This man, umm, if I narrate my experience of what I learn about him after some direct interaction with insiders and while trying to get couple of things off the ground. Young Nigerians, this is one of the ancestors sitting on the destiny of million youths. All the opportunities that are supposed to flow through the system via business ventures by savvy entrepreneurs who are willing to take the risks and get millions of youths employed. Folks like this old criminal have cornered everything. The worse part is that he also use his family members to do the same. The evil angle of this whole thing is that a lot of people have lost a lot because these old criminals are not adding value to these sectors. What he does is typical of what went down with the guy that took him to court. He has hundreds of such company with different individuals. Aside from my own experience, I know of another individual in one of the western countries. That individual simply admitted to me that he had no choice but to play along because he was told that since they have the means, he would never make as much if he were to pursue the business alone. And this old criminal can continue to do this as far as he has his stranglehold on Lagos. The current governor is just a figure-head. God help the Nigerian youths. Imagine that you have thousands of evil old men like this. The same thing obtain across. He is just one of them. |
A non-extreme form of this was practiced in Yorubaland back in time but it didn't involve death. Before a man get married to a woman he must bring her before the family deity. Only women who were 100% sure dared go before the deity. However over time due to the shame this brought upon the ladies that failed the test, and the fact that the men did not want to risk finding out the bitter truth about their proposed wife, they started moving away from the family and choose to live far away from their hometown. |
Nothing new under the sun, people always say. We just have to do more research before jumping to conclusion. A newstory in UK captured a similar incident. Read here... But the difference is that it took the UK tree about two months to stand upright again. People there were equally mystified. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2572323/Mystery-40ft-fir-fell-storms-stands-upright-again.html

I think it's likely due to turgor pressure in the roots or parts of the part attached to the ground. Turgur pressure is due to osmotic forces within plants that allow movement of water within the plant or tree. It is turgur pressure that allow plants to stay upright. A plant or tree that lost turgor pressure cannot stand upright, while one that has enough turgur pressure will stay upright. I believe the tree was struck by lightening which likely caused it to lose some moisture and thus lost the ability to stay upright temporarily. However, the increase in water pressure due to water movement from the roots increase turgur pressure,, thus causing the tree to rise up agaih. But the lightening wasn't too extensive or else it could gave lay "dead".

Georgejeez:Your explanation could have been valid if there are scientific explanation. To validate it, I think it's likely due to turgor pressure in the roots or parts of the part attached to the ground. oluwaseyi0:You are not making sense. |
usagee36:It's very possible. It seem you don't know how injustice pervades the United States justice system. Go online and read about people, mostly blacks jailed for crimes they know nothing about, sometimes framed by police or in some cases the victim just pick on the wrong suspect from mug shots. You are likely saying this because you are based in Nigeria, and America seem all rosy and perfect to you. Those of us that live here know how bad things are. If I give Nigeria 10/10 for level of injustice, I will give America 7/10. For example, the father of Jamie Fox, the comedian and singer, was sent to jail on a longterm for possessing a very tiny amount of marijuana. A white suspect would have been let off. Thanks to DNA technology, a lot cases are being revisited. The man in the story below spent 44yrs in jail for a crime he know nothing about. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/ronnie-long-freed-44-years-prison-wrongful-conviction/ |
A lot of black people in USA are in jail.for crimes they did not commit. He is also likely to be in the same situation. |
SmartPolician:Anything is possible in a country filled with "mumu-People". It's in your presence that the senate that is already an extension of Buhari presidency will attempt to amend the constitution. Abi, is it not Nigeria. A country of largely docile citizens. They know they can throw anything at you all and get away with it. |
So, you want to tell me that an Igbo person or group will go about to kill his own people. Na! Not believable. It's Buhari boys that are doing the killings. This is very sad. |
Look at this one! Admit you didn't study geography in high school. This doesn't even look unique. There are crazier ones. This is obviously the effect of weathering by wind going by the near smooth surface of the rocks. If they have wedges and rough lines running round, then the weathering is done by water. See the one attached. The weathering of this is surely by wind and mostly by water, either by rainfall or most likely the entire area was submerged in an ancient sea. Weathering of rocks also occur underwater.

tutudesz:Mad man! How IPOB does compare to a terrorist group known as Boko Haram? Or you think we don't know that most of the killings and arson in the southeast US being done by DSS boys. |
Amotolongbo:Old age comes with a lot of health challenges except for those who are able to maintain a healthy lifestyle. This lier of an old man I am seeing cannot be less than 79yrs old. |
I don't pity anyone that work with any of Nigeria's security agencies. With what DSS did in Igboho's house, I wish them what they did to our man. |
You can't say it's just like Dubai because it existed before Dubai was built. I suppose you didn't know how developed Brazil is. That's why you made thar comparison. |
Oloriburuku ni awon eleyi. The person that cornered the entire resources of Lagos to himself. This is coming from a native Lagosian, Tinubu will never be president. He is just being fooled into his grave. |
KarinaLove:Your head is really is messed up. Go detoxify your mind. |
"or if you’re an atheist, pick up a piece of Sango Iron and say your life is better off today than you were in 2015." This part of his statement reveal how stupidly ignorant an average Nigerian elite is. So, in his little mind traditional worshippers are atheists. Really? People that in fact know Olodumare (i.e. God) more than the zealots that parade as Christians or Muslims. I am not talking of fake traditionalists involve evil deeds. Let us start by allowing public officials start taking oath of office the traditional way. And you see how the country will turn around for the better. |
PeaceJoyLove:I was also a One Nigeria until Buhari went to a public marriage of two governors kids few days hundreds were killed in Benue. I just decided these people are heartless and soulless. One can't share a country with people like this. And then the story that they imported bandits into the country proved me right. I mean who does that. They can keep their Nigeria to their northern terrtory. |
The official was just not dissuading the protesters, he was attempting to forcefully impede the protesters. He raised his hand to pull the PAS from one the protesters hand. Why try to step on other people's right protest? If he could attempt this in the US, imagine what he would have done if this protest happened in Nigeria. |
From a young age, I was told never to eat Okra but I never listened because I love eating it. Fast forward to about 30yrs after, I was told the same thing by Ifa (Yoruba traditional divination system). When I heard it my mind went back to the same advice I was given a long time ago. I can't forget the guilt I felt any time I used to eat okra. However, abstinence from specific food may not apply to everybody. |
It seem Buhari boys have began their operation in the southwest, the same way they freely did in the southeast and then put the blame on IPOB. Who are they going to put the blame on here. Their arch enemy number one Sunday Igboho is no more in town. So, na who dem go blame? |
Oloriburuku! If colonial masters plundered Nigeria resources, then what did you criminal military heads of state and politicians did? You can say you learn it from the colonialists. |
midolian:We know people that do beheading. They are up north. They are just on a mission in the south. |
nick50:Is like some set of mad people are on this platform. Which Dora Akinyili was killed? An individual that died from cancer.
|
byteem:What are you smoking? Dora Akunyili died from cancer. The lie that you want to promote took over your senses. |
Terrorist Buhari! We know your boys operating in the southeast are behind the targeted killings. They surely have a list of who and who to put down. You are trying so hard to stick the terrorist tag on IPOB. |
goatgoat093:We know you all government agents. We know the killers are Buhari boys in the secret service. They are trying so hard to stick the tag of terrorists on IPOB, meanwhile the real terrorists are operating freely in the north and other parts of the country. Let us just think about this. Why will IPOB be killing their own people especially those that do not have anything against them? What's the motive? It is only government secrets agents that can go around to carry out elaborate killings in the name of any group that stand up against the government. It's a standard in the world of government secret service. Go ask the CIA and FBI in America how they did the same thing in the days of civil rights protests in America. It's an open secret. It's no different in Nigeria. We still remember how the used vehicles to drop thugs among ENDSARS protesters that ended up attacking and stabbing innocent protesters. They also operated in Lagos and were responsible for part of the carnage. In fact its their people that stormed TVC in a vehicle and set it on fire as they did to other assets across. Why? To put fear and pressure on the public not to support ENDSARS protesters because ENDSARS really shook the Buhari government. |
MelesZenawi:You are probably a government agent. Go ask DSS and their killer squads that include French speaking fulanis from other part of west Africa. Remember that they used the same individuals to carry out the butchering of one of Sunday Igboho's boys . We know Buhari and his DSS are at the stage of targeted killings of prominent individuals in the south. |
Samtobh:Young man, you don't know how government secret service work. If the Saudi secret agents can go butcher a Saudi journalist to death inside their country embassy in a foreign land, how much more secret agents of a terrorist government. All these targeted killings are done by the state to stick the false tag of terrorist on IPOB. |
Obi1kenobi:We already know the killers. We know their signature when they kill. |
