a 3rd bid for fabregas being prepared? now this is getting embarrassing.if this is rejected as well we better look elsewhere.the only thing giving me a glimmer of hope is that fabregas has not come out to publicly repudiate the move |
dayokanu: Gustavo currently is still better than every Man Utd midfielderis it cos he plays for ur club or just because he plays in ur beloved german league? dayo i am not surprised.in ur opinion Goethe is better than Shakespeare(as a playwright),Luftwaffe greater than RAF,Rommel greater than Monty.in the United system i cant see Gustavo performing better than Carrick |
hopefully not to chelsea.a revitalized rooney under mourinho with all the other good players in chelsea is not a nice thought.i would prefer we kept him,but if we want to sell him sell to arsenal, psg, monaco etc |
gustavo is an okay player than complements a good team,he is not the player you want when you want the team to step to the next level |
coded guy: Two midfielders is what we need, A fab and fellaini will be OK. Just that they reject our offer the way we are rejecting chelsea.I agree with you.2 midfielders 1st one more of a central midfielder like fabregas, modric, dembele etc 2nd one more of a defensive midfielder.and that is where i disagree with people who want fellaini in that position.his indiscipline and inconsistent passing will make him a liability in that position( box to box yes,but DM no) |
spurs are overloaded but the deadweight are more likely to be tom huddlestone, scott parker, lewis holtby or carroll than dembele who was one of their best performers last season.going for dembele would be either too expensive or more likely a waste of time. daniel levy is like jean michel aulas he squeezes the last drop out of a deal, the easiest quality target in my opinion is Modric at RM. |
chrisley024: I see Fellaini as the last bus stop after all these smokes n mirrors.i am starting to get the same feeling too.i am not really a fellaini fan but it seems the signs are pointing in his direction: 1)he is a midfielder with EPL experience 2)he is a player the new manager has worked it and likes 3)Everton is a smaller club less likely to reject United's advances I have always been an admirer of Modric and would prefer a Modric or Fabregas AND a more physical midfielder beside him. |
dembele alone will cost north of 20 million pounds.spurs bought him from fulham just a season ago for 15million pounds and he still has years left on his contract.when u factor in that daniel levy is a modern day akubuzo you know it will be a protracted and expensive process. |
what about modric,fellaini? |
debosky: Which kain yeye significant authority? how many titles has he won? SAF had authority because of his achievements, which DM still has to build up.i concur.surely moyes had to know his choice of words wasnt the best possible especially given the situation on ground with rooney already.and there was no need stating RVP was no1 even if that might be true,in certain cases it is best to keep your own counsel. |
she needs to come to my hospital for a COMPREHENSIVE "medical" before she is allowed into the nigerian music scene ![]() |
doesn't make sense for fabregas to leave barcelona both for fabregas and for the club. the club needs strength in depth and he is some one that can solve several problems for them in central midfield, attacking midfield and even in attack. fabregas has no reason to leave cos xavi is getting on in age and after all fabregas started more league matches than xavi or iniesta last season.he was also near the top in terms of goals, assists and pass completion for the club. |
nitlad: Pissing in everyone's nostrils at Under 21? When Illarra dey beast the midfield against Barca in La Liga, making dem Xavi look like mortals, wey Thiago bin dey?LWKMD.But in all honesty it looks like Thiago's skill set would translate very well into the senior game.he is not bigger, stronger or faster at under 21 level,he is just better |
add pogba,kondogbia etc |
see roforofo lol. @ nitlad i no forget ilaramendi o,just that they r too many to mention.like i said earlier a very good generation of young gifted midfileders.i saw a few in the just concluded under 20 world cup in turkey(quintero at 20yrs and de arascaeta at 19yrs).rily good footballers |
dayokanu: No one would pay a premium for "Puri" and "Egun Ori" football, You can pay 20,000 for Tresor Mputu, Lokondo Mpenza or Taiye Taiwo to give you that.haa ramsey na player? abeg how ebute meta take resemble nantucket? pls oo i know the brits hype their players however wilshere has better close control than d average english player and actually is a pretty decent passer wit good vision |
A-40:that list is a tough one to rank i accept.i wont rily argue either way this is one of the best crops of young midfielders football has been blessed with BUT i think Gotze and Thiago are the best of the lot. for thiago u cant bar favoritism cos we r all human and remember that promises have already been made concerning his chances of making next year's world cup |
enjoy na ur time |
dayokanu: Wilshere lacks the silky touches of the rest . He plays more with "agidi" and what we call "Egun-ori" Gundogan is more silky with his touchesLMAO at agidi and egun-ori.point well taken and i agree that wilshere is less silky but sometimes agidi pays. kroos wasnt competing with players like gotze and thiago who are both younger and most likely better than him. the bayern midfield now is much better than 3yrs ago. it is that midfield MINUS some poor outsiders PLUS gustavo, javi martinez, gotze and thiago |
aaahhh daniel nardiello! LOL. i agree with u.he is one for d future though wit d right coaching and management. |
yeah i was really impressed.he is one for d future, however there might be some problems finding his best position.he is not a winger in my opinion and better in attacking midfield with 2 minders behind him |
no cause for alarm yet but if strootman signs for roma, modric extends with madrid, fellaini goes to arsenal, bale goes to madrid .....u get d drift? i might push panic button o ![]() |
LOL i knew u would rate Wilshere last. i would say Gotze,Thiago,Oscar,Isco,Wilshere,Gundogan and Kroos. Kroos last cos i believe his progress will slow down at Bayern now wit all d competition for places. Gundogan and Wilshere r quite similar but one is a bit more dynamic than d other. |
let me start fasting and praying for Strootman and Modric.i have been asking for Modric for 2 yrs now |
dayokanu: A 25 yr old is now a young player. Since 2003 10years ago how many world player of the year were olderDayo in ur rating how would u rank Thiago,Gundogan,Oscar,Wilshere,Isco,Gotze,Isco,Kroos. |
yemmight: You are just here defending this coach. The Paulino guy u mentioned is Totehamm player already. We lost a player that is rated above iniesta in Barca. For pep to add up such player in addition to full loads Bayern has got means the coach is damn serious. We should do away with overrated English players like ur choice they are really affecting our team.who is rated above iniesta in barca? hope u r not talking about thiago cos that aint true.he is good but not that good yet |
dademola: bt serzly, hw did dt wanyama end up at southampton?? Ts obvious dos at d helm of affairs dont see things d way we do here shapeople no trust wanyama age ni o! d guy fit be 22 turning 30! ![]() |
paulinho will turn 25 next week,he is at his physical peak so we shouldnt classify him as young.a good age would be 23 and under i.e those who would automatically qualify to play in the olympics (oldest age group competition) |
elampiro: Sincerely that Paulinho is very good. But I heard Madrid are there already negotiating.i belive he has already signed for Spurs |
Mr_TA: I agree with proactive, but not looking at rejects. I see what you meant about the right type of players being available but they have to be the right players.yes, very tough.our rivals are improving their squads also.so who are the players you would love the board to sign? |
Mr_TA: So we should waiting for the rejects of the other teams? It doesnt matter wether other clubs rejected them or not, what matters is do they fit into our squad and improve it. King Eric was a Leeds reject, Howard Wilkinson didnt like him and wanted him out of the club. if Madrid reject Modric and Bayern reject Schweini i will take them over Fellaini abeg.and i wasnt saying we wait,i said the club has to be PROACTIVE.make serious inquiries now and see which top midfielder u can get.however fingers crossed they are already doing something positive.i remain optimistic and loyal |
depends on who you qualify as a midfielder, what you mean by young and what ur parameters are.there would always be disagreement on who the best at anything is in football(apart from best footballer LOL) but players like Gotze,Gundogan,Wilshere,Oscar,Isco have all performed consistently at club level on a weekly basis.....we have only seen month long cameos of what Thiago can do.i am not saying he is over rated but best young midfielder is up for debate IMO |
