There is no such thing as "frontline" warships - all warship that are operational and are of the right class are "Front line"

Also, 2014 - 2004 =30huh

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA Augbugugu the accountant who cant count!!
France has frontline and back up equipment.

Rafale is their frontline jet and obsolete Mirage 2000 is back up.

France still operates Sagaie armoured vehicle but it's obsolete. They won't throw it away.

FREMM frigate is one of the new ships of France and is 100% modern. La Fayette is obsolete and won't lead France into battle.

SAN Valour frigate carries obsolete combat suite and ancient gun AND ZERO TORPEDOES in the ship's tubes ! grin grin

http://ginjaland.com/article/boko-haram-releases-new-video-shows-off-weapons-beheading
Provide proof that the video is Nigeria. Boko Haram is beheading people in Cameroon. Just this week, 130 Cameroonians have been kidnapped by Boko Haram.

Show us proof that video is Nigeria, show us proof that it is not the video of Boko Haram behaeding other Boko Harams who refused to fight and wanted to surrender to Nigeria's new government as was published in news reports last month

- south African, French, saudi vessels all use the SAME combat suite
- obsolete compared to what?
The French and Saudi ships with those old combat suites have been replaced in front line role by ships like FREMM frigate, only Sourh Africa has 30 year old equipment and 40 year old second hand gun on your front line warships. cheesycheesy

It doesn't matter, years or ages are counted the same.

If I commission one ship on the 1st of Dec 2010 and another on the 3rd of January 2011. That will not be 2years. It will be two Months time. Mumu-Foool-Stupido.
All over the world, as a standard, ships commissioning is recorded in year dates not moths you fool.

Your example above will be historically recoded as 2010 and 2011....2 years, not as December and January.

You ever seen a ships commissioning history dates recorded in months with the year dates missing? Fool

We are not talking about human age, we are talking about historical records of commissioning dates of ships you dunce !

And that's exactly why if a witness or defended has been known to lie before, his testimony is regarded as unreliable. Even if deep down he knows he is telling the truth this time. A reasonable jury simply cant trust his judgement anymore.

You clearly aren't a reasonable judger of character. You chose to side with a man that you yourself have called a lier, simply for your own greedy needs. How do you know if Hietman doesn't have hidden financial ties with one ship builder, publicly says bad stuff about another ship builder, in the hope that his buddies will be seen as more favourable bidders?

You see how your desperation is so obvious? Congrats on digging your own hole. My work here is done.
Quote which common law or doctrine of equity backs the bolded part of your comment.

In law, anywhere on earth, a judge will accept a man's testimony as true if he has proof, infallible evidence, despite the fact that he told lies to the same court yesterday.

No court will say his current evidence is false because he lied yesterday by making a claim he could not prove, but today if he says a new thing with proof, international law binds a court of justice to accept it.

jln115:
No!!! it shows that our vessels were commissioned 2 years and 3 months from each other!!

2 years does not = 4 years Augubugu!!
You commissioned a vessel in 2005, next 2006, next 2007, and last one 2008.....timeline will be written in history as 2005,2006,2007,2008.

History will not wipe away those dates from records, it will always show 4 years, that is how commissioning history is recorded worldwide.

You dont's record commissioning history in days, world standard is years.....dates of commission will show 4 different dates, it spanned over 4 different years.

You are not smart enough to learn the difference. Mumu

Era of years on date-timeline not number of months.

In history, time-line is mentioned in years not number of months.

You commissioned a vessel in 2005, next 2006, next 2007, and last one 2008.....timeline will be written in history as 2005,2006,2007,2008.

2. 2006

4. 2008

That's 4 different years of an era. Not about counting months. Mumu.....and it's still far from commissioning all vessels in one day, it took years.

That's exactly what i said. The navy flew F145's crew from Simon's Town, dumped them in the Indian Ocean to take over from the ghost/imaginary/voodoo crew who was conducting post-refit trials on F145, and sailed it back to Durban. So why are you arguing?
Post refit trials does NOT include battle stations, did they fire any missiles ? Fool !

Oh and since Augustine is now best friends with Helmoed Hietman, why doesn't he recap what Helmoed said about how brave our troops fought in CAR. Read it again nice and slow and enjoy.
Was Helmoed himself inside the battlefield recording the Seleka Vs SANDF firefights?

Helmod is quoted when he agrees with me, if he writes propaganda, it is a lie. He was quoting SANDF parabats propaganda from C.A.R. where he himself never saw the battle. For other things that he can verify, yes I will quote his truths, not his lies.

You rotate same crews from ship to ship....dummy. Both ships were not sailing same time and firing all weapons same time...fool !

F147 in Simon's Town a few days ago

https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3753/19923108068_480736d2a8_o.jpg

Then yesterday F145 arrives in Simon's Town from Durban after its major refit.

https://i762.photobucket.com/albums/xx267/Jerrycan_photo/IMG_5428%20F145_zpsywze6rae.jpg

Since we can only operate one at a time according to some here, i guess it was a ghost/wizard crew who took part in sea acceptance trials in Durban. The navy then flew F147's crew via SAA to the Indian Ocean to take over from the invisible crew, and finished the rest of the journey to Simon's Town. Aha...exactly how it happened.
Operation of a ship is not same as sailing it around at home.

Do you have all BATTLE STATIONS ABOARD FULLY MANNED ? Nope.

So you CANNOT go to war with more than one ship one sub at a time. Defenceweb published the report not me. Go sulk all you want grin grin

2.Uhm!! actually we do, as proved here many times.
3.Who says we cant put missiles back onto our Warrior class ?
4. We commissioned a tug about 2 weeks ago, with one being built as we speak! we also acquired 5 landing craft, besides after you receive your OPV this year, what are you going to receive in the next 10 years....Nothing mate!
You commissioned the 7 vessels over a period of about 5 years, stop lying. Why should I educate you about your own country?

The first submarine, SAS Manthatisi (S101), was built by Howaldtswerke at Kiel. It was launched in June 2004 and commissioned in November 2005. The second and third submarines were built by Thyssen Nordseewerke in Emden. The SAS Charlotte Maxeke (S102) was launched in May 2005 and commissioned in March 2007. The third submarine, SAS Queen Modjadji (S103), was launched in 2006 and handed over in February 2008.

The rest of your comment is garbage since you don't even know you own navy.

Warrior Class cant use its gun? Stop expressing your ignorance

The 76mm is stabilized and automated - it can still be used

Distress calls from Angola? Stop being childish!

There were no distress calls, and what do you want us to do? Sail from Simons Town into YOUR waters to catch pirates? Are you asking for SAN to come and secure your waters as well?

We have an actual Navy - with warships

It is your navy that is dead, replaced by a Coast Guard composed of rusty 60 year old vessels!
Nope, your gunboat cannot fire gun on target when the boat's hull is swinging up and down doing what Helmod Heitman calls SUMBARINE DIVE grin grin

Your gun will be shooting into the water/seabed killing fish and crabs grin grin

If South African frigates and submarines had caught the pirates off the Angolan coast in your own backyard region of SADC, they would not have escaped as far as ECOWAS.....it's the thief you fail to catch that escapes to another man's waters....SAN is OPV dead

1991 not 1996. Any case there where several apartheid projects that took place. 1 led to the construction of 2 corvettes that due to arms embargoes we never got. They where sold to Argentina.

The reason the projects take so long in SA is that they not rushed in to. Many of the early years of a project it is just to see if there is even a need for it there are countless projects in the SANDF. Many unfunded and some never ending. What changed for project biro is it one got a budget and 2 it is now in finale stages. Companies have been told to submit there opstions.

You see unlike Nigeria we don't rush head long in and just buy stuff. We first come up with a set of requirements then we act.

And 1991 was when we decided we going to need to replace the strike craft. That's all. A few years ago they decided we going to need to replace the Oryx. They will only start 2020 to begin setting up the requirements.
Nigerian navy does not rush anything, the plans for 2010 to 2018 had been drafted and submitted years ago, even defecneweb published it
