So, scorpion jets are 4th generation fighters.

Don't try to play smart stupidd. The malyutka (ATGM) missile which many of them are currently out of service has a range of 3000m as compared to ingwe which has a range of 5000m.

Olodo grin

You think 1980 BMP-2 is same as 2014 BMP-2, dummy you are, Russia has done series of upgrades and different versions, the modern BMP-2 fires Kornet ATGM with 5.5km range.

Mumu, I just finished wrecking your lies that NAF F-7 jets are grounded not flying not doing combat

Better be careful on this forum how you mess up yourself intellectually or else we Nigerians will snatch your girlfriend and you end up shiboboed, girls like intelligent men, not those who get crushed in intellectual argument, take my warning dude !

Don't forget the FLIR. And it is cleared to use the mokape ATGM.
NAF Mi-35 Hinds have FLIR and are manufacturer built (NO NEED TO BE CLEARED BY ANYBODY grin) to use Ataka ATGM.

Show me British made Lynx firing South African Mokopa.

Liar, same way you and @Saengine lied to us in last year naval blockade simulation that Rooivalk will fire Mokopa on Nigerian coastal artillery and fire Mistral on Nigerian F-7 jet...you were using missiles that South Africa has NEVER ordered or EVER imagined to purchase ! Liar !

Show me Lynx with Mokopa !

If Gripens and Hawks were toys then that would be taken to consideration.

The Nigerian Air Force lost 3 aircrafts
Only 3 losses after NAF flew combat 1,148 times in 60 days. USAF don't fly safer, they crash more. SAAF does not fly combat at all in 20 years, yet they crash Cesana, Rooivalk, Augusta, Rooivalk, Dakota, and Hawk jet.....olodo air force

And your 2 ATR will do this how. It will be under constined EW attack and attacked by gripens. All so it uses a sea survalnce radarfinding a G6 or G5 at max radar range will be imposbil.

You milltary spends all it's effort fighting rebels. SA trainins to fight nastions.
I just posted proof this morning that NAF ATR-42 has been doing ISTAR role perfectly against Boko Haram that hides among civilians in cities and without uniform or order of battle to identify them.

You sit down with a laptop to judge on internet how ATR-42 does ISTAR ops in land combat theatres, how will you know since the whole nation of South Africa has NEVER touched anything close to a NAF ATR-42 ultra-sophisticated aircraft in your entire national history.

NAF air Marshalls that owns and use the aircraft are final and best world recognised authority on ATR-42 capabilities in real life situations, even the Europeans that produced it are now inferior to NAF in user experience, so when NAF is talking about practicals, SANDF has to shutt up and listen !

Nope

Only parts of the front of the vehical are protected against 20mm

Sides and rear can be penetrated by 20mm
Normal, even main battle tanks have far less armour on the sides and thicker armour on the front, check out most heavy tanks.

Then the frontal BMP-2 protection is against 23mm not 20mm, the same 23mm will tear all SANDF Ratel and Badger IFV into pieces.

You did't know that before you started writing garbage about BMP-2 armour. Fool !

You need to move after deploying smoke. And the ratel ingwe can riple fire Ingwe. All so the 20mm on ratel witch has a higher rate of fire than your 30mm(due to fumes) can pentrat a BMP at the same range it can penrtat a ratel

Since when does 4km beat 5km
BMP-2 has superior 5.5 km range 9M133 Kornet missiles, Ratel gets killed from distance cheesy

Where did I say that? Nope.

SAAF only bought a few as we are going to be using the A-darter which goes into production next year. So from next year we will have an unlimited supply of missiles.
NAF only bought F-7 jets as temporary measure while we are hunting for a 4th generation jet fighter, so from next year 4th generation jets will be flying for NAF. Equation balanced.

LOL....the sorties were flown without hours, it was in seconds and minutes. LOL.

1,148 combat sorties in 2 months....is equal to 1,148 minutes abi? LOL. Domingo Durango

NAF is showing you gold sorties, you are asking for bronze hours.

SAAF has ZERO combat sorties in 20 years, SAAF is a DEAD air force become VIP transporters cheesy cheesy

Nope 90% of the F-7 is the same as a Mig-21

The title of the artical says it all

The widely exported F-7 was nothing more than a Chinese licence production copy of the Soviet Era Mig-21 Fishbed
http://www.militaryfactory.com/aircraft/detail.asp?aircraft_id=1052
Your link is of 1980s F-7 jet. NAF, PAF, SAF, BAF are flying 2010 F-7 jets with 4the generation radar and missiles.

The SAAF Hawk jet of 2006 is the same as the Hawk jet of 1974, so SAAF flies an obsolete Hawk jet. Equation balanced

Wonderful, you fell into my trap to set, but you have lies to tell.

So now you have changed your story and agree that military websites are not the final source of information?
You have NO trap.

SANDF army official website NEVER claimed to have 1,000 Ratel ZT-3

There are hundreds of photos of Ratel showing most as gun armed NOT ZT-3 missile armed, so many Ratel versions, how many photos will the army ppst on webpage? Ten photos of one vehicle with different guns?

It is easy to just write one sentence "V-LAP 73km shell" after the 39km Base Bleed without overflowing the page with data, your army did NOT write it because they DON'T have it.

Defenseweb did NOT report that SANDF has it, NO source EVER says SANDF has it, ALL sources say it exists in DENEL test laboratory, one shell of V-LAP, one piece used for experiment, and no longer existing, no longer produced.

The Indian army officially displayed and declared they have Bofors FH-77B with 42km range, show us where South African army displayed and declared that they have V-LAP shell 73km range, we see or hear NONE !!

NOT mentioned as purchased NOT mentioned as still existing NOT mentioned as sold to any user, ONLY mentioned in a test laboratory.

#Show Us Photo of the V-LAP 73km shell in Existence with SANDF tongue tongue

During the fighting in Afghanistan and Chechnya, hits by rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) penetrated the BMP-1's armor in 95% of cases. This often resulted in the vehicle burning until the ammunition exploded.[35] Due to these limitations, Soviet/Russian soldiers customarily rode on the outside of the BMP, sitting on top of the hull while in combat zones.

You said the whole vehical was protected against 23mm (never heard of a 23mm cannon before shocked )

This is false, frontial arc only offers PARTIAL protection against 20mm

Welded steel armor of the BMP-2 provides all-round protection against 12.7-mm rounds. Front arc of this IFV offers partial protection against 20-mm ammunition.
http://www.military-today.com/apc/bmp2.htm

Yeah, maybe you should take some of your own advice and use that free google thing
BMP-2 Hull and Turret both have protection against 23mm cannon so it CANNOT be penetrated.

Same way RPG will tear SANDF Ratel, Rooikat, and Badger IFV into pieces, you won't even see your soldiers' bodies to put in body bags.

BMP-2 weapons are superior to SANDF IFVs and BMP-2 can swim a river where Ratels and Badgers turn back to go home ![/size]
