I just check tru d list!
I'm as amazed as every other person here is.
Good list but are these men d best d country has?
Siasia's needs to justify d reason he excluded d likes of Isaac Success, established n in form Leon Balogun(our current captain of defence)...
We all hope those invited do us proud.
But the fact still remains that Nigeria soccer is synonymous to Nigeria politics where godfatherism is been played out.
I don't want to criticise sia1 now-'patience'. Who knows may be that team list is nff influenced.
That is why a foreign grade A coach will still remain d best. cos de can't be easily manipulated like d indigenous ones!

Well, my opinion is this, Oliseh was not fit to coach the Super Eagles in the first place but due to one reason or the other which i am not ready to disclose now, NFF appointed Oliseh.

The thing about Nigerian coaches which i don't like is that they select players based on sentiment and nepotism only.

Foreign coach is long over due but if only Siasia and Garba are considered then i will raise no eyewbrow against local coaches.
"Well, my opinion is this, Oliseh was not fit to coach the Super Eagles in the first place but due to one reason or the other which i am not ready to disclose now, NFF appointed Oliseh."

BlackAlbino6:

NFF is a body of people who can never learn from their past mistakes. They did the same thing to Coach Amodu Shuibu. After he qualified us for the 2010 World Cup, they went ahead to engage Coach Lars Lagerback who could not take us any where.

On a comparative note, the amount spent on the same Coach's contract for just six months or so was enough to build standard football academies in each of the geopolitical zones of the nation, according to experts.

There is one problem that is so common with most Nigerian Institutions; lack of trust in home grown managers. Left alone, if NFF must engage a foreign Coach, it must be people in the class of Arsen Wenger, Guardiola, Pellegrini, etc. Any thing short of this is just a waste of tax payers' money.

You're so on point Sir. BlackAlbino6(what a funny moniker)!

It is better for us to keep recycling our local coaches who have won us either a grade or senior trophy than go for a mediocre coach.

Yes Micho is a good coach, but not good enough to handle our national team 'the super eagles' where most of of our players will pay his 12months salary without stress.

His success with uganda, rwanda et al teams can not be disputed. But these countries are no close to Nigeria(Don't be deceive by FIFA monthly ranking).

Working under a hostile n imposing administrators is enough to make him fail before assemblying his team...

NFF knowing fully well that 'their will be done' might not just be done with grade A (world class) coaches, will always go for a foreign carpenter thereby putting the hearts of millions of sport loving nigerians on d line.

Caspian22:
HOW WILL THE SUPER EAGLES WILL LINE UP UNDER SIA SIA!?

Samson siasia has taken over as the current super eagles coach. Let me just get to the point of how we expect the next super eagles line up to be.
Here are so important things to take note of in his new team.

1. A local based goalkeeper
Yes, I don't really think he'll like Carl ikeme. He might choose to give s change to Daniel Emmanuel who we all know was very impressive at the Afcon U23. Dele alampasu will also be given his chance too.

2. Daniel Ekpolo might be given a cap.
Ever since siasia took charge of the U23 he has been calling this guy up.

3. SiaSia loves Isaac success.
We all know he always call this guy up and talks a lot about him.

4. Many players in diaspora will be called up..
Don't worry siasia will call up every foreign born player. He is the only coach that scouts abroad well.

5. Mikel will play a big part in his new team.
Also Expect Mikel to get more useful under his former coach. Expect the return of Victor moses too.

So in view of all this let me mention the First XI that might be lined up under siasia.

Daniel Emmanuel;

Sincere Seth: Kenneth omeruo; Godfrey Oboabona; Kingsley Madu.

Mikel Obi: Azubuike Okechukwu ; Iwobi

V. Moses; Ighalo; Ahmed Musa

This is just my opinion... I would like to here urs.. tell us the new players we can expect in the SE and your suspected lineup under siasia.

Good line-up but I doubt Onazi been easily displaced from the 3-man mid-field.
I'm very sure Sia1 will be in search for the long missing third man of d trio missing in that team. But Iwobi isn't matured enough to fill d gap. I fear for Igboun...

Oghenekaro Etebo is there. Look again. He's among the foreign-based pros.

As for Sokari, he's now with CS Sfaxien of Tunisia (same club as Junior Ajayi who also made the 30-man list). Sokari not making the list may have to do with "that incident" before the U-23 Afcon. Remember?

TheGoodJoe:

Musa can play as a center forward. He has played there before and he is more of a natural finisher than Victor Moses. If we want an attacker to pair with Ighalo. Musa is the best option.
This is not a friendly match where we can be experimenting or giving a player a trial in a new position. Musa as a forward or pairing ighalo is a no no no for me. Musa's finishing is not that good. He squanders So many chances in 1 on 1 cases with the goal keeper so he is not trustworthy enough. Let him just keep to his wing and terrorise the defence with the pace he has got.
Unless it is another Musa you're talking about.
SportsRe: All The News About The Olympic Eagles (U-23) HERE! by AIG07: 9:30am On Feb 20, 2016
TheGoodJoe:
All of a sudden, you guys are forgetting Musa. The captain can also play as a striker. We also have Simon Moses. In a 4-3-3 formation, we have Ighalo up front, Musa and Simon as Support strikers/Wing Forwards.

That leaves, Nacho and Success as Subs on the bench. I think Coach Siasia would prefer starting these guys than leaving them on the bench.

Martins will sit as a Sub for Ighalo. While Chikatara sits as a second attacking Sub for the Super Eagles.
i didn't know y no one is seeing d 4-2-3-1 formation as an option. To me its d best option where we could easily swap to a 4-4-2 formation. In the former we'll be able to deploy more players to d attack. While we have two CM who are strong blockers who can shield our defence perfectly well.
My 4-2-3-1 goes like this
Defenders;Onazi, Mikel; Musa, Iheanacho(playing directly behind d lone striker), Moses(either V. Or S); Ighalo. Then Iwobi, success, n others could just be a cover up. This combo will be deadly.
This is just my take!

Hello to great Nigeria pig farmers.!
I have few questions to ask on the basis of pig production in the tropics where Nigeria as a country falls. I'll be grateful to ur ans cos I know they 're coming from practicing farmers.

Now to the questions:
1. What breeds are good for breeding, fattening in this part of the world?
2. Where n how can one get these breeds?
3. At what age do fatten pigs reach market size(slaughtering size) with good meat quality-if possible add picture in correlation to d age of the pig(s)?
4. Does change in season affects raising pig in Nigeria. If yes, which time f d yr is best to raise n fatten pigs?

I'll be waiting 4 ur replies. Thanks...

Oliseh coming, i knew he was nt experienced enough bt i didnt like Keshi either so i thought lets try Oliseh hu knows.....

If Oliseh is later axed(which is even imminent) looking @ d feud between him and his employer, I'll root for a foreign COACH not a carpenter who will handle n nurture the rising Golden generation into Stardom and make them world beaters cos i'm not seeing oliseh doing this.

Oliseh, Oliseh, Oliseh. Do not forget to count it.

Why are you misyarning like this? Are you the first coach to coach in Nigeria?

Is it Mikel or Emenike, or Simon Moses or Musa or Onazi or Balogun that have not sacrificed to play for Nigeria without Bonuses. I hope you are not preparing an excuse for failure.

You are the coach, in the voice of Ighalo, the boss of the Super Eagles. Talk to your players about sacrifice and dedication. They should think more of National glory than their bonuses.

How come Coach Keshi motivated them to play for years without Bonuses.

Please, I am waiting for Oliseh's public apology for his constant attack on Coach Keshi.

If the heat is too much for you, step out of the kitchen.
this man should just take a bold step n resign cos he has started losing confidence n faith in himself!
To resign might just be good for him so he can face is health squarely n start to think of how he can contribute to our football development in the nearest future.

It is disheartening seeing our loving homebased eagles crashed out of this year's CHAN tournament in an inconspicuous manner after their lackluster performance against the Guiineans.

Though, Coach Oliseh was quick to defend his boys saying that they were playing on an 'empty stomach' hmmm... Is that true? Well, if I may ask Is t possible for an hungry man to play all 90mins in 3 consecutive matches without coming up with health complication(s)(sir. TheSuperNerd should help out wit a name).

this(unpaid match winning bonuses/allowances) has always been the story we keep on hearing from eagles camp whenever they are representing us. I could remember instances when this same issue has ruined our outings-one f them coming from recent 2014 FIFA World cup held in brazil where keshi's boys were carried away with this same match bonus palava.
Am tired of this same old story... I think t's time our football administrators drum t to the hears of our coaches n players that they are not called to play for winning bonuses but rather see their representation has a priviledge to fly the country flag thereby making history by hoisting d flag with other elite nation's.
One of the 2014world cup winning german player said 'german teams only start to receive winning bonuses from the quarterfinals' n this has been of help to them as de have nothing to distract them in their quest for glory.
We need to borrow this leave from this countries.

FIFA says soccer clubs don’t have to release players for Rio Olympics

By Nick ZaccardiSep 25, 2015, 9:42 AM EST

Soccer clubs are under no obligation to allow their players to play in the Rio Olympic men’s tournament, FIFA said Friday.

“The event is not part of the international match calendar,” FIFA said in a press release. “However, FIFA is asking for support from the clubs to allow players who are called up by their national teams to be given the chance to be part of the Olympic experience.”

The move could impact Brazil’s biggest sports star, Barcelona striker Neymar, who has said he’s made his intentions to play in the Olympic soccer tournament known to his club.

In 2012, FIFA ordered club teams to allow under-23 players to compete in the Olympics. In 2008, the Court of Arbitration for Sport ruled Barcelona did not have to release Lionel Messi to compete in the Olympics, though Messi did end up winning gold with Argentina anyway.

In May, Brazil national team coach Dunga, who is also the under-23 Olympic team coach after the firing of Alexandre Gallo, said Neymar’s participation in the Rio Olympics was dependent on talks with Barcelona, according to O Globo.

Neymar may be the 2016 Olympic host nation’s most famous potential Olympian, but there is at least some question of whether he will suit up at the Rio Games.

Copa America Centenario is slated to take place from June 3-26. Soccer at the 2016 Olympics takes place from Aug. 3-20. Neymar plays for Barcelona in La Liga, whose season usually begins in late August. That would be a busy summer of national team duty, which may not sit well with Barcelona.

Three of the world’s other top players — Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo, Paris Saint-Germain’s Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Messi — also play internationally for nations that qualified for Rio 2016 (Portugal, Sweden and Argentina).

World Cup winner Germany also qualified for Rio.

Olympic soccer teams are made up of players aged 23 and under. There’s also an option of having three over-age players, which is where Neymar, Ronaldo, Ibrahimovic and Messi would come in.

Some nations take greater advantage of the Olympic rule that allows three over-age players more than others. In 2012, Brazil used its exceptions on three exceptional players —Hulk, Marcelo and Thiago Silva — who started for Brazil in the 2014 World Cup.

Brazil, which has won five World Cups, has never won Olympic gold in soccer. It won silver in 1984, 1988 and 2012 and bronze in 1996 and 2008.

Neymar, then 20, was part of the 2012 Olympic team that lost to Mexico in the final.

Also Friday, FIFA confirmed that the Qatar 2022 World Cup would not interfere with the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, as the IOC has said for months.

The 2022 World Cup dates are Nov. 21-Dec. 18, which will coincide with various winter sports seasons.
imagine FIFAuttering such statements. This has always been d bane of Africans. Cos now all d big guns mentioned above will finally be released for their countries(portugal, germany, argentina, brazil...) by dia clubs. While our own players playing in other lowly rated clubs won't make d count. Their clubs'll be giving excuses like d tournament is not on fifa calender n for this reason de won't be available...
I just hope we'll be able to parade our best legs
