Of course why would he want to leave that kind of money source?
Look at him thinking like a poverty stricken mind. Typically the Nigerian way of reasoning. If you call this a type "armed robber" salary, what would you call your senator and public officials stealing from you in broad daylight and you can't do "sisi" about it.

It encourages hatred and intolerance
What's hate in someone saying he met with bandits claiming that one of the governors in the north is a sponsor of Boko Haram. The first best thing is to take him to a civil court and let the court decide whether he has proof on what he is claiming. Even the Radio station can challenge the fine in court. Well, Nigeria has turned to a Kangaroo society.
Crime › Re: Death Sentence For Blasphemy In Kano: A Perspective By O. G. Chukkol by ajl: 2:52pm On Aug 13, 2020
Hashimyussufamao:
Death Sentence For Blasphemy At Kano: A Perspective by O. G. Chukkol

I have been following arguments on social media for the past two days about the death sentence passed on one Yahaya Aminu Sheriff for blasphemy (insulting prophet Mohammed PBH) at Kano.

Let me make few observations here:

1. There is actually a Shariah Penal Code law in Kano state

2. The said Shariah Penal Code makes provision for offences and punishments recognized in Islam

3. The Shariah Penal Code Law prohibits blasphemy and a violator risks death sentence. See section section 382 thereof.

4. The Shariah Penal Code Law of Kano applies to Muslims only

5. The Shariah Penal Code Law of Kano does not apply to non Muslims. So a Christian or any other non Muslim cannot be prosecuted under the law except if he consents to it

6. Sheriff was tried and convicted under the Shariah Penal Code Law because he was a Muslim.

7. Sheriff has the right to appeal to a higher court for his conviction to be reviewed or set aside if the trial court was wrong.

8. Governor of Kano State has the final say on Sheriff's conviction. He can pardon Sheriff and allow him go free or change the punishment or sign death warrant for Sheriff to be executed/killed as ordered by court

9. A non Muslim who insults prophet Mohammed or commits any other form of blasphemy can at best be tried under the general Penal Code law for defamation or breach of public peace or any other related offence depending on exactly what the person says

In view of the foregoing, I will completely refrain from commenting on the appropriateness of death sentence for blasphemy because it is an Islamic injunction entrenched in a written law. Besides, I may not even be objective about it because I am not a Muslim, but a Christian. I will only end up pouring my sentiment in the guise of criticism. To me, is not even logical to use my religion to condemn another religion.

I submit further, for the purpose of emphasis, that the offence of blasphemy applies to Muslims only and they are in support of it. They are comfortable with it because their religion provides for it. I cannot take panadol for somebody's headache

Had it been the offence applies to non Muslims also, I would have immediately condemned it for being unconstitutional.

It should be noted that the Shariah Penal Code was enacted pursuant to section 38 of the constitution which provides for right to freedom of religion and sections 4 and 6 of the constitution which gives states power to make laws and also establish courts for themselves and also section 36(12) which provides that person can be convicted for an offence only if the said offence is defined in a written law with sanctions attached.

That is to say, the Supreme Law of the land has given them backing. They can practice their religion provided that a non Muslim shall not be affected

Let me drop my pen here. Everything I put down here is strictly my opinion and I may be wrong.

Greetings Ladies and gentlemen

Chukkol

This individual is not a reasonable fellow. He is only pretentiously trying to be one. It's the individual religion that matter to him, not the person. There is a lot of injustice being perpetrated under the guise of religion. Here a governor captured with evidence accepting bribe is the one to sign off on the victim's death. Is that not enough justification to cry against the use of some religious lies to oppress the poor further. Someone said Kano people are planning to kill for the person they have never see. Most so called religious Africans need help. It seem only those that practice our traditional spirituality that seem to be sane these days aside from those among them that misuse the knowledge they possess.

Did they come to your country or town to hunt you down or was it the usual trouble makers looking for what is not lost and land and people to conquer that got eaten? Who are the real savages? The one that kill just one man and probably fed on him or those who exterminate natives in the thousands, take over the land and resources. Apparently most Africans have learnt nothing from history. They still believe everything written so far it's by a whiteman. How do you know this is not one of their typical fake tales my moonlight stories. Remember that most of their stories about tribe people have been debunked in the past.

segzy14:

observation please, 120ft plus 240ft=360 ft
360ft x12 inches= 4320 inches/18inches= 240 lines of blocks
240 x 9 coaches=2160 blocks
as for the cement it is 2160/60=36 bags for 6 inches while
for 9 inches it is 2160/50=43 bags of cement for 9 inches.
please cross check, i stand to be corrected.
Is the 9 coaches you are using from foundation to the top of the fence or from surface of the soil to the top of fence. Ideally, 2 coaches will be buried below the surface and the remaining will be above ground (i.e. 7 coaches). A above-ground 7 coach fence is just 5.25ft high (too low). So, it better emphasis. The standard for a 7 ft fence (from surface of soil) is 12 coaches, which translates to 9ft fence from the foundation to the top.

Why is the money not wrongly posted to my account or anyone else not connected to Magu?
Why the account of the pastor associated with Magu and not any other customer out of million customers banking with FCMB?

When such a huge amount was wrongly posted to the Pastor’s account by such migrating app, why was it not corrected and returned to where it was meant to be?

This FCMB CEO is also meant to be arrested and jailed for false witness, concealing the fact and not respecting the oath he took before appearing in front of the panel.
Nigerian banks are part of system to keep Nigerian masses in a state of poverty. Banks that offer loans at 26-30% interest rate.

That much was posted and the pastor was not aware and he kept quiet. Likewise, all the other customers whose account went to zeros also kept quiet. And the bank also did not do any QC or due diligence. In summary these banks see Nigerian masses as mugu.

Bros she is just displaying the mindset of the normal Nigerian big man that has made it through the corrupt system, she is actually seeing this boys as a threat .She is the type that just want most people to remain in abject poverty(where they see living in a normal flat as luxury or owning a used car as luxury) and remain loyal to them just to get the peanuts they throw at them (more like slave and master relationship) she is pained most youths of today have discovered a way of making money (legally or illegally) other than waiting for that government job or contract .These so called big men do not want any-form of competition for their kids. They just want the circle to continue (the rich getting richer and the poor becomes poorer) .I have met a few like this that will price your service like they are pricing tomatoes in the market yet their hand bag is running into millions of Naira .This is the type that frustrate young contractors that bid for contracts in the agency they head .This woman son was living lavishly in Dubai when she was a serving minister .
Great point. I observed a trend where few Nigerians living in the affluent areas were actually robbed and even murdered by their househelp or cook. The reason the suspect often give is that "Oga" was owing him/her salary. And when the police ask them how much was the salary, it's usually a pittance thats below minimum wage. Most Nigerian elites are largely evil. These are the people whose forefathers helped capture or sold slaves to earn a living during the gory days of slavery.

First of all, its a Jackson Use story. His integrity in media has been doubted severally thus, his reports should be read with a pinch of salt.

Secondly, I still stand that while this woman may not be totally innocent, I still think the corruption report about her is totally an hyperbole. Efcc and magu are just using her as a scapegoat to siphons money and milk the agency, tying all evidence against her. I still say it, this woman has been wealthy since time immemorial. Her husband was a former military administrator of a state on two occasions or so. She worked till high boards of shell company. Probably member of several boards and her foray into politics before minister twice. So, its not like she didn't have this money before. All that efcc said they claimed from her apart that from her residence, the buildings, the monies, efcc can't account for it cos such monies can't be audio. Billions of dollars and nairas. Where are they? There is no concrete evidence to pin her her else they would have extradited her. Just that her political career went south because of her overbearing behaviours in the later days as minister for petroleum and probably some who are afraid of what how her personal relationship with the president then could go against them.

Neway, am not here to defend her but I just don't believe in efcc stories about her, hence my stories above. Above all, true or not true, posterity will always judge accordingly.
What are you rapping Mr Man. Working as a CEO of a major oil company does not make you a millionaire or billionaire. Yes, you can get millions as bonuses but this woman wasn't Shell global CEO. Of course she would have has enough cash to throw around but not be dealing in billions. Those billions came from Nija purse or "our oil money as some people will claim". We all know the Kola guy that was her main chanel to siphon money. The guy assets were seized and some of the assets sold.

Reason to always insure your business. Though, who will expect flood to ravage a fish farm? I suppose there will be way to prevent such loss from flood. Having a net in place in some form before the flood could have minimized the loss.

Cant you finish the product in Nigeria and negotiate business with American company direct than going through Chinese.. Is Nigeria also at war with America ? Abeg change your business mind and move forward.
Because Chinese know Nigerians are stupid and clueless. By first exporting the cocoa to China to process, all the added value and new revenue sources goes to China, while Nigeria struggle with tax paid on raw cocoa and employment of 150 people. Tell me who is more stupid here. A French minister once said if they export a product work $1 million out of an African country, they make $50 million more on top (not actual figures but mind bungling number).

Imagine the value addition that can be done with cocoa and revenue returns if all processing is done in Nigeria. Poverty of the mind is real with Nigerians.

She was even kind enough to alert the hotel. People do this if they have no confidence in the justice system. See now, they have arrested the hotel staff for what they know nothing about. Most of the evacuation isn't done by the government of Nigeria but of the other side.

So, please get the right information well. The government of the other countries are willing to assist but Nigeria govt isn't willing to give them landing.

On the issue of shared knowledge:
Nigerians are the problem of this country, when we're ready for a change, we'll change.

I rented an apartment, only to discover that the wiring connection to the house isn't good, the neutral wire isn't good. There's an outstanding bill of 135k on the bill.

The landlady sent a representative to come loosen something from the house after I've packed him, I told the man it's not done, the next thing the man flare up.

We can make a difference and the country can be great when we are ready.

I support disintegration
Most Nigerians back home are not normal or rational human beings. Once I needed to rent apartment while in Nija for a long term project. I had to abandon the idea after visiting several apartments, seeing that people who are renting out the places did not care about the state of the apartments. All they wanted was the money. There was no commitment to offer value in return. Same reason Nigerians can't build great products or offer excellent services. The goal is just to collect your money and move on to the next person. I ended up staying in an hotel for 3months.

And on that disintegration idea, ummm! That come with a lot of risks and no one know how and where it would take the regional units. The wolves are on the sideline with their "forks and knives". If Nigerians are familiar with international politics and neo-colonialism, they wouldn't wish a disintegration now, most especially a violent one. Look at DR Congo. The wolves are having a field day there.
