blacksta:I am surprised Seun has not removed his as a moderator because the guys lacks everything it takes to moderate anything let alone a forum. |
babapupa:At least you are justifying the money you are paid to flood discussion boards with comments on Fashola. Good work keep it up. Does it then mean that if the spam bot begins to reject posts with the name Fashola that you will kiss the forum goodbye? You are one bloody olode I have come across on this forum. |
As stated earlier truth is bitter and your write like someone that is really hurt for being exposed for what you are. Back to the title of this thread, mr liar when did Fashola resign? And he even claimed 2 times. |
babapupa:Unfortunately, you are exhibiting the same trait that a typical Nigerian exhibits - inability to tolerate views that are not native to him/her. To begin with I am a supporter of Fashola due to the work he has been doing in Lagos and if there is a need to vote for him I will gladly do so and campaign for him. So, if you think my posts amount to disagreement with you based on your support for him then your level of reasoning must be abysmally very low and funny enough people like you are quick to accuse others. But spending 95% of your posts on Fashola and the other 5% on Igbo bashing makes you a paid agent and a tribal bigot. |
babapupa:What can I say when over 95% of your posts are centered around Fashola. You are definitely up to something, simple. |
mikeansy:And he will surely do that if he gets the opportunity to do. |
babapupa:Truth is bitter so I understand why you seem hurt. Be yourself and don't deny the paid job you are doing on this forum. A lot of us know. |
kosovo:No one needs any magic to know why Nigeria is performing as expected. So many square pegs in round holes. |
Seems like another avenue to loot funds. If Nigeria is serious about generating more power then it can do so exclusively with coal and we have good quality coal in abundance. There is simply no reason why Nigeria cannot generate more electricity. |
puskin:Me. One must not get a second ID if banned unless the person is desperate to use the forum. |
Wind or power together with a well planned backup would provide a cheaper and more reliable solution. |
I have consistently questioned the selection process and maintained that the problems inherent in this are the same problems we see in the real politics in Nigeria. The moderator boasted that the election was free and fair and I reminded him that even Iwu believes the 2007 elections were very ok. Today we now better. Nigerians would rather go to war than accept mistakes when they make them. I hope the moderator would now reverse his "I have been vindicated" statement. |
Once the requirement involves frequent updates then programming comes in as against a regular static website that is usually the cheapest to setup but the most expensive to maintain especially where updates are concerned. |
gee.:See www.justwebservices.com or specifically www.itsyourcms.com |
igbogolo:This should win the response of the year award! |
There is a connection between bababupa and Fashola's government because he seems to come to life anytime a thread has anything to do with Fashola. Obviously, he is not an objective contributor when it comes to Fashola and that is a fact. Gov Fashola is doing well and should be supported by all well meaning Lagosians as a clean, safe and progressive Lagos will benefit everyone living in or visiting Lagos. |
When all they do is collect or solicit money from the banks to give them awards while keeping the difference as profit what do you expect. I am beginning to see a similar thing in the web industry where some companies organize and give awards to some IT companies even when the organizers don't know A from B. With time, mediocrity and shameless "money for hand back for ground" ways of doing business will give way. We have a lot of egg hands taking decisions that affect us all in Nigeria and that is a very serious issue. |
212blaze:On the web clients will readily click the back button than wait for your explanations. The web speaks and understands an entirely different language than you are used to. Immediacy, straightforwardness and quick service. Try to cajole a serious buyer and he is off for good. |
The essence of a run-off is to get a clear winner. And clearly, the 3rd guy who shouldn't have been included in the run off came a distant last. If the top 2 had been voted for in the run off perhaps some of the people that voted for the 3rd guy would have voted for either of the first two instead of unnecessarily splitting votes. It is usually better to accept mistakes when we make them than to wish them away because they will always haunt us. |
Tried to checkout the payment options and was taken straight to interswitch website. |
~Bluetooth:Whoever he declares as the winner is not the main issue, the process of selecting the 3 that took part in the run off remains the issue I disagree with because there is no mathematical theory or model in the world that says that 15, 16 & 16 are the same so the issue of saying that there was a tie amongst the top 3 contenders lacks no basis. I agree with the comments on elections in Nigeria especially the need to resolve all post election issues before swearing anyone into office. All in all what will work best is complete transparency and honesty which in my opinion are not common with Nigerians as many think that the process doesn't matter as long as the end is ok hence the idea of seeing young people become prostitutes, 419ners, armed robbers and drug pushers knowing fully well that sooner or later everyone will forget how they made the money and instead become their friends and even give them titles. |
~Bluetooth:Exactly why we have politicians who rigged elections staying in office for more than 2 years while the appeal panel and tribunals are still debating the validity or otherwise of the election that brought them to office. Which is easier to do? Conduct a flawed election (based on irregularities and lies) and wait for years before concluding on appeals or conduct an election based on sound and objective principles? Time, energy, resources etc that are usually wasted in resolving election disputes would have been more productive if channeled to other areas if the elections were done properly. I am only interested in having us do things right. We cannot continue to do things wrong and still have the guts to complain about our leaders unless of course we are bloody hypocrites and sycophants. |
citizenY:No. At least they don't force people to pay tithes, they play with their minds and cajole them to pay which may not be an offense in itself. However, what they do with the money collected on God's behalf should be investigated considering the fact that many of the members can't even afford 0.001% of what their pastors can afford and many of these pastors seem to have just 1 job - full time pastoring. |
chosen04:It is sad to note that Nigerians have elevated some of these pastors to demi gods and as such when they talk they think or assume that they are talking to idiots. And why won't they behave like that when the average church goer brags about what his/her pastor said as against what the bible said? I only hope the EFCC will focus their attention on these pastors cum businessmen once they are done with the financial institutions. Just 2 months work will sanitize that area. |
OAM4J:You seem not to understand the issue. He has the right to use his discretion just as Prof Iwu used his but he has no right to tell us that the process was fair because he mistakenly included someone who secured a lesser number of votes in the tie. You may call it a joke or fun but this is the same attitude that will follow us when serious elections come around and he will also tell you that as far as he is concerned the election was free and fair and in fact remains the best - just as Prof Iwu scored the 2009 over 90% or so. Also, please stick to the topic as I have not asked you for any advice. Most of the politicians who loot the public treasury today may have started by stealing pencils in primary schools and I am sure people like you would have told others who complained that they are over reacting because the cost of pencil is small. On some issues there are no middle grounds. Nigeria is the way it is because of people like you who would effortlessly support any anomaly or illegality as long as it does not affect you directly but would shout to high heavens if it does. A simple admission or correction would have made sense but no, instead he chose to lock the thread, dismiss valid complaints, ascribe the election the best on the forum and you come here to talk about being judgmental? |
And he is a pastor in one of the new generation churches I hear? Wonderful! |
kosovo:The content in bold refers, it is obvious you don't understand the meaning of tie otherwise you wouldn't be talking about a tie. People sending you PM means nothing because such personal correspondence on a public forum is unnecessary. I did not claim the process was rigged (considering the fact that the process was still on as at the time), I claimed the process remains flawed for including a 3rd person and claiming a run off was necessary due to a tie when the 3rd person clearly had few number of votes than the first two that obviously had the same number. So, this is not about what you think. Claiming that the process was free and fair would not be any different from Prof Iwu that claimed that 2007 elections were free and fair. So, your personal opinion on this is completely immaterial. You must learn to live with your mistakes and blunders instead of trying to justify them. And we scream for change in Nigeria even when we cannot manage basic and simple voting process. |
Ibime:So the power rotation is about the over 250 ethnic nationalities and not the 6 geo political zones? This is new if true. |
