Kenya's Special forces

Kind of Kenyan and other nations' AMISOM men needed now to find and eliminate the top tactical field commanders and motivational leadership of El Shabbab.

Notice important things the SF leader explained.

1. Maximum age for these SF men is 37 years of age, old men not allowed, get old and get out of service, your experience does not matter, your body organs and blood is too old to do high tempo high stamina SF operations.

2. War all over the world has now changed, moved from conventional to irregular/assymetric, and moved again to terrorism/criminality, we mow have 3 types. This is what I have been saying, there is a need for anti-terrorism SF training for CT-COIN SF men, its a different skill and experience from traditional army SF who don't have special depth knowledge of Islamic terrorism.

When you tell people truths on this forum, they keep arguing with you from a blind point of view.

Fighting M23 rebels is totally different from fighting El Shabbab Islamic terrorists, the enemy philosilophy and modus operandi are very different, so the tactics must be different, and training must be different.

NA has about 5,000 army SF, but is building another and a brand new 5,000 troop anti-terrorism SF.

Way to go for AU and UN.

Meanwhile, check out Tunisian SF guy's pouches loaded like an armoury as their country becomes the new target of African terrorism...

2: @AUGUSTUS EUROPEAN HELP FOR YOUR UAV's

AMEBO research is sponsored by the NAF with contributions from the Cranfield University in the United Kingdom. However, more funding and political support is required to develop the UAV further. Looking at the 2013 budget of NAF, amounting to $420.6 million, no significant funding seems to be available, with over half of its budget being allocated to the re-activation of a number of aircraft in the inventory, which have been mainly grounded in the period following NAF’s attempt to topple General Ibrahim Babagida’s regime.

6:@AUGUSTUS NOTHING TO WRITE ABOUT REGARDING NAVAL DOCKYARD
The Naval Dockyard was commissioned in 1990 to equip the NN with the required technical capability to carry out major repairs and refits of ships locally as well as lay the foundation for the local construction of naval vessels. Accompanying the fleet expansion of the early 1980s, the NN embarked on an ambitious construction of a Naval Dockyard in Victoria Island, Lagos. The aim was to equip the NN with the required technical capability to carry out major repairs and refits locally.

There are 3 graving docks and a slipway at the NND. The main graving dock has a capacity of 10,000 tones with a dimensionof 180m x 24m x 12m. The twin docks consist of two 250-tons capacities each with dimension of 50m x 15m x 6m. There is also a slipway with a capacity of about 200 tones capable of taking up to 5 ship when refurbished. The existence of these infrastructures is a great potential for production of defence need such as ships and other watercraft.

The Platting workshop is one of the main hubs of shipbuilding. This workshop has modern equipment for cutting steel plates, welding and fabrication of complex structure. Other workshops necessary for shipbuilding at the NND include the Engine Test Bay, Steel, Carpentry, Effectors and Arsenal amongst others. All these workshops contribute to different types of defence need production. The quality assurance equipment such as hardness tester, ultra sonic thickness gauge, X-ray equipment, universal testing machine and pendulum impact machine are all functioning. The quality assurance equipment are critical possessions in ship and submarine building.

The Aerostar unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) acquired by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) in 2006 have reportedly been grounded due to a lack of maintenance, limiting surveillance operations against Boko Haram militants. Meanwhile the US has deployed a Predator team to Chad to search for kidnapped Nigerian schoolgirls. The nine Aerostar UAVs were acquired in 2006 and 2007 from Aeronautics Defense Systems (ADS), a company based in the Israeli capital Tel Aviv in a contract which also included the supply of unmanned patrol boats to the Nigerian Navy, bringing the net value of the contract to $260 million.

Except that your above stories do not agree with you.

Your talk about AFIT does not say Europe is building Amebo drone, it says AFIT as a college of technology got money grants from Cranfield university of Britain, even SA universities gets money grants.

Your talk about West Atlantic being a private company shows your ignorance. All over America and Europe today, 90% of defence industry is privately owned not government, American government does not produce F-16 jet you fool, a private company does the job !

Your Badeh Aerospace story does not say anything about Badeh's Gulma drone, its talking about Aerostar drone that are Israeli and had faults....but Badeh Gulma drone os flying high !

Your story about INKAS being foreign branch in Nigeria, is SAAB Grintek or Rheinmetall not Europeanforeign branches opened in South Africa?

Your talk about Nigerdock is false, and Nigeria has the biggest shipyard in Africa. Confirmed !

Your talk about Naval dockyard actually proves that it is doing a good quality job, thanks for admitting that fact.

According to SIPRI it is a licence built platform.

SIPRI does not track the sales of engines
SIPRI tracks engines its full of them !

Also SIPRI is a mere copy paste reporting agency, they do not probe licence agreement details of two business partners, its not SIPRI's job, tbey write what the dealer tells them and they have confessed that they SIPRI does NOT have complete information on Nigerian military deals, that is an official SIPRI confession.

Nigerian army is FINAL AUTHORITY on Igirigi and they have declared Nigerian army engineers designed it and manufactured it, with photo evidence of original prototype and developmental stages.

LOL what rubbish! Prove it!

Prove that manufacturing under licence now means importing engines. You make zero sense. The Cougar engine was imported for the Igirigi? Really? What engine is that. Please dig yourself into the hole. Prove it.

The story is very simple. Streit gave you a licence to assemble and rename their Cougar. Streit have a presence in Nigeria and their engineers worked with you on your variant of the Cougar, which you named Igirigi and tweaked in places. But in the end, it is an under-licence-Cougar copy, as designed by Streit and wrecked by Nigeria.
You show us the document licence content and prove that Streit built or owns Igirigi.

You brought the licence story, so show us details of the license that you brought, prove it !

As expected, there are claims that the sources are false and envious. grin grin

Luckily, these are secondary sources and the primary source is SIPRI. Also, "under licence" means you will have the right to give the Cougar another name and to also include some variants.

You probably went for the cheapest licence you could find; and that was one from Streit. So pathetic that they haven't even thought of withdrawing it if you will work in a workspace like what I posted.

LOL, all these months you kept claiming as yours what was in fact not yours. grin grin grin grin grin
SIPRI is refering to engine imported, same way Denel too imports engines.

According to on the FINAL AUTHORITY the Nigerian army, Igirigi is ours....

"The Igirigi Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) is the Nigerian Army’s locally manufactured armoured personnel carrier.

Designed and manufactured by the army Corps of Engineers , the APC was first introduced to the media during the 2012 Nigeria Army Day celebrations (NADCEL). While actual specs of the vehicle are still undisclosed, observers noted the remote control weapons station, and its IED deflecting V shaped hull.

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika, said the local production of APC had saved the nation at least 30 per cent of the cost of the foreign version and that the unveiling of the APC was part of the ongoing reform in the military and in line with the transformation agenda of the Jonathan administration."

Is Nigeria ready for an indigenous arms industry?

Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria. The British never forgave Ojukwu for the effrontery to attempt to remove Nigeria from her sphere of influence and he paid for it during the civil war. So if Nigeria must have her arms industry, President Buhari and his planners should take a long-term view of these considerations:

http://ynaija.com/is-nigeria-ready-for-an-indigenous-arms-industry/
"IN a speech during the graduation ceremony at the National Defence College in Abuja on August 8, 2015, President Muhammadu Buhari directed the Ministry of Defence to urgently articulate a proposal for the establishment of a Military Industrial Complex to produce weapons and other equipment for the country’s armed forces and reduce reliance on reluctant foreign suppliers.

Similarly, some fabrication Units at the sprawling Ajaokuta Steel Company could be part of the Complex. The Nigerian Navy Dockyards in Lagos and Port Harcourt, the Nigerian Air Force engineering and research facilities where ‘Gulma,’ the drone was developed, the Nigerian Aluminium Smelting Company and the country’s industrial research institutes, could collectively be brushed up and turned into the nucleus of the launch pad for the Military Industrial Complex."

africaken, one single supply route of weapons is enough to keep El Shabbab alive and fighting continuously for years. Also, there may be leakages in those areas that they no longer control along the coast. AMISOM needs to TOTALLY cut off the supply lines of El Shabbab or else you keep fighting until they frustrate you like Talban frustrated NATO in Afghanistan where the supply lines was Pakistani borders feeding Taliban with endless supply of weapons and ordnance.

Some reports say AMISOM has about 22,000 troops in Somalia and has been fighting there for about 10 years. Doing the same old thing won't give you a new result. That list of advise I wrote looks simple, but it is the result of many years of studying Islamic terrorism by people who have military knowledge including veteran NATO soldiers of Iraq and Afghan wars.

Ignore those presidents and politicians meetings and talks, we need action from military men, AMISOM should focus on a couple of selected battle tested Algerian and Nigerian military Colonels or generals who have personally fought and conquered Islamic terrorists and PMC of African or Israeli origin like STTEP and NIRTAL, the AMISOM high command tacticians should be talking to Colonel Eben Barlow as a contractor whom Uganda is familiar, he did a big job in Uganda agaisnt LRA 'Islamic' insurgency.

AMISOM can consider my advise or keep fighting El Shabbab for another 10 years unless a miracle happens. One last advise, Lt.Gen Rono has done a good job and ended his term now, so appoint a new 2016 AMISOM commander in chief, bring in an offensive/attack oriented/minded Algerian army General, a battle tested and success proven veteran of the 11 year war on GIA terrorists.

You also need to understand that the war on bokoharam and alshabaab might be similar but are on diferent battlefields, the one on bokoharam is on Nigerian soil.... you can deploy all means without having to seek approval, you can deploy thousands of troops and no one asks questions, you are in your own terrreign, you know the language, you know the people, you have complete sovereignty of what ever you do.

The only battle-untested country in Somalia is Kenya, Uganda has had its fare share of insurgency, Burundi too, Ethiopia has been fighting wars since pre-independence(There is a reason they werent colonized), but even them had to withdraw from Kismayu in 2005 beacause of the dynamics of Somalia, the politics of Somalia, only the Somalis know how to deal with... this is not just about winning battles, there is alot of politics involved. There is a team of 100 US special forces in Mogadishu, UK sent 300 royal marines as advisors to Somalia, and yes, there is already a team of AU advisors from different African countries in Mogadishu who go into the planning and policy organization of AMISOM missions... Go to their website
I advise you forget all those 400 American/British trainers and advisors, their military failed to defeat Taliban in Afghanistan after 13 years of war. Same NATO that trained Iraqi army that lost large chunk of Iraqi land and oil industry to ISIS militants.

AMISOM is better off with a PMC of African origin, Uganda is in AMISOM and have used Col. Eben Barlow's PMC to fight insurgency, why not Uganda advise AMISOM to hire STTEP ? Let Africa help Africa, that is what Col. Eben has been saying recently.

Nigeria and Algeria also had heavy politics involved in their war on terror, these countries have the experience of how an Islamist thinks and they will be very helpful, especially the Arab Islamic Algerian nation, they know all these fundamentalist philosophy and war tactics.

Also, Nigeria has the forest insurgency combat experience in Sambisa and Alegrano forests fighting Boko Haram for 6 years, Algeria has the desert war experience fighting the GIA terrorits, bros 150,000 innocent Algerian civilians were slaughtered by terrorists in cold blood inside their villages and towns.

Let Africa help Africa using our best resources, Ethiopia is a good conventional war force, but they have no experience of substantial success against the likes of Ansar ul Deen, Boko Haram, GIA, etc.

Maybe a good formula will be AMISOM fighting force + STTEP PMC advisers/trainers + ALGERIA advisers + NIGERIA advisers.

I think it's useful to call in the AU African Arab member nations into Somalian war on terror.

....the guy claims to be an SANDF officer who meets pilots of other African air forces in their homeland air force bases, yo need to prove he works in a bank, HSBC bank.

"I've actually visited both countries and I've seen their aircraft as well and met some of their pilots. They do have some capable pilots however they still make use of Ukrainian and Russia Pilots for various reasons.

In theory they are the only two sub Saharan African countries that have engaged in BVR aerial combat. However it's moot as to whether they continued their training after the war ended. Ethiopia perhaps but Eritrea much like Angola failed to work on the momentum it had."

Denel shareholder? Denel is 100% owned by the state, so he failed already. grin
Denel has 12 different subsidiary companies including non-defence businesses like real estate and buildings, http://www.denelproperties.co.za/ he could own shares in a subsidiary like that.

You need to prove him right
He said he is an SANDF officer and a DENEL shareholder, you disagree because you know him more than he knows himself, so it's up to you to prove him wrong and show us proof that he works in a bank as you claim....you make the claims against him, you need to prove him wrong or you remain silent for ever with no proof. Liar !

1. Did you really just quote a mans opinion from the comments section as fact? He is not known to be an SANDF officer and he is not known to be a Denel shareholder... He is involved in finance with one of the big banks (HSBC I believe).
Matthys Jacobs...He claims to be both, on defecnceweb, so YOU NEED TO PROVE HIM WRONG !
