Abi o. We love sentiments. Someone was doing workout to clear his head, you bring your own matter join. He is a human being for crying out loud. There are various ways she could have put her issue across. This is just a political gimmick. Mid term elections are coming

Can you correct your native language too? See the way you are almost crying for another man's language. More than half the world do not speak or understand english. Never allow anyone belittle you for minor mistakes in the language. A man's capacity is judged not by the words from his mouth but by the works of his hands. Shame!

Education › Re: Why Are School Children Not Repeating Classes Again? by afroxyz: 12:33am On Oct 25, 2018
Adiwana:
Maybe different eras or settings but the ones i knew never did well.It was more of asking someone who had higher percentage of repeating again to do same thereby revolving in the same cycle. Why do you think people repeat twice??if there was a 90% chance of that person topping his classes after repetitions then the issue of repeating twice should never exist and schools will encourage it more because it then brings out the best in students.Afterall if my child repeating a class will make him to top his current and subsequent classes, then i wouldnt mind sacrificing that one year

In my personal opinion, the issue of repetition is not common these days because we are now moving away from the narrative of going to school to be successful .You tell your kid to repeat once, maybe twice. All for what?? 50k salary at the end of the day or being unemployed. So its now why waste that kids time all in the name to repeat??
School is not all about acdemics. There is also character building and values which you would need in the bigger society. Repeating a class makes the child know that to get something you have to work for it. Such mentality can spur him into entrepreneurship and being his own boss instead of waiting for people to hand him crumbs. If you know all this, why do you send your child to school then?

How will I be paying 250k to 300k per session and you are telling me that my child has to repeat a class. Make sure he passes. That's why I'm paying you..
In other words you are using money to buy grades. If I may ask, to whose detriment?

Nairaland General › Re: Something Is Generally Wrong With Nigerians!!! by afroxyz: 9:12am On Oct 22, 2018
Famzer:
In life it's what you focus on that expands, there is nothing strange about having deviants in a society. If you study sociology you would have been taught. Some months back,British teenagers were sneaking out of UK to join ISIS and the whole world was shocked with repeated school and public shooting massacres in the US.
In that same Jos,an imam provided safe haven for Christians during religious skirmishes. The same Nigeria defeated recession while countries filled with angels like Greece and Venezuela couldn't. This is the Nigeria that's the biggest economy in Africa and trudging on despite our flaws. Instead of lamenting and displaying subtle subterfuge, why don't you pick one area of our national problems as a university graduate and dedicate your best towards solving that problem. You will then have a basis to mobilize others. True leaders don't lament, they face challenges head long and never stop until they overcome the problem.
Finally, when the naysayers say there's casting down,I will say there's a lifting up.
This is our problem. Rather than take stock and seek how to be better people we keep shifting the bulk to the next person. Through his write up is it not clear to you that he has identified the problem of value and character and is seeking to remedy it through his write up? Or did you just want to comment. Choosing to end your quote with a biblical passage whereas the people that brought the religion to you have abandoned it and developed themselves.
Politics › Re: Nnamdi Kanu On Igbos With Yoruba Pastors. (throwback Video) by afroxyz: 7:47am On Oct 22, 2018
ezeagu:
One thing about African people in general is that all of this strife was manufactured by outsiders, Igbo, Yoruba, Fulani, etc didn't know themselves as one thing 200 years ago, but the same outsiders are allowed to go to any African country freely without the repercussions of all the fighting. Nigeria, as can be seen from how US statesmen and other Western leaders simply appear every election time, is ran by Western interest, just like any other African country.
This is what I have been telling people. The different ethnic groups were trading before the white men came. Now these white demons are seen as angels

olujastro:
As it stands, Atiku is only guaranteed to win the SE alone in 2019. The ruling party has made good in-roads in the SS and I expect them to perform much better there, particularly in Edo, Rivers, AkwaIbom, Delta and perhaps Crossriver. Atiku is going to lose big time in the NW and NE. If you doubt, check the results of the recent bye-elections and wait for the upcoming ones in the same Bauchi and Katsina.
The SW and NC are usually battle grounds with roughly split votes and looks good for the ruling party. The boycott only makes PMB's victory easier.

It's high time the SE got ready to play inclusive national politics. Nobody gives you anything in life. You have to work for it, earn it and eventually take it (Ask Tinubu). That has been my mentality right from my childhood, so I strive for whatever I desire in life and demand less from people or nothing at all.
Having a victim mentality only makes you feel marginalised. No region in Nigeria has it better than the others. Bad roads, poor electricity, no water, etc. abound in all 6 zones. Lagos and Abuja are simply ex and current capitals and must naturally get better govt attention.

Ignore the preaching of hatred and focus on good governance. Else, you'll end up being bitter and hateful if the candidate you voted against wins an election.
Stay open minded and peaceful.
Your calculations are wrong. Are they based on facts or preconceived notions? Which inroads in SS? Mentioning Delta and akwa ibom? Even the middle belt won't vote for Buhari. Even in the SW, I don't think Buhari would win by a landslide. Don't forget that the presidential election comes last. APC states may use federal might to secure their governorship slots then sabotage Buhari in the presidential elections. If Buhari wins the election, it would be as a result of collossal rigging. After all, Obasanjo did not need yoruba votes to win in 1999

To those Christians judging Eckankar as occult group, they are only exposing their ignorance.

Take it or leave it, Christ Jesus remain an occult figure.

You 'cover' yourself with BLOOD of Jesus, what can be more occult than that?

Is it the concept of trinity, or the many esoteric teachings of Jesus, the cross, the Eucharist/holy communion or the MYSTERY of his birth?

It is my feeling that the so called Christians always reject the true occult Christ to embrace the Christs of their ideals. And nothing is responsible for this but fear - fear of the unknown.

Note..¤ I'm not an eckist, neither do I belong to any sect, religious or esoteric group. I'm a seeker without brand. But I love Jesus.
Thank you!!!! Finally someone with some brains to seek out the truth rather than being spoon-fed by family and religion

So because he stays with his parents he shouldn't have a brain or opinion of his home? Someone who probably is in University? What is wrong with us in this country. Are we breeding adults or babies? Why can't we allow a different opinion flourish.
