One would have expected president Goodluck Jonathan to visit Lagos State to show a presidential concern and support to Lagosians, in aftermath of last Sunday's devastating massive flooding in the state.

Leadership is not by force, it's not for sale and absolutely not for everybody.

Goodluck Jonathan is an incredible human being, but personally I do not think the man has what it takes to lead the great nation effectively and efficiency.

Romance › Re: . . . Playing Your Games Well (from A Retired Player 190) by agitator: 9:40am On Jul 18, 2011
190:
To make the story short, if you are a guy chyking any girl and she doesn't reciprocate after you have shown some seriousness , quickly end the episode and forget about the girl. Theres this girl that told me how she regretted losing a guy she admired so much while playing hard to get, after the guy has shown up consistently. I guess shes learnt her lesson to limit the shakara time. Guys should stop wasting too much time on girls.

Secondly, some guys are fond of chasing after women just for the fun of it even when the already have a girl. Girls have been spoilt by frequent wooing from guys, therefore they can easily reject a guy and hope that a better dude will appear tomorrow. Guys should stop giving girls too much attention which makes their head swell so much and compels them to be insulting at times. When a girl has stayed for 1 year and no guy has come around, she will have a rethink.

This idea is definitely difficult for guys to put in practice. But the hidden truth is, when the attention of guys towards the girls decreases, there will be a subsequent increase in attention and curiosity of girls towards guys. Newton said to every action, there's an equal and opposite reaction. It doesn't apply to physics alone, romance is also included. GIRLS BELIEVE THE ARE NOT CHEAP, LET US SHOW THEM THAT GUYS ARE NOT CHEAP TOO.

One more reason why the girls maintain the ''am not cheap status'' is due to the fact that we guys always scrutinize the girls to classify who is cheap and who is not cheap. Since the girls are aware of this, the will always make sure guys don't call them cheap. A remedy to this is for guys to remove the word ''cheap'' from our vocabulary and see every girl as responsible and worthy.

What an irony. The only industry in Nigeria that creates and sustains competition (tariffs have crashed from 48 naira a minute to 9 naira a minute in 10 years for local calls, and from 100 naira a minute to 12 naira a minute for international calls, SIM card cost crashed from 14,000 naira to 50 naira) and people still complain.

Meanwhile the price of diesel in the same period has risen from 21 naira to around 150 naira, and everybody buys without complaining.

No hope for development in Nigeria, since the people prefer to complain and whine about private investment while the government monopolies continue to brutalize and exploit them. Imagine increasing electricity tariffs, in a country where said electricity is not even provided, and still having the confidence to come out and brag about it.

Sad sad country.
This is what is meant by leaving substance to chase shadows. People complain about MTN, DSTV, etc for overcharging them meanwhile nobody is pointing a gun to their head to patronise the services. little economics i studied says if demand is low price crash, when demand is high price also increase.

Probe my bottom. Anybody that allows himself to be decieved by this was either not here for the last Assembly or has a short memory.

The question we need to ask is what happened to all the previous probes our impotent NA has ever conducted.

I'll tell you:
1. They constitute a probe committee whose job is to collect travel allowances travelling all over the country looking at things they know absolutely zero about.
2. They start soliciting and receiving  bribes from the affected companies.
3. Zero report, nobody gets punished.
4. If we are lucky the EFCC will start an endless case of corruption against members of the probe panel - 4 years hence, while they enjoy their carefully orchestrated looting.

As far as i know, it is extremely difficult to clone a card. Users are just using their PIN online more often and there are several spyware available to capture such information.

The era of cloning cards was during magnetic striped cards, now the technology makes it a bit more difficult to clone the card. See below

See "It's very difficult if not impossible to clone the (chip and PIN) card," says Andi Coleman, a member of the Accredited Standards Committee X9, which determines standards for the financial industry in the U.S. "If you steal the card out of someone's wallet, you have to know the PIN in order to be able to use the card in a transaction."

from http://finance.yahoo.com/news/Are-chip-and-PIN-credit-cards-brn-3335348489.html?x=0&.v=1

I maintain that as long as you keep your pin to urself, u are safe.
My brother Igbo's have a proverb that says "Leave wetin dem write for motor enter motor." (Sorry i have only been hearing the pidgin english translation)

Google "chip programmer" some are less than $100 that is one of the disadvantages of the internet, anything can be sold online.
Previously people didn't have access to computers and there was limited knowledge (in other words those who knew about these things and their usage were few)

No you sim card can be cloned using the right tools and free software available online. What is required is just the encryption technique and password.

Note: All Chips/cards from the same bank use a single access password, so cracking the password once means they can have access to information on all cards they have contact with.

The device may have logging abilities. embedded in the machine all communications go through it. There is cross talk (discussion) between the card and the machine.

When the card is inserted the ATM ask the card for certain information and the card replies, not one but several and it goes sequentially.

Picture a situation with three people A, B, C.

A:  Mr C What is your name -> B -> Mr C
C: ->B-> My Name is John.
A: How old are you -> B -> Mr C

all communications goes through B so even if you are speaking in codes and B knows those codes or can record the information and ask D who knows the meaning of the codes later.

This is Missouri. Even with the US Army Corps of Engineers intervention and sand bagging, they still got flooded

These are first class cities with developed infrastructures an d they still got flooded.

Why is Lagos so special? Are we not talking about the same rainfall that flooded these cities and clowned their so called superior drainage systems?

Yes, it's always good to have good drainage systems which I believe these cities have, but your drainage system can not overpower nature.

All the pictures you posted can be classed as natural disasters as you will notice the water rose higher than the river banks but with Lagos situation it is still above the ocean level or are you saying the water is above the ocean level?
Business › Re: A Narrow Escape (ATM Story): Please Read And Be Informed! by agitator: 3:29pm On Jul 12, 2011
Jeezy:
Considering that the technology for modern cards that are chip and pin (VERVE, mastercard, etc) makes it almost impossible to clone your card using that device, especially . So, the fraudsters cannot use your card details to withdraw cash from another ATM.

The card details can however be used for online transactions. Most common nowadays are websites that allow u buy airtime top ups using the PAN (card number) and PIN.

So, if such happens to you, quickly contact your bank to deactivate your card. These scammers however are smart enough do the unauthorised transactions over the weekend when Banks are closed. In this case, victims watch helplessly as their accounts are debited by the minute for airtime top-ups.

The best way to avoid this unfortunate incidence is to protect your PIN, and do not use a guessable pin. Do not write your pin down-memorise it. Do not tell ANYONE your pin.
Who told you that a card cannot be cloned because it has a chip embedded. there are free software on the internet to clone a card provided you know the encryption technology (software) & password. Please don't deceive yourself and believe that rubbish they have been advertising.
