Pls pls pls m I d only one that is tired of all this. even at 1am Naija time don't u guys ve husbands. I see update that 79 new post I click hoping to read some good stuffs n m seeing this as if we don't get enough drama from Naija movies. It really does make me wonder how people can fight like this on an anonymous site how they live in Reality. Just imagine if these 2 were neighbours sometimes all u need to do is be d bigger person n work away.

What stared all this when to travel. Every sensible person know u can't use Mrs A to Judge Mrs B every pregnancy is diff . If u a stay at home mom or business woman u wont understand why someone wants to travel at 35 weeks so stay out of it pls n don't start being judgemental n all. People ve travelled at 36 weeks n didn't ve babies on the plane. I m a working mom I travelled at 34 weeks plus n still ve a month to Go BGG.

Pls next time there is a need for all this unending argument pls open a thread n called "------ meet me here let's argue" MOD pls next time use ur banning powers.

Meanwhile based on what r we comparing Naija n US health care is it see finish that they let us come birth there.pls stop it. Next we will start comparing education SMH. Pls let's get back to the thread topic. abeg.

Hi Mabel. I don't think u need to change doc. I m using him too n my appointments r just fine. Really if u don't ve any complications that needs sorting out what else do u want to discuss. If u ve questions of cos u can ask him n he will gladly answer. On my first appointment with him we even talked n joked about Naija n he explained why he doesn't like using Methodist. Even gave me directions to d hospital.

Peeps if u ve questions feel free to ask ur Doc wit all d money paid they owe u that much.

Pls mothers in the house that have had deliveries using epidural and then not using vice versa.
I observed that mothers who used epidural took a lot longer to push their babies out because that painful urge wasn't there. Trying to decide on to do and not to do?
What was your experience like?

Hellos .I think u are looking in the wrong thread.there should be a thread about epidural somewhere i saw one recently.

Epidural did not affect my ability to push. cos u hooked up to a monitor and the nurses can see when u having a contraction and tell u to push.

My Darl did you read where I said MY OPINION. no offence but what that simply means is you dont ve to agree u can feel free to disagree but without quoting me just state your own opinion Darl.

Vineb:

I don't agree with you that anything less then $10k is low. I came to US with houston as my POE when I was 23weeks pregnant n I had $7500 with me. Had email correspondent from dr Fagbohun with analysis of his bills, had my bank statement, my hubby's bank statement n pay stubs etc . N I showed a medical report of 2 pregnancy I loss in Nigeria due to complications as my reason for coming in early. I didn't have issues at all.
Before I joined this group I used to think traveling with $10k n above was an issue. I actually joined the group after I got to houston. Na make baba God grant us favor be koko.

@Airpure thanks for your respose., truly appreciate. But my fear since I didn't state during my interview at the embassy that I was coming to give birth in the USA (though was not pregnant as at that time I applied), is it right to say at POE that I am here for that purpose if asked? Though I have the feeling I won't be asked since my prey is not visible yet, but if asked should i say yes? Is it also wise i take along email correspondence with the hospitals and i will be carrying abt $5k cash....

If asked pls say yes. I m of d opinion that anything less Dan $10k may raise concerns ..5k way too small.plus u will surely be asked how long u stayin over 6 months not possible also says u ve no job or business ties.

Either wait n go when ur preggy has progressed with change of intent letter or u go now come back n go layer.

Hello Peeps.

I arrived Houston Via Atlanta.

Trip was grt cos to me time flew fast.changed clothes did my make up and all on the plane.

When I joined the queue at POE I found myself in a line that that been attended to by a lady that seem to be taking her time asking questions I tried to relocate to another but was told to go back.well I went back n asked God 4 his favour which be granted abundantly.

The only questions she asked me was how many are u n she answered herself saying 2 plus d one on d way with a smile. I just said yes n smiled back.

She then asked how long will I be staying I said 2 n half months

Final question.how much do u ve on u. I told her was well over 10k my main strategy.

She stamped me in for 6 months n told me to go declare my cash

Found my self in secondary inspection I guess. Filled d form I was given. Then asked if I had d receipt for the birth of my first child I said yes n showed it.he looked n said I was free to go have my bags checked Cos I de cleared I had food.

I had loads of fish enough to open a small shop. starch, pap loads of spices n indome onions but only my Indomine was sized.

Now in Houston weather is great infact 2 hot

Thanks 4 all d replies on the best mobile network provider I think I will settle for TMobile or Simple Mobile

Did anybody watch this to the end. What d woman did was horrible but OMG imagine being married to this type of man. Nagging n blaming her for everything. For him not getting a Job with Salvation Army. (Most women will rather be doc) to him not getting promoted faster .people forget that living abroad is very different from living in Naija .here u can get 10 maids over there every one works n contribute to d family they both had busy lives there should ve being more planning instead of expecting she should be d one pickin d kids cos she is a woman.

Some pastors have d same problem he has. What happens is dat cos they r pastor's the act like saints outside n something else indoors this builds up resentment in d wife over time.

For things to get so bad that his wife is taunting him with her affairs something must ve made her that way.m guessing a result of built up anger n all.n m guessing she also has her own long story of what he did to make her that way. So I won't judge.

Hello Dear. Congrats again. Pls can u share a breakdown of ur bill I really like to know d total cos I intend using same hospital.

Regards.

anonymousmum:
Hello all,

Update on Houston Methodist Hospital Sugar Land -

I was billed an extra $2500 because:

- My labour was prolonged (almost 24 hours) and included extra fetal monitoring by the nurses...
- I used a whole lot of medications because I was induced (reason for induction was that USS said my baby was big - turned out not to be so big after all).

Baby did not incur any additional charges so I have received my zero balance letter for baby.

Discussed extensively with the financial counsellor, final position is that because I am cash paying she reduced it to roughly $1200, with the option of paying over a period of 1yr. After concluding payment I will get the zero balance letter.

Right now I just tire for the system, I guess it could have been worse so I am grateful to God.

Kykes I have sent you a PM, wanted to know if you had a similar experience with them? I know u have your hands full with your babies, thanks.

worry359:

They will not cancell your visa
but if you turn up at point of entry, looking pregnant without a plan, doctors contact and proof of finance to pay for birth
you can be sent home.
If you have a child on visit visa without telling them, even if you pay.
Next time you renew your visa it can be a ban for fraud.

(Just what could happen)

Honesty is the best policy so tell them now and get doctors information.

Not True. I had my child on visiting Visa went for renewal will all my proof of payment n my visa was granted n being granted since den.

Quick question to 2nd (and more times) mothers....pls how does one stop the chances of having a big baby? As in what can I do to reduce the chances of that happening? Because that will mean CS and I don pay for vaginal undecided.
Of course my priority is the best delivery for my child, but can I do anything to greatly reduce that chance?

Watch what u eat cos that's Wat baby gets. N pls stay away from sodas .

My Darl thanks 4 ur point I use to be like u campaigning for giving newbies a chance but the fact remains that reading as much as u can is for ur own good as her post showed.

Believe me ve been checking this thread out daily n for d past 2 weeks the only informative info I ve gotten is from the good lady that posted her POE story. If u read back u will understand that in a week we use to ve more info here than we ve had in d last 1 month.

Or is it cos Phema n Co ve gone to ve their babies n even headed back.

HotChoco2:

I am fairly new as a member on this thread but i have always been a guest reader. I think we should cut the newbies some slack on this issues of reading the thread from the beginning. As at today, the thread has 350 pages which is a lot to read from start to finish. I will suggest that if someone asks a question and you feel the answer has been given a while back and you do not feel like responding again, you can just ignore. I think its better that a zillion people telling newbies to go and read from the beginning.

Let's be a little nicer and accommodating...its not easy. grin

My opinion!

Hi, am new here...... n I need help. mabels I see u r using Dr. Fagbohun, pls can I get his contact. Am a june mum. Was at the American embassy for my interview today and something funny happened. All was going well, till the vo officer saw my letter from Doctores parati. Then he said he needs a letter from an obyGgyn and gave me a form to bring back on a monday or Wednesday when I have a letter from a gyny. So I have to start looking for another hospital I guess. The letter is valid for a year.

Hello sorry you have to redo your interview. This clearly happened because people have refused to read if u had u would ve seen this issue came up before and alot of people stopped using them.

Now 3 threads ve been spent on just where to buy PTA n document needed when we have banks in all neighbourhood.

Glad I got here before the none reading culture started.

Please for the newbies go n read at least from the middle of the thread

All the best peeps
