mazzi: bro u rilli understand wotz happening.this where i hate people like okukpe, gulak, maku, omokiri, abati and rest cos the knw nothin abt propaganda.imagin apc presenting a person like buhari that has a dead image and these fools i mentioned still don't want to wake up and do their job.how much will it take pdp to pocket 80percent of hungry nigeria media?how will it take pdp to pocket hungry nigeria bloggers?thanks to ait and fani kayode if not... May be the believe in reaching out directly to people at the grassrot, which apc seems not be doing. You see! That is the problem with u guys. You are so shameless and wicked. Imagine, you are encouraging the govt to use economic tools to wage a propaganda war. They should use money to induce 'hungry' press and thereby earn their support. You should be ashamed of yourself at these your preposterous suggestions. You are not encouraging the govt to govern well, and as such let the small money the press guys are earning make a meaning for them and their families. In fact, if this happens, they will write well about the govt without the need for any financial inducement. But what your brain and level of morality, fails to understand is that.... ...there are still people with high integrity & unparalleled ethical convictions among our pressmen and bloggers, who will not sell the future of this country for a plate of porridge. That is the reason what u suggested has not been possible. Sorry . And it is not as if they are not trying, but we still have upright people who will report against Jonathan or Tinubu or Fashola when they mess up, no matter the consequences. |
Politics › Re: Apc Rules The Press Thats Why They Seem Popular: Pdp Still The Party To Beat--- by agabusta: 11:05am On Dec 13, 2014 |
You guys should stop all this your propaganda. The support of the press is almost equally shared by the two major parties.
Then there is the neutral press. Now, the neutrality of the 'middle press' will seem to tilt towards the APC because the ruling party has not performed up to satisfaction.
If the neutral press reports the rot in the FGN, biased people will tend to think they are for APC. But in effect, they may just be reporting the news as it was.
Also, because of the propensity of flops by the ruling party, even the press that is under their control will at one time or the other carry negative reports about them, otherwise they will lose their readers appeal; especially if a sensational event occurred and they fail to carry it, or they twisted the story too much in their reportage. |

Daguccizgreat: You mean ur fellow muslim Apc colleagues? Tell that to the birds. For over 50 years ur brothers have rule and sent Naija backwards including the so called buhari so spare us the sermon. You need to have your brain examined. Infact u need a brain surgery to remove bigotry from there cos it has eaten so deep into your grey matter that it has even affected your reasoning. Do the maths of the period Christians have presided over this country and that of when muslims have and u'll see the surprise u'll get. I'm a christian, we have only one muslim in my office & he was not even around. Among my colleagues are igbo guys sef, for your information. And one person from Edo state. Misrule has no religion nor tribe. It affects everybody. This your religious propaganda is now stale. It's no longer working. The people have already seen beyond these lies. Jonathan has demonstrated in the past 5 years and counting that he is not capable of presiding over this country in an excellent and just way. So why introduce sentiments. It's only dullards and cowards that try to use religious and ethnic sentiments to gain support. |

Everybody was so so happy. I felt like shedding tears of joy. Infact i never believed it. I also checked my BB after he was declared winner and saw a good number of people using him as their BBM display pix and canvassing votes for him in the general election. However, I want the APC to seriously weigh the pros and cons of either candidate on the ticket. Please edit and add the CV of Oshiomole, Rochas and Oby. Kenai: Please, don't ever insult Nelson Mandela's name like that again. Don't ever try it again. Never in your life should you attempt this again.
Nelson Mandela was a man who fought for the well-being of his race in the face of oppression. He was locked in jail for 27 years, but never backed down. He stood his ground, was tortured and humiliated, but took it and smiled. He looked out for his race, and fought, AND bled, for the RIGHTS of his people.
You can never compare that to a geriatric old nincompoop who toppled a democratic government and committed countless acts of human rights abuse against the people he was supposed to lead. You can never compare Mandela to an illiterate who strangled press freedom, destroyed human rights and oversaw numerous unlawful executions during his regime. A man who passed retroactive laws to execute people.
You internet bum-lickers make my stomach churn with your disgusting sycophancy. Trash.
It is a crime against human intellect to even mention them both in a sentence. Never, ever, try this rubbish again. Buhari too was detained for about 3 years if I'm not mistaken. |

KHAYGOLD: Failure is not a failure until one stops trying. I see GMB as a future winner because he never give up. That is the kind of man we want as a leader, a man that will keep on trying in giving the best for his people if emerged as the President, a man that will give no excuse if he faces a challenge/problem, a man that has the will to carry on in the face of challenges. Abraham Lincoln contested 6 times and failed, but became the president of USA in his 7th trial. Siting myself as an example, I did WAEC more than 5times before I was given admission into the university, which doesnt make me a failure. I would have been a failure had I stopped trying, but now am a graduate with a huge salary payment. Bottom of my story is that, GMB ain't a failure, he's a success with a true Nigeria spirit. I hail your non-giving up spirit sir. More grease to your elbow. If nigerians as a whole would imbibe this spirit/feature of GMB, the country will be the best in africa. God bless my country, Nigeria. |

Politics › Re: PDP Agent Supervises Underage Voting In The North (picture) by agabusta: 11:22pm On Nov 30, 2014 |
Samchelsea: My observation... .A closer look at the ID card will reveal that the year wasn't actually 2011 but 2012 and the word in red look more like AGM(Annual General Meeting)
This wasn't an election ID card and the year wasn't 2011 and finally the person standing wasn't actually wearing it but it was photoshopped onto his neck by someone trying hard to paint a party in a bad light...come to think of it how come he was the only one snapped cos I for one know that during an election all party's agent are always present to supervise an election so why was only PDP agent there? And he was gladly looking on while his pix was taken with the rigging going on? My personal opinion/observation though! Stop defending the indefensible. You are already contradicting yourself. Imagine, you are claiming the inscription is 'AGM' you are also claiming the PDP logo was photoshopped on it. So if indeed it was photoshopped, it's only the umbrella tht can be photoshopped right? According to u, they left 'AGM' there and photoshopped only the umbrella. You are also claiming the year is 2012, well, either your phone or your eyes is not sharp enough. Bros tht is a temporary ID card used in voting in 2011 on that table. And what the official is opening is clearly a register of voter's names. |

Politics › Re: Breaking: IGP In A Shouting Match With Reps Over Siege On NASS by agabusta: 9:04am On Nov 27, 2014 |
Adminisher: Parliamentary system. Here we vote for the person not the party. The member is the representative of the people of an area in the national assembly. The people would not be disenfranchised because their rep changed parties. I disagree a little. According to our electoral laws, we vote for both. The person and party. That is the reason Ameachi became a governor even though his name was not on the ballot. His party won the election. And he was able to prove to the court that he was supposed to be the authentic candidate of the party. If you dont have a party, you cannot contest for an elective post in Nigeria. But the Tambuwal scenario is not difficult to understand. People are just trying to play smart. The constitution has given us the condition that may warrant a defection. Tambuwal claimed he is defecting based on this condition that there is a faction in his party in his state. What any aggrieved person can do is to go to court to ascertain if indeed his claim of a 'factionalisation' of his party is true. Not that a person not authorized by the constitution will on his own declare the speaker's seat vacant and then ask the speaker to go to court. It is an aberration which must be condemned by all well-meaning Nigerians. Everyone that loves this country should condemn this impunity by the ruling govt in its entirety where an obviously illegal act will be committed with the mindset that before the court rules on the case will take a while, and their selfish agenda would have been fulfilled. What this does is to set off a precedence that may come to haunt everyone later on. |

tuborme: The court only attends to the complainant, the APC refused to complain when their members defected....PDP presently has a case against its members who defected to the APC in the court. The court's inability to make a pronouncement on the matter is the reason for the current constitional crisis. In the developed world, the defection of any member of parliament automatically causes an election for the lawmaker's seat.
The reason is because people are expected to vote lawmakers based on their party leaning and party manifestos and not personality. When a conservative zone votes in a member because of his conservative party, and he defects to a liberal party later...it is believed that the conservative view of the majority of that zone is no longer being represented.
We need to get things right in this country so that democracy can work for us. You are wrong. That is not the legal position in the UK and US. Majority of them resign on personal convictions. There is a particular Senator tht defected from the Republicans in the US and even tilted a major voting to the Democrats' advantage. He didn't even resign. It's a popular story on the internet, if u care to do the research. **u can read up the story of the US senator here: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_JeffordsFor the UK house: John Quentin Davies, Baron Davies of Stamford[2] (born 29 May 1944) is a British Labour Party politician who was the Member of Parliament (MP) for Grantham and Stamford from 1987 to 2010. Originally elected as a Conservative, he defected to Labour on 26 June 2007. Davies announced in 2010 that he would not stand for re-election in the coming general election.
