i agree Song has limitations esp when it comes to positioning however one has to take into consideration the fact that he was one of the better performers in that Arsenal side.
i will take Song over Anderson especially if he will be partnering Carrick whose strong points are positioning interceptions and passing.beside carrick song can do all the closing down and fletcher-like work while carrick can still screen d defence and make plays from deep as he is doing now.i for one am tired of the often injured and always overweight anderson,we have been waiting for him to fulfill his potential for years now.thats how ajax were feeding ikedia high protein diet thinking he will grow taller,he just dey thick

i agree with you baines isnt rily needed. we have a good left back in evra, a sub left back in buttner and the twins who can be 3rd and 4th choice there when necessary.
i also have my doubts abt fellaini, most of his good work seems to be done in d opposition box and thats not wat we need.
we need someone whose best qualities are covering ground in central/defensive midfield, passing the ball excellently & keeping possession and tackling NOT someone who wins headers nd knockdowns in d opposition box area

bros I have been a United fan for 20 years and a diehard one at that when I was a teenager (results dey affect me for secondary school and Uni days). My assertion remains that in that time we have lost more influential and more talented players than Rooney and the success has continued. whats more if a player wants to leave LET HIM GO! even u rooney's PA said u were angry with all d silence and suspense from his camp. no b by force to play for United, if he is not happy being paid the kind of money he is getting while winning countless trophies sell him

montelik: If we let Rooney go, we will absolutely need a replacement for him and Mata is a solid replacement with EPL experience. He can play attacking midfield, behind the striker and is more natural playing left wing/forward unlike Rooney. RVP, Chicha and Welbeck will play as primary strikers and Mata is an upgrade over Rooney's present contributions from midfield or behind the striker.

Not a fan of Oscar and I don't think he fills what we are missing in central midfield. If Chelsea were to offer £15m plus Mata I would take it even though it is a little cheap. Use the money to grab De Rossi to partner Carrick. Then pick up another solid central midfield prospect to cover potential injuries e.t.c.

While both De Rossi and Carrick are both the wrong side of 30, they are at their respective peaks so there will be no growing pains, confusion or lack of consistency as with Tom C, Ando, Powell and the other youngsters. Next summer if Ando amd Tom C haven't shown the necessary improvements, we hit the market early for long term replacements for Giggs and Carrick, as well as look to sign other prospects.
