martinmiller: Character they say is the beauty of a woman and money is the beauty of a man that's why every man desires success and a luxurious lifestyle.
Moreover, few are willing to go through the right part of success in order to achieve it. There are certain things men do in their daily life activities that hinders their opportunity to success. They may see it as a way out of poverty, but woefully, it's the gateway to the throne of poverty.
There are many habits that can keep a man in the circle of poverty. Check them out below.
1. Gambling.
There is no such thing as getting rich quick. Financial success takes time, takes initiative, and requires relentless effort to achieve.
People who engage in gambling are deluded into thinking there is a shortcut to success. A lot of self-made millionaires today didn’t pursue any get-rich quick schemes. Instead, they make a habit of pursuing their dreams and their goals one after the other.
A lot of Nigerian youths believe so much in gambling that they made it a job. They have the believe that a single one hundred naira note can fetch them fifteen million naira. How long do intend on spending before you achieve that goal. Every known successful man today never earned their wealth from gambling.
2. Drinking Too Much Alcohol.
While the occasional glass of wine or beer is fine, drinking too much could reduce your chances to financial success. Do you know drinking too much could affect your memory and ability to think clearly ?. If you can't think and remember things clearly, how do you intend to make a plan for your financial freedom ?.
I'm not saying alcohol is evil but there is a limit to everything in life including the same alcohol. Some men believe it's never okay till they feel drunk. Only a poor man with a poor mentality thinks like that. 1-2 bottles of beer or even 2 glasses of wine is very much okay for a man with a goal in life. It doesn't mean you have to start drinking two glasses everyday. There are times when things are required in life. Say no to excessive intake of alcohol for your financial freedom.
3. Your Type Of Friends.
A wise man once said, Show me your friends and I will tell you who you are. Those words are absolutely true. Who you hang out with matters more than you may think.
Many rich people today changed their friends the day they decided to make wealth. Make a habit of associating with other success-minded individuals like you.
If you sorround yourself with drunkards and smokers, even if you don't drink or smoke, definitely one day you will see yourself doing it.
You are only going to succeed in life if you surround yourself with the right type of people.
4. Spending Too Much Time Infront Of The TV.
In a success study, it is revealed that 80% of poor people today spend more than five hours Infront of their television screen daily. Complete precious five hours.
Have you ever wondered why the most expensive cars and properties are not putting their advertisements on TV ?. The answer is simple, the people who buy and patronise it doesn't spend time on television so probably they can't see it.
The rich or success-minded people would rather be educated than entertained. They replace TV time with reading, thinking, exercising, or any other form of self education.
I'm not saying watching TV is something not important, but spending too much time on it. Spend more time in planning your map to success instead of watching people who followed their path to success.
5. Thinking Negatively.
Long-term success is only possible when you have a positive mental outlook to it. You can never be successful if you always imagine yourself poor. If you don't believe in yourself, why trying ?. You always have the thoughts of I cannot make it, that's one of the reasons you have not made it to success.
The problem for most people is that they’re completely unaware of their thoughts, positive or negative. If you stop to listen to your thoughts, to be aware of them, you would find most of them are negative. But you only realize you are having these negative thoughts when you force yourself to be aware of them. Awareness is the key.
Take your mind of negative thoughts. Replace them with positiveness. They say a believer is an achiever. Believe in yourself.
6. Doing A Job You Don't Love.
Toiling away at a job you hate will not only leave you stressed out and dissatisfied with life, it could affect your chances at getting rich because you don't appreciate the outcome.
The wealthiest, most successful people pursue their passions, you should consider doing the same thing in your working days in life. Do what you have passion for, work is fun. Passion defeats education, intelligence, skills, and any other advantage those who lack passion might have in life.
Passion makes work fun. Passion gives you the energy, persistence, and focus needed to overcome failures, mistakes, and rejection. It infuses you with a fanatical tenacity that makes it possible to overcome obstacles and pitfalls that block your path.
7. Spending too much.
Spending more than you make is the fastest and surest road to financial breakdown.
You can't be earning a salary of 50 thousand naira and be driving a car that requires maintenance of 15 thousand naira monthly, it leaves you with 35 thousand naira salary. You have groceries and rent to pay the same month with other little things to do with money. What happened to saving ?, What you save and plan for is very important even before the salary comes.
People who spend too much faces a lot of challenges, they have no money for retirement, for their kids’ college, or for pursuing opportunities that present themselves. Spending more than you earn and putting saving on your back creates long-term poverty, with no hope of escape.
8. Ignoring customers feedback.
At the end of the day, you might already have a business established, ignoring customers feedback on your products and services pulls your business down faster than the change in currency.
Fear of criticism is the reason we do not seek feedback from others. You have more chances of improvement if you listen to your customers feedback.
Feedback is essential to learning what is working and what isn’t working. Feedback helps you understand if you are on the right track. Seeking criticism, good or bad, is a crucial element for learning and growth.
Feedback provides you with the information you will need in order to succeed in future and make improvements.
That will be all for now. I hope this helped and educated you on some of the things you need to stop doing in life if you want to achieve success.
See you at the top !
Wealth and health it's God''s grace...we have alot of people that observe almost all business principle yet poor.
covid2019: I am in a dilemma worsened by this covid19.
I am a graduate male of 29 residing in the East. I still squat with a friend, not because I don't have money for house rent. But principally because I have been unable to figure out what I want to do with my life, hence renting a house feels like a commitment that might get me stuck.
I always feel I might move anytime soon-- to either another state or abroad for masters or just practice of my profession. Note that I didn't study a STEM course.
All these while squatting, I have been saving via my proceeds from hustles.
In the wake of this COVID19, I checked all my banks and found out that money I have in my account has lost so much value given the dollar rate.
I have 11.4 million, inclusive of my working capital, plus a rickety car valued at 350k. Each time, I need just 3-5m as working capital.
It seems that trying to save more is false economy and might be counter productive.
NOW, I AM CONSIDERING buying a plot of land and erecting a small house even if it's 3 rooms. This, I think will serve as investment that will keep appreciating and also serve as residence.
Or just open a domiciliary account to hedge against naira fall and continue saving. What do you think please?
Use the 11m to sow seed in any Christ believing church...and you will see what God will do in your life. Or if you can't do that, lend me 2m to pay 3m within 12months.

BusinessInflux: WHATSAPP, The American freeware, cross-platform messaging and Voice over Internet Protocol (IP) service owned by Facebook has gone a step further, making it possible for its video call feature to admit as much as eight people simultaneously in a call.
Users of Android and iPhone can now add twice the previous number of people allowed in a video call on WhatsApp.
Facebook, the parent company of WhatsApp disclosed the latest quirk in a Video Call News last week. According to the report, the Video Call upgrade is now accessible for iOS and Andriod device users running the newest model of the application.
The new quirk on WhatsApp, which at the moment is the most actively used messaging application with over 2 billion users around the globe, provides a more suitable substitute for other Conference call platforms like Zoom, Houseparty, FaceTime, as well as Skype.
Nevertheless, though WhatsApp still dawdles with some of the big players in the game like Google Duo which allows 12 calls at a time; Google Meet with as much as 100 people for private users and 250 for business and educational purposes; Apple's FaceTime allowing 32 callers and Zoom permitting 500 callers on priced premium, the messaging app-WhatsApp is now in the category with Houseparty allowing 8 callers as well.
Also, the video call upgrade on WhatsApp is not exempted from the end-to-end encryption security that the app adopts to prevent externals including WhatsApp itself from viewing or listening to personal conversations. With the issues of cyber hacking, this upgrade is just right on time.
While the world is on lockdown from the Coronavirus pandemic, video call applications and platforms have become a basic necessity for catch-ups with family and friends as well as for business and educational communications.
WhatsApp's parent company, Facebook also recently introduced Messenger Rooms on Facebook which allows for shared videos and text conversations by a large group. Contacts outside and across the Facebook family of apps such as Facebook Messanger, Instagram and WhatsApp can be drafted to Messenger Rooms allowing for as much as 50 persons to communicate at the same time.
Messenger Rooms can be created on Facebook Messenger or Facebook itself, either the application or website version. The highlight of some of Messenger Rooms' features includes the use of Augmented Reality (AR) to adjust on-screen looks, 360-degree backgrounds that include a giant ball pit, a black hole and more, adjustable lighting mode to improve video calls.
Commissioner i do not have option than to honour with you with the award title...As a Commissioner of Foolish leaders. What concerns: "...this is not the first time security agents have arrested people for insulting President Buhari. Omoyele Sowore was arrested for organizing #RevolutionNow protest and for insulting Buhari" with your current case?
They wanted money not rice. Any governor that is serious should reject monthly allocation from the federal. That is when we know you are a serous governor.
That girl is smart, 26years old woman! While some of her age mates are still living with their parents writing and rewriting jamb or still depending on parents to buy them pads. What is the difference between her business and local registered guess inn? The difference is that she does not have finance to establish. Let her relocate and start allover again as she is even better than those fake men of God everywhere.
DANGOTE BECAME A BILLIONARE BECAUSE FG GAVE HIM MONOPOLY- NNAMDI KANU
I will like to reiterate that no billionnaire in Nigeria that does not have the backing of the beast (Government). So Mr kanu wake up because we also know you are being sponsored by a franchises of the same government. Boko haram went this far because some part of the government are behind them.
I fear COVID 19 more than Satan! If health workers that are professionally trained to tackle COVID 19 pandemic can be infected...then I ask myself! Who the hell am i.? I suspect me every second. Guys please Stay safe because its real
just forget, even "senior" staffs don't know how not to show their selfish interest. IPPIS is just a way to curb staffs from collecting salary from more than one avenue, I don't know much about the senior staff but let me talk about the academic staff.
Let me paint a scenario for you, most federal Universities has a part time lecturer that has a full time job in another university, this is not bad but look at the case of some lecturers that go for part time lectures in as much as 3-4 other institutions, this way they are even making 3-4 people jobless because that could have been a job for fresh graduates.
I believe the IPPIS is meant to cover just one more visiting apart from your salary, ASUU will never tell you this but I will, those lecturers that have 2-3 part-time lecturing job will not want IPPIS because it will block the salary of the part-time job. I can tell you that I know of a lecturer that has 4 part time lecturing job in another federal university, please, how will such a person have time for his own full time job, he will be joggling within states just to meet the other while not being able to put a focus on any of them, I was taught by one of them and he never had our time, then we run marathon class so as to cover up for his absenteeism.
ASUU are just motivated by selfish interest, they will never tell you this, this is not the first time that the government is changing their payment system, and it's not like their salary will be reduced, it is just those with too much of an extra work that will be affect.
the IPPIS was introduced to create transparency, yes, there are irregularities but that can definitely be sorted with time.
it is only the government that can be castigated by changing the way they want to pay their staff, could that happen to a private firm?
ponder on this.
You are wrong. IPPIS systems cuts off allowances, salaries. My wife is with them and I knew how much they cut off from her salary. Another challenge they have is the issue of loan repayment, most cooperative and banks lenders can no longer deduct from source. Coming to the multiple jobs as a lecturer...no institution can give permanent job to a lecturer already employed.

Lordave: As Bayern made a post encouraging the frontline fighters against Coronavirus Pandemic, many Nigerians seized the opportunity to beg for alms.

It is better to beg than to die hungry. It is better to beg than to money ritual It is better to beg than to steal and be burnt alive It is better to beg or ask or request or knock all na begging.
Who are you fooling! Which politician will recommend people for such a dirty job. Why haven't you raised alarm over all the juicy and hidden employment under your nose by the same politicians? Sure they have told you to completely be in charge of the low paying employment job. Who be mumu?
Olalan: The political class in Nigeria is just after their selfish interests and pockets... All the political parties have the same ideology of selfishness
It may also surprise you to know that most district heads do not want development. They prefer to collect money for personal use instead of social or infrastructural development. Sincerely! If you see a governor that is active in Nigeria...then we should give credit to the leaders in such states.
