LOL....easy target for Boko Haram barrage of RPGs coming from all directions. For a Boko Haram 105 mm artillery shell, it's feasting time.

Max range on the ERC 90's gun: 900m

http://www.army-guide.com/eng/product3587.html

Max range on the Rooikats gun: 2000m
Fool and liar, Sagaie gun fired up to 1660m NOT the fvcking lie of 900m

http://www.army-guide.com/eng/product3586.html

Rooikat gun cannot shoot straight....it's a naval gun put on a army vehicle, reason why it missed target during the sea exercise in South Africa, Mr.Day was targeted and 76mm gun missed, Mr.Day is enjoying with is wife as we speak !

Its a inter brigade competition

There is no mention of brigade maneuvers and no footage of it either, or any vehicals or aircraft or artillery

All we see is small groups of men from each brigade comepeting against each other

Its a military sports day - THEY EVEN HAVE A FVCKING PRIZE GIVING

You obviously have not watched the video

Fact is simple, Nigerian army is incapable of conducting execises of the scope and scale that the SANDF pulls off
What is the name of that sport then....soccer, tennis...basketball ?

LOL....Cape Colony half-wit, Combat Proficiency Competition is NOT a sports proficiency competition.

The title and major general's speech tells it all.

That video shocked you.

LOL.....let me torment Southies again.....in 2009 Nigerian army, navy, and air force had a major brigade level exercise called OPERATION OLOGUN META.....local language meaning three armed forces.

"A Brigade of the Nigerian Army, three mother naval cat class-warships – NNS KYANWA, NNS OBULA and NNS NWAMBA - and six squadrons of Nigerian Air Force aircraft are participating in in the exercise. Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Paul Dike, explained that the conduct of the joint exercise was borne out of “the desire to exercise our troops in a tri-service setting.

The exercise involved beach landing operations, riverine operations and insertion of troops, advance quick attack, deliberate attack phase and internal security operations.

Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Paul Dike, explained that the conduct of the joint exercise was borne out of “the desire to exercise our troops in a tri-service setting in year 2009.

The exercise, he said, “will essentially serve as a platform for us to test our intelligence gathering abilities, check the interoperability of our communication facilities as well as testing our Command and Control capability. At the end of the whole exercise, the lessons learnt will be used in improving our operational procedures in current and future operations,” he said.

The Nigerian military last held an exercise of this magnitude in May 2004, when it organised Operation TAKUTE EKPE in Lagos.

The exercise climaxed display of months of operations, weeks of reconnaissance and days of rehearsals. The officers and men involved in JOPEX 09 were involved in beach landing operations, harbour defence, riverine operations and insertion of troops, advance quick attack, deliberate attack phase and Internal Security Operations (ISOs).

The beach landing part of the exercise had commenced last Monday just as the Chief of Defence Staff, Air Chief Marshal Paul Dike was finishing his welcome address. It involved the simulation of naval and combat aircraft bombardments boomed all around the surrounding beachfront, signalling the start of assault on enemy positions."

I just gave you two other, even bigger NAF + NN + NA joint service military exercise at brigade level in modern times.

1. Operation TAKUTE EKPE....year 2004

2. Operation OLOGUN META.....year 2009

Shame on ALL Southie liars, Nigerian military conducts regular brigade level and above joint army, navy, air force exercises shocked shocked

Since when did SAAF stop flying Impala and Mirage jets NOT even cheetah, old Mirage F-1 jets? Whom do you wanna fool? The video is a mix of Apartheid and ANC era military exercise.....it's an old video !

Our Rooikat's gun is more powerful, in fact it replaced our Eland 90 which had basically the same 90mm gun as your Sagaie.....The Rooikat is also faster, more maneuverable and has a much more modern fire control system, the Rooikat can also fire accurately fire on the move....Your Sagaie stand 0 chance against the Rooikat.
Your Rooikat has ZERO test in any war.....and it's 76 mm gun CANNOT shoot straight, I posted the South African source here last year grin grin

3. That is not an EXERCISE - it is an inter-brigade competition, swimming races/oreinteering and such - not feild maneuvers. You should watch things before you post them
You deliberately omitted field exercises that involves artillery, and field obstacle crossing.

Did you hear the word sports mentioned anywhere in the video or by the army commandant ?

You do sports with full combat kit and weapons like artillery?

Title is "Inter-Brigade Combat Proficiency Competition" designed for new war trends of modified training.

The competition is our own usual added flavour to training exercises.

Your SANDF is not creative enough to add that.

Weapon smugglers, robbers, assassins, rhino thieves, armed bandits from Zimbabwe, Mozambique, etc are WRECKING the SANDF battalions deployed, crossing FREELY into your own fatherland's borders on a daily basis....your army cannot even secure your homeland borders, so how will they fight 20,000 Boko Haram if the Bokos already live inside your own cities spread across the nation with anti-aircraft guns and RPGs ?

The same drills that SANDF uses and armed men criss cross your border daily under the noses of battalions of SANDF troops trained at your 'prestigious' military academy and posted to protect your borders, yet fail woefully everyday as arms smugglers, assassins, poachers, ets play hide and seek in your fatherland bush land, dribbling Mandela's soldiers like Tom & Jerry cartoon.....yet you claim Col. Mr. Balow trained 120 of our troops on use of MRAP and light machine guns. He is just a basic infantry rifle officer, not a composite mechanized brigade officer. His tactics were basically hot pursit, hit and run guerrilla tactics, that is what he knows .

How does that relate to Nigeria using tactics to fight with thousands of tanks, IFV, APC, heavy artillery ? Barlow teaches about Bofors artillery?

Boko is fighting with animal rifles, I am just wondering what would happen if they can be in possession of machine guns like Seleka rebels were when they were facing SANDF
That is what Nigerian army has reduced Boko Haram down to. The Bokos in January 2015, had T-55 tanks, MOWAG APC, 105mm self propelled mobile artillery, Shilka AAA, many anti-aircraft caliber 23 mm x 4 barrel, 14.5 mm x 2 twin barrel, unguided heavy rockets, 12.7 mm Dhsk heavy machine guns, RPG, mortars, etc.....now Nigerian army has eaten up all their weapons in battle.

SANDF has never done that anywhere in 20 years......with your inexperienced army that has 1970s style training copied from World War II

Commanders begging for equipments weeks after weeks and none, not even an additional MRAP delivered, doesn't show an SANDF that is properly equipped.

Your Airforce has to rely on charter services because you only have 3 old C-130s in active service for a country of over 1500km in size.

Your countries over-dependence on world war II relics is well known and well documented.

"Why don't we jack that figure up to 20,000 men?". facts,

- Seleka laid waste to SANDF elite troops

- Seleka took over the capital and government

- Bozize fled

- SANDF fled

Pity your 1970s tactics couldn't help you against hoe wielding farmers.
SANDF obsolete training and combat tactics is like a football match set piece....

Goalkeeper stand still there and defenders line up there, We will line up our team here, we want to play free kick now o !
