joseph1013: If the reports I am getting from camp is anything to go by, then Enyeama was clearly in the wrong.
Trouble started when they had a meeting after the Tuesday training session, which Enyeama did not participate in because he was busy talking with a member of the crew eventhough he knew that only Carl Ikeme is the goalkeeper available. So Oliseh called a meeting and said he'd like Ahmed Musa to captain the team for the Congo clash. That was where trouble erupted. Enyeama would have none of that. He stood up in front of everyone and was said to have rudely interrupted the coach's speech at this point, the Lille keeper insisting that he was the captain, not Musa. Enyeama was even fighting for Mikel, most senior player in the team to be captain for friendlies not Musa
This interruption apparently riled Oliseh, who ordered Enyeama to let him (Oliseh) address his players in peace. But Enyeama continued talking, raising his voice at the coach.
When Oliseh could not take it anymore, he ordered that Enyeama leave the venue of the meeting as he felt the keeper was undermining his (Oliseh's) authority.
When Enyeama refused to leave, Oliseh asked for the goalkeeper to be forcibly removed from the Verviers Hotel camp by security men.
Why should Enyeama not accept the verdict of the coach? Hell was not let loose when Neymar replaced Silva as captain of Brazil. There was no arguments with the coach when Mascherano was replaced by Messi as Captain. What right has Enyeama got to oppose his coach? Anywhere in the world once a new coach takes over he decides who will be his captain, that's standard, if he does not choose you, then you have to sempe. Super Eagles is not your father's property.
Ahmed Musa will captain the Eagles just for the game VS Congo DR ironically Enyeama won't play that game so why was he causing trouble.
Enyeama was quoted to have made alot of caustic statements.
Enyeama said this words "Who is Oliseh?" So Oliseh sent him out of camp to show him who the boss is.
Enyeama told Oliseh what have you done that I have not done for the Super Eagles, what did you win that have not won,who are you? #Crazy
Enyeama told Oliseh how long were you in the national team? This is my 13th year you can't come in here and start misbehaving #Crazy
Anyone supporting Enyeama on this issue is supporting indiscipline. NFF on their part overruled Sunday Oliseh, what message are they passing by undermining the manager's authority?
And no, Enyeama did not apologize to Oliseh. He even went on instagram to say that Oliseh insulted his mother, something that never happened. Dude is very childish.
NOTE: I have my sources in the Eagles and it all points to the fact that Enyeama was clearly in the wrong.
GOODNEWS: Wilfred Ndidi & Kingsley Madu join Alampasu as players called up to @NGSuperEagles ahead of games VS Congo Dr & Cameroun as replacements The Enyeama I know won't utter those statement- he is not that rude. Pls verify ur source sir. |

lexyman: If you are talking about older players that we should go with to the Olympic , you have to consider a game winner , game changer and some that can influence the game , it's not about how good they re but someone who can use that positive attitude towards winning the game ,
Enyeama is one , I think I will pick Onazi to support Vincent , then who do we have to fill the 3rd space .
My reason for picking Onazi :on his good day he's a good dm and he has the ability to take the fight to the opponent when there is need for it also his long range short can be useful . i pray we qualify. Sincerely speaking we have bundles of talent that can win us d olympic Gold medal. No they 're are just too much only if d best'll be invited. I think v. Moses can also make d cut. You're right about his stamina. Maybe about his ground-stability( I.e. Centre of gravity), u're rite too.
But u're so not on point with the rest. Positional ability alone didn't get him that goal against Crystal palace...... Pace and quickness of feet played a role too.
It may be his first season in English football but he certainly possess some qualities that he's still growing into.

TheSuperNerd: Hey guys Happy Independence. But I'm here to drop a news that just came in on twitter. Dele Alli has been officially called up by Roy Hodgson to the Three lions squad ahead of their Euro qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania......
It's breaking news that's why no media house has picked it up just yet. Well, I personally wanted an Alli added to our pool of talents for the u-23(olympics proper) and Super Eagles but it looks no longer possible unless Alli turns down the invitation (which is highly unlikely).
The funny thing is Several english fans are crying foul over the overlook of Alli's tottenham teammate, Eric Dier but recognising (several doing so reluctantly) that Alli merits his place in the three lions squad.
So uhm...... The English are obviously out to "harvest" all our talents huh? Well, wishing Alli all the best. I think he may have a future with England because of his class and precocious talent. Not like some "good but not spectacular" talents of part Nigerian origin waiting for English call-ups.
As for Nigeria, well I'm glad we still have a couple of top talents rising in that position in midfield. Hope Oliseh spots them sooner. Alli operates as a dmf or a Central midfielder so examples of such talents coming through for Nigeria include Ifeanyi Matthew(cmf), Akinjide Idowu(dmf and cmf), Usman Mohammed(cmf), Alfa Abdullahi(cmf and dmf), Anderson Esiti(dmf), Chidiebere Nwakali(cmf and dmf), among very few others.
ANYWAY FOLKS, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY AGAIN. HAVE IT SWELL TODAY........ *smiles* *Hodgson happy to welcome ´exciting talent´ Alli 1 October 2015 14:32 England boss Roy Hodgson has described Dele Alli as "an exciting talent" after he handed the Tottenham man a first senior call-up to the England squad. The 19-year-old midfielder only made his debut for the Under-21s last month but has been rewarded for his form for Mauricio Pochettino's side so far this season. Liverpool striker Danny Ings has also been given a spot after an encouraging start to his Anfield career, while team-mate Daniel Sturridge is left out despite his two goals in the win over Aston Villa. With England having already qualified for the Euro 2016 finals, Hodgson believes the final two games with Estonia and Lithuania represent the perfect chance for the new boys to impress. "Danny is someone we followed with the Under-21s last year and this was a good opportunity to bring him in after he was scoring goals for Liverpool," he said. "Dele is the more offbeat one because he is so young but we have been impressed by what we have seen of him, he's an exciting talent. "We think it's better for Daniel Sturridge to concentrate on what is essentially a pre-season with Liverpool. We hope to see a player in good form next month. "Where we have been hit harder is in midfield, with a number of players missing in that area. Adam Lallana's return is good news. "The game in Lithuania is where we will possibly experiment a little more. But we want to win both games and finish with a perfect record." Hodgson admitted the double leg fracture suffered by Luke Shaw was "cruel" with the Manchester United man unlikely to return to action until March at the earliest. "Luke knows how much we care about him and we had really high hopes for him in 2016 being our left-back. It's a cruel blow," he said. Aston Villa rising star Jack Grealish pledged his international future to England this week, though he remains ineligible to play for the senior side at present. Hodgson has now urged the 20-year-old to continue to impress at club level in order to secure a place in the set-up. "I am very pleased. I think it is the right decision. He is English, albeit with distant Irish roots. I think he has the talent to become an England player," Hodgson added. "I was happy he took the bolder decision and what matters now is how he does for Villa. He is aware of that. I was keen to point out that there were no guarantees for him with England."* hmmm... Going n going, we don de loose them little by little... I don't even know what oliseh n d nff are doing? I just hope hogson don't feature him |

safarigirl: The issue here is the NFF and not Oliseh, Keshi, Manu or any coach. The coach is just an employee and the employee is required to do as his employer says. It's a no-brainer why all the wrong people make the team. Oliseh was talking tough before cuz he wasn't aware of all the rot in the NFF, he thought the coaches were actually solely responsible for picking players. To some extent I don't even blame Manu, cuz the only reason why a coach who had taken a team to win the U-17 WC and the AYC is cuz of instructions. The U-20 WC was a bigger stage, you can take anyone to the U-17 cuz scouts rarely go for kids, but the U-20 is where the scouts are at. NFF wanted their boys to shine, unfortunately things didn't go as planned. Apparently, SUCCESS and IHEANACHO are NOT NFF boys well said ma'am... That's is d reason y d nff will always go for foreign carpenters, bricklayers etc knowing fully well that worldclass coaches(FIFA grade A licenced) will never trade their integrity n fame to d dictatorship of d sport-politians @ d glass house. Hope things change when we start having ex-footballers at d helms. |

joseph1013: Solace Chukwu is one of my favourite football writers.
I wanted to comment on Esiti's exclusion, but I kept quiet so they won't say my own is too much. However it's glaring that Oliseh is failing already. He invited two super eagles materials from Portugal Shehu & Obiora. They both dont play.
He's busy chasing Iwobi who doesn't make the bench but the talented Alli who plays regularly for Tottenham is not looked at.
He was always criticizing Keshi for inviting bench warmers, yet he's towing the same line. Super Eagles wan tire me abeg. that is why i'll always root for an established foreign coach anytime anyday. They'll always stay on their words. Though Alex case is different considering d fact that he hasn't play an competitive game for d english grade teams and also a tactical approach to get him play for our u-23 which may not happen if he isn't capped @ d senior level. But I expect him to fight more on already established ones like Alli, solanke et al... By d way what is eminike looking for in that list-he is out of form(a bitter truth) i expected O. MARTINS to make d cut n a replacement for E. Emenike(i know someone will say he is old yes but he is still banging in goals weekin weekout for seattle sounders in MLS or u think MLS is a lesser league. But Hell No-at least it is far ahead d Arabians leagues) just my take. |

TheGoodJoe: The reason why Coach Sylvanus Okpala lost his job after a tremendous work in rejuvenating the Super Eagles to help Coach Keshi lift the AFCON 2013. One of the reason why Coach Keshi's job became difficult.
What was the relationship between you and the Nigeria Football Federation before the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations?
Before the 2013 AFCON, NFF had been paying my full entitlements— match bonuses and salaries—as at when due and in accordance with my contract. They didn’t default. I have a contract with NFF where it is written that I will take 150 per cent of whatever the players get as my bonus. And they had paid me this for a year before the AFCON. But suddenly when we got to South Africa for the AFCON, they slashed my match bonuses by 50 per cent. They paid Stephen Keshi and the other assistant coaches, Ike Shorunmu and Daniel Amokachi in full but slashed mine by 50 per cent without any formal or prior information as regards to that. They didn’t contact me or the head coach, Keshi.
Did you take your case to the NFF to find out why your bonuses were slashed by 50 per cent?
I called Mike Umeh, Emeka Inyama, Aminu Maigari and other members of the NFF board to know why. Maigari said he was told that my bonuses were slashed because the money was not enough. I said if the money was not enough, then they should have slashed the bonuses across board. Why was mine alone slashed? So, I called (Patrick) Ekeji and told him what was going on. I asked him to help me beg Maigari. I never knew Ekeji later called Maigari. When I called him (Maigari), he said I reported him to Ekeji and the government. He said he told Ekeji that he was not going to pay me and he didn’t. And he said, “If you like, you can report me to the President of Nigeria. If he tells me to pay, I will not pay, after all, I am not under Nigeria, I am under FIFA.” He told me never to call his line again before he cut the conversation abruptly. Since then, I have not called him.
Which other means did you employ for your slashed bonuses to be remitted to you?
My complaint was laid before the sports minister but he didn’t do anything. They still continued to slash my match bonuses. What I did was to ask somebody to plead on my behalf so that my remaining 50 per cent bonus would be paid. So I approached Ekeji to help me out. After we defeated Cote d’Ivoire, we [/were to play Mali in the semi-final and suddenly, two days before the match, they came to my door at 6am and gave me a query. I showed my boss, Keshi, the query. I answered the query under 24 hours as was stipulated and I gave Keshi a copy. They said in the query that what I did was an act of insubordination; that Ekeji is an outsider. How can you say Ekeji, a former national team player, is an outsider? He was even assistant captain of the national team at a time. As NSC DG, he was in a position to liaise with several sports federations including football. Ekeji once held a meeting with the minister, Maigari, Chris Green, Musa Amadu and all the coaches before the AFCON. So, if Ekeji was an outsider, why did we hold a meeting with him discussing how to move the national team forward? Ekeji was detailed to monitor our training and he came thrice to watch us in South Africa. Maigari or the NFF officials didn’t complain that Ekeji was an outsider all these while but when it got to my bonus, they labeled him an outsider. The point is that they never wanted me.
http://www.punchng.com/sports/real-reason-nff-sacked-me-okpala/ abaaajoooo!!! I now see the reason why we've been retrogressing in our sports(most especially football). Imagine d Nff president saying he is above d country's president-if I get d report right. Who is funding d nff? ...Blatter and his cohorts(other FA CHAIRMANS) have made laws so that their corrupt practice we never be brought to justice. This kinda law needs to be revisited n necessary changes should be make. NFF officials putting their selfish interest ahead of d nation's since time immemorial. God help us! |

terzurum5: Nigeria: Iheanacho Will Get S'eagles Chance - Garba By Augustine Akhilomen Former Flying Eagles coach, Manu Garba, has asked Manchester City's Kelechi Iheanacho and Granada's Isaac Success not to lose hope of playing for the Super Eagles on the premise they will be invited by Coach Sunday Oliseh when the time is right. Iheanacho Despite their impressive performance for their respective clubs this season, they were not invited for the team's upcoming double international friendly matches against the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and the Leopards of Demcratic Republic of Congo. Even though invitation has been forward to Arsenal's Alex Iwobi, Garba believes that every player would be giving a chance to prove his worth and that Iheanacho and Success won't be an exemption. "We have to support Oliseh and be calm with him if we want the best for the Super Eagles, Iheanacho and Success will get their chances when the coach feels he needs them but for now we have to support those he has invited," he said.
