Algeria or Egypt has enough stock of materials and supplies to sustain a naval force on South African coast, for a time long enough to wreck SANDF and land T-90 tanks/Pantsir SAM or Abrams tanks/Patriot SAM on your homeland soil.

They don't need a months to subdue you, SANDF will collapse in a few days under their superior firepower.

Local defense manufacturing is useless when the enemy has superior firepower to gain quick victory over you....or you think DENEL MRAP or Ingwe missile will stop Algeria? Their tanks have composite impregnable armor and anti-ATGM self protection.

South Africa does not produce any game changer weapons, you import jets, torpedoes, and lots of missiles from Europe.

You keep fooling yourselves that you have some fücking technology, how will you use Umkhonto or A-Darter if you don't buy warships and aircraft from Europe ?

Algeria has force projection to reach South Africa by sea. They have a very modern and huge supply ship/landing ship/helicopter carrier/anti-submarine helicopters. They have many new stealth frigates with BVR SAM missiles to wipe out any Gripen jet, they have longer range anti-ship missiles to sink any Valour frigate, they have ASW weapon armed ships many submarines to defeat any Heroine class Type 209.

Range of the Jericho is irrelevant, both countries are next door to each other.

Egypt has radars that cover the whole of Israeli airspace, a ballistic missile launch will be detected early. Israel's land mass has a very narrow territorial width and Egyptian missiles can stop the Jericho missile right on top of Israeli territory or at the border line.

Israeli land is so small and narrow, the distance from Gaza strip to Jerusalem is just about 30 km.....if Egypt intercepts the Jericho over Israel, it will explode on the head of the Israelis ! The Patriot systems in Egypt are not the upgraded versions. Damn the current Patriot SAMs are not even up to standard against modern missile systems that's why countries like Netherlands are opting to upgrade there systems while Lockheed and MBDA is marketing there joint MEADS SAM system that's still in its development stage for Germany and France. The US are relying more on its EAGIS to defend its allies not patriots.

There are reports of Sunburn anti ship missiles deployed one of Egypt's naval ship but the R-300 Elbrus still remains the only medium range missile system including the Chinese HY-2 anti ship missile.

Egypt cannot win a prolonged war without any outside supply of weapons systems unlike Israel who actually produces over 65% of its current systems locally.

There missile systems are mostly limited including the lack of technical expertise to maintain there current systems, but over all there current state of there military makes them a very formidable foe for any world power.

A list of Egyptian weapons list is published on SIPRI database for free reading. Distance between Egypt and Israel is less than 1km by road....700 km ballistic missile is more than enough against Israel.
