Meeeeennn I heard that comment from Otedola ooo. At first I was wondering if he wasn't going to talk to the press. 'Cos all that while, it was his lawyer that was answering questions from press men. At the tail end end of the interview..., the billionaire dropped the bombshell and I quote: "whatever is done in darkness will come out in lightness".

This "melogrammar" alone has proven to right-thinking Nigerians that the purported telephone conversation b/w Otedola and Faruk was a fallacy, or at best a cock-and-bull story. 'Cos the Otedola's voice and diction I heard in that audio is far more polished than this "melogrammartical" piece he just dropped

Honestly, the man has done nothing wrong from my point of view. What I would really frown at is if the man is not happy doing it. As in if he is really doing it under duress from his wife so as to maintain peace in the family. From the expression on that man's face, I doubt if he is happy doing what he is doing now. In that case, he is less than a man.

I wonder when our so called elder statesmen will learn to speak with decorum. Imagine that kind of ignominous comment from Obasanjo, a supposed elder statesman. Gen. Buhari just recently dropped his own bombshell courtesy of unguarded utterances, and the dust is yet to settle. And now baba iyabo... Instead of these people to accept the fact that they have woefully failed their generation and the present generation and meekly beg for forgiveness from God and man, they keep going about opening their mouth at every opportunity pretending to be saints. Anyway, I blame journalists for giving these men attention

Health / KFC To Pay $8.3m To Poisoned Girl In Australia - Fast Food Lovers Beware!!! by Ajengogo(m): 3:57pm On Apr 27, 2012
Fast-food giant KFC has been ordered to pay $8.3m (£5.1m) to the family of an Australian girl left severely brain damaged after being poisoned by a chicken meal.

Monika Samaan fell ill with salmonella poisoning after eating a "Twister" wrap at a KFC restaurant near Sydney in 2005.

The poisoning left her wheelchair-bound and unable to speak.

KFC said it was "deeply disappointed" by the decision and would appeal.

'Limited resources'

A judge of the Supreme Court of the state of New South Wales awarded the A$8m damages after ruling last week that KFC had breached its duty of care to the girl.

The family's lawyer, George Vlahakis, said they were relieved by the decision.

"Monika's severe brain damage and severe disability has already exhausted the very limited resources of the family," he said.

"Monika is now a big girl and they are finding it increasingly difficult to lift her and to look after her basic needs as well as look after Monika's younger siblings.

"The compensation ordered is very much needed. KFC have to date been determined that Monika does not receive a cent."

KFC, which is owned by Yum! Brands, expressed surprise at the judge's ruling, insisting the evidence did not show it caused Monika's disability. It has indicated it will appeal.

"We feel deeply for Monika and the Samaan family. However, we also have a responsibility to defend KFC's reputation as a provider of safe, high-quality food," a company manager said.

The court was told that Monika was in a coma for six months after she, her parents and brother fell ill with vomiting and diarrhoea after sharing the wrap, the AAP news agency reports. The other family members all recovered.

The family's lawyer told the court that at busy times, the restaurant would reuse chicken that had been dropped on the floor.

Politics / Re: Breaking News;m-a-s-s-a-c-r-e-! Fulani Herdsmen, Boko Haram Kill 39 •13 Villages by Ajengogo(m): 9:42am On Mar 06, 2012
On the Fulani-Tiv crisis, I think some of the Tivs' leaders of thoughts must have betrayed their people. If not I see no reason why a nomadic fulani minority can be this brazen in violence against the inhabitants. This same fulanis once tried this nonsense in one local govt area in the middle belt. By the time the people retaliated by killing any fulani man/woman in sight, within days there was no single fulani in that LGA. It was very very long after that their elders made an overture to the chiefs of the LGA and were reluctantly allowed back but on a carefully signed agreement with stringent conditions. Because these idiots know that there is plenty of grazing land for their cattle in d middle belt; but they don't want to be humble enough to enlist the support of the inhabitants. In that particular LGA today, no single fulani man/woman (together with his/her cattle) breathes air, drinks water, eats food, walks on their land, transacts business or even expresses personal freedom beyond limits set by the LGA.

What I have learnt from fulanis' behaviour is that they can go to any extent to ensure the survival of their cattle. If the inhabitants grant them the option of violence, they (fulanis) will exploit it to the fullest. If, however, they are taught the bitter lesson of life just the way this LGA dealt with them, they (fulanis) will then be very humble. And they will employ all the humble means of ensuring the survival of their animals

His reply: Don't let me hear that name abeg. That man created the war that led to the early death of my daddy which ultimately made me and my siblings not to be educated. As far as I am concerned he doesn't deserve any honour at all!!! If I have my way, I would spit at his corpse 100 times.

Please on no account must anyone in his/her right senses abuse any religion just because he/she doesn't understand a particular concept in that religion. Senconly and most importantly, boko haram has nothing to do with islam. Ask and u shall be enlightened. Simple and short.

For the one that asked, Eid-el Maulud is the celebration of the birthday of the Noble Prophet Mohammed (SAW) just as we celebrate the birth of Isa (Jesus) (AS) during Christmas

It's quite disheartening for Nigeria to have this kind of First Lady at this stage of our National life. If these grammatical concorctions were to have oozed from the mouths of the likes of Tafawa Balewa's wife, Ahmadu Bello's wife, Nnamdi Azikiwe's wife, etc.; it would have been understable knowing fully well that few women were educated then. We are now fifty-something years into our independence; and the best first family we can present is what we have presently In terms of personality, charisma, national brand/pride, eloquence, leadership and sagacity, methink this family has fallen far far far below any benchmark one can imagine in most respected nations of the world. This is so sad.

Come to think of it, both of them (President & wife) are products of uniport. Isn't that a big dent on the quality of education in that university? I am just wondering!!! No ill feelings folks!!!

I guess revolution of the Middle Eastern magnitude or more is imminent in Nigeria. The only sector that makes people feel Nigerians is now being eroded painfully. Gentlemen and ladies, this is the height of government's ineptitude!!! Our economy, our manufacturing capacity, our educational system, our political system, our traditional system, our agricultural system, our financial system, our national pride, etc. have been so teribly eroded. We sit there and expect a messiah to come from only God knows where to salvage the situation. Do we still continue to sit and expect things to change positively even as our dear football is being teleguided into comatose; the game that has given Nigeria much respect, the game that has given prominence to Nigerians who ordinarily would'nt have earned recognition in their life time - the likes of Teslim Balogun, Segun Odegbami, Rashidi Yekini, J. J. Okocha, Kanu Nwankwo and several other stars?

I strongly believe there is no better time for us to start the revolution struggle than now. We have had enough!!!

every timme they kept deceiving us by making arrest of BH memebers.
mention 1 that have been executed. they are only arresting innocent people.
bleep them all.

@isbelhma

You just took the word from my mouth. All these security agencies are the same, Always arresting innocent Nigerians to score cheap acclaim. The day I lost faith in praising our security agencies for any arrest was when, back then, in kogi state, a team of police officers arrived at a robbery point on the busy Ajaokuta - Ayangba road, just immediately after the River Niger. A young timber contractor (a man everybody knows very well around that place) was riding his motorcycle past the point unaware of the robbery incident. The  man was on his way to the nearby filling station to buy diesel/petrol for his workmen. Being the only person around the spot (apparently the robbers must have left after having a field day), the policemen opened fire on the defenceless timber contractor and gunned him to death. The corpse was then taken to Lokoja. It was all over the state and FG radios that a member of a robbery gang was shot dead while the other members were still at large. Even after severe protest from the man's family, the police still insisted that the man was part of the robbery gang. The police even threatened to lock up those family members.

So u see, I don't believe this JTF a bit over the so-called arrest of suspected boko haram members. Make God protect us all (Amen)

Qualifying for the Nations Cup final is not our birth right anymore!!!!! We 've got to earn it by preparing adequately for it. The question is: do we really have the best materials in terms of committed technical managers and committed proffessional players that we had in the past who made qualifying for the Nations Cup so easy for the country? The answer is no. In terms of motivation, our present crop of technical crew and players are the most motivated in Africa in terms of fanatical support and finance. They don't lack anything as far as I am aware. They are just not committed. Imagine a Nigerian player who was going to earn $10,000 as match bonus being humiliated in front of his home crowd by a Guinean player that was going to earn a mere $2,000 as match bonus. Imagine what would have happend if the Guinean player was offered half of that $10,000 ($5,000). Abeg I no fit the imagine again sef,  Our players are a bunch of retards with the exception of few guys, though

I dont know why I have to open this link in the first place. But now that I am here, let me make this final decree in the interest of posterity (not history any more) that we should henceforth cease to even think that this man existed in the Nigerian House of Rep. Because the more we write and make comments about this man, the more lunatic he becomes. I am totally ashamed of the constituency that this man represented. But thank God the constituency realized its mistake belatedly and denied him another chance of messing it up totally.
Jobs/Vacancies / An Unhealthy Working Environment In A Leading Isp In Nigeria by Ajengogo(m): 7:39pm On Jun 23, 2011
Hello Nigerians,

I just really cannot stomach this any more. There is this ISP located on Saka Tinubu Street Victoria Island, Lagos. Their customer service and accounts departments are always filled with terrible cigarrette smoke. I mean you can percieve the terrible odur of the cigarette immediately you step into the receptionist's office. I then inquired to know the source of the odour when it became unbearable for me. I was shocked to know that the odour was coming from the office of one of their white bosses. The staff members (who are majorly nigerians ) are helpless in this situation. And because they are subjected to this environment on a daily basis, they seem to be no more allergic to to it.

My own worry for these helpless staff members is that medical experts have said that exposure to secondary cigarette smoke such as this is even more dangerous to one's health than it is to the smoker himself. Can't something be done to this oyinbo guy before he kills our Nigerian guys for us?

My company is a subscriber to their services. Anytime I go there, I always make sure I don't enter the accounts and customer care offices at all

Properties / Re: Is It Possible To Get An Accommodation Directly From Landlord by Ajengogo(m): 1:33pm On May 19, 2011
I have observed that anybody can be an agent. It doesn't take anything to be one. In that case, they are needless and should be flushed out of the system. What we need in Lagos are landlords or landlord representatives. Once a prospective tenant meets with the landlord or his rep and both agree on the tenancy fee, the contract should then be signed in a competent law court or any relevant govt agency. The court or agency, as the case may be, should now have an updated database of landlords, properties and associated tenants within specified regions of the state.  That's all!!! No agent fee, no agreement fee!!!
