I miss the part on the $400 job monthly in the USA. This is obviously an under-G job for someone with no paper or means of legal employment. Maybe a baby-sitting job. If you try coming to USA to take a $400 under-G job, you would regret you ever step foot in the US. The sad part is that you may be stuck in it for X-number of years or forever. If I have to choose between my dignity and a $400 per month under-G job with no future, I will jejely stay in Nija with my dignity intact. If you want to hear "Wen" give it a try.

A society doesn't have to be wealthy for people to have a sense of humane existence. If Nigerians can focus on pursuing justice and a sense of order, that mean government officials doing their job which guarantees a modestly planned city, lined roads with people driving as humans, adequate security...... I will pack my luggage and fly home the next day. I won't bother about NEPA thanks to solar and will provide my own water system. But been surrounded by poverty is no fun. They never treat you completely and even try to give you more complications so you keep coming back... because heathcare is paid by insurance. Its an iteration process. The drugs are weaker than what you get in naija for a start you can't even get simple anti biotics except you go see a doctor which will be billed from your insurance .. the doctor has to diagnose and make sure you always keep coming back. That's capitalism. Then they poison the foods to control populations ie by zipcode the big retail marts are used to destroy populations by sterilizing people via the foods. So yhe real people that enjoy u.s ate those that come here work for about 6 months then go back to naija and convert their funds to naira.
As for women... loneliness wan kill them here. Men do not want to marry. As compared to naija where you deal with the high class girl most guys here have to deal with the most toxic women on the planet lol. The things that make us tick in nigeria are impossible to get in the u.s. You'd be shocked at how much freedom you have at work. You gist play etc. Cherish that beer parlor lol.. loud music. You can buy land and it belongs to your generations. Our Healthcare is terrible but most of the population do not require them cos we're quite a healthy population as compared to the u.s. Both ends have yhe advantages and disadvantages. If you actually get a job that pays 400k omo.... stay back in naija then visit the u.s and flex then go back. Give birth to your kids here so they can be citizens and raise them back in naija.

Though you give a very extreme view about the USA, but as someone who live here, I won't say I do not have or share some of your sentiments. USA extreme capitalism is evil. If I remove the constant power supply, running water, quality healthcare and education, and modern infrastructure, then one has no business here except if you have young kids. However, as someone who just returned from a trip to Nija some days ago, living in Nigeria is like being in an open-air psychiatry with extreme chaos and disorder that make one wonder if indeed Nigerians are human. Maybe it's better in other state aside from Lagos. Extremely poor roads, flood even in areas with expensive properties, no drainage. I hate complaining about Nija but it seem to be in another "world". And in the midst of all that madness, what most of the vibrant youths care about is BBNaija.

Young man, an American visa does not allow uou to seek employment except if it's an immigrant visa that allow employment. If you try it, you go see life small and at a point would wish you had stay with your job in Nija. However if you have things planned out as per the potential obstacles and how you will surmount them, then give it a shot. Understand this, life here is OYO, as people who choose to accommodate you can only do so for a short period. If you don't have an income or ways to earn a living, even your own blood sibling wouldn't do it forever, especially if the person is married with children. My best advice for you is pursue an immigration that guarantees job or education with possibility for permanent residency.

I am not responding to your comment because I am a christian. In fact, I am a traditionalist. Did you say Jesus did not interfere in the politics of his time despite the ills? If that's what you say, then you are not educated enough to make that comment because many of Jesus words in his days targeted the people in high places including religious leaders. In fact, it was Jesus that says "give onto Cesar what is Cesar's". People intentionally asked him questions about rulers or people in high places with the intention to get him into trouble but he always shocked them with his responses. The problem with most Africans, especially Nigerians, is that people are blind followers of religion. They simply categorize themselves as this or that because either that's what they are born into, or what their community or family belong to, or it's just a fad. When I read online that the federal government banned the teaching of History in schools because it didn't want Igbos to read about the Nigerian Civil War, I believed it hook, line and sinker, even though I am a northerner.

I little bit of research would have made me realized the truth, but I was ignorant. I believed what other people said without finding out if they were right or wrong.

A school I was recently employed to teach Computer Studies wrote NECO exam, and the subject was History. I felt so stupid when I saw the question paper. If the government banned history, why is NECO, a government examination body allowing people to write History?

What I noticed over the years is that students don't like history because the subject is bulky. There are lots of dates and events to cram in history, and most students don't want to stress their brains.

I asked around today, and I realized that even though my school doesn't offer History as a subject, other schools do. Students from other schools that didn't have a NECO center, registered to write the exam in mine.

From the look of things, it is up to schools to decide if they want to offer history as a subject or not. This has got me thinking. What other lies have I been believing?

Do your research very well. History was removed at a point. I have a 17yr old neice of my spouse who did up to JSS 3 in Nigeria confirmed to me that they only did Social Studies, which presents watered down history. I remember doing History when I was in Form 3 in high school back in the days. I think the subject was reinstated by the present administration. I read about it a while ago.

The US ambassador to Nigeria has not been providing the US government back home the right information about what is going on in Nigeria. I suppose the ambassador there now is still the same one selected by Trump. Trump and his candidate are only interested in making money for US corporation. They don't care about human right.
