joseph1013:i just learn't that they're still much around. I fear for this set of eaglets-poor preparation, planning n even d coach himself is still saying 'he has no team yet'. Nigeria n it's FIREBRIGADE APPROACH-all eyes on us as the defending champion. Well Wishing the boys the best. |
Welldone folks... Here as really been interesting... Saluting Sir. Icon n Sir. Supernerd(ur experiences vs knowledge about d game is a pure class*smiles*) sir. Icon's pessimistic views joined by sir. Tomtoxic against others(u know ursef) optimism about d lad(kelechi I'nacho) has kept d thread going and interestin thereby drawing crowd. Let us always remember that we're different and thereby our views will be conflicting-pls let's keep the thread healthy with constructive views- i know we all understand better. Once again kudos to u guys- welcome back sir, tomtoxic. *biggest smiles* -takes an humble bow |
TheGoodJoe:I'll also want him to stay put @city to develop himself before GUARDIOLA comes to turn him into a finish goods-if d rumours is anything to go by.. Patience is the key!. |
Thank God most of our guys had a wonderful weekend. Today, A. Musa(2 goals 1 assist), O. Martins(1 goal 1 assist) joining d likes of v. MOSES, Odion n others... How I wish nacho too can get even half of the playing time martial is having at Old trafford-well, we 'll be patient. |
robosky02:same here... I'm also tired of that dude de call Emenike. Atleast he should be drop for a younger player(success) or the older ones who're still scoring in a better league probably(OBAGOAL)- OLISEH Should make necessary changes to the team and take d risk of dropping the sloppy ones. |
TheSuperNerd:i'm a little big scare of these local boys. They may want to do d opposite-cos most of them know that de'll be axe from the team sooner or later. |
TheSuperNerd:he is only trying to play safe. Remember how d english citizens n d FA criticized him for loosing V.MOSES to Nigeria in 2012. On the other hand jordon is a good player but we've better ones in the likes of yahaya, saviour n others. I will rather wish we focus more on this tottenham dude Dele Alli who I think is better than Jordon. |
linked:i think we should focus more on nationalising our players in diaspora who're yet to play for Nigeria before the hawks snatch dem. At least if oliseh can invite 18best legs n 5 young players who haven't pledge their allegiance to other countries-You know them all. |
joseph1013:this your prayer got me laughing... I don't even know what to say. Well, a bigger Amen. Welcome friend(Sir, Mikson sorry Mikron) pardon me na this nokia phone wey I de use o. |
TheGoodJoe:. Sir, don't tell me you're a city fan... The love of Nacho is d beginning of club decamping. The thread is moving on. |
Danycrusoe:wao these guys are really on fire. I think an healthy competition among d lads will make them surpass their predecessors(nacho in city, simon earning is first national team goal) u know what dat means to others to. After Martial scored i knew that a new set of world stars are just evolving from their cocoon n Nigerians too 'll be part of this gr8 generation. Happy sunday all |
safarigirl:u're right ma'am. But that Mikel part got me laughing... But when t got to where u typed MANU-u reminded me of how this man traded away his team glory for his own selfish interest-which as brought comparison with a lesser mikel's set of u-20 where most of them gone into obscurity. I hope these lads put their failure @d u-20 tourney behind dem n move on. Cos me still de find it hard to forget. Finally, welldone to sir. Joe n others who have been keeping us informed wit the progress of these lads. More ink to ur pen. Thanks. |
joseph1013:really happy for the dude. A goal in 2min of regular time action. Hope sir. Icon is seeing this: this guy is not overhyped. sir Nerd your boy has started justifying u. Wishing him the best... He is destine for gr8ness-hope he keeps is head low. |
Any news from AAG? |
BascoVanVeli:You're right Sir. I can't even imagine what will happen if the english fail to watch their national team playing live on their local stations for a whole 90mins either home or away. That reminds me of the controversial goal scored by Lampard@ 2010 world cup match between Germany N England which led to alot of protest cos the missed that part due to cable network/service problem. I just hope we grow here in Nigeria. Same thing with our local leagues |
BascoVanVeli:lots of thing are happening within our football system as a hole(both on and off the pitch) it amazes me so much when I found out that most of our local teams ain't showing the match live. Even NTA prefer showing German bundesliga highlights to the national team game-thats absurd. |
That's a good news. Drawing the first game against the Koreans and moving ahead to defeat the Brazillians in the absence of one of their stars(Nwakali n another guy). Hope they make us proud and give us something to celebrate this year. |
TheGoodJoe:the english national team can boast of individual players like the ones you mentioned above who're in their class of their own but perform below their ratings... Their class of late 90's and early 2000 as u mentioned above are still the best have witness but still they have nothing to show for it. Remember football is a team game and thats the reason why messi 'll aways get the nod ahead of his rival(RONALDO)... |
Enyeama loses mother, apologizes for missing Tanzania game Sep 3, 2015 03:06:18 The Lille goalkeeper’s parent has passed away and it is the reason for his opting out of the Nigeria game against the Taifa Stars Vincent Enyeama’s mother has passed away it has emerged, hours after Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh told media that the goalkeeper opted out of the Super Eagles ahead of their trip to Tanzania without an excuse. The 101-capped Enyeama posted a message on his Instagram page on Wednesday afternoon apologizing to Nigeria fans but fell short of stating the reason for his absence. However, it has been learnt that the goalkeeper’s parent died and it was the reason for his painfully written apology on Instagram. “So sorry I won't make it out there to wear this shirt,” Enyeama wrote alongside an artist’s impression of him in a Nigeria jersey. “So sorry that I won't be standing there singing the anthem of my sweet NIGERIA. #WEARENIGERIA. “I wish that this darkness didn't come in daylight. I wish that I could turn back the hand of time. I wish,I just wish that I could take away this pain. Let the rain wash away this pain,” the bereaved player concluded. Golden Eaglets hold Korea in Suwon Cup opener Sep 2, 2015 22:30:44 Emmanuel Amuneke’s wards forced the Taegeuk Warriors to a scored draw at the international cadet championship opener Nigeria U17 played a 1-1 draw with hosts Korea U17 in the opening match of the 2015 Suwon International Youth Football Tournament played on Wednesday. Funsho Bamgboye’s 26th minute strike pulled the Golden Eaglets back to level terms after Lee Sang Heon’s third minute effort put Choi Jin-cheul’s side aside in the third minutes. “I think it was a fair result though we would have loved to win,” coach Emmanuel Amuneke said after the game. "It was a good game for us; we created more chances in the second half though we failed to take them." With the result, Nigeria and Korea are jointly in second position behind Brazil who beat Croatia 2-1 in the tournament's opening match. Amuneke’s wards face Brazil on Thursday while Croatia slug it out with Croatia. Goal.com |
adegwurulez:westham? Ouch! White hartlane could have been a better home for him. |
BascoVanVeli:good one for him. Goodnews for our foreign players. Gr8 future awaits d national team. I just hope sey Mikel n Moses follow d backdoor commot for chelsea n get good playing time elsewhere since de've fallen bellow the pecking order. |
Sir. GoodJOE is on point NACHO is a legend in making. Playing and training alongside good/excellent players will bring the best out of him-building is confidence on the field n bringing out the best in him. Messi played n trained alongside Dinho, saviola, xavi, Deco etc and this players made him. Remembering the first two assist from Dinho that led to Messi's first professional goal though d first one was ruled offside yet still Dinho kept giving him ball until that exquisite lob led to a goal. Do you think such could have happen in an average team-NO. Every player in an average team wants to be a sub7 an thereby no room for grooming. So, Nacho hasn't choose wrongly. It's only a matter of time-the lad 'll soon explode. |

Hello everyone! Wow d thread is bubbling a bit. Welcoming Sir. Nerd n others back to d forum after a long break. I really enjoyed d justice Sir Nerd n Sir Icon were doing to Kelechi's issue n of his bench role at city-t was just like watching a ping pong game. Thumbs up to you folks. Now to sir Icon, nacho isn't over hyped pls. The guy is rare gem. I can't remember the first day I saw him play on d screen-i knew Nigeria has gotten a long awaited football star after d likes of Jay jay. I was happy we'll not be using an icognito No 10(MIKEl) again in our national team. Now city has turn him to be a forward playing more as a SS and this 'll be good for is dev. He has justified himself by making d match day squad in a star studded team like city... Let's be patient wit this dude.very soon he'll get playing time cos city 're playing in 4 competitions this season and this'll give him chance considering his age and race. Here I rest my case. *Takes an humble bow* |
Kano pillars an unsing hero. Over 200 unbeaten home matches. Damn t-what are d media men doing. If na for oyinbo den for enter guiness record. I hope d jinx breaks today |
NIGERIA OUR FATHERLAND, A LAND BLESSED WITH NATURAL AND HUMAN RESOURCES. THE GIANT AND HOPE OF AFRICA. A NATION SO LOVED BY THE CREATOR-one f the countries in the world which has minerals in the 3 forms of matter Solid(iron ore) liquid (crude oil) and gas. It's only on my father'sland all kind of crops grow and do well. Few or no natural disasters-even the earthquake line in West Africa running from Mauritania to Rep. Of Benin went into the seabed as it was about entering into Nigeria and resurface in Cameroun. No records of tsunami, Volcanic eruption and hurricanes in our Land. So also we are blessed in all human fields and endeavours. We're always the best in whatever we do! But Human and Resource management as been our bane. Looking at various Nigerian athletes especially our footballers starting from those who play in divisions of lower leagues to those who ply their trade in topflight leagues both at home or farway-one thing distinguishes them-TALENT. I can't imagine how gr8 this nation will be if we shun corruption and allow the best to represent us. Amuneke, SIASIA, Oliseh and other men at d helms you have no excuse to give! GOD BLESS NIGERIA! |
After reading Mr. Iroha's epistle concerning nacho's ability to adapt to d rigorous activities of English league. I do think it's wrong to say nacho isn't ready to play in EPL. He has shown to the whole world what he is capable of. So, why not give him d opportunity to showcase his talent or is t wen he clocks 25 before we start watching him. If I may ask how old were walcott, lennon, sterling etc when de started playing for their respective clubs. Pls leave this boy alone. if u can't support, hype(like d whites do) and praise our own den backout. Thank God sef aguero de break... Wishing the lad d best in his professional career. |
That No. 27 got me laughing. At least a Nigerian made d list |
Thank God o! Na on top this match my mind de as I de watch english community shield(arsenal-chelsea). E come reach a time for d ball house i come bring my phone out de look for updates. Happy we made t-cos me fear dat man called Roy. |
RobinHez:and He should always have humanity in Mind. Unlike those who invented things that can annihilate man's race. |
RobinHez:I was wondering too. Asking myself is t d same faraday I learned about. That dude is a rare genius working wit the likes of Davy in d 17th century. I just love d man-cos no matter his achievement he sticked to his believe. Denying an invitation from d british to join other scientist to create a chemical weapon to be use against enemies. Inventors with HUMANITY IN MIND! |
