The requested URL /jap/inverterconfig.html was not found on this server. huh

Can you do something about it?
I think the problem is with Seun the administrator who sees any link to any website as a threat to Nairaland otherwise why on earth would someone in his/her right state of mind change the web address stated on a public forum?

www.just webservices.com/jap/inverterconfig.html (remove the space between just and webservices) will take you to the website or just see www.justalternativepower.com

No more comments. It seems that we are going round in a circle with no end in sight.

Feel free to vote for Utomi or Buhari, I still believe Yar'adua is better than either of the 2.
PoliticsRe: Your Vote Is Your Might by Afam(m): 1:08pm On Mar 23, 2007
Yar'adua may not be the best candidate in Nigeria but from the list of presidential candidates today I will prefer him to the rest without hesitation for the simple reason that he is not corrupt as corruption has been the major problem in Nigeria.

I am not a politician and will never consider politics in my life because I do not want to get into all the jazz, rituals etc that go with the type we see in Naija.

Previous experience apart the issue of power rotation even though not democratic is something we cannot wish away today in Nigeria until we agree on how best to live together under one nation.
PoliticsRe: PTDF Review Panel Members Resign by Afam(m): 11:42am On Mar 23, 2007
It seems a lot of us want to hear OBJ is guilty at all cost regardless of the facts on ground.

Na hia all us dey dey watch as e go take end.
PoliticsRe: Your Vote Is Your Might by Afam(m): 11:34am On Mar 23, 2007
Ok, we should try Utomi for 4 years and if he fails we should try Okotie, then Buhari, Odili, Kalu etc until someone gets it right, is that it?

Yes, I agree we should vote personalities and that is why Yar'adua is a better alternative to Utomi today as far as governance is concerned.
PoliticsRe: 'President Obasanjo Does Not Own The Bell Schools" - Ribadu by Afam(m): 11:32am On Mar 23, 2007
Hi Razorr,

I do not know what Ribadu said on the PTDF issue. I am only stating that there is every possibility that OBJ does not own Bell University.

Bankole01:
No Afam this is not a condemnation of the Senate but affirmation of Obasanjo culpability in the PTDF scandal.
It is election time and most Senators would like to return to Abuja therefore some of them a ready to dance to the tune played by the presidency.
Did OBJ divert funds for personal use as Atiku did?

Even if the 2 of them are indicted (even though OBJ has not been charged with any corrupt practice) it still supports the position that Atiku is certainly out of the political future of this country and that is what matters.
PoliticsRe: 'President Obasanjo Does Not Own The Bell Schools" - Ribadu by Afam(m): 10:29am On Mar 23, 2007
There is every possibility that OBJ does not own Bell University.

I can influence a big company to come and setup a project in my village if they are convinced that there is a market that will consume what they offer. I do not need to own the company for me to do that.

Unfortunately, a lot of Nigerians only want to hear certain things and when information is not shaped into what they want to hear there is trouble.

Unless someone has or knows the facts in the establishment of the university I do not see any reason why I should not believe the EFCC's version since information on such a serious issue can be found easily and is usually in the public domain.

It's unfortunate that most of the prominent players are either current or ex- PDP members.
Unfortunate? Welcome to the world of reality.

Almost all the politicians in Nigeria today that are not in PDP would gladly rush to PDP if gievn the chance to become their flag bearers in all the elective positions in Nigeria.

Just 4 years? 4 years is too much to do trial and error.

I cannot remember seeing anyone one stating that PDP did nothing wrong unless you are ready to start making ridiculous allegations without any basis.

And not everyone in PDP is corrupt, atleast Yar'adua is not and I guess that was why the PDP selected him and it is working for them as no one is accusing him of any form of corruption which is a huge plus for the party at this stage.

monkeyleg:
My Broda Afam,

Go and look at the way things are done in other democracies that we are coping, altho Naija is unique. Do we stick to one party because the man comming in next is not corrupt, but his brothers, that can and will influence him are? Like I said to you, if you can have the Guvnor of Delta state being nominated for best guvnor award then what is new in people not pointing fingers are Mr Yar. What does he represent is my question, and I am sorry the answer is not CHANGE. PDP has had 8yrs of eating the cherry, I think it is time someone else has a chance ok.

You avoided my comment on the problems VW were having globaly, might it have been related to VON?
1. Even in the US we have just 2 strong parties so the number of parties doesn't necessarily translate to maturity. Delta governor being nominated by a private outfit mainly for economic ends have nothing to do with the likes of Yar'adua as some other outfit can nominate Utomi for excellent leadership even though he failed at VON.

Still on VON, is your question relevant now or then (in the 80s) when he manage (abi na mismanaged VON)?

The answer to the question above will help me respond accordingly.
Technology MarketRe: do you know what an inverter is? i have lots from the US for sale at good price by Afam(m): 7:02pm On Mar 22, 2007
TELEMANTIC:
If you want to buy an Inverter you will be saving yourself lots of Hassles from epileptic power supply from PHCN. For your information there is no date for steady power supply in Nigeria.
An Inverter is a device that takes power from PHCN (AC) and converts it to DC and stores it in its slave battery bank. When there is power supply form PHCN or a generator the inverter plays the role of a supplier of power and a charger. When there is a power outage it takes all that it has stored during charging and converts it to AC supplying your equipment with clean stable power.

Some good Advise for those who will listen:
Make sure you buy Digital sine wave Inverters, if you go for cheap hurriedly assembled ones you may damage your equipment
Make sure you use Deep Cycle Batteries, If you use automotive Batteries you are wasting your time and money

I discovered that Indian made Inverters are the most rugged but you can try American and Chinese models and see.

There is one chap called Goddey who can get you these items at very good prices. Call him at 08033603662 or try Ameed at 08052119940
Digital sine wave inverters are very expensive.

Modified sine wave inverters can comfortably run over 97% of appliances out there with the exception of sensitive medical equipment and appliances that have digital clocks for operation.

We use and recommend the regular heavy duty motor batteries as they are cost effective and for any single battery enough power to work in a backup environment and the battery sizing takes into consideration the maximum depth of discharge unless you have the money to get genuine deep cycle batteries.

Basic battery configurations that we get are 12v 200Ah types whether wet cell or dry cell.

Indian inverters? A client bought a 5kva inverter from Mega at Mega Plaza for N150,000.00 and it packed up in 4 days because it could not charge a simple 72v 200Ah battery bank even though the inverter is a 72v configuration.

The good thing is that I warned the client so when it happened she understood why and now asked us to do what I recommended before installing the system - get a separate charger, opn up the inverter and rewire the connection.

And the worst part, no single warranty yet on all our inverters we offer 1 year full warranty, we repair or replace at no cost.

Thanks Afam for this Education. You are GREAT!

Let's assume I need a 1.5KVa Inverter.

How much is it going to cost me. and how long will it take for me to have it.

URGENT reply needed. kiss
You can find the prices at http://www.just webservices.com/jap/inverterconfig.html or just go to www.justalternativepower.com

It takes 7 working days to setup one if you need it as we are almost always busy building and installing them for private homes and offices.
PoliticsRe: PTDF Review Panel Members Resign by Afam(m): 6:28pm On Mar 22, 2007
Are we now blaming the same senate that we hailed when they quashed the 3rd term agenda?

So, the senate is really not independent?

Is the senate for the highest paying man, be it OBJ or Atiku?

Or, do we only support the senate when it stands against OBJ and condemn it when it does not stand against OBJ?
PoliticsRe: Your Vote Is Your Might by Afam(m): 6:19pm On Mar 22, 2007
So if PDP has done nothing we should try a new party and wait for the surprises or lessons abi?

If you can absolve Utomi of the problems at VON while he was in charge then I wonder why you believe PDP or even anyone should be blamed for Nigeria not being an eldorado today.

On Yar'adua, till today even his opponents have been unable to point to a single act of corruption. This is not a small achievement as corruption is a major problem in Nigeria so if we are opportuned to be presented a man that held public office for 8 years without soilinh his hands we should be happy and thank God for that.

We have gambled enough with the future of this country so the idea of trying other people or new parties will not work, there is no time for trial and error again.

i totally agree. afterall we all know that in the work place, as a superior u are responsible for your subordinates performance wether good or bad. i bet OBJ and his supporters would be singing a different tune if Atiku had actually done well.
So if your surbodinate commits murder in the work place as the superior does it also mean that you can be charged for the murder since by your own understanding the superior/supervisor should be liable for actions of his/her surbodinates?

Afam,

I am a bit concerned that tho u tend to critisize, you never offer up any solutions. This has always been a problem in Nigeria. A lot of people like you claim to know what the problem is with Nigeria, but never offer up a solution. If you so think that Pat is not the man, then offer advice on who is best to lead Nigerians. Tony, and myself have made up our mind, and are convinced that Pat is the person we need now, and for me, I am going to vote for CHANGE. That is what we are asking people to do. VOTE FOR CHANGE.

UP PAT. Everyone SHOUT PAT FROM PRESIDENT.
I do not claim to know what the problem in Nigeria is, I have only stated that Utomi is certainly far from the candidate that can make a change in Nigeria.

He does not have any political experience and his track record at VON does not show he can deliver when given a position of authority.

Yar'adua has been a governor for 8 years without any single charge of corruption and that is a huge plus for a politician in Nigeria where the norm is to loot public funds.

Again, for Utomi not to even realise that for the interest of peace and unity in the nation today that power must rotate back to the North goes to show how he understands Nigeria of today.

did they ever announce the results of that election?? probably because they were both muslims that was why IBB annulled the election results. Thanx to IBB. MKO was instrumental in rigging the election that saw Shagari from no where as Nigeria's president against Pa Awo; na God catch MKO.
The quote above is more than enough reason not to take you serious, what sort of conspiracy theory is this?

Thank God IBB too is a muslim otherwise you would have believed (just like a lot of people who think the same way do) what you just put down.

So, if IBB, a muslim decided to annul the election results that had 2 muslims as contenders then what can we say about that?

Finally the dark side of Obasanjo is beginning to emerge in full glare. Let's see what the OBJ boys on this forum say now!. The so-called "messiah" of Nigeria is no better than those kidnappers in the Niger-Delta.
So there are OBJ boys on this forum?

If you cannot discuss the issue on ground why don't you just read, must you brand people to display your frustration in not being able to convince others to see things your way?

This is one huge disease that is eating up a lot of Nigerians. Once they are unable to defend a position they start calling you names, real shame.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Is A Better Alternative To Yar'Adua by Afam(m): 2:10pm On Mar 21, 2007

Can OBJ sack Atiku? What are we saying when his seat was cleared vancant?

OBJ cannot be held responsible for the crime of a full blown man for any reasons whatsoever.

So whenever misinformations are corrected for the interest of the general public it means that PDP members are doing the corrections? This line of thinking is plain silly and stupid.

Rather than address the statements made as a way of correction you have decided to do what all lazy Nigerians do, call names and disappear.

baby, i can see your only fear is the presumed stance of buhari on religion. both of these guys are muslims and infact yaradua adopted sharia fully in katsina state, i don't think he may look more acceptable to you.
There is nothing wrong in Yar'adua adopting Sharia in Katsina state because the state house of assembly fully passed it into law and this is democracy where the will of the people is respected.

On the other hand, Buhari, a former military leader openly asked moslems to vote for moslem candidates. This is wrong and smarks of religious bigotry. We do not need people that will divide Nigeria across religous lines.

trying to sell a Buhari candidacy is like trying to sell an Atiku candidacy - they are all excercise in futility.

If he does that within his position as VP, then OBJ is incompetent and cannot control his subordinates.
OBJ cannot be held responsible for dirty games the VP may have been involved in if he was not aware and there is a limit to what people can know even if they deployed the best spy agencies in the world.

Unless ofcourse your post is just to show that OBJ must be guilty at all cost regardless of the reasons.

I guess we should also not vote for people who may think they can lead when they lack the qualities of a good leader or someone that was incharge of VON when the company went down.

Yes, we need change and honest change for that matter.
PoliticsRe: Your Vote Is Your Might by Afam(m): 4:15pm On Mar 20, 2007
Ok. I thought as much.

I agree, we should vote wisely. I hope we will all accept the results when they are released and not claim election rigging when our candidates lose.
PoliticsRe: Who Is Telling The Truth? by Afam(m): 4:04pm On Mar 20, 2007
I will be the last person on planet earth to state that OBJ is not corrupt as that would be a lie.

The issue I am pointing out is that Atiku could (and infact did) get involved in so many deals without the knowledge or permission of OBJ.
PoliticsRe: Your Vote Is Your Might by Afam(m): 12:46pm On Mar 20, 2007

Any powers he has is such that the President delegates to him. These powers you outlined where exercised at the behest of the President.
The originator of this thread is creating the impression that Atiku cannot loot without the knowledge of the president and it is wrong unless we are being told that every single step of Atiku was being recorded while overseeing the privatization process.

I have not stated that Atiku can take on issues or tasks without the tasks being delegated to him by the president, the point is that based on all tasks he had been given by the president he can (and indeed looted) make deals, loot funds without the express knowledge of the president.
