On December 25, 2022, Ufuoma Peter, an Abuja-based civil servant, booked two Owerri-to-Abuja Arik Air flight tickets worth N142,000 for his parents-in-law.

On the scheduled departure date however, the airline cancelled the flight without information on whether it would be rescheduled or not.

“Right at the airport, the affected passengers, including my in-laws, were asked by Arik Air’s officials to write down their account numbers so that a refund would be made, and they did,” Ufuoma told FIJ while lodging his complaint.

Once your application has been approved, you will be contacted by telephone for a premise survey. After the survey is approved, you will receive a payment advice by email from the assigned MAP vendor.

Arik Air has refunded the sum of N370,000 to Saiki Muktar, the Abuja resident whose money was withheld for a month.

This came less than 24 hours after FIJ reported how the airline company withheld the source’s money after a failed flight.

Muktar told FIJ he was happy the airline company refunded him in full. He said the company refunded him on Wednesday.

He said he booked a Lagos-to-Abuja return ticket for February 24 for his family but had to look for an alternative when the company disappointed him.

He said that immediately after he arrived in Abuja, he went to the Arik Air office and asked the company to refund him, but the company did not do so until FIJ’s intervention.

They deceive the old man
I think they delivered according to plan. They knew PMB was not going to interfere in the election. They also had a pound of flesh to take from BAT and governors who messed them up during the party primaries.

Atiku failed to settle in-house grievances. He lost traditional PDP votes in the SE and SS. Maybe he was overconfident that he would overrun BAT in NW.

The NW governors and their political structure are the MVP of the 2023 elections.

Tonye Cole the APC guber candidate in Rivers State is crying for help! Tinubu/Shettima ignored him, is it because he's a Christian and from the SS?

We know Tinubu/Shettima hesitated in going to the SE and SS for campaign because they think it was a waste of time and money.

We all can see how they are fighting for Binani to win Adamawa.
This is selective amnesia.

Thank you for your response, but am not talking about target. What is the monthly igr collection like. Has it improve under soludo
No it hasn't.

He said: “The state government should be making more than three billion naira per month, which has yet to happen. The 2023 budget is expected to generate four billion naira per month, but the Anambra state government is running a deficit on IGR, which is one of the key projections.

As of Monday, we were dangling around one billion naira per month, which is extremely low.. You can see how far we are doing in relation to the potentials that exist.

Op what is the average monthly igr of Anambra state under soludo?
Target for 2022 40.36bn - Obiano
Target for 2023 50bn - Soludo

The governor, who spoke during the inauguration of the Anambra State Board of Internal Revenue in Awka, described IGR as the life-blood of all government operations, arguing that if it does not work, then nothing works.

According to him, the results of the state’s IGR since his assumption of office were not even close to 50% of what he anticipated to achieve, adding that he expected to have the revenue body double its initial revenue within its first four months, which, he added, did not happen.

“The internal revenue service requires a 180 percent turnaround. The current path we are taking will not get us very far because we have been trying it for a year. This board must get to work right away because there is a lot of work ahead.”
