i have always had that opinion too ,i hope the board and manager dont disappoint this time.to the guy who said there are no alternatives to fellaini there are several disgruntled world class players at RM,Barca,Bayern etc right now.
RM just bought Isco and Illaramendi for big bucks and they are Spanish plus Ancelotti is a Kaka admirer.Modric and Khedira would surely find opportunities limited.Alex Song is gaining weight on the Barca bench and some Bayern stars will soon start getting accustomed to their own bench too

not too intrude on your debate with coogar but in his defense he did say when they play together i.e partner in a 2 man midfield.
so the crucial things there are TOGETHER and 2 MAN MIDFIELD.yesterday was basically a 3 man midfield with carrick sitting,cleverley linking and anderson making runs ahead,it wasnt a 2 man partnership

there are always choices especially this early in the transfer window.the club just has to be proactive that is all.
i believe we need a player who is mobile,good defensively but also importantly very good in possession especially passing(not necessarily through passes etc but recycling the ball).fellaini doesn't really fit that description

i am suspecting fellaini is d CM target moyes has in mind.if he does come i just pray he becomes a success cos i hav serious doubts abt d guy

getting really scared about this season.
a new manager should have a smooth transition especially when taking over a big job like the United job.however from what i am seeing Moyes will have it really tough to start the season.
1)potentially Rooney,Vidic,Smalling,Young and Nani unfit
2)Rooney will he/wont he rumors not dying down
3)our preferred targets going to other clubs.if we lose Thiago and Strootman what other options are there out there? R we back to Fellaini and Baines? i am not sure we need Baines at the price quoted and Fellaini is not dynamic enough for me (would prefer Axel Witsel)

Barthez was always an erratic goal keeper right from his pre bald Marseille days.he was an excellent shot stopper and no GK could pick a team mate with either arm or leg from 50 yards away like Barthez. I also doubt that Buttner is the answer from what i have seen of him.his postioning isn't good and he often resorts to last ditch tackles,on the other hand he has got some pace and he overlaps well.he could be a good sub at LB but not first choice for now

According to Dennis Irwin Cesc Fabregas is the priority signing for the United board.I don't think we will sign both Fabregas and Thiago Alcantara,i guess it will be a more defensive minded midfielder e.g Strootman plus either Thiago or Fabregas.

i think u r right,strootman is the more technically proficient of the 2 but though he is strong for the dutch league he is not the physical specimen that wanyama is

de gea could have done better with the shot,maybe parried it further away from goal.however rafael has to learn how to protect his keeper from rebound goals,he is usually caught ball watching in such situations(made d same mistake against bilbao last season)

nice one,i am happy for him.if he can defeat his injuries he would be a good addition to the squad with his ability to play both full back positions.

With both rooney and ashley young out injured and welbeck down with illness SAF hands were tied a bit concerning Giggs(and he had one of his best games of recent times).the only issue is i might have preferred TomC to start ahead of Scholes in order to prevent the 2 oldies starting together or preferably Carrick n Fletcher so dt Cleverly can rest(not sure of Fletcher's fitness though).
Fact is SAF always rotates around this period when games come thick and fast

carrick was very good help but he needs more help in protecting the defence

he appears to be regaining some of his old form but fact remains that most of his recent goals have not been through just "vertical" passes and quick release from the Chelsea half.he is scoring the same chances he has been missing for almost 2years.Torres problems were of his own making and only he can solve them

i remember when we had d valencia debate last season and guys were defending him.fact is u can be so predictable if u r in d backwater called Wigan but in United where every team studies and prepares for you like its a final u will be found out,just a matter of time.
a mitigating factor is dat it seems he has been slowed by injuries dis season,however its clear to all dat rafael makes his job a whole lot easier

i have always been uncomfortable with valencia's overwhelming dependence on his right foot,its a serious shortcoming dt i felt would count against him in the long run.i hope its just a blip in form but it seems that fullbacks have finally realized that if u take out d outside channel u nullify him as a real threat.PLUS phil jones is no rafael as a wing play partner

rooney and valencia were both poor,it was as if they were having a 'stink up the place" competition(i think rooney won btw).
its also very obvious that despite carrick's best efforts there is little protection for the back 4 from d midfield.
