You mean More Malaria patients were discharged?
Audio Discharge.
I keep asking myself and the entire Nation what the hospitals and agencies discharging patients has been administering to the patients that aid such fast recovery and recuperation.
And why can’t the Medical researchers, virologist and Other health professionals come together and enquire for that special gene, trait of biological concept of the body of those discharged patients and collect sample while the push effort to produce probably a temporary vaccine for the main time.
They're already doing that in Lagos but you won't want to find out so that you can always have something to say to discredit the government. undecided

Throwback:
Do you know why the Lagos state government always highlight the foreigners who have recovered from COVID-19?

To serve as reassurance to those who think being in Nigeria is a death sentence concerning recovery from the virus, and to let the foreigners know they have an equal chance recovering here in Nigeria as they would in the developed world.
You're 100% correct sir

All this ones are story . All everyone is praying for now is a cure or vaccine and how they will create more isolation centers with bed spaces . Throwing blames now is not even necessary because the whole world is facing it at the same time
It's not about throwing blames. This incidence of the outbreak in Nigeria has a lot to teach our government so it's important to identify the mistakes that were made, document it and highlight ways this could have been prevented so that in future, such a reoccurrence will not happen if we're the type that learns from our mistakes in this country.

Lagos State ask passengers on plane with third coronavirus patient to self-isolate

Lagos State health commissioner Akin Abayomi has asked passengers on the same plane with the third coronavirus patient in Nigeria to isolate for 14 days.

The third coronavirus patient is a Nigerian, who returned from the United Kingdom last Friday, Lagos State Ministry of Health said.

“If you are a passenger on flight BA 75 that arrived in Lagos on 13th March, 2020, stay at home and isolate yourself for 14 days,” Abayomi tweeted on Tuesday.

https://t.guardian.ng/news/lagos-state-ask-passengers-on-plane-with-third-coronavirus-patient-to-self-isolate/

We had since January to prepare for this virus and at March 13, 2020 their was no full isolation plans in case of an outbreak. Instead of contact tracing, he was still preaching self isolation.

If you are okay with him, it is your business. But, his incompetency is alarming.
Someone did this days before they had their first case and you still call him incompetent?

https://lagosstate.gov.ng/blog/2020/02/04/coronavirus-lasg-inaugurates-incident-command-system/

Please note, we are not talking about Min. for Health but LASG commissioner for Health undecided
Health › Re: Coronavirus: Minister Of Health & Lagos Commissioner Of Health Should Be Sacked by Ajibel(m): 12:53am On May 01, 2020
TheGoodJoe:
Can you give me a reason why you disagree? The virus spread and people died because these guys refused to fight to Quarantine returnees and save lives, if they were not going to ban incoming flight.

Mocking does not give you credence. Tell me why the people who championed a recipe to lead people to their early graves in the name of self isolation deserve to keep their jobs when they can not keep people safe.
It's likely you haven't been following the Health commissioner's interviews. In one of his interviews with Channels, he was asked why wasn't LASG enforcing a strict quarantine of returnees instead of asking them to self-isolate. His response was that statistics showed Lagos receives nothing less than 3000 visitors daily via flights, where should they now be forcefully quarantined when they fly into Lagos knowing fully well not all would even stay in Lagos after arriving. At first, it was the sole responsibility of the FG Port healths authority to screen passengers and test their temperatures but when they became overwhelmed with the number and some VVIPs refused being tested, the LASG had to send in about 70 of their staff to support the efforts and collect travellers data.

So the best LASG could do was advice returnees from high-risk areas to self-isolate while they also kept in touch with them via calls. I'm sure you must have read quite a number of people released fake addresses, and also some VVIPs flagrantly disobeyed the self-isolation order.

Now please tell me how with the few points here, is the LASG commissioner for Health at fault here and does he deserves to be sacked as you claimed?
Note also that about 4 weeks before LASG had it's index case, the commissioner had already setup an incident command center to manage the eventual possibility of the outbreak even before the FG started.

Like there is no excuse why we had ample amount of time to prepare for this virus. But, no. They must act poorly. Proper testing would have revealed someone coming from an infected area had it.

If Buhari and the Lagos State Governor were serious people, the Health Minister and Lagos State health commissioner would have been sacked by now.
Sack LASG Health commissioner?

What is happening in Kano State? I suspect that there is a sinister and diabolical cover-up going on in Kano.
All of a sudden, NCDC stopped testing for Covid 19 with the claim that they don't have test kits again. People are dying like fowls and the State government is vehemently denying and playing politics with it.

Ganduje thinks Covid 19 is Politics. He even appointment his daughter as the head of Covid 19 Taskforce in Kano State.

And why is the FGN silent about what is going on in Kano? Why can't they move testing kits from Abuja and Lagos to Kano!? What has happened to billions of naira that were allocated to Covid19?
I pity the poor people of Kano. They don't have a courageous Emir like Sanusi to speak for them

The FGN is obviously clueness, when it comes to Vivid 19 pandemic.
They should move testing kits from the epicenter to Kano huh shocked

U Mean your Yoruba media hype ...fine name one sector fashola beat the list of governor I mentioned their ... education , health ... infrastructure ..name one
Fashola beats all of them hands down, and he scored so many first during his administration. His government pioneered so many reforms in the country and the records are well documented online.

Several threads have also been created in the past here in the politics section about the programmes and projects his government executed, so I won't spam this thread with information you can freely get online.

Please hype your own Akpabio, Obi did well, but don't demean Fashola's 8 years in office as a governor in the process. You can mention the fact that he struggled while a minister in the first four years which I will agree with you wholeheartedly but don't come and attempt to rubbish his stellar performance as governor of Lagos 2007 - 2015.

Firstly fashola failed as a governor ...he was no where near top 5 in his set as governor's

Ameachi ,akabio , chime , kwankwaso and Peter obi all beats him hands down

As a minister he has been at best average ....he has received more money than ameachi

Ameachi delivered Abuja kaduna rail ...Abuja metro rail ...and Lagos ibadan rail almost complete

Can u name one major thing fashola has done

Secoundly ...it's only sentiments that would make u place soludo as vp under fashola ...
There is no level of achievement fashola surpasses soludo

Soludo is world known ...infact after ngozi ..soludo is the next recognized Nigerian economist ...fashola is just a governor made by tinubu
You're such a big clown grin

Even governors during Fashola's set have praised Fashola's performance while the governor. His performance in Lagos is currently a yardstick of governance in Nigeria. That's the kind of mentality we Africans have. angry sad tongue embarassed
In Europe and in the West ( America) people announce their status.
The only reason I'm asking for that is because so that people can see their faces and identify them inorder to know the people they have had contact me.
My take though' smiley
It's this mentality that has made those who have contracted the virus scared of coming forward.

A few have announced their status in Nigeria and their stories have been shared here but a majority will prefer their details kept away from the public, same way you want people to know your HIV status.

And the government already have a way of tracking people positive cases have been in contact with, without releasing their information online.
