide site so how you see it is wholly dependent on your pc monitor setting. |
kinharold:Maybe the web hosting company blacklisted IP addresses emanating from Starcomms. May be a direct result of someone using Starcomms internet connection to send scam or bulk emails and a whole range of IP addresses (shared IP addresses anyway as they are usually dynamically assigned to customers) may have been blacklisted. Complain to Starcomms even though that may not be their priority for now. |

![]() The web development page still dey there. Well at least they stated that web development is like a puzzle, maybe they are still trying to solve the puzzle. |
@kheme, Thanks. @Neptune, Thank you so very much, I agree with you completely. Will work on it later in the day. Thanks once again. |
If the web hosting for the site was setup very recently then it may be a problem with propagation. Just allow for up to 48hrs or even 72hrs in some cases for the site to really propagate. |
Mamajama:We hope that those being labeled armed robbers are actually armed robbers this one he is not refering to them as suspected armed robbers. |
@Jakumo, Thanks for your advice but I will rather continue with what works for me than try what you are proposing which in the real sense encourages bribery and tomorrow you will still talk about the police being corrupt. It is the same display of cowardice and fear that has made the average Nigerian a pawn on the chess board. How someone will support something bad and at the same time complain about corruption beats my imagination silly. The same way people go into ritual killing to make money or push drugs and tomorrow they blame the government. Nigeria is made up of Nigerians and Nigeria will be a direct reflection of values Nigerians have. |
It is becoming fashionable for Nigerians to support all manner of illegalities and later turn around to blame the government or the police in this case. I drive as much as I use okada and I come across policemen all the time, I don't give them money, I carry the necessary papers and I have not been shot. Fact is the average Nigerian may not even have the correct papers which becomes the loophole the policeman may be looking for. For those that have correct papers, some may end up insulting or abusing the policeman which will also result in another problem as you are not supposed to abuse anyone on uniform. All those advising that you bribe them because they may delay you or waste your time are the ones behind such nonsense, do you imagine countries with better or improve police system got what they have on a platter of gold or what? Here, no body wants to do the ight thing but will be the first to start complaining. From police to PHCN, from FRSC to other agencies I do not have any issues or problems with them because at all times I make sure I am not on the wrong side of the law and that alone keeps me out of any problems. We always reference commercial vehicles that more often than not don't even bother to renew vehicle particulars and as such prefer to give money to the police. We are our own worst enemies, I weep for this nation. |
Problem is the same people that support the likes of Alams will turn around tomorrow and claim that the Igbos are hehind every single problem in the Niger Delta, really amusing. |
rufaai:No wonder over 70% of dynamic websites in the world run on PHP, never mind people attacking all the time. With PHP there are no limits especially as it relates to the web, which by the way is what it was designed for in the first place. |
Do you know the number of police men that gets fired every week based on bribery and extortions? No one will enforce your right for you, it is your duty to do so and when you fail to enforce it in a reasonable manner you ony have yourself to blame not the police. The average Nigerian does not know how to talk to begin with and will unknowingly abuse or insult a policeman in the process or maintaining his or her right, and that will become another issue that the policeman can capitalize on as you do not have the right to abuse anyone on uniform. |
Kay, See me see trouble, I remember stating very clearly that I am not interested in your project so why would I want to sell myself to you? If I turn down over 60% of projects that come my way (remember I do not even advertise my website because the last time it was on my signature I could not handle requests, what you have there is my personal blog where I rant about anything that catches my fancy) why should I be interested in a project being owned by someone whose ego will not allow him realize his mistake when he makes one? About talking about my skills, they say if you've got it flaunt it, I make no apologies for the skills I have and have used it for clients (reasonable ones) both within and outside Nigeria. I did not steal the skills and I choose where to apply them. On the penchant for abusing people's parents I have not abused anyone's parents here (unless as usual you have failed to understand a very simple post), I have advised people that use certain words on others here to try using same on their fathers, if they consider such actions bad then they should understand why they should not use it on others. Maybe the person or persons are related to you and as such what they say makes sense to you. Remember to keep the forum posted on the number of calls, the last time it was 2, how many now? You should be humble enough to accept advice or corrections, you will only get better by doing so. Let me make it crystal clear again, even with N1M on the table for your project and even if it will take me 5hrs to complete it I will let it pass because I will simply not entertain your type, it is clients like you that I happily show the door when they come to my office. Meanwhile, good luck with your project, I sincerely mean it and don't mistake that for wanting to know or even handle it. |
my2cents:Hmm. Well I believe it's always the best to say things as they are, that way whoever you are dealing with will be ready at all times to say I believe what he is saying. As regards web projects and clients you never know why people choose some designers over others, it may not be money issue. I turn down over 60% of projects that come my way and I even get to walk clients out of my office especially those who may have been insulting web designers in the past and believe because they are paying they have the right to say anything including insults. A professional should charge for his services and anyone that is ready to do business with him/her must do so based on criteria that protects both the professional and the client. The only thing I cannot achieve with PHP and MySQL is have these tools drive me to work. Every good web programmer can web enable any business process but in doing this respect must be a 2 way thing. I often tell some of my friends who are into web development that they are inviting more trouble and insults when they fail to caution clients who will be wrong and abusive at the same time. So, my friend, there is no use playing the devil's advocate on such issues. Being honest, transparent and yet professional is key. Do have a good day. |
bloodline:Tell your father that. |
Hmmm, una never know chidichris well well, in fact don't even try to understand the man otherwise na you sef go kolo. PeeDaVinci |
@Presido1, Read mamajama's post again, IBB was not invited but his son unless IBB goes by the name Muhammed. |

@Kay, Without going through what I have stated again, your comments have proven me right in pointing out that asking people to call you will not serve a better purpose when compared to other cheaper and more effective channels. Have you not added an email address? Why do so if you felt those advicing on alternatives were stupid? 2 calls. I am sure more than 2 people will be interested in your project but why would people pick up the phone, spend anywhere between 2 minutes and 10 minutes to get details of what you want done? This is a forum and even though I am not interested in your project it does not stop me from making comments that others may find useful even if you decide to put them in the trash can. Good luck with your project. @my2cents, Sometimes I wonder what you intend to achieve with some of your comments especially as regards other people. If you want to handle the project for the guy give him a call and arrange to do it. He has been to the website you referenced and he said he saw 1 web designer, maybe your advice was the best after all. |
Naija, I throway salute oooo. http://www.thenewsng.com/modules/zmagazine/article.php?articleid=18708 +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Election Rigging: ANPP Withdraws Petition Against Yar’Adua By Nnamdi Felix /Abuja The All Nigeria People’s Party (ANPP) this morning in Abuja informed the Election Petitions Tribunal that it is withdrawing its petition challenging the conduct of the April 2007 presidential election and the return of Umar Yar’Adua and Goodluck Jonathan as the President and Vice President respectively. Counsel to the ANPP, Chief Chimezie Ikeazor (SAN) informed the court that the party’s decision was hinged on the insult and abuse which the party received from Muhammadu Buhari, its presidential candidate and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of Action Congress. Chief Ikeazor (SAN) explained that in response to an application for consolidation made by ANPP, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and his party (AC) as well as General Buhari questioned the morality of the ANPP to bring up a petition against the election of Yar’Adua and Goodluck since the party had joined the Government of National Unity. Continuing, “the ANPP counsel averred that: “The response of Atiku and Buhari informed my decision to really withdraw my application for consolidation and to also declare and make my intention known that I will enter a consultation with my client to take further steps to enter an application to withdraw the party’s petition as stipulated by Electoral Act 2006. He maintained that it is not proper for Atiku and Buhari to condemn ANPP for joining the Government of National Unity (GNU). He further stated that the decision to join the GNU is a political decision which was taken in the interest of the country and that Atiku and Buhari have no right to question the morality of that decision in court. Chief Ahamba (SAN), counsel to Buhari in his response informed P.M.News that “what we had seen today was the reason behind Buhari’s reluctance to consolidate his petition with that of the ANPP,” stating that Buhari would have been abandoned by now by the party which has joined the Government of National Unity. |
There is nothing to gain by taking shots at the poster. I am sure he can do just fine waiting for people to call him even though I don't believe it is a good option considering the alternatives. As regards your comments proper telling same to your father won't be a bad idea unless you have been doing that all your life, silly. |
What exactly do you want some to do for you? What is clear is what you are offering but what's the deal? |
Unfortunately, many Nigerians do not know their rights and a greater majority of those that know their rights are not ready to enforce them. I only carry the registration and insurance and for over 4 years now I can't remember giving a police man any bribe because I make sure I have proper documentation at all times. It is also important that there is a difference between insisting on your rights and insulting a policeman as a lot of people don't knwo how to communicate and as such they end up being in trouble for insulting the police man which is easier to prove anyway. |
presido1:IBB is not in jail because no court has convicted him yet.ibb as we all know was a corrupt president yet our able crime fighters found nothing incriminating on him. |
E no go better for person wey do you this thing, even if person curse you say you go be olodo for life you no fit reject am or even go for deliverance. You are certainly the most confused human being I have encountered online in my life, you are a danger to yourself in my opinion. |
@tundewoods, You will be surprise how this will turn out. Ideas that may look funny and crazy in the beginning usually turn out to be success stories. I wish him luck. The good news is that web development is something anyone with passion, determination and the willingness to learn can do and do well. |
Seun:Somebody wake me up from this dream. Can't believe someone would have statements like these. |

is "it depends". Atimes, I also like playing devil's advocate.
