It isn't a trainer version.

The pilot or navigator in the back seat can control stand-off weapons, with data link control UAV(s) or UCAV(s). He can also control or monitor the aircraft's advanced systems from sensors to EW equipment.
Show us photo of the fake imaginary 'advanced system sensors and EW equipment' inside the back trainers seat of the 2 seater Gripen cheesy

Then if 2 seater Gripen trainer version is the fake ISTAR version, it means all the real combat Gripen single seaters are NOT capable of ISTAR.

Anyway, you are telling lies, so.....

Who said it is only a trainer?
Manufacturer specs.

Gripen 2 seater is trainer version, a 12 year old kid knows that.

It does nothing more than the 1 seater except extra seat for student-instructor training.

I too can start story here that F-7 jet 2 seater version is a miraculous ISTAR version. Get it?

Nope, you said you would post your "uniform" and "gun"

So do it.

Lol (apparently PMC's have uniforms these days, and they issue accountants guns)

And you arent in the US .mil so the rest of your post is a waste of data
I never said I am a soldier, I always say I am a civilian.

I just proved to you that in America, any BSc holder can be a soldier, even if he has BSc Agriculture.

Yes PMC wear uniform in red zones and duty zones, they are like security guards in military zone or like mercenaries.

I am not an accountant in my present PMC job, I am in research team for field operations.

You think PMCs go to war wearing suit and tie, or T-shirt and boxer shorts ?

Post ATR-42 Radar range from your own source and I will post my handgun and camo.

Not only you can make demands, I can too, so I am making my own demand. Simple.

I dont know where you get 85km/h from... since JDAM's can be dropped with speeds up to mach 1.2

he weapon can be released from altitudes as high as 50 kft, at speeds up to Mach 1.3,

http://www.ausairpower.net/TE-JDAMPt1.html
Libya was first attacked in SEAD with over 100 units of Tomahawk missiles, not guided bombs, fool !!!

NATO will use cruise missiles and anti-radar/radiation missiles to first wipe out all your air defences before NATO jets go in with bombs.

By the time NATO jets fly in with bombs, your air defense weapons are already degraded to almost zero level effect.

Guide bombs are big, they are bigger than a human being ! Shilka radar will track it and the AAA guns will b.low it to pieces

A guided bomb has no engine like a missile or rocket, it runs on a simple low power battery ! It glides by fins through the air with free fall speed of gravity about average 85 km/hr, falling slowly like a snail, it does not shoot forward like a missile , you must be damn illiterate !

"When a plane drops a smart bomb, the bomb becomes a particularly heavy glider. It doesn't have any propulsion system of its own, like a missile does , but it does have forward velocity (by virtue of being dropped from a speeding plane). It also has flight fins that generate lift and stabilize its flight path." http://science.howstuffworks.com/smart-bomb.htm

How many science lessons will Nigerians have to teach you daily? Olodo cheesy cheesy

Mach 1.3 is missile speed !!!! Fool !!!

Show me a source with speed of SAAF Paveway Guided Bomb !!! Fool cheesy cheesy

The video below proves that guided bombs are slow air/gravity snail-speed, while air to ground missiles are rocket engine super-speed.

The Shilka has no CRAM capabilities. Do you want me to educate you again? .
You don't need CRAM to sh.oot down a snail slow bomb.

Guided bombs are 20 times slower than missiles.

Shilka radar will scan-track-target a guided bomb and accurately direct 4-barrel cannon fire to blew it into pieces 3km away !

SANDF has no air to ground missile. Unfreeze one frozen Gripen jet, sell it, and buy Maverick air to ground missiles , SANDF is cash-broke

Wow ! Butt-Hurt now resorts to racist remarks on a black man, well I know you are not black, so you call us Ape.

Your own source CLEARLY says Gripen Jet did less than half of ONLY RECONNAISSANCE in Libya, NOT any ISTAR !

I was just doing you a favour by saying 1 hour, your own source says Gripen jet loiter time in Recce in Libya was only 40 minutes in the air !

NATO did real ISTAR in Libya with NATO dedicated ISTAR aircraft E-3 AWACS flying 24 hours a day and Sweden sent SAAB 340 AWACS !

Any jet fighter with Reconnaissance pods can do Recce ! Gripen Recce is NOT different from an F-7PG jet equipped with Recce pods tongue tongue

South African air force has ZERO ISTAR capability in year 2014 ! NAF is your supreme ISTAR master ! tongue tongue

Again looking at your Gripen cockpit, how does this jet conduct the so called ISTAR?
Gripen does no real ISTAR, it does Recce, that is what NATO officially declared they did, and not alone, only 37% of the Recce was done by Gripen jets from Sweden. Real capable NATO Recce aircraft did the major Recce work in Libya, other aircraft did 63%.

NATO was afraid of the Shilka in the 1970's

How many JDAM's did the Shilka stop in Iraq (twice) or Yugoslavia or Libya?

Clown, CRAM ammunition was invented specifically to engage such bombs... and you think an old Shilka can do it?

Shilka is not a threat to the Gripen, Shilka is not a threat to anything modern except attack helicopters.
NATO has air to surface missiles to defeat the Shilka, but South Africa has NONE !

A high speed 1,500 km/hr air to surface missiles is as fast as a jet fighter and hard for a Shilka to shoot down, but a snail slow speed 85 km/hr South African Gripen guided bomb is a simple target practice for a Shilka radar and 4-barrel guns to tear into pieces !

ANC and SANDF-SAAF were stupiid enough to buy 26 Gripen jets and could not think of removing one Gripen from the shopping list and use the saved $50 million to buy BVR missiles and Maverick air to surface missiles. Nation of plum headed Olodos cheesy cheesy

@Henry-SA has more than $3trillion of mineral reserves in today's money more than what Nigerias 39 bn barrels of oil in reserve can make. SA is the world richest country in mineral reserves, the world's number one. That makes SA many a times richer than Nigeria.
Nigeria has more than oil, we also have gas and condensates as our second and third type of hydrocarbon. We also have many solid minerals in top world rankings, like Bitumen, Limestone, etc.

I proved it on this forum last year, Nigeria is the richest country in Africa by natural resources, second is Congo DRC.

In actual fact it is only protected against 7.62 with limited 23mm protection.

When people quote vehicle armour millimeters for you in summary, they only mention frontal armour, unless the person wants to write long story about six different armour thicknesses around the same vehicle on different parts.

Learn to use your head, a website posted BMP-2 summary below and all that was mentioned in the summary is 33mm armour

No, the Chally was penetrated by its own reactive armor. Caused by a one in a million shot. Fired by the most advanced RPG there is. And all that happened is that the driver lost a toe. Again, you are talking about something you know nothing about.

Meanwhile, when a BMP-2 gets hit by an old RPG-7

And yes, it is safe to say that not many rebel groups in the world have acess to top-of-the-line Russian RPG's
You personally old the most advanced RPG to Afghanistan terrorists?

The Challenger tank was hit by an RPG and the fact remains that it was penetrated. Simple.

The armour on the Badger IFV five times weaker than the armour of Challenger MBT that was penetrated by RPG.

Poland's Rosomak IFV in your own source was hit by an ordinary HE RPG-7 not Armour Piercing RPG or HEAT RPG-7 that penetrates even Main Battle Tanks that have 100mm solid steel armour. Does your Badger have the armour equal to a tank ? No !

Then according to your own source the Rosomak IFV was not the ordinary version, it was the special version with upgraded armour built to resist RPG. The report also says that an RPG was fired directly on the Rosomak IFV frontal armour which is always the thickest armour on any IFV.

"In early 2008 a Polish Rosomak serving in Afghanistan (the version with upgraded armor) was attacked by Taliban rebels. The vehicle was hit by two RPG-7 rockets. In June 2008 a Rosomak was attacked by Taliban and was hit in its frontal armor with a RPG. The armour was not penetrated."

Old RPG-7 HEAT shell is built to penetrate over 500mm thick armour of steel, so even if Badger IFV has double the armour of Ratel, with 40mm thickness all round, the RPG-7 HEAT will slice through the Badger like a hot knife cuts through butter.

"The RPG-7 can fire a variety of warheads for anti-armor (HEAT, PG-Protivotankovaya Granata) or anti-personnel (HE, OG-Oskolochnaya Granata) purposes, usually fitting with an impact (PIBD) and a 4.5 second fuze. Armor penetration is warhead dependent and ranges from 300mm to 600mm of RHA armour; one warhead, the PG-7VR, is a 'tandem charge' device, used to defeat reactive armor with a single shot. " http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RPG-7

Badger will die roasted by one single shot from an old generation anti-armour RPG-7 !

Better go write your final will on how your property will be shared among your family and close relatives. Fool !

Hunters loiter around to find the animal to kill.

Scorpion jet loiter time is a great 5 hours on patrol, good for ISTAR.

SAAF Gripen jet has embarrassingly small loiter time below 1 hour, very bad for ISTAR.

Is it an ISTAR platform? For how long can it loiter?

Looking through my Armoured vehicle or hilux window also means i'm conducting surveillance, anyone can conduct surveillance, but which is a dedicated ELINT compliant surveillance platform?
Noisy jet engine. Speed to fast over target area. Radar range ground tracking ~60km only. Tiny cockpit with no specially dedicated ISTAR equipment consoles. Short travel range point only operational radius. Very short loiter time over target area. Zero ELINT capability....all these make SAAF Gripen jet a poor man's low profile and ineffective ISTAR aircraft.

Badger is not amphibious because we put more armor on it.

So, the same hull with more armor will surely be better at defeating RPG's than the same hull with less armor. Yes or no?

Or,

The Badger doesnt have more armor than the Rosomak and is thus also amphibious.

Which is it?

Either way, its resistant to RPG's.

Ps: stop getting so emotional
Nope, the RPG used on Rosomak is an ordinary HE RPG and NOT a standard armour penetrating HEAT RPG that is able to destroy a mighty Main Battle Tank that has 100mm amour of solid steel that your weak Badger IFV does NOT have !

In war the enemy uses all types of RPG on you, and you cannot select his weapons for him.

Show me where Badger was tested against armout piercing RPG !
....and SANDF has only 2 units of Badger IFV for evaluation and NOT yet in service !

Even if you hopefully buy it and induct by year 2020, armor destroying RPG will destroy all your Badgers like a BMP-2.
