I was accused of lying by this stupid nuzo and when asked to reproduce any single lie I have stated his only response was nuzo:This is the highest point of stupidity. nuzo:I doubt if anyone in Nigeria is not aware of the support Chris Uba used to have while OBJ was in power. However, while you are ok with blaming the FG for what your own brother is doing I believe the proper blame should go to Chris Uba and all the people of Anambra that work with him from the over 20 law makers he sponsored to those who are ready to die for him due to what they benefit from him. nuzo:Same old nonsense, however let will correct a lie you have introduced just for posterity sake. I have never objected to anyone faulting Nigerian leaders for the problems in Nigeria. I fault them too. I have always objected to Nigerians living outside Nigeria abusing those of us that live in Nigeria and will continue to do so. That you cannot complete a sentence without lying is your own problem not mine. nuzo:My response was to you, I don't know how else you expect me to talk to you directly. Are you referring to email, phone or face to face? If yes, then it is not possible as I don't waste my time will clowns. So, as regards your proposal to have a face to face meeting with me here in Nigeria my response is this - No. I would rather engage a mad man on the street than waste my time with someone who has no credibility and who lies without thinking twice. If this is how you have been arranging meetings with people then be it known to you this day that the strategy cannot work with me. You say I have what you termed holier than thou attitude. Well, I think it is more like "honesty" there. I don't lie about anything in my life. I am honest in all I do so I understand why people like you get uncomfortable when we demand honesty as you cannot measure up in that area. For me it has always been a way of life and criminally minded people cannot change this fact. Keep looking for outsiders to blame instead of being man enough to blame those who are directly responsible for the actions you frown at. |
Kobojunkie:Can anyone state what the heavy work that requires heavy work mean here because the rate at which we put down meaningless statements just to sound knowledgeable is getting out of hand. What is this heavy work that is being referred to here? |
OAM4J:Dying masses of Nigeria? Is this what your family members tell you so that you can send money to them? It is this gross display of stupidity that makes it seem like anyone is against Nigerians living outside Nigeria when responding to the nonsense you put down here. What work do you do where you are? State it here so that we can know if you are able to even make money legitimately let alone have extra to send home. Before you know it security guards and dish washers will be bragging about sending money to those they borrowed monies from while in Nigeria. Dying masses in Nigeria indeed. I don't see any genuine hardworking Nigeria making such a stupid statement though. |
Eziachi:Hmm, earlier I wrote the following because I know how people like these behave Afam: |
Radiant:I stated earlier that your thinking process was fundamentally flawed. I think that was actually a compliment because it is pretty obvious that you are a complete egg head. However, I recognize the fact that you cannot understand information that is beyond your comprehension level so I won't even bother. And when they talk about Nigerians living outside Nigeria clowns like you are counted? This is the real tragedy. |
Onlytruth:I cannot support anything that will undermine my own people, God forbid! I cannot pretend that the Ubas do not have outside support but those outsiders cannot do anything in Anambra without the willing tools they found in Chris Uba and others. Now, if some people agree to be sponsored by this man, I am talking about over 20 law makers and a governor then it means that we have a serious issue here and the people must correctly identify those that are working hand in hand with the enemies instead of putting the blame on an outside. Dem say na rat wey dey inside go tell the one wey dey outside say make e come chop fish. I am from Enugu state and even though it was widely rumored that Chimaroke was OBJ's boy I couldn't imagine myself blaming OBJ for Chimaroke's action as every single person should be held accountable for his deeds. I hope my position is clear now. |
Radiant:Half of over 150 million Nigerians living with less than $1 per day? Needless to state this but clowns like you would even believe the world bank if it changes the statement to read that 90% of Nigerians drink only water year in year out. That is the high level of stupidity you are bringing to the table. That statement has been around even when $1 was exchanging for about N120.00 and this confused woman believes that indeed over 75 million Nigerians live on less than N120.00 a day. If the statement by any imagination is correct then Nigeria should be praised for having being able to achieve this miracle. The major inverter manufacturers in the world are in the USA and Canada even where they provide you with 101% electricity. Can't you use your brain to process information before spreading the nonsense you put down or are these companies owned by Nigerians? Keep shifting the goal posts defender of Nigerians. Any insult you direct at Nigerians living in Nigeria will be responded to in kind, just have this at the back of your mind. If you send money to your friends and family members that may have forged documents for you and contributed money to pay for your visa and tickets it does not give you the right to talk down on Nigerians living in Nigeria because in reality a lot of them are doing far better than you are doing. The issue was about the insult, I will always remind readers this fact no matter how hard you try to divert attention to other things. No one has claimed that Nigeria is ok the way it is and no one has compared the infrastructure in Nigeria to those outside so stop manufacturing issues that never existed on this thread just to justify your very careless and irresponsible comments and insults. |
back2back:You see why I stated that you cannot stand facts? Your lie about $16 billion remains a lie and even a bigger lie was that you claimed Yaradua made the claim. Please, learn to have some respect for facts and truth, it really helps in life. A simple task for you to prove a statement that has been repeated over and over could not be completed because a lie cannot stand any serious scrutiny. |
While you await for the answers to your questions (many of them I find ridiculous anyway) I have just one for you. Why are you using an Igbo username on this forum even when you are from the North if you are not ashamed of your tribe or your people? @ the questions asked by this man, I sincerely hope that people do not bother responding to him because there will be no end in sight as regards questions as this is the usual tactics of people that want to derail threads. |
Epiphany:Different amounts were reportedly spent or wasted from $10 billion to $16 billion with the law makers and presidency claiming $13 billion at a time. An economic adviser who attempted to correct the mistake by the presidency was fired. At the end of the day the same law makers put the amount to about $5 billion. Now, this is about the amount quoted. What did they consider wastage? Most of the comments that nothing were on ground based on trips and tours of the law makers were based on complete ignorance on what constituted EPC contracts. Many wondered why over 60% of funds were given out to relevant contractors without seeing anything on ground forgetting that you can as well spend over 70% of the total project amount without seeing anything on ground and this is perfectly normal in such contracts where the bulk of the time and money goes into engineering design and procurement which usually includes custom fabrication of components based on small but important things as little as soil texture and gas composition for the gas fired power plants. Imported (completed) turbines were even laying waste at different ports while the ongoing probe was on and the projects were still within the stipulated time frame and yet close to 1 year was wasted in the process. However, there were irregularities in the award of some contracts and those responsible should be made to face the music. My point is that love OBJ or hate him when it comes to solving the power problem in this country no president or head of state has done more than this man who has his own faults and made some mistakes while he was in power. We must avoid blanket commendation or commendation and instead admit the positive or the negative actions of anyone without any sentiments based on facts. |
Ojukwu clearly demonstrated that the problem can be tackled by the people of Anambra and not the typical buck passing that some of our brothers do where they will put every single blame on foreigners instead of addressing the core issues and holding the people responsible for the problems accountable for their actions. |
otokx:Chai! This one na uppercut. |
And you "the teacher" don't have any? |
back2back:The content in bold refers, can you point us to any evidence, statement or article where Yaradua made that statement about OBJ wasting $16 billion? I guess this should be a simple thing to prove considering the interest the issue generated. So, just educate us on that statement before we muddle things up with other diversions. |
nuzo:1. Produce a single lie that I stated. 2. Produce the awful thing I stated. 3. Your understanding of hypocrisy obviously is wrong. 4. What you call double standard maybe due to ignorance on your part. Only fools would make blanket accusations without stating a single fact to back up their statements. Your inability to comprehend my post is your own problem not mine. I don't have to make statements that you approve of for the statements to be valid. |
candylips:No wahala. Enjoy the weekend and take care. |
tosh_acer:I agree with the fact that Americans, Indians, Chinese and some other nationals make 10000 times the amount that was reported as funds being sent to families and friends in Nigeria by Nigerians. OvieE:Guy, there are people that would reject offers to travel to UK, USA etc even with free tickets and accommodation. Do not imagine that everyone is interested in such. And this "you may have been denied visa" is getting rather weak, monotonous and ineffective when responding to real issues. Tackle the issues raised and leave probability matters for mathematics students to sort out. |
candylips:I believe in open source. If you get to discuss custom projects with companies then you will see where over reliance on already existing software may boomerang. I was once recommended to one oil servicing firm here in Lagos concerning a CV, recruitment and project tracking software. I was informed by the company that they had rejected two off the shelf software solutions after seeing the demos by some IT firms. They only made this information available to me because I refused to do a demo without being paid as I made it clear that free demos don't make any sense. At the end of the day a custom solution was built for them meeting all the requirements they brought to the table and they have been using the solution. The only reason why I was confident on being able to deliver was because I understand the building blocks of programming and could turn whatever business process into code. I wouldn't have been able to do this with off the shelf products even if it meant tweaking a few codes here and there. |
citizenY:I usually don't get to read more than 2 sentences from this guy and I have told him so several times. However, whenever I see my name being used in any of his nonsense and incoherent posts I do my best to correct any false representations because people like these don't have any problems lying about almost everything and if these lies are left unchallenged some might wrongly assume them to be true. I am only on the look out for lies that have to do with my name as I have known the guy to be completely clueless and confused for more than 2 years now. |
logica:One thing that is common with the average educated Nigerian is that he/she finds it supremely difficult to process information or comprehend issues due to intellectual stubbornness and will never admit that. You have jumped from shopping cart to posting a link on PHP puzzles just to hide your inability to help someone fix a program on a language you so brag about but obviously know nothing about as regards actual usage. Seems you are enjoying the diversion from the real issues. I will have to put an end to that enjoyment because I will only respond to your post when you address the issues on ground. Any irrelevant post will be ignored based on merit. Oya, let's have your next post so we can see how it will fare. |
logica:Excellent response by someone that cannot even solve a problem for someone and yet will spend the whole day bragging about a language he cannot even use himself. It is not about acquisition of knowledge, it is about putting that knowledge to use. All the noise you have been making have come to naught because you cannot even help someone solve a basic problem in a language you brag about. All these paper tigers sef. |
logica:Is static HTML now a programming language? Help the poster solve his problem that is the essence of understanding a programming language. It is not about bragging to know the language it is about using the language to solve problems and we have one on our hands right now. Solve the problem for the guy and leave the bragging rights for now. |
chidichris:Keep your posts very short because I honestly never read more than 2 sentences you write because they are usually incoherent and baseless. For the records I have never claimed that Nigeria is without problems. It is just that I have refused to see things from your myopic point of view, that's all. |
If you were running PHP I am sure someone would have provided the answer to the problem as soon as you posted it. Another reason to embrace a language that has great support from across the world. I wish I could help. |
chidichris:Let us assume for a split second that I have ever toyed with the idea of leaving Nigeria and settling abroad the very fact that your level of reasoning is this low and yet you are based outside Nigeria is enough reason for me to send to the trash can all ideas, notions, thoughts etc of leaving Nigeria. Your relations in Nigeria may be living in hell but trust me Nigeria is not hell and I am not living in hell. Hypocrites like you travel down to Nigeria and it seems anytime you do so the status of Nigeria changes from hell to heaven. Spare me the silly rhetorics please. |
candylips:One of the major limitations I have found with technology adoption is the statement - there is no point re-inventing the wheel. By all means if you can re-invent the wheel go ahead because it is in doing so you get to understand how things work. If e-commerce is very generic then how come it is very difficult for payment gateways in Nigeria to implement simple e-commerce solutions? I have been dealing with IT managers of banks who in my opinion know very little about e-commerce let alone having them implement them to our own unique environment. Customizing an existing free e-commerce software may cost more and take more time considering the fact that you must understand the design principles, logic and assumptions made by the original developer before you can correctly change anything that may affect the working of the software. I started using open source solutions like joomla when it was still mambo and after about 2 years I realized they had unnecessary limitations and were not flexible enough to accomplish tasks that clients would want on their websites. About scalability of PHP my simple question is this - Why do we have over 70% of dynamic applications out there running on PHP? This forum runs on PHP and it is the most popular Nigerian website and the script is open source. |
agitator:True, some of us may not come out and fight but we will not be blaming people from other states and even tribes for the problems our own brothers are responsible for. |
Epiphany:There was never anything like $16 billion and that is the issue. Somebody was fired for attempting to correct the president's figure. Senate and House of Reps had different figures and the media was agog with $16 billion. After all the noise died down figures in the neighborhood of $5 billion were reported as the independent power project. So, when $16 billion never existed then every single comment based on the lie becomes null and void. We must learn to respect facts and demand from the media to feed us facts, just facts. |
rethink:You must realize that sometimes people say things to make them feel better or justified for their actions. The lie about $16 billion has been dismantled, corrected, rubbished by facts and yet you still get to see people use this lie as a basis to discuss or debate issues. |
chosen04:Who is afraid of equity, transparency, justice, fair play and equal opportunity? These things are what the average Igbo man or woman wants and I sincerely believe that every single person should want the same thing. Sacrificing excellence at the altar of mediocrity has never done mankind any good and will never do. |
And after our people living outside Nigeria will tell us that Nigeria is a lawless society and a jungle. Kudos to the judiciary, yet again. |
