Christian leave muslim to do their thing and do your too. Must everything muslim becomes problem for christian, bunch of f00ls, set up your christian banks and bank their, we just create wahala for ourselve where there is none grin

Walahi kai dan buroba shege! grin grin grin cheesy cheesy
That's 9ja for you. leaving substance to chase shadows.

Nigerians are too gullible. the politicians raise dust over non issue and they will continue fighting while the cabal or whatever they are called continue to be united and loot the treasury.

Don Shark:
@Lastpage.I like your reply to the post expatiating the need for the shameless chameleon to hide his head in shame,but I'm arguing a clause on your post where you said the legislative is independent,that's true but the president has the absolute power to everything knowing fully well that an act is not yet an act until the president has appended his signature on it.
In the other sense,I don't see any reason why the SSS will arrest El-Rufai(prior to his article) since we are practicing democracy,I see it as an encroachment on his fundamental human right.
This is a case of a thief accusing a fellow thief.
All the same,if what he's saying is true,he should be freed and on the opposite side,he should be charged for infiltrating divisive and seditious sentiments and also spewing false reports.
Thanks
Same way the legislature can also not pass the appropriation bill or remove elements from it to frustrate the president/executive.

it is more of blackmail. than law making.

In advance democracies the supreme court has the power to declare a law null and void even though same had been passed by the legislature and signed into law by the president.

We have been ruled by the military for a long time that's why so many people have the mindset that the president must rule like a dictator.

everybody remember Obama promising to close guatanamo bay within six months in power at most a year, but the reverse is the case.

Orikinla:
The government does not even know that the Islamic Terrorist guerrilla Boko Haram has been in existence since 1992.

The glaring ignorance and incompetence of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) in power have made the Boko Haram more dangerous and vicious.

The intelligence agencies need to go down to the rural areas of Borno and Bauchi and then track the tail of the Boko Haram across the borders for their training camps and their cells.

God help Nigeria
Has PDP been in power since 1992 huh

Niboro is Urhobo, delta. Guess he is same as beaf
If Niboro is Urbobo definitely he's beef. from beefs post it was clear that he isn't ijaw but from the niger delta, and delta state, but due to the name sounding similar to Iboro and ibibio name that was why i thought he was from that part of the niger delta.

We will bell the cat.

I have thought up a couple of ideas that we can use to sow the seeds of change
{feel free to criticize and propose yours too}

AwakeNigeria!{Awareness}

First let us plant it in their minds;

-That this lifestyle is unacceptable
-That it will bring them to ruin in the long run.

Q: How?

A: Through The internet and Short Messaging Services(SMS)

We all have mobile phones right? So let us send text containing questions like:

'Do you know your local government chairman?' ,
'Why do you pay your tax when you provide your own electricity are you a maga?' ,
'Are you going to die driving on a Nigerian road?',

'What is the function of the Government?',
'Will you die in the hands of a half-baked Nigerian medical practitioner?',
'When do you think Nigeria will get better'
'Do you pay your tax and provide your own water?'

'Why do Doctors go on strike in Nigeria?'
'Why do teachers go on strike in Nigeria?'

'Can you say what 6*9 is without using a Calculator?
If No do you think education in Nigeria is getting better?'

'What part are you playing in the development of Nigeria?',

'Do you believe you are more competent than your local government chairman? Why haven't you contested for the
post?'

'What name do you call a man being lead by the blind?'

'Why do you wake up each morning and spend 3hours on a journey that should
take you 30mins and What are you doing about it?'

'Have you ever attended community meetings? What do you discuss?'
'Although you pay your tax, has the road on your street ever been tarred?'
'Do you live in a country where  Honorary Titles [MON] are given to thieves?'

'If you do not try to change Nigeria who will?'

(I trust that we can think up your own thought-provoking questions)
(Let us do this in our native languages too if possible)

Bulk sms' could be used and recipients should forward the messages to contacts on their phone
Let us do this actively for 2 months. {Airtel has a very irritating way of doing this}

The Title of our text could be 'Awake Nigerians' or 'Awake Naija' or whatever we deem appropriate

Let us take great care not to put political [PDP/AC/APGA] sentiments into our texts

If everybody reading this spends at least 100 Naira on texting and forwarding messages for the cause of a better
Nigeria, Nigeria will get better. Our Leaders will be put under pressure as word of the text messages get to their ears

Opinions please.
Let us Think of something too oh. Facebook, Google+, twitter e.t.c. we could start a hash tag on twitter #AwakeNaija, Upload pictures of things we don't want to see in Nigeria anymore.
those highlighted in red are irrelevant. payment of tax does not exempt anybody from paying bills neither does it guarantee provision of those services.

Add:
why can't we live wherever we choose?
Why are the those looting us united, while the poor always remember tribe and religion?
Must we settle to get things done?
Is scholarship a measure of brilliance/intelligence? why can't the poor get scholarships anymore?
Why must lecturers force students to purchase their textbooks?

wink

more to come later
